Spells and Louds

To those who know this. Then you all know what this is about. This all takes place after the events of "Spell Luck" Where we now see how the lives of the former louds are, as they soon become something they did not expect to see coming, a hero group known as the Royal Defenders. This was originally made on 6/25/2019.

549. Chapter 549

Spells and Louds.

Chapter 549: To other world and back again.

( Tall Timbers Creek.)

The heroes have arrived to the site where Linka said she found the key. They look around and all the snow has gone, but the winter season has not ended, yet. Not until the month of March begins.

"Alright, so here we are now, and that must be the well" said Leon. They all walk towards it and see the main entrance was blocked by roof, but they see it has been blown through by a large rock and they see the rock.

Linka approaches it and sees the picnic blanket that was also used to wrap it up. "This is it, this is where I found the key….. But…" She looks around. "Did someone come and take the needle pieces?"

They all look closely and she's right, she said that the rock had some shattered needle parts, and yet they are not there. Those needle pieces are the remnants of the hand of the Beldam.

"Something doesn't feel right" said Leni. She looks around and uses the plants for her eyes and Linka does the same, then they sense something. "Heads up!"

But something lands onto Leon's face and begins to scratch him. "AAAARGH! What the hell?! Get this thing off of me!"

Carol tries to aim, but Leon's face is in the way. Linka uses her crossbow turned into a Bo Staff and she knocks it away and they see the needle-made hand of the Beldam looking at them and crawling around like a spider.

"Holy hell! That thing is freaky as shit!" Luna tries to blast ice at it, but it keeps dodging and tries to attack her, Lincoln uses Mjolnir to knock it away and it hides within the bushes.

"Alright everyone, this is bad, this is very bad!" said Sergei. "Stand fast." He then uses his anchor and throws it to the bushes, but the needle hand comes out and scratches Sergei on his neck and then rushes towards Linka.

Linka tries to shoot it and so do the others, but it's so quick that it manages to dodge their attacks and then land onto Linka and begins to probe her body.

The white-haired preteen screams and panics as it tries to look for something. "Get it off of me!"

Loni and Leni go over to help and so does Lincoln and Luna. But then they see the needle-like hand emerge from her coat and it has the key with it, the button key to the door that leads to the other world and to the Beldam.

"Stop that thing!" Gyro sends an energy blast, but it misses and the needle hand makes a run for it, and then leaps into the well and in a split second before everyone sends a barrage of attacks and decimates the entrance of the well.

They all stop and walk towards the well. They begin to remove the debris and see the bottom of the well is glowing. "Well, that can't be good" said Boomer.

"That thing got the dang key! This is bad" said Lori.

"What the heck do we do now?" asked Luan. "The plan is now a total bust and without the key we can't go to that world."

Lincoln then rearms his blaster and sees Loni comforting Linka, and Leni also comforts her little sister. Lincoln looks to the well. "Everyone, lock and load. Time to go and screw with a witch."

Neil sighs. "We're lucky that Sabrina isn't here, or Aggie, otherwise that would've sounded racist."

"Aggie was told about this guys" said Peter. "She knows that we're up against something vile and unholy. Let's move!" Peter then jumps into the well with his sword, Blood Crucible.

Soon the others follow, and even Linka. Her fear is gone, and now she's filled with anger. That hand needle and that witch are gonna die in her hands. Loni also joins them, with a weapon they gave him to use. Let's hope he can fight, he was good manning the Odin after all.

Clover looks around and he places down the vanguard beacon to call nearby forces to guard the well. "Alright, time for some action." He leaps into the well and swan dives into the portal.

( Ashland, Oregon.)

The well to the nearby apartment turned mansion, it breaches open and the first person to come out is Peter and he lands on his legs as he jumps out. "Nailed it!"

Then Boomer comes out and screams and then lands onto Peter. "Sorry."

"You dick!" Peter then pushes him off. "What the hell, man?!" Then Leon is thrown out the well and he lands on Peter. "Why?!" Then comes Sergei, Neil and then the others, but they land safely and not on Peter Sharp.

