Spells and Louds
Chapter 557: What we might expect.
(Ketcham Park.)
The sun is shining and it is a good day to be January 25, even though the kids from all schools have a hell ton of studying to do, and some projects and school work to catch up and finish before the deadline reaches.
Lincoln had just finished his project and book report and now all he has to do is pass it tomorrow. Classes are done for the day and everyone wants a break, but not when so much is at hand for school.
Lincoln arrives and he parks his Vulture Bike and sighs. 'Dang. School sure was rough today. But it is Monday and sure to heck nobody loves it when it's Monday.'
Lincoln then walks into the park and he tries his best to calm down and take in some of the sights and sounds and also try to calm his nerves from the many school work and other stuff coming in.
Lincoln sees not much kids and teens or even preteens in the area, and all he sees are Lynn Jr and her soccer team practicing for the upcoming game on February 1. Which he will be there to watch.
Lincoln does kick the ball back before it hits him and he waves to Lynn and the others and they wave back and then they go back to the game.
The snow-haired boy then continues to walk around the park and tries to get some peace of mind from the real crisis at hand.
'Alright Lincoln. Find your happy place and think happy thoughts, you have one heck of a test inbound and you gotta be prepared for when the whole thing begins. You gotta pass this and then you can advance in the grades and keep the whole thing going until you finally reach the next big test and then hit the final one and advance in Middle School.'
'A lot is at hand and I wanna make mom proud and happy for what I did and I know mom will do well with her High School grades too. Then perhaps when summer hits, then we can see this big plan on how we can live on our own, but not too far from the Spellman home.'
But as he walks, he then recalls the battle from the Koprulu Sector on Endion and what happened when Loona saved him.
'Why in the hell do I keep on thinking about what Auntie Loona did for me, the day she got me out of that mess and then we had this weird feeling. Like, another worldly feeling inside of us. Good lord Almighty, what the heck is going on?'
Lincoln continues to walk around and tries to think of something else, but he can't get the feeling from what he and Loona had.
'What did that feeling mean? Is there another world where there is a version of me who met the crew of I.M.P? Did this Lincoln go face-to-face with the dreaded No Such Luck thing? This is all so much to take in and a whole lot to process. I have to check on Gyro and ask him about this, he might know what's going on.'
"Hey kid." Lincoln stops and he sees someone on a bench near him as he walks, it was none other than his hellhound auntie and the wife of Sergei Dragunov Spellman, Loona Dragunov Spellman. "Didn't think you'd be here. Don't you have school stuff to do?"
Lincoln decides to sit next to her. "Sort of, but I'm trying to calm my nerves before the test coms for us this Friday and sure as heck I am ready for the whole thing." He then looks to the hellhound. "So, what are you doing here? I thought you'd be back at the Spellman Hell Mansion, with Uncle Sergei."
Loona smirks. "Well, not this time. Sergei said he's taking the kids for a small joy ride in the Tank or something like that, and I think he's going to take them fishing somewhere in the forest. So, gives me some me time and away from some of the stress."
"Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and Sergei, but at times I could use some peace and quiet time and some checking up with Octavia and the rest of I.M.P. They also gave me a day off and said there aren't much clients asking for a kill. This sure beats being the receptionist and more time to be myself."
Lincoln chuckles. "Yeah, I heard that and sure as hell, it feels good to be away from the crowd and be by myself and relax and take in the scenery."
They both remain in silence and don't say anything. They check on their phones every once in a while and then go back to taking in the peace and serenity.
Loona then asks. "So, have you been feeling this odd feeling since the whole battle on Endion?"
Lincoln didn't think she'd bring that up. "Yeah, pretty much."
Loona sighs. "Same here Lincoln. I mean, at night I would just wake up and go to the study of the mansion and look out the window. Like this odd feeling of….. Motherly instincts, you know?"
Lincoln was unsure about what she had just said. "I just have these weird feelings, feelings like something is out there and is drawing me to go to it and see what's going on. I have been having some odd dreams, but I never thought I would have a dream that is so…."
"Bloody?" Lincoln looks to the hellhound and sees concern on her face. "Me too. A weird and twisted dream where I just killed off a lot of folks and for some reason you and Luna are there and we're all covered in blood and enjoying the killing spree and it feels, so good."
Lincoln sees Loona's eyes begin to glow and she also starts to growl. "Yeah, no kidding." He then tells her. "Loona, I plan to go and ask Gyro what the heck is going on. You want in?"
Loona looks to Lincoln, and smiles. "Yeah, I think that sounds like a good idea. We'll find the answers from that guy, even though I was planning to talk to Alastor."
Lincoln then rethinks this idea with what Loona had just said. "How about this? First we see if Gyro is available to talk, and if he ain't, then we go and talk to the Radio Demon."
