Well, this is awkward so uh I was sick so I couldn't really do anything but now it's much better so I won't waste any more of your time and let the chapter begin!
Team Z
After Kira left but not without whining about how "unfair" it was that he was the one disqualified, Ego explained the function of stage 1 of blue lock.
"There are five buildings each one has four teams that are going to compete in a league-like structure." Ego lied with a straight face.
"Each team is going to play one game against the other team in their building, so there are going to be three matches for each team."
"The top two teams qualify for the next stage."
"But of course,"
"The top goal scorers for the two disqualified teams qualify for the next round."
'So that means if my team gets disqualified but I'm the top goal scorer I still qualify for the next round' Isagi thought.
"Of course, we'll give you a week to prepare, rest or do whatever you want. But I recommend training since the facilities here at Blue Lock are top tier."
"That is all goodbye for now…." Then the TV screen went back to the ceiling and turned off.
'Weird' Yami thought.
It seemed like the technology here is far more advanced in here than in his old world.
"So what now?" Isagi asked a decent question.
"Right, we don't know the layout here," Kunigami added.
Yami shrugged and walked out the door and started to explore, Isagi followed close behind.
"So Yami, what are you going to do with the free time we have?" Isagi said while exploring the layout with Yami.
"Isn't it obvious?" Yami replied then said without giving Isagi the time to answer: "Train."
He said that they coincidently walked through the door leading them to the gym.
'What a coincident' Yami thought amused.
Both looked around seeing that the gym equipment was high-quality looking.
"And you?" Yami questioned Isagi back as he went on the treadmill and started jogging.
"Rest for a bit and then train I guess," Isagi said as he went beside Yami on another treadmill and also started jogging.
After a decent time jogging, the two stepped off the treadmill looking very tired.
"So what now?" Isagi asked between baited breaths.
And very hungry.
"To the cafeteria!" Yami said and started walking to the exit.
"How do you know there's a cafeteria?" Isagi said but still followed closely behind Yami.
Yami turned around and gave Isagi a weird look, but then he continued walking without saying anything.
'Oh right, we're gonna be staying here for a long time so of course there's a cafeteria' Isagi mentally face slapped.
After arriving at the cafeteria the duo already saw a lot of people sitting there and chatting.
Yami went to the food thingy they have and took a balanced and nutritious meal.
Isagi took the same one.
They looked for a place to sit and saw that their teammates were gathered at one table so they went and sat there.
"Is everyone in Team Z here?" Kunigami questioned looking around to find that there were two people missing.
"I think that Isagi and Yami haven't arr-" the red-haired Chigiri was cut off by a "Yo." From Yami as both he and Isagi sat down at the table.
Kunigami nodded and revealed the discussion of the "meeting".
"Please can everyone reveal their rank from lowest to highest?" Kunigami said.
Isagi grimaced as he said: "#300"
The rest nodded and continued listening.
"#299" –Okuhito Lemon
"#298" –Asahi Naruhaya
"#297" –Gin Gagamaru
"#296" –Yudai Imamura
"#295" –Jingo Raichi
"#294" –Yami
"#293" –Wataru Kuon
"#292" –Hyoma Chigiri
"#291" –Rensuke Kunigami
"#290" –Meguru Bachira
Yami's eyebrows furrowed thinking: 'How the hell can Wataru Kuon have a higher rank than me!'
"Bachira because you're the highest ranking you should be the captain." Kunigami said in a "rightfully" tone and many agreed with him.
"Nah I don't want to." Bachira shrugged.
"Then I should be the captain any objections?" Kunigami turned to the rest of Team Z.
Yami shrugged and no one said anything.
"Good, now then I want to hear your plans during our free time," Kunigami demanded.
The replies were mostly: "Rest, train. Rest. Train."
But Kuon said: "Play rest, and maybe train once."
Kunigami glared at him and commanded him to not play and train more, at that the future traitor only grumbled a bit and quieted down since Kunigami is the captain they "have" to follow his orders.
Of course, everyone knew that that wasn't set in stone and you could whatever you want, but they were going to play along for now but on the field….every man for himself.
After that, the team went back to their dorm to rest.
However, Yami stayed awake with one thought in his mind:
The past.
Yami who was formerly named Justin had died after a disaster at a football match and transmigrated to another world.
So he couldn't help but think of his family.
His family wasn't big it was made of four.
His dad.
His mom.
His little sister.
And him.
His dad was your average office worker named "Mark".
He was a good husband and a loving father.
His mom was a teacher at a primary school her name was "Sarah".
She was a good wife and a loving mother.
His little sister turned 18 the day after the match he died at.
She was sweet and caring but sometimes like a little devil.
He had planned to bring her a birthday present when he was coming back.
He never came back.
After remembering the memories of his past life he got emotional and sad.
If only he hadn't gone to that game.
Yami went to sleep that day silently crying himself to his slumber.
Chapter end.
I know it was a short chapter but honestly am not really in the mood to continue.
Also finally a bit of Yami's past life is revealed.
I remembered to write it what a miracle!
Anyways nothing else to say.
Goodbye!