Gyro flies out of the well and lands down and morphs to his human form. "Alright then. We're here, we made it and this place smells like something out of gravity falls."

Sam looks to him confused. "Gravity Falls? What?"

Gyro then realizes. "Yeah, ummm, forget I said that one." He then looks around. "The Beldam is here, she's real and she is damn dangerous. Now, where the hell did her damned hand run off too?"

Clover is the last to leap out of the well and he uses his weapon, Kingfisher to lasso onto the nearby tree branch and land safely next to Neil. "This place looks like it needs some gardening, a whole of lot gardening. Where's the target now?"

Lincoln scans the perimeter with his mask and so does Linka and Jordan. "I got something guys." He sees some trails of energy, dark and cold energy. "The hand was here, and it's inbound somewhere, come on!"

They all begin to follow Lincoln, Linka and Jordan and all of them are ready for a fight, then they hear a car alarm blaring. "You guys hear that?" Then a silver family car lands onto Boomer. "Well, that about sums it up, and ow!"

Sergei pushes the car off of Boomer. "This was not supposed to be flying."

They then feel the ground shake and then they hear people panicking. "What the hell was that?" asked Gwen. She pulls out her bow and she rushes towards the nearby tree and takes the high ground and is shocked at what she sees. "Guys! We got a problem!"

They all check it out and are shocked to see the large home, known as the Pink Palace Apartments and it's under attack from within. "Whoa! Now that pink house just turned to hellish dark real fast" said Leon.

Gyro was now angered, he knows what this is. "The Beldam, she has the key and she's now unleashing her wrath!"

They see this blue skinned, tall Russian man Bobinsky and his mice fleeing from the attic as the whole home is shaking and shuttering and a vicious scream is heard throughout the whole area.

"This is not to be looking too good!" yelled Bobinsky. "We must flee, my friends! Flee!"

Spinks and Forcible manage to get out along with most of their terriers, and one terrier is wearing an angel outfit for some reason and they back away and watch as black slugs and deadly bat versions of their dogs fly out and begin to circle the mansion.

"What in heaven's name?!" Forcible uses her glasses. "Is that our dogs?!"

"Our dogs aren't monsters, they're angels!" said Spinks and she tries to calm down the other dogs barking at the other world Terriers.

Then Wybie and his grandma arrive and see this. "What the heck? Grandma stay back!" He does his best to keep his grandma safe and he uses a nearby tree branch to chase away the flying demon terriers.

The front door of the house opens and coming through are a mother, father and their 11 year old daughter. They are the Jones family. Charlie, Mel and Coraline Jones.

Seeing the girl was enough to make them realize that she is the girl the witch is after. "Well, now we know who she wants, that must be one clever girl to take down and stop the Beldam" said Carol. She then arms her rifle and snipes the needles coming out of the house.

The rest of the heroes begin to join in and snipe, shoot and blast the large needles breaching out of the Pink Palace, and they make their advance to the mansion. "Let's end this nightmare!" said Lincoln.

Coraline looks to the pink palace they moved in last year and many months ago and she hears the bellowing roar of something she knows and never thought she'd hear ever again.

" Coraline! Where are you my dear? Show yourself, your mother has to see you and I missed you! Show yourself you brat! Where are you?! "

Mel looks to her daughter. "Coraline, what on earth is going on? What's happening?!"

Charlie also asks. "Why is it calling your name?!" Then he sees his computer fly out and hit the ground and get smashed. "Well, there goes the catalogue."

Coraline sheds some tears. "She's back. The witch, the Beldam, she's back! But how?!"

A large needle looking hand comes out of the house and tries to grab her, but it gets shot off by Luna.

Coraline and the others are shocked to see these odd people as they advance and attack the relentless demon from the mansion. "The reason why she's back, that key you and that boy tossed into the well went into our world and that wretched hand of hers managed to get it!" said Sergei.

Sergei then throws his anchor and it hits one of the other large needle hands. "This thing is gonna be ugly for sure!"

