Chapter 561: The Aftermath of the Aftershock.
(Royal Woods Middle School.)
The day has come, the test is here, the test is going to begin and a lot of the students are on the bus and it's being towed by the Grimm alpha Megoliath, the bus's tires blew and the Grimm decides to tow the bus for all of the preteens to go to school. That's nice.
Lincoln, Jordan and Linka are already there and talking about the test today, and they see they're friends coming out of the bus and Hope's limo arrives and Hope Pertland comes out and goes towards them.
"Well, here we go" said Linka. They know what's gonna happen.
"Guys! We heard about what happened! Are you guys okay?" asked Stella.
"Those big things the Mayor told us about, what were they?" asked Rusty.
"Were they some kind of alien experiment gone wrong?" asked Zach.
"Are them big worm things gonna come to my farm? What about them Shrieking things?" asked Liam.
"We all heard the explosions and battling you guys did! How was it?" asked Jenny.
"How the heck did you guys beat them? Was someone with you in the fight?" asked Artie.
"How big was one of those worm things or those big Shrieker things?" asked Lance.
"What was the name of those weird fire butt flying things?" asked Polly.
"You think they'll come back again?" asked Tabby.
"Was Burt Gummer actually here in Royal Woods?!" That one is from Chad, Richie and Flat Tire. Turns out, they know who the man is and have been trying to follow his survival skills, but they did not know he was a monster hunting man on a mission.
"Why the heck did I see Boomer on a small airship and tied to it the other day?" asked Hope. She was on her roof and bird watching a lot of bird-type Pokèmon, and then she was Boomer from the distance.
Simon walks up from behind the group and looks to Lincoln, Linka and Jordan. "I don't know what's gotten them all riled up. We should be glad we're all fine and those things are dead as hell."
Lincoln clears his throat. "Guys, guys. Calm down, we can't answer all of your questions. We have classes today, well the big test. Can we get to the talking after the test?"
"We can focus on the aftermath of what happened when the test is done. We need to focus on studying and trying to pass the grade, so please guys. So hold it with the questions and let's take this whole deal when it's all over, got it?" said Linka.
They all decide to ease up on the questions and stop. "Thank you, now come on guys. We gotta test to ace" said Jordan. They all have their books and they all get back to reading what is necessary, because they do not wanna fail this test and make their parents upset at how bad their grades are.
(Royal Woods High School.)
The High School has a lot of teens talking to each other about the test today, though some seem more interested with what happened the other day. The Dazzles are already there and they don't know much about what happened. They wanted to stay out of the whole monster hunting from the others.
Luna, Loni, Leni and Sunset arrive to the school and they see the rest of their friends and then Sam comes along. "Yeah, they all know about the whole monster thing."
Luna sighs. "Oh boy, I saw this one coming. Well, we all saw this one coming." They all go over to their friends.
"Girl! We heard about what happened and we all freaked out!" said Mandee.
"When the Mayor said we had to hide our body heat when the sirens would sound, that one got me chills" said Jackie.
"We had no clue what was even going on, but then the FutureTech guy announced something about some monsters that can dig, run and fly" said Chaz.
"I heard from the folks around town that a legendary survivalist man came to town, I think his name was Burt Gummer" said Joey. "Was he really here in Royal Woods?"
"Mind telling us what the heck was that all about?" asked Ruby.
Leni sighs. "Giant worm monsters that can split into large turkey looking screaming lizards who can also evolve into giant flying monsters were attacking our town, but they're gone now so we're all safe."
The group of teens remain silent from hearing what she just said. "What?"
Lynn then walks by then and with her is her soccer team and friends. "Yeah, we heard about it too and Lisa said she wants to know if there's a corpse lying around for her to check out."
Luan also walks by. "Of course we had to tell her not to go and check it out, because surely we don't want something corpse-y going on around our house! Hahaha! Get it?" She then walks into the school.
Luna looks to the others. "Guys, we wanna tell you more or tell the whole story of what happened, but can it wait? We gotta big test today and we should all be focusing on passing the whole thing."
"She's got a point" replied Loni. "We can all talk about the Graboids and other monsters when school is done."
They know he's right, and so they stop asking more questions and all walk back into the school. They got a test to pass and sure to heck they do not wanna fail this.
Luna then recalls something. 'Neil and Gwen said something about Michelle owning half a billion dollars of cash, and a mansion. What the heck is Michelle gonna do with that stuff?'
Luna then recalls what she and Lincoln plan to do when the summer hits. 'No, she couldn't be planning what I think she's planning. Could she? Because there is no way you can bring a mansion to Royal Woods. That's a crazy idea and plan.'
