Takumi looked at the lights balancing off the pillars. "Okay, Sonic rotate yours to the right."

"Got it." Sonic twisted the pillars. They reflected light off of each other guiding it to the statue. The trail it made glowed brighter. "Did that do anything?"

The ground started to shake startling everyone. They looked around and Rosemon noticed something. "Look! On top of the waterfall!" A statue with wings rose up splitting the falls down the middle and revealing a path.

Takumi smiled. "I think that did something."

"Nice work guys!" Nokia said. "…So, what did that do?"

"I'm…not entirely sure."

"It revealed the path." Everyone looked to the left to see Mirei approach.

"Mirei!" Takumi gasped.

"So that's who you were talking about?" Amy whispered to Nokia.

"Yeah, she's been helping Takumi since he started working with Digimon. I met her myself before. How's it going Mirei?"

"Nokia Shiramine. You seem in high spirits despite your predicament." Mirei replied. "In any case, the Titan you were instructed to hunt down just over this waterfall."

"She's right!" Amy smiled. "I'm sensing the Titan up ahead. This is it! The big showdown!"

"It'll be a short match if I don't find the last Chaos Emerald though." Sonic replied.

"And we searched everywhere on this island." Rosemon sighed. "So where is it?"

Takumi was pondering quietly. "Care to share your thoughts, detective?" Mirei asked.

Takumi turned to Sonic. "Back at that tall tower, before you caught up to us, we saw that masked guy and that ghost girl."

"And what did they have to say this time?"

"They were confident we wouldn't be able to stop the Titan. When Rosemon brought up the Chaos Emeralds, the girls said, and I quote: "What you seek is in its presence"."

"In its presence? Wait…as in…?"

Rosemon thought a moment. "Sonic? What color is that last emerald?"

"Purple. Why?"

Rosemon seethed. "Oh boy."

"What is it?" Takumi asked.

"I thought it might have been my imagination, but… back when Sonic and I were trying to bash at the Titan earlier… I think I saw a flash of purple coming from the top of its head."

Takumi brought a hand over his face. "Oh, great."

"Wait, I'm still confused." Nokia said.

"They're saying the Titan HAS that last Chaos Emerald Nokia!" Amy replied.

"Oh! …That's not good."

"No. It's not." Rosemon sighed. "So, what now?"

"Eh, not anything else we can do but head for the Titan." Sonic said.

"Are you forgetting how it rag dolled us last time?"

"Well, do we have any other choice? The only way we're getting that Emerald is taking it head on."

"I hate to say it, but it looks like there's no other way." Takumi thought for a moment. "Sonic how confident are you that you can take that Titan down as this "Super Sonic"?"

"On a scale of 1 to 10? Eh, given what I took on before as Super Sonic, 9."

"Okay, Rosemon, now that you're in Mega form do you think you can hold it at bay by yourself?"

"Um…"

"I'm not asking if you can defeat it, or even hurt it. I'm asking if you can get its attention and last long enough for Sonic to get that Emerald."

"Oh! Well, I'm sure I can manage that for a few minutes."

"Okay, here's the plan. Once we find that Titan Rosemon and I will distract it. Sonic you'll take that time to find a way up that thing and grab the last Emerald."

"And just how do you and Rosemon plan to "distract" it?" Sonic asked. "With a surprise duet?"

"Ha, ha." Takumi closed his eyes as the girls grinned at him.

"Would it not be better to have Rosemon get it considering she can fly?" Mirei asked. "And how's Sonic supposed to reach it?"

"I've seen him run up walls. Besides the fact that Rosemon can fly makes her more ideal to get that Titan's attention."

Mirei giggled. "Look at you. After all that time in Kyoko's shadow, you've become a proper detective."

"Hey, even from the beginning Takumi was always a good strategist." Rosemon replied.

"Well, this strategy is a bit dangerous for my liking, but I see not other option at this point." Takumi said. "That just leaves one other mater. That Royal Knight. We still don't know where it is."

"Indeed." Mirei replied. "I've been searching myself, and it's doing a good job obscuring itself. That being said I did some research of the Chaos Emeralds and Super Sonic. I believe I know how to lure it out into the open."

"Let's hear it then." Sonic replied.

"Bagramon was always addicted to power. And these Emeralds are the strongest source of it you can find in this world. If you use all seven of them, the target will sense their power and come right to you."

"Awesome. We can take it and the Titan out in one go."

"Sonic, you do realize you'll be fighting two dangerous foes at the same time, right?" Takumi asked.

"We'll then, I better stock up on rings!" Sonic ran in circles with his Cyloop spawning rings everywhere.

"Rings?" Nokia asked. "How will that help?"

"As Super Sonic, Sonic can't be damage." Amy said.

"Wait, he's invincible? Wow, that…kinda feels like cheating."

"But there's a catch: how long he can stay in his Super Form depends on how many rings he has. He'll burn through them with every passing second. And when he runs out the transformation disappears."

"If that happens, it's game over." Takumi said. "Hey Mirei, can you tell us anything about the knight we're about to face?"

"Certainty." Mirei started typing in her laptop. She showed them an image.