Leon has two SMG's and he goes Rambo on the place. "Die you wretched heathen from hell! Go back to the shadow! You shall not pass! Long live the King! You are terminated!"

"Stop saying movie reference stuff, dude!" Luna freezes one of the needle hands and then she throws her Runeblade and then calls it back and sends more ice blasts.

Martin then makes a barrier to the other people. "Stay in the field and stay safe!" Martin then takes off and he looks at the house from above.

"Guys, I'm picking up a large amount of magical energy emanating from within the house. The source of this attack is in there, the hot issue is that something is coming out and sure as hell, that thing is big!"

Dana then freezes one of the hands. "I thought she didn't have much power!"

Gyro then smells the air and he smells something foul. "Fel! She has Fel magic!"

"What?!" Boomer dodges and he uses his toxic scythe to slice one of the large needle hands. "How did fel get to this world? She can't even possess it, can she?!" He then dodges one of the large needle hands and then Neil smashes it with Deathwing's mace.

Gyro continues to look towards the house. "Yet I smell the vile stench of demon's blood. There is fel, and it could be why she has more power! She got stronger and now she's trying….. To come to our world!"

A large needle hand tries to stab him, but then a fireball hits it and they see someone walk out of a fiery portal and has some troops within coming out and helping shoot, the FutureTech Peacekeepers are here, and Shang Tsung.

"I managed to find out where you were when you didn't answer your calls." Shang Tsung walks towards them, and looks to the Pink Palace. "There is fel here, and the Beldam managed to get some of the essence and use it to break free, once she got the key of course and now she plans to take over this world and claim her revenge."

The residents of the Pink Palace are confused. "Revenge? Revenge on who?!" asked Mel.

Jordan rides Dominic and dodges the large needle claw coming out and let's Lincoln shatter it. She then lands next to the civilians. "The beldam is here for her, your kid."

They all look towards Coraline. "Coraline, is this true?" asked Charlie.

Coraline nods. "I'm the reason why she's here. Because I escaped and stopped her, from taking my parents and me and also for freeing the ghost children, and one of them is Wybie's grandma's sister."

This shocks them and they see the large needle hand trying to break the barrier but it can't.

"Then what on earth are they to do to stop this……. This Baba Yaga-look alike?" asked Mr. Bobinsky.

Spink then thinks. "Perhaps if her source is taken down, then she'll be stopped. Perhaps try and kill the heart of the witch, and then take her magic."

Ms. Forcible scoffs. "Nonsense, they would have to close whatever door she came from and then lock her up, for good."

They then start to bicker which one is correct, Gyro thinks about what they said. "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. They're right!"

"We are?" asked Spink and Forcible.

Gyro then sends a wave of energy to knock back the remaining needle claws coming, but there's more to come as the ground rumbles. "We're going to have to find the source, kill her within and then bail the hell out of there and lock that damned crawl space door, close it for good!"

Coraline then realizes. "B-But, that crawl space is deep in the house! Somewhere at the living room place!"

"Then someone's gonna have to dive-in, with someone powerful, fend off the remaining threats coming, kill the Beldam and then lock the door, then bail out of there because that house might not be standing when the rumbling subsides!" said Becky.

"Shang Tsung and I can easily take her down, we can't let her live" said Gyro. "If we weaken her, we might be able to slow her attacks and then strike her at her most vulnerable."

"Indeed, but we must be fast and search for her true form and then send her corpse back into her world" replied Shang Tsung. "Because even though she'll be dead, it doesn't mean she can't come back."

Coraline steps up, and out of the barrier. "Coraline, what are you doing?" said Mel as she tries to grab her daughter.

"I'll come with you guys. I know my way around the house and I fought this thing once and I can do it again, she doesn't scare me and she can be fooled, easily" said Coraline.

"What?! No!" said Charlie. "Coraline, don't! I forbid you to do this!"

"Coraline, listen to your father, let the grownups handle this. Not you!" said Mel.