(Sharp Residence.)
Ember walks up the stairs, she makes her way down the hall and she sees the door that leads to Peter Sharp's study/office and she knocks on the door. "Peter, can we talk?"
"Sure, come on in."
Ember opens the door and walks in. "Peter, we should talk about the date to our….. What the hell?"
Peter sees her and smiles. "Hey babe, what do you think?"
Right there in the office of Peter Sharp, are two large and very ugly taxidermy models. A Shrieker from the battle on the Eastern outskirts of Royal Woods and the Ass Blaster that they shot down when they found out about the monsters.
And of course, on the wall is the Taxidermy Graboid head from long ago, the same one Peter Sharp killed alongside the monster hunting legend, Burt Gummer and on the walls are the pictures of the duo back when they were hunting these big monsters of old.
"Umm, what the heck are you doing with those and I thought all the corpses from the monsters were all taken care of?" asked Ember.
"Well, there were a ton of corpses and all of them were sent for research on the life style and the anatomy of the Shrieker and Ass Blaster" replied Peter. "I think FutureTech is doing some nerd research on the origins of these things and when they first appeared, my guesses they always came from Perfection Nevada, no shadow of a doubt."
"Most of them bodies are sent to the Zerg swarm, I don't know much, but from what Spellman said. He said that the Evolution master, Abathur wants to dissect and see how those monsters tick and how he can somehow add their essence or something to the swarm, no clue how they can benefit from them."
Ember is shocked to hear this. "And these two?" she points to the taxidermy Shrieker and Ass blaster.
"Oh right, well I took the time to do this myself and now I got me two new trophies that show I still got the wild sense of hunting these big bad Mother Hubbard's and sending them back to the role of extinction" replied Peter.
"Also, Burt Gummer called and asked me if he can borrow a World War 2 Allied Halftrack and so I called one up and it's headed to wherever he is, chances he needs the thing to kill some Shriekers and also show his son how the weapon works. I haven't even seen his boy, nor have I even heard of him."
Ember had no clue what else to say about this. But then she recalls why she's there. "Okay, well I came here to talk to you about our wedding."
"What about it?" Peter then puts the crates away and cleans up the floor.
"Well, do you recall when we're gonna have it?" asked Ember.
"The date is on February 6 and the time is somewhere early in the morning" replied Peter.
"Okay, and do you recall where we're gonna have it?" asked Ember.
"Amity Park, the same world where you came from and somewhere in the Ghost Zone" replied Peter. "And we're gonna be fortifying the whole event, in case a certain robotic ghost tries to intervene and ruin the whole thing."
"Good, and you have a plan for a bachelor party with the guys?" asked Ember.
"Yes I do and my best man is none other than Neil Spellman, since he is one of my closest friends and it also means he will be in charge of my bachelor party" replied Peter.
Ember goes over and kisses him. "Looks like someone kept track."
Peter chuckles and kisses her back. "Babe, I would never forget it. The many things I find important to this world would be helping save the good folks, and family. But I know that family is far more important and I would never wanna turn it all down."
They are gonna have one heck of a wedding, and Neil better be prepared for his role.
(FutureTech HQ.)
Over by the FutureTech base, Martin is going through some new research and he checks on the DNA strands. "Interesting, so the Graboids and all other evolutions did exist from the Precambrian era. Way before the Dinosaurs even walked on the planet."
He then walks by two very powerful glass cases and inside each one is an Ass blaster and a Shrieker and both beasts look to him and roar in anger.
Martin then looks to the monsters. "So, they're not classified as monsters and mostly classified as an extinct animal species that has returned from a long period of hibernation, interesting indeed."
"Chances the Endangered Wildlife act makes them endangered, only those few alive can be dubbed as a species that is meant to survive, they aren't monsters. They're animals and yet they have the tendency to think of killing and eating and then evolving and then resuming the cycle once again."
Martin goes through the reports again. "There has to be another way for these creatures to live and not be disturbed by…." Martin then goes through the islands they found that are untouched by human activity. "Bingo, I think I found a way for these guys to live and still be kept an eye on."
He then makes the call for the deployment on a new project, but he is unaware that Clover Elbi, Victor and Jack Cyber are there and looking at him and shocked at what they see and what they heard from McKenzie.
"What in the hell is wrong with you?" said Victor.
Then Jack Cyber asks. "How the hell did you get a live Shrieker and Ass Blaster to get here?"
Clover is confused. "Is this a thing he does? Like when he got the Grimm Alpha Megoliath?"