Loona smirks. "That sounds like an even better idea. If feathers isn't gonna be around, then we talk to smiles. He's as wise and smart ass as Gyro any day."
"And also dangerous" replied Lincoln.
(Spellman Estate.)
Michelle Lewis is in the family room and she's looking to the letter she received and is still confused as to what to make of the new situation she found out.
She got the letter from her grand uncle, Edgar Lewis and this letter comes with a will and the deed to the mansion of her grandfather, Bernard Lewis Sr. She then reads the letter.
"Dear Michelle. If you are reading this, then it has happened. I have passed away and the rest of the Lewis family is mourning and I just wanted you to read this, so please do not stop reading the letter and read what I have to say."
"Michelle, I know it was hard when the family casted you out from the funeral of your parents and it pained me to see the family do that to you, even though you did live a Hollywood life and nearly forgot about the many reunions we had. Seeing you arrive was good enough for me and deep down, I missed seeing the same curious girl who wanted to do something in life."
"The entire family has made me feel truly disappointed into the actions they committed towards you and I am truly ashamed to eve call them family, but they mean well and even you mean so much to me, even after the passing of your parents. I still looked to you as the granddaughter I have always truly loved amongst all the others."
"I understand why you wouldn't come to my funeral, even if my son would let you, he knows and understand why you wouldn't come and we respect that. But just know, that what the will has says it all to show you that you are still a Lewis and that whatever I leave for you, belongs to you and to those who gave you the reason to live and be redeemed."
"I heard about the tale of when you committed the crime of murder to a famous British rockstar, but I doubted that was you, because the real Michelle I know and love would never do something like that, and then I heard about what you confessed, that you were blackmailed by that hoodlum who made you into the Hollywood star and took you away from the family."
"I knew you weren't a bad person, and that deep down, the real Michelle Lewis is in there and has been doing her hardest to come back and reason with us the truth. But the rest of the family still despised you, and I was heartbroken by their mean and rude words about you."
"Then the news came about you being part of a new family, the Spellman's and that you were given the chance of redemption and now have pledged your service and aid to the duo who gave you another reason to live, and that is what I am truly proud of. Seeing you become a batter person and helping those who helped you."
"I wish I could be there, and be happy for the life you have now, but things come and go and even though we haven't spoken in a long, long time. Know that I will always be watching over you, watching as you become such a brave and kind-hearted woman, with a new family to help you onto the future you seek."
"Sincerely yours; Bernard Lewis Sr."
Michelle wipes away her tears and she reads the will and she sees what it says.
She now owns 50 billion dollars of the Lewis family riches from the elder who passed away, the other 50 billion is now with Bernard Jr, the son of Bernard Sr and her only family who likes her. Okay so her great uncle Edgar and Joey also still respect her as family.
Michelle is also surprised that she now owns the Lewis mansion that once belonged to Bernard Sr, and that she may do whatever she wants with it. But what the heck is she going to do with the large mansion that is three floors tall with one big spacious attic.
She already told her Great uncle Edgar that she wants to donate the 10 acres of land she owns to some local farmers who could use it, but she'll inform him and Bernard Jr on what she wants to do with the mansion.
'What in the heck?! I now own a mansion, but I don't know what else to do with it…. Wait, unless…'
Michelle then goes through her phone and she looks back at some pics she took and she finds it.
A picture of Albert Willard (Pop-pop) standing at the large open field that hasn't been sold or bought yet, and the whole thing belongs to him because they found the long lost will and deed of the Willard family from long ago.
The Faunus farmers have their own lands and don't own this and now this place is up for grabs and no one else has even claimed it.
'This place is somewhere on the North area of Royal Woods, and the Spellman Estate is South of Royal Woods.' Michelle smiles. 'I think I got an idea! The idea for Lincoln and Luna to live on their own and not be far from the family! I need to call my friend and cancel the last plan, then I'll call FutureTech, and I hope they can do this kind of move.'
Michelle grabs her phone and she makes the call. But she has no clue Neil and Gwen are looking at her and they go back to the Dining room to talk.
"You think she's up to something with that mansion she now owns?" asked Gwen.
"Hard to say, but she seems happy. Almost like she has an idea, could she be planning on the thing Luna wants to do when she leaves this place with Lincoln?" said Neil.
They both look back to Michelle and she's talking to her friend. Whatever plan she has, they can only wait for when the time is right for her to tell them.
(Somewhere on the Eastern Side of Royal Woods.)
By the outskirts of town, the night has fallen and a white car with a couple drive towards the town after a good night of star gazing, these are new folks who moved in days ago and are headed back.
But they don't know, that something in the ground is moving and is headed to where they're headed to.
The car stops and goes to the side to change its tire and the husband comes out and he begins to change it.
He's unaware that something is going towards him and it is hungry and it's not alone either.
To be continued…..