"It is a suicide attempt, and we cannot let you go in there to get harmed, in fact I will come as well!" said Bobinsky. "I am quite athletic and can be able to help move around faster!"

Coraline looks to all of them. "Stop!" They all remain silent and she goes towards her parents.

"Guys, you always thought I wasn't quite responsible and never took me seriously when it came to things that I'm trying to tell you, so let me be responsible to take down what I caused. She's here because of me, she's attacking because of me and she won't stop till she gets me, and I need to end her."

"Because just like the ghost kids from before, the Beldam is my curse and I need to remove it, myself."

Mel and Charlie are amazed by her courage and her sense of responsibility. "Alright" said Mel. Charlie is shocked, but then he understands.

"I….. I guess I can agree, but pleas be careful. We don't wanna lose you" said Charlie.

"You won't." Coraline hugs her parents.

Mel sheds some tears. "You can do this, and I believe in you that you can stop this thing. I'm sorry we never believed you from before, about everything you said."

They then depart from the hug. "It's okay. That was the past and I kinda understand why I wasn't taken too seriously about it, I am a kid after all and our imaginations can get wild." She then looks to Sergei Bobinsky. "Ready for this?"

The man steps out of the barrier and does some warm-ups. "As ready as I will ever be, Coraline and together we will stop this Baba Yaga and save the home all of us residing in."

Coraline looks to Gyro. "Let me tag along, I can help."

Gyro nods, but then Shang Tsung intervenes. "As good as it would be to have a child come with us who has conquered the Beldam before, we lack one key instrument in our plan, and that would be the key to the crawl space from where she came from."

They then look to the Pink Palace. "And that key is in there, and obviously in the clutches of that witch."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Coraline goes over to the Pink Palace and so does Gyro, Shang Tsung and Bobinsky.

Lincoln then loos to the others. "Alright, while they're all in there. We gotta keep shooting at anything that surfaces from the house, we keep the Beldam at bay so the others can take her down and lock her up, for good!"

They all have their weapons locked and loaded and they're powers ready. Dana and Becky manage to get the residents of the place to safety, somewhere far but where they can still see the Pink Palace.

The Jones parents are both concerned. ' Coraline, please be safe.'

Inside the house; the group walks slowly inside and sees so much damage has been made and done, and what's worst, is that the halls are coated in black sludge and have small insects crawling around and chitterling.

"This place, doesn't seem as house as I once knew" said Bobinsky. But his heart sank when he sees some of his mice, that are now gone and also the make-shift circus tent he made for his jumping mouse circus.

"We must remain vigilant, that damned witch could be anywhere and this whole place reeks of her damned magic and chaos" said Shang Tsung.

They then hear a snickering sound. "That must be her." Gyro looks to Coraline. "Stay behind me, child." Coraline nods and she hides behind Gyro's cloak and they make their way to the living room and there, they see her.

Sitting upside down on a web in the ceiling, is the Beldam and all of her hideous glory.

Coraline sees her and the Beldam is still as ugly as she was, but her eyes have been patched up back into buttons, but these buttons seem to change color depending on her mood.

Bobinsky is shocked at what he sees and he blabbers some words in Russian and is, well scared.

The Beldam smiles and looks to the group. "Well, well." They see her hands are glowing green and green smoke is in the room, and they don't see the floor. "Look who came back. Still afraid of me, magician?"

Gyro looks to her sternly. "It's guardian you filthy witch, and I am not scared of you, not anymore."

"You're time of making chaos and killing children are done" said Shang Tsung. "And we're taking the vile magic you stole and destroying it, along with you, witch."

The Beldam chuckles and she crawls on the walls and lands onto the couch in the middle of the room and the couch has eyes. "Is that so? Well, this magic was a fortunate find for me. Came when I made my own, portal. I learned to use new powers and how to go to other worlds and I finally got what I want."

They see the key around her neck, wearing it as if it were a necklace. "But this was the just the first phase of what I wanted, what I truly wanted was the girl who stopped me and now, you brought her to me!" She lunges forward, but they all evade her attack and begin to engage the Beldam.

