Snotlout couldn't think straight, saying he was confused and shocked was a huge understatement. Hiccup was alive and he was a fricking Emperor for a Dragon Riding Creed. If that wasn't enough to make his already dizzy brain more confused he found out his biggest crush since he could talk, Astrid who had died with Hiccup was also alive. It shocked him even more of how advanced the village looked he recognized a few of the inventions as a larger replica of the ones Hiccup had shown them on Berk. Obviously, Snotlout and his friends had destroyed the inventions and then continued to beat Hiccup to a pulp for making them. But that was just the tip of the iceberg even the scale of the castle or buildings hadn't shocked him as much as learning that Hiccup had a daughter. He did the only thing logical… of course, it was logical only in his mind; "YOU'RE WHAAT!" he screamed in a feminine voice that Hiccup wouldn't have even recognized who had shouted that if it wasn't for Snotlout's mouth open and his eyes and fingers darting between the Emperor and his daughter.

"Wait, hold up a fricking second you have a daughter! When did that happen and who is the mother, wait are you even married you do realise a daughter outside marriage has to be killed right?" Stoick asked, trying to ask all the questions he could think of. "If you even think I am going to let you touch my daughter, you are mistaken." Hiccup told the Berkians while picking up his daughter into his arms. Toothless was now snarling at the Viking Chief who had suggested killing his human master's daughter. "And secondly, this is our daughter and me and Hiccup are married, and like he said touch her and I'll send you all to Valhalla myself." Astrid said while gesturing between Hiccup and herself.

"OK, I think I'm going to faint I don't understand anything, how is Useless an Emperor and has a daughter and with Astrid? They are married, when did that happen? Why would you even run away to marry this loser here?" Snotlout asked Astrid while clearly hyperventilating. Most of the Berkians all looked like they had the same questions as Snotlout. Astrid's face was as red as a Monstrous Nightmare. She was fuming and most of the people around her walked a few steps away from Astrid trying not to get in the crossfire of the short-tempered Valkyrie. Snotlout, clueless as always, stood a few feet in front of Valkyrie with his mouth agape. Astrid quickly pulled back her arm and punched the shocked Viking square in the open mouth. The sickening sound of the crack was only followed by the scream of said Viking. "What did you do that for?!" Snotlout asked Astrid who was looking down at him with hatred in her eyes while Snotlout cradled his now swollen jaw with a few of his teeth now at an ugly angle.

"All right now let us get something really clear no one, I repeat NO ONE can call him that… Ever. And he isn't a loser he is much smarter and stronger than any of you here and I love him. Also, yes we have a daughter whom we both love very much and we got married a little over five years ago." She stated with her arms crossed over her chest. Hiccup chuckled while motioning to his four-year-old to go back to her table to eat. As he got back up he placed his hand on his furious wife's shoulder as a gesture to calm her down.

"Why don't we sit down I am pretty sure all of you are hungry, we can have something to eat while we tell you everything we have down in the past eight years. And then you can ask all the questions you have. Heather, could you please lead the other chieftains to their guest rooms?" Hiccup told. Heather nodded while walking out of the Hall. As the Berkians slowly got seated they saw that the Dining Hall was at least three times the size of the Great Hall back in Berk. It was now completely empty except for the Berkians, Hiccup, Astrid and their daughter.

"So… Let's start from the beginning, shall we? My life on Berk wasn't the best, I was the runt the outcast in my own tribe, I was bullied, and abused and not many people cared about me except for Gobber and Gothi. Snotlout and his bunch of idiotic lackeys beat me to a pulp or humiliated me in any way they thought would be funny." Hiccup said while staring daggers at Snotlout, still holding his jaw. "I would come home and my father wouldn't care that I was bleeding or hurt, to come to think of it he wouldn't even care if it was my birthday he only talked to me when he would shout at me in front of the entire village." Stoick looked down in guilt when he heard this. "Well even after all this I didn't care or mind that you all thought of me as a runt but then it all changed when I shot down the Night Fury at the raid before we disappeared." Most of the Berkians looked shocked, they all hadn't believed their heir had shot down a Night Fury when he had told them right after the raid eight years ago, but it was actually true. "Well, that morning I went to find the Night Fury so I could kill it and be accepted into the tribe. When I found it, it was all tied up in the bola nets and was struggling to escape. I was about to kill it when I looked into its eyes… I saw fear the same fear in mine. I don't know why I did it, but I let it go and the next second I was pinned down against a rock, staring right into its eyes." Hiccup said while lightly chuckling. "I eventually found it again stuck in a cove as it had lost its tailfin. I bonded with it and helped make a prosthetic so it could fly again… only catch was that I had to fly with him. So naturally I learnt to ride him, which helped me learn many tricks I could use on dragons." Hiccup took a sip of water before continuing, "I used those tricks to win in dragon training and found out all dragons are kind and intelligent creatures." Hiccup concluded.