"Hey…" Amy gasped. "Isn't that…"

"O-Omnimon?!" Nokia gapped. "What happened to him!? Why's his armor black?! Is this some kind of phase?!"

"Calm down Nokia." Rosemon said. "Remember this is from an older generation of knights, this can't be the Omnimon we know. Besides, I was talking to him the other day before coming here."

"Is that…Omnimon Zwart?" Takumi asked. "Mr. Navit used him during the finals of the Legends Cup."

"Undoubtably a replica made from old data." Mirei said. "This Omnimon was infused with Bagramon's dark data, and has become more powerful and destructive. It now has lost any sense of passion or reason and sees everything as its enemy."

"Gotchya, this is Shadow the Omnimon then." Sonic joked still running in circles.

Amy sighed. "I hope this guy isn't that grumpy…"

"I feel like I'm missing context here." Takumi said.

"Nevermind that." Mirei replied closing her laptop. "You may have fought a copy of him in the past, but do not expect an easy fight." She looked at Rosemon. "Granted collecting those Digi-Orbs in Cyber Space not only brought your Digimon back to Mega Level, but also made it stronger then when it was in that form last."

"Is that what those blue spheres we've been picking up are?"

Mirei nodded. "Interesting how they've been appearing in this world. Perhaps it has something to do with you linking to it?"

"Or maybe it has something to do with that masked man being here. I think he also came from our world."

"Wait, really?" Nokia asked. "Wow Mirei, see who else your dumb machine dragged into this mess?!"

"No, this guy seems like he's been here for a while now, Nokia." Takumi replied. "And it was just us and our friends in the room when the Digital Engine made that portal. He must have come in some other way."

"Indeed." Mirei replied. "That one had nothing to do with me. The only ones that were brought here via the machine I had Kamishiro create are you two, Arata Sanada, and Yuuko Kamishiro."

"Well, we heard you can see the future." Amy said. "Don't you know who it is?"

Mire grinned. "Maybe I do, maybe I don't. Who's to say?"

"So, you won't tell us. Alright how about this: If Sonic and Takumi beat the Titan will Nokia and I return to normal?"

"You'll find out once they do…if they do."

Sonic squinted. "Destiny not allowed to tell us that either?"

"You cannot fight fate, hedgehog."

"Yeah, if you want to think that you go right ahead. I'm more comfortable making my own fate thank you very much. What about you Takumi?"

"Huh?"

Sonic stopped running in front of him as he maxed out on rings. "From what I've seen from your memories and working with you, you're not one to follow "destiny's" script. You'd rather do things your own way I bet. You can choose your own future you know."

"Sonic's right!" Amy smiled. "You can make your own destiny if you want! We've seen it happen!"

Takumi looked at his hand. "My own destiny, huh?"

Mirei shook her head. "Well before you think about fighting fate, I believe you have a Titan and a fallen Royal Knight to fight. I'll leave you to handle this as you see fit." She then walked away.

"She's a strange one." Amy said. "Well, at least you know what to do know. And Takumi, you beat this Omnimon Zwart before, right?"

"Well, yeah, but I had all three of my Digimon at the time. It won't be easy with Rosemon fighting alone."

Rosemon folded her arms. "If only I could use the power we obtained during our final battle against Suedou."

"You mean what happened when we had our backs against the wall?" Nokia asked. "Yeah, you guys could keep up with Alphamon with that! It was amazing!"

"Unfortunately, we don't know how to activate it." Takumi sighed. "We'll have to make do with what we have. Like Mirei said, you are stronger than you ever were before in your current Level. All we can do is hope it and Super Sonic will be enough and head for that Titan."

"Alright, let's roll." Sonic dashed towards the waterfall with the crew following him. He slowed downs as they aproached it from the side. "What a view! Makes me think of the falls in Mystic Ruins." He spotted a spring and flew up.

Takumi watched him jump across rocks as he went upward. "That's…a long way up."

"Well, then, only one thing to do." Rosemon smirked before coiling one of her whips around Takumi's ankle and yanking it.

"AHH!" Takumi was caught off guard as he fell and found himself being carried in Rosemon's arms again. "Cut it out!"

Amy and Nokia laughed. "Nice catch Rosemon." Amy laughed.

"Be carful on the way up!" Nokia teased. "It would be really tragic if you dropped poor Princess Takumi on the way to Sunshine Castle!" Amy almost fell over laughing so hard.

Takumi glared at his friend with his face as red as their hair. "Don't EVER call me that again." Nokia held her hands up defensively in response to the aggravated look and tone.

"Shall we get going?" Rosemon flew after Sonic.

"Be careful up there, you guys!" Amy waved.

"And kick their butts!" Nokia added. "Show them who they've been messing with!"

Sonic flew over the statue and flipped backwards into the air before landing on solid ground. Rosemon soon landed next to him, and he saw her carrying Takumi. "Enjoy the ride Takumi?"

"Very funny." They heard a roar up ahead and looked at a crevice. "That must have been the Titan."

"Showtime." Sonic jumped and boosted across the water.