Gyro uses a gravity distortion blast and he sends her flying across the room and then Bobinsky grabs the lamp and hits her, followed by Shang Tsung summoning a giant fiery cobra to wrap her up.

Coraline sees this and then she sees the key has fallen and she grabs it. "I have the key, guys!"

The Beldam sees this and is enraged. "No! Not again!" She breaks free and crawls towards Coraline. "I am not going back to my world and you are not going to escape me, again!" Bobinsky then tackles the witch and kicks her to the wall.

The Beldam manages to land onto the wall and begins to crawl around and dodge the magic attacks from Gyro and Shang Tsung. Coraline goes over and checks on Bobinsky. "Are you okay Mr. B?"

"Da, I am Coraline and I haven't fought like this, since Chernobyl!" Bobinsky gets up and he grabs the lamp and he begins to hit the Beldam before it lands onto Coraline.

Shang Tsung and Gyro look to each other and nod, they use they're powers to make witch slaying weapons. Gyro has an arcane spear and Shang Tsung has made a fiery pole axe and they go in and they engage the Beldam who uses her needle hands to counter their melee attacks.

Coraline then sees the crawl space and a lot of black magic seeping out. She goes over and tries to close it, but the Beldam sees this. "No!" She knocks the two spell casters away and goes for Coraline.

"No!" Bobinsky gets in the way and he's pierced through his right side from the witch, and he falls to the ground in bleeding pain.

Coraline then moves out of the way and the Beldam lands into the hallway of the crawl space door, but she goes back and tries to go to Coraline, the girl manages to close the door but it's budged open and slowly the Beldam opens it and snickers and looks to Coraline.

"If I am to go back to the other world, then you are coming with me!" She tries to grab Coraline.

But she's impaled by two weapons and she sees that Gyro and Shang Tsung have landed a lethal hit and now the Beldam screeches in pain, and she struggles to keep the door open. "No…. I will…… Will not go down…… L-Like this!"

She tries to go for Coraline again, but someone pushes her out of the way and takes the Beldam back to her wretched domain. "Mr. B! No!"

They all watch as the blue skinned Russian drags the heathen witch into the crawl space. He looks back to Coraline and smiles. "Go Coraline, I think this is my finest hour! Take care of the mice for me."

Coraline tries to go in to save him, but Gyro grabs her and Shang Tsung closes the crawl space and then locks it with the key. "We have to go, now! This whole place is gonna come down right on top of us!"

Gyro then uses a blink spell and they are warpped out of the house and are now outside. They all fall to the ground and look to the house that has large tentacles that are swaying back and forth and the tentacles are made of buttons and dolls that are screaming.

"The beldam's magic is still here, she's not dead yet!" said Shang Tsung.

They continue their attack on the remaining magic from the witch and then Coraline's parent's race towards her to see if she was okay.

But they all watch as the Pink Palace begins to grow giant needle spider legs which makes it mobile and it roars at them, this kinda makes Neil and Leni go wide-eyed. They are sort of afraid of spiders still, but they shake away the fear and engage the living monster house.

"Kill it!" said Lincoln. He then has Sky Striker and he sends a bolt of light pixel distortion lightning to damage the house.

Clover dodges and he uses his fishing rod to grapple around and then blast it several times and then he grabs Coraline and brings her far from the fight. "You did all you could, we can only hope that the witch dies out. Stay here!"

Coraline nods and she watches as all the heroes keep fighting and try to lock down the house, but the house sees Coraline and roars at her. "Oh, so it wants her. Of course it does." Sergei throws his anchor and it hits the windows at the attic and then he summons lightning to damage it.

"No matter what we do, that thing won't go down!" said Lori. "That's it!" She summons a large lava claw and the Beldam formed house begins to attack the lava claw, they do notice something off about the house, it has a face growing and the face looks familiar.

"The Beldam!"

"How?!" said Boomer. He dodges the large needle spider leg and he slices it with his toxic scythe. "I thought she was dead!"