Astrid then continued, "I got jealous that he was winning in dragon training and so I followed him to find out how he got so good at dragon training…" Astrid continued while chuckling "Out of all the possibilities I thought the conversation would go I would have never expected to find out that Hiccup had learnt how to train dragons. I didn't know what to think or say I just stood there looking between Hiccup and Toothless like an idiot. I just turned around and ran as fast as possible to the village to tell Stoick everything, but before that could happen Hiccup and his pet dragon kidnapped me." Astrid said while staring daggers at her life partner. "He took me for a ride in the clouds showing me the true nature of dragons, and that was the time I fell in love with him… we found the true reason behind the raids; a dragon the size of Berk whom we named the Red Death forced the dragons to raid and bring it food or it would eat the dragons themselves."

"When we reached back, I told Astrid that I was going to run away with Toothless as I was tired of all the abuse and I knew I couldn't kill a dragon after seeing the truth. Astrid then proceeded to beg me to take her with us. I tried to stop her but in the end, I agreed and we left Berk that night." Hiccup said. "We fought the Red Death together and were able to defeat it, unfortunately, I lost my leg in the battle." "He is just being humble I didn't do anything I wasn't that good at flying dragons then and he was the one who fought it all on his own. While I was afraid of the massive dragon Hiccup fearlessly fought it till its demise." Astrid said earning a few gasps from the listeners. "Once he defeated the Queen he had lost his leg so I flew him as fast as I could to Bog Burglars. They let me explain what happened and surprisingly Bertha allowed us to stay, once Hiccup recovered he helped integrate the dragons into the daily life of Bogs. Soon after that, we had small skirmishes with the Outcasts and Berserkers but in the end, they joined our side and have been one of our closest allies since." Astrid said while Dagur and Alvin nodded showing their support. "In the following years, we discovered new lands like the Dragon's Edge, new allies such as the Defenders of the Wing, Wingmaidens, Night Owls and after a small war with Viggo we helped changed his mind and his tribe of dragon hunters became an important addition to our navy." Hiccup stated. "Over the next few years, we got betrothed and then married, we lost Bertha in the war with Drago but in the end Hiccup killed him, we then started dismantling Drago's army rescuing dragons and slaves, helping them start a new life in Dragon's Edge. We had our daughter Zephyr Bertha Haddock, we named her after Bertha as she saved my life while sacrificing her own." Astrid said looking at the table on the verge of tears. Hiccup held her hand to comfort her while Stormfly feeling her rider's distress cooed softly at her.

"So this is what we did in the past eight years." Hiccup said finally looking at his father to see his reaction. Stoick was staring at the stone table so intently that he could see the minute cracks on the surface. He felt guilty about the way he treated his son while also feeling betrayed by what he had done. Astird's parents on the other hand were shocked they knew their daughter always loved the auburn-haired boy and his kind and caring nature would be the only thing that would break the shell Astrid had created after her uncle's death. They were happy Astrid had found her true happiness and were delighted to have their family as a whole once again. Her sister jumped from her seat and ran to her sister hugging her so hard that Astrid could hardly breathe. " I'm so happy you are alive and well sis I missed you so much… " the young Hofferson said letting her tears fall onto Astrid's shoulders. Astrid comforted her little sister while telling her how much she had missed her too.

But all good things have to come to an end, that was Snotlout's purpose in Midgard. " NO! That is a lie there is no way in Helhiem that Astrid fell in love with this fucking fishbone… he must have kidnapped her against his wish and is forcing her to be with him and bear his children." Snotlout said before taking a deep breath and continuing, "She could never settle with him she was always supposed to be mine, and Useless is a chief, oh please then this tribe is surely weak and fucked, they need someone like me to lead them a true Viking." Snotlout voiced his opinion proudly. The guards had their weapons withdrawn and were filled with rage. "Sir, please can we kill this cocky son of a bitch and teach him a lesson for not treating you with respect." One guard seethed out while glaring at the shocked Snotlout. "That won't be necessary, Throk." Hiccup said while chuckling to himself at his guard's loyalty. "Look believe it or not I am the Chief of the Draconian Empire, I am married to Astrid with her choice and consent and I am not the weak, useless fishbone you lot used to know." Hiccup said in a cold monotonous tone that sent a shiver down every Viking's spine. "I will give you shelter, food and protection if you follow my rules, but if any of you disrespect me or especially my wife and child I will kill you in the most painful way possible. And if you hurt the villagers or dragons I will send you back into the sea to survive on your own in the vast oceans. AM. I. CLEAR." Hiccup asked the Berkians while slowly standing up and staring holes into everyone seated at their table.

Stoick nodded he looked at his son… he knew he had changed he had become a leader, father, and husband and was responsible for the death of the most dangerous man in the Archipelago of almost two decades. He was strict when needed to be and kind and fair otherwise this clearly made him a good chief. This is probably the reason why his people are so loyal to him and his nation has prospered. He knew they still had a long way in fixing their relationship if that was even Hiccup's plan but one thing he knew was that he was proud, proud of his son.
