Chapter 3 Rite of Descension

Arriving at Liyue Harbor, the two just arrive in time for the ceremony. AsNingguangsummons Rex Lapis, he appears dead before the entire crowd. She orders theMillelithto apprehend all suspects, the Traveler included because they aren't from Liyue and they were too close to the center. The Traveler attempts to sneak out of the area, but on the way, accidentally steps on some glass and alerts the Millelith of their presence. A group of Millelith soon surround the Traveler and Evolto, who draws their sword out. Before they can fight, ayoung Hydro userdefeats them. While Evolto defeated most of them, they left with him.

(At Liyue Harbor)

"If you wanna find the Geo Archon, this is the only chance you'll get all year. Guess it's a good thingVentibrought it up earlier, otherwise we definitely would've missed this year's Rite of Descension." She told them about geo archon

"Do you know where it is?"

"Well, Venti brought up the time, but Paimon... knows nothing about where it is... Ehe. Look, we're already in Liyue so let's go ask some of the locals. Oh, right. About the Geo Archon, "Morax"... Did you know? The Mora that we use is named after this god. But it's seen as impolite for people from outside Liyue to refer to the Geo Archon by that name. So we should refer to the Geo Archon by the name Rex Lapis, like the people of Liyue do." She explained.

He didn't listen to the explanation, but he took off.

Time skip.

After they finished talking to the people about the rites, the rites began. He notices that something is off. And They look up, they saw the dragon falling down on the ground hard.

Under Ningguang's direction, the Rite begins right on time, and Liyue's deity shows up as promised. But as the clouds disperse, the crowds watch in horror as the lifeless body of their lord drops onto the offering table.

He look up.

"Whoa! Look at all the people...We gotta get up front! We can't see squat back here!"

"The hour is upon us." Ningguang uses Geo to summon the Archon, but Rex Lapis falls out of the sky and appears to be dead

"Rex Lapis has been killed! Seal the exits!" Ninnguang ordered them Millelith guards to sealed the exits.

{Millelith guards swarm the Terrace}

Paimon:Wha... What's going on!?Did she just say Rex Lapis is...The Geo Archon... is... DEAD!?Oh no, the Millelith! Looks like they're nabbing suspects who got too close.Paimon's freaking out. The killer is amongst us!Wait... we got close... are we suspects!?Wait, where are you going?

"It was a god we faced off against when we arrived in this world too..."

"Okay, this world is interesting."

Time skip.

Later 20 minutes of talking.

As they make it far from the scene of the crime, one misstep alerts them to they're presence. Evolto transformed into his rider form.

"They're here!" Millelith Gaurd 1 said

"Arrest them!" He said

"There's nowhere to run!" As he pointed his spear at them.

"Come to me imbeciles, face your destiny! Henshin!!!"

"Cobra! Rider System! Revolution! Are you ready? Black Hole! Black Hole! Black Hole! Revolution! Fuhahahahahahahaha!"

Everyone saw his transformation.

Evol's final form accessed by upgrading Cobra Form with theEvol-Trigger. Evol refers this form as"Phase 4"(フェーズ４,Fēzu Fō). This was Evolto's natural form before being sealed by Vernage, and after achieving it once again, he no longer needs to possess a host. Upon regaining this form, Evolto can completely annihilate Earth's humanity right away at any time, but let them to continue to exist for his own amusement and agenda.

As the Traveler saw his 4th form, centuries ago, when he destroyed his homeworld.

"It's him who destroyed our world centuries ago." He clench his fist.

"What?"

"Don't stay here and capture them."

"Fool, let everyone see my power."

{Black Hole Finish}

Evol spins rapidly as a miniature black hole is generated behind him. The black hole then compresses into halo-like rings of energy as Evol delivers a powerfulflying kickto the enemy, sending them into the black hole which kills them after a period of time.

"Paimon, Did he create a black hole and beat 'em? In a black hole, why? Would you do anything that awful?"

He just shrugs off, her questions.

"Oh my..." He saw the power he has.

"Traveler, Really, can you stop me?"

"Yes!"

"Hey hey, guys stop and think about this, are you Willing to destroy our world, if you fight here, so calm down and let's go to Northland bank with me, just calm down okay?!"

Both just stop and calm down.

He reverted back in his human form. Some how, don't asked me about it.

At the Northland Bank

"Northland Bank..."

He didn't care

"Correct. This bank was opened here in Liyue by Snezhnaya. Though everyone knows Liyue is the most enterprising in Teyvat, Snezhnaya is not short of change either."

"Yeah well, poorer nations don't seem the type to have diplomats that come around acting the way yours do towards the Knights of Favonius."

"Eh-hehehehe... Here, let me give you this."

"This is a..."

"I'm not sure, exactly. Sometimes, all money can buy is "things" and not a name for oneself.All I know is that it's a sigil. A sigil to keep the "mighty and illuminated adepti" from bringing harm to both of you."

"Adepti?"

"If you head north from the harbor, then west from Guili Plains, you will eventually reach a stone forest known an Jueyun Karst."

"The people of Liyue believe it to be the abode of the adepti."

"Isn't it just a legend?"

"Legend or not, they believe it. As such, offerings to the adepti are made at its borders. Nobody dares venture in. But I have no need for believing — not when I know for a fact that the adepti truly exist."

"Hate to admit it but your Fatui intel seems alright. But, why would we go looking for adepti anyway?"

"Ha, oh my little friend. There are plenty of reasons mortals seek the blessings of adepti. Money, health, love... But you... you will go for justice."

Paimon:Justice?

"The Qixing will already have dispatched the Millelith. They'll be seeking out the assassin from amongst the onlookers.But how could a mere mortal kill a god that can sweep aside entire armies? Rex Lapis never gave up his power as a god. This level of crude response is beyond what is called for. How suspicious... And that man...is..."

"You think the Qixing did it and they're trying to pin it on someone else?"

"Your thinking is even more radical than my own, Honorary Knight. Even now, the Northland Bank wouldn't be able to hold the Millelith off for long, but the adepti can clear you of any wrongdoing. Liyue was founded by the Geo Archon and the adepti — of course, it was built by force."

"I see, does it look interesting?"

"Look for them. And be faster than the Qixing's messengers, so you may give your version of events first. If there is anyone that can help you in Liyue now, it can only be the mighty and illuminated adepti."

With that, they left.