"Ethereal body displacement" said Shang Tsung. "The Beldam knew she would be slain, and so she was one step ahead of us. She transferred her soul into the house, so she can continue to wreak havoc and claim her revenge."

"Which means Bobinsky's sacrifice was for nothing!" Gyro blasts away one of the needle spider claws.

Coraline then sees Linka dropped an explosive. "Wait! She doesn't have much magic and she's now the house. We can blow her up!" She grabs the explosive, but then she stops and looks to Wybie's grandmother. "Ma'am permission to…"

"Go ahead! Light her up! That thing took my sister, and is now taking the house I called home, now take her down!"

Coraline nods and she races back into the fight. "Coraline!" Her parents race to stop her.

The heroes focus their attacks onto the main body of the house. Luna freezes some of the legs and breaks them, but only to see new ones come out. "You gotta be kidding me!"

Luan sets up some traps and she moves out of the way as they go off and shatter the rest of the legs. "Yes!" Then she sees new ones come out, and this angers her. "Dang it! Guys, I'm out of traps and other items." She moves out of the way and lets Leon blast the house with a grenade launcher.

Leni uses her vines to hold down the large bewitched house, and Linka uses a shock round to stun it and it works. "I guess she can feel that one!" She keeps throwing shock rounds and Victor and Sam help stun the house with electricity and Tesla.

Jack Cyber transforms into an 88mm Flak gun and Loni drops his gauss rifle and mounts him and blasts the house with heavy duty concrete buster rounds. "Go down, you stupid house!"

Coraline sees that they have the bewitched Beldam house stunned and rooted, and so she readies to throw the explosive charge and she sees the head of the Beldam look at her. " I will kill you for this, Coraline! "

Coraline is unfazed by this. "No, you won't. Because you're not gonna come back this time!" She throws the explosives and it flies into the mouth of the Beldam, and the demon witch house swallows the charge and it is ready to detonate, less than 15 seconds.

Coraline tries to run before it blows and she sees her parents going towards her. "Mom, dad. Run!"

The Beldam sees the parents and grabs them. " If I'm going down, I'll take them with me! " She lunges forward and devours Mel and Charlie.

As if time has slowed down, Coraline just watched as her parents have been eaten by the monster she swore to destroy, the monster that she listened to from long ago and the monster who haunted her and took her parents. The game was set, and made when she opened that crawl space and now its game over.

Coraline looks back and see the large head of the Beldam snicker and she sees her mother's hand within reaching for her, Coraline reaches but she sees her mom appear. "Coraline….. Go, save yourself."

"No!" Coraline tries to go and reach, but the house ignites and detonates into a fiery explosion and everyone is shocked at what had happened. Coraline is knocked back but Gwen catches her before she could hurt herself on the ground and she shoots one of the incoming debris.

Everyone takes cover as debris from the shattered house begins to fall all over the place.

They all look towards the house, well what's left of it is now fiery ruin and smoking ashes.

Coraline looks around and sees that nothing is left. She sheds some tears and looks to the remains of the house, with Gwen and the others following her.

Shang Tsung looks around. "The Beldam, is gone."

"But at what cost?" said Gyro.

They all look to Coraline. She then falls to her knees and she cries, she lost her parents, the only family she knew and ever had and ever to have loved.

Gwen goes over and comforts the crying girl, and the remaining residents of the Pink Palace feel sorry for her, and what had happened.

Gwen then looks towards Neil. "What do we do now?"

Neil looks to the girl and he places a hand on her shoulder, and looks around the place. "This….. This is…. what the hell happened?"

Coraline knew what happened. The Beldam played a game, and even though they beat her, the witch still won and took something important and that important was the love Coraline had.

Linka goes to the remains of the home and she sees the picture of Coraline and her parents, not badly burnt and in good condition, Linka then looks to the doll in her hand and it begins to fade into dust.

"We won, and yet we all still lost."

A/N: Not what some of you had expected, and not what all of you thought would even happen even with the defeat and destruction of the dreaded witch, the Beldam. What happens to Coraline Jones now? The next chapter will tell that one. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
