Cherry Pies and Backwards Baseball Hats

Chapter THIRTEEN

BPOV

20 weeks pregnant

"You look nice," Mason tells me while I'm putting earrings into my ears.

We were having a night to ourselves. I had an OB appointment earlier in the day, and everything looks perfect, so now, Mason and I were going to dinner, and maybe a movie. It didn't matter as long as we were together.

Our surprise wedding, and baby/gender reveal party is the next day. We were getting some extra quiet time because we knew that the moment everyone knows that there's a baby on the way, our quiet time will no longer be quiet.

"Do I look overly pregnant?" I honestly didn't care, but I was feeling like a beached whale. My butt had definitely gotten bigger. And my boobs? Well, don't even get me started about those. I had a feeling my nipples will be pointing south by the time our baby turns one.

Mason wrapped his arms around me from behind, and put his hands over our baby. "You're beautiful every day no matter what you wear."

I turned in his arms. "I cant wait until tomorrow."

"Neither can I," he replied then kissed me. "Are you sure California is where you wanna go on our honeymoon? I mean, it's just California. We could go to Florida, or even go to Hawaii."

"California also has San Diego with Sea World and beautiful views. Plus, we're only staying there for two nights. Who knows, we might get to see some famous actors and actresses while we're in Hollywood."

Mason slipped his hand underneath my sundress. "Can we have a quickie before we go?"

I bent over the dresser. "Have I ever denied you?"

"Quite a few times if you wanna be technical." My dress was raised up over my ass, and my panties were pushed down before he spread my ass cheeks to get a better view of my pussy.

He shoved his face in my crack and pushed his tongue into my entrance. This man always left me wet regardless of what we were doing.

A few moments later, I heard fabric being rustled around then his cock was being pushed inside of me.

Quickie needed a new name because Mason was never quick. He could jack hammer away and then minutes would roll by. I'm not complaining by any means and he always left me with a dripping pussy.

I tried to clean up the best I could, but I still had to use a pantyliner.

Mason decided on Macayo's for dinner then we were going to the Cheesecake Factory in Paradise Valley. I had to have the chocolate mousse cheesecake.

During dinner we were rudely interrupted by a tall, leggy blonde. "Edward?"

We both look up in wonder. His face turned sour. "Irena," Mason greeted coldly.

"How are you? I've been meaning to get in touch with you. I just moved back to town."

"Why would you want to get in touch with me?" The look on his face was of pure hatred.

I already knew who she was as soon as Mason said her name. She's pretty, I suppose. Tall and very skinny, too. I was definitely a complete opposite of her.

Irena shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. Maybe catch up on how life's been treating us. I hoped you'd forgiven me for what happened."

Mason waved his hand. "Whatever. You're forgiven. My wife and I were having a celebratory piece of cheesecake." I wasn't sure why he was bothering to share more words with her.

"Your wife?" She finally turned to me then back to Mason. "I didn't realize. Luke never said anything."

"Why would Luke know anything about my life? I haven't spoken to him in almost ten years, no thanks to you and him for that matter."

Her shoulders slumped. "He still talks to Eric every once in a while and him and I are still friends."

I had to put my two cents in. "Excuse me." Irena moved her gaze to me when I stood up so she could clearly see I was pregnant. "My husband has told me about you, so there won't be any catching up, late night phone calls or just showing up at our house out of the blue. You're interrupting our dessert where you can clearly see you've made my husband uncomfortable." I crossed my arms over my chest, and that made my stomach stick out more. "So before the bitch in me comes out full force, I advise you to walk away with your cheating pride intact. Have a nice life; now go away."

Irena's eyes were wide with surprise as I rubbed my hand over my stomach then sat down. "Edward?" Her voice really was annoying. I have no clue how he put up with it for so long. "All I really wanted to do was catch up; nothing else."

"There won't be any," Mason said. "Please just go."

"I'm sorry," Irena said then walked off.

"That was enlightening." I licked more chocolate off of my spoon and went in for another bite of deliciousness.

Mason chuckled. "Definitely."

On our way home we talked about how much the next day was going to be a surprise for everyone. Mason had called my parents to tell them about the surprise party for my birthday even though it already passed two weeks before. Mason's excuse was timing.

My mom called my aunts and my dad had Leah call the rest of the tribe. We were expecting quite a few people to show up. Luckily, Encanto park had good choices in pic-nick tables next to grills and a gazebo coverage.

My plan was to stay seated so I could make sure my belly was tucked under the table so no one could see. When Mason got everyone's attention we're going to announce the baby first then drop the bomb that we're getting married right then and there.

"It'll all be perfect," Mason says as we pull into the driveway. His truck was too big to fit in the garage.

There were lights on inside, so I knew the guys were home.

They were curled up on the couch watching TV. They had a bowl of popcorn they were sharing as they stared at whatever was playing. Then I heard screaming before Jose stuffed his face behind Jacobs arm.

"AnaB, unless you're up for blood and guts, then I suggest you pass on watching this movie," Jose sad after pulling his face away from Jake's arm.

"Yeah, um, no. I think I'll head to bed. I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow."

As I started towards my room with Mason in tow. "Wait!" I heard Jose yell. "I think Mason needs to sleep in the other room. You know the whole seeing the bride before the wedding thing, right?"

Jake and Jose knew about everything except the sex of the baby.

"I don't think so. We're not traditional bride and groom," Mason said firmly.

"I agree. If we were having a big wedding in a church, with the dress and tuxedo, we'd sleep separately tonight. Plus, I'm already pregnant. I love you both, but it's not happening." I started walking off. "Goodnight boys!"

My clothes were off as soon as my door closed. Mason went into the bathroom and I found him sitting on the toilet when I walked in to brush my teeth. "You wanna flip on the fan before the smell lingers into the bedroom."

Mason flipped the fan on and went back to playing his game on his phone. I did a quick brush of my teeth and looked at myself in the mirror. My body was changing in so many ways. My stomach has perfect roundness , and from the side view all I felt was excitement when I looked at it.

"Have you noticed how much my stomach's grown over the last few weeks?" I felt a few flutters of movement here and there, but nothing you could feel on the outside.

"I notice every day," he says. "Every day I put my hands on your stomach and I can feel the difference."

"I'm gonna..." I pointed towards the bedroom and got out of there as quick as I could because I was starting to smell his deuce being dropped.

A few minutes later I heard the toilet flush then the water being turned on. If I knew him as well as I think I do, he was washing his hands with a toothbrush sticking out of his mouth. I also knew that there will be a gargle of Listerine next.

Mason slipped into bed behind me and wrapped an arm over me to touch our baby. I hoped we could feel movement soon so we could experience it together. We were both asleep in no time.

"Why, of all days, do I have to wake up feeling like shit?" I was laying in bed as long as I possibly could. I was queasy with a headache. If I didn't know any better, I was probably dehydrated.

Mason had already been out and about for the last couple of hours. We didn't have to leave until two, so we could get our reserved spot set up. I wasn't doing much; Jacob and Jose were doing most of the work.

"I'm sorry, baby. Can I get you anything?" Mason sat next to me on the bed and placed his hand on my stomach and rubbed.

"Some saltines and some Liquid I.V." Mason stayed with me all day, and anytime I needed anything, he made sure to help me.

By two, I still felt like shit, so I got more Liquid I.V. and tried my hardest to keep my spirits up. It was my wedding day after all.

Sometime just after 3:30pm, people started to show up. I kept my ass planted at a pic-nick table to hide my belly. Most people wanted hugs, and I still kept my ass on the bench.

When my parents arrived, each one had a gift. Mason had told them that gifts weren't necessary. Leave it to my parents to ignore our request.

"AnaB," Jacob says hurriedly as he took a seat next to me. "I think everyone is here. Grandpa Chief just got here, so as soon as that old fart finds a seat, we can get this show on the road."

"What's the rush?" I picked up a few pieces of cubed cheese.

"I'm hungry; I need food. I may fall into a starvation coma if I don't get some kind of sustenance soon."

I laughed at him. "Jake, you won't starve. As soon as we announce the baby, then get the nuptials done, we'll get a nice, rare steak for your wolfish appetite."

"Medium well will do fine," he says just as Grandpa Chief took a seat next to me on the other side. "Took you long enough, old man."

"I'll give you old man, you three dollar bill." Grandpa Chief never held his tongue about anything. "Are you the top or bottom?"

Jake rolled his eyes." I'm realizing that I don't want to get old. If I act like this bag of wrinkles, I wouldn't blame anyone for whacking me."

"You two do this every time you see each other. I think it's because you're secretly in love." If they wanted to be jackasses, then I would join them.

Grandpa Chief nearly choked on his own saliva before saying, "He wishes. He wouldn't know how to handle a man of my stature."

"Of course I do," Jake said. "A box of Depends and pee-pee pads."

I couldn't help the laugh that escaped me. "Stop it, you two."

"I'm sorry, AnaB, but that man drives me insane."

I knew that deep down those two would fight to the death for each other if it came down to it. They loved to hate each other.

I knew Jacob cared because when Grandpa Chief had a heart attack a couple of years ago, he was so worried about him. That's definitely proof that his heart isn't as black as some people think.

"I'm going to go find Jose." Jake kissed my cheek then headed off leaving me with Grandpa Chief.

I saw Tanya and Eric making their way across the park towards us. Tanya looked like she was on a mission with Eric dragging behind her. I hoped to hell he hadn't said anything to her. I was in for an ear full if he did.

As soon as she approached me, I could see that she had something to say. "You and I need to talk."

I looked around to see if anyone was paying attention. Grandpa Chief was preoccupied with one of the many kids running around. "Does it have to be now?"

She slumped her shoulders. "No. Later is okay. Just don't forget."

"Of course." I waved my hand to an empty spot. "Take a seat." I popped another piece of cheese in my mouth. "We haven't seen each other lately. How are you and Eric?"

She smiled. "I've found my match. He's smart, has a promising career, he's hung like a horse and definitely knows how to rock my world. We don't have to be with each other constantly, but we miss each other when we're apart." Her cheeks turned pink. "I've never felt for anyone the way I feel when we're together."

"I'm so happy for you." I glanced over to where Mason was chatting with a few other people. Eric was among them. He looked just as happy as Mason.

I glanced around to make sure that everyone was exchanging pleasantries. My mom, dad, Phil, Leah and my little brother Paul, came by my table and gushed over me. As far as they knew, our reunion was for my birthday.

"Didn't Mason tell you guys that you didn't need to bring a gift?"

"We wanted to, so hush," mom says as she bends down to hug me.

Dad was next then Leah. Phil only patted my back and said Happy Birthday.

"Tanya," I crooked my pointer finger at her. "Can you go ask everyone to gather around this table? You can tell them I asked you to help me."

It was a good ten minutes before everyone was around me and Mason. He had joined me when he saw my parents headed my way.

As soon as everyone's attention was on us, Mason started to talk. "First, we want to thank everyone for coming. All of you are under the impression that we invited you for Bella's birthday, but that's not entirely true. We have a couple of things that we want to share with all of you. About eleven or twelve weeks ago, back in July, we got some news that we really are excited about." Mason stepped a little closer to help me stand up so everyone could see my protruding stomach. "We're pregnant!"

There were excited screams, hoots, hollers, hand clapping and real loud "Oh My God's". That came from my mom, Leah, and Lizzy.

"AND!" I yelled over the crowd. "We're having a boy!"

My mom and Lizzy were crying as they wrapped their arms around us. My dad even squeezed in between the along with my little brother, Paul. I looked around the crowd to see Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett. Carlisle and Esme were even here to celebrate.

Tanya was crying as Eric pulled Mason into a tight hug. Al and Vicky were next and stayed put for a whole different reason.

Mason stood up from the bench to make another announcement. "We have something else to tell you." He waited a minute to make sure everyone was paying attention. "As you all know, Bella and I have been engaged for a minute, but today, while we have all of you here, we'd like to change that." There were loud gasps and happy cries. "My uncle Al." Mason pointed down to him. "Is an ordained minister and before all of you, our family and friends, he will be marrying us right here in front of everyone. So, grab a seat anywhere you can. Stand if you have to. My cousin Eric is my best man and Jake is Bella's man of honor."

Jake slid up next to me as I turned to get my dad's attention. He had tears in his eyes and a smile on his face. "Will you give me away?"

He wrapped his arms around me. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." He kissed the top of my head and gave me one more tight squeeze. "He's a good man. I'd be a fool not to welcome him into our family."

"Thank you, daddy."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm too young to be a grandpa, though."

I giggled and swatted his arm. "You are not."

My mom pulled me into a hug next along with Leah. "I'm agreeing with your dad on this one; we're too young to be grandparents," Leah says before putting her hand on my belly just as she looked at my mom. "He can call me NeeNee."

"I'm more than happy to accept the title of Grandma." Mom hugged me tightly. "I'm so happy and proud of you."

"Thank you." I noticed when Mason gave me the international sign of Hurry Up. "Go find a place to sit. It's time for me to get hitched." Mason told Lizzy to sit with my mom and Leah closest to us.

Al was standing next to the tree we had chosen to stand near during our nuptials. Mason and Eric were to one side and Jake on the other. They waited patiently for me to get my butt in gear.

I looked at my dad. "Ready to give me away?"

He stuck his arm out at me. "No, but I guess I don't have a choice."

Thank you!