Rosemon flew over to him carrying Takumi. "You can put me down now, I can follow him through the Cyloop." Takumi said folding his arms.

"Why? Don't you like rides? I don't hear you complain when ridding on MegaGargomon."

"MegaGargomon doesn't carry me in a way that completely destroys my dignity."

"Oh, so it's fine if you carry your poor sister like this, but when SHE's the one carrying YOU the same way, it's a problem?"

"I was trying to save you! You were chained up and that Boltmon was about to cut you in half!"

Rosemon grinned. "And I saved you. You tripped and were about to hit your head on the ground, so I caught you."

"That is so not what happened, and you know it!"

"Sure, it is."

"Is not!"

"It totally is!" Sonic grinned before running into the crevice.

"You stay out of this!" Takumi yelled. Rosemon laughed flying after the hedgehog.

Sonic grinned as he made his way through. He stopped in front of a cliff and soon saw the Titan. Giganto. It opened multiple mouths showing it's many teeth. "Time for a little payback."

Rosemon put Takumi down. He put on his goggles and zoomed in. He could see on top of the Titan what looked like the vaults from before with a purple Chaos Emerald. "I knew it. The last Emerald in on that thing's head. You two ready?" Takumi asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Rosemon replied. She looked at Sonic. "I'll get his attention, you grab that Emerald."

"Let's do this." Sonic jumped off the edge and into the area below. He chuckled in excitement to himself before landing.

"Here we go Rosemon!" Takumi said.

"Right!" Rosemon flew towards the Titan. "Thorn Whipping!" She flung her whip into the Titan's face. It bounced off it as it threw a punch. Rosemon grunted as she evaded. "No good. My attacks still aren't working."

"Just try to hold out!" Takumi said.

Sonic ran up to the Titan and jumped to the side as its foot stomped down. He jumped onto its leg and started running up it. Once he was up the thigh he jumped and grabbed onto its forearm and started running up it. Giganto swung its other arm at Rosemon who moved aside. "Forbidden Temptation!" She fired a blast of red blinding it before flying behind it. It looked around for her she held her arms up. "Ivy Hug!" Ivy rose from the ground coiling around Giganto's feet. But as it spun around it effortlessly ripped free and slapped Rosemon into the rocky wall. "AHHH!"

"Rosemon!" Takumi shouted as his Digimon was pressed into the stone.

Nokia and Amy ran up to Takumi. "Finally caught up with you!" Nokia said. "How's it going?"

"Not as good as I hoped." Takumi cringed. He saw the Titan reel back a fist. "Rosemon, move!"

Rosmoen yelped and pulled herself out of the imprint of herself she made colliding with the wall and flew straight up just before Giganto buried its first into where she once was. "How is something that big moving so fast!?" Nokia gapped.

From the other side of the cliff, the floating girl and the masked man watched. "As I predicted." the girl said. "Even at Mega Level Takumi's Digimon is no match for the Titan."

"Takumi wouldn't have come here without a plan though." the masked man said. "What's your play Cyber Sleuth?"

Sonic leapt onto the Titan's back. Some circles releasing red waves activated but he saw his purple goal just up ahead. "Almost there." He jumped across the obstacles and towards the shrine.

Rosemon flew up around another swipe then the head of the Titan lunged at her with its many teeth ready to bite. She flew away from it as its jaws came down. "Rosemon, watch out!" Takumi yelled.

Rosemon gasped when she realized she was flying backwards right to where Giganto's giant hands were coming together. She tried to fly up and out of the way but was sandwiched between two giant palms with just her head sticking out. "Gah! It's…got me!" She grunted and tried to break free, but her head was the only thing that could move. "Let…go!" She growled gritting her teeth. But no mater how hard she struggled her arms remained at her sides and her legs were firmly pinned together. The Titan brought her closer to its face and started tightening it's grip. "Ah!" Rosemon felt the pressure around her grow stronger and stronger. Her body was faced with an unbearable amount of force as she was squeezed. "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

"ROSEMON!" Takumi, Nokia and Amy yelled over the Digimon's scream. Takumi jumped down from the cliff and started running towards the Titan.

"Takumi, what are you doing?!" Nokia yelled.

Amy looked up at the Titan's head. "Sonic, please hurry!"

Sonic walked up the shrine holding the last Emerald. He held his hand towards it, and it flew into him. "It's good to be back." he grinned. All seven Chaos Emeralds came out of him and started spinning around him as he ascended into the air. The emeralds flew into him, and he burst with light.

Everyone looked up. Even Giganto as it stopped squeezing Rosemon. "What?" Takumi stopped in his tracks.

"What's that?" Nokia asked shielding her eyes from the light.

The mysterious girl stared into the light. "This is…the energy of the seven Chaos Emeralds…"

The masked man looked as well. "No way…So does that mean…?"

Amy smiled. "He did it."

Sonic flew up then descended in front of the Titan folding his arms. Takumi looked up at him. His body was now golden. His eyes now red. The detective watched in awe. "So, this is…Super Sonic?"

The Titan stared at Super Sonic who grinned. "Now I'll show you." In a flash he vanished then charged into Giganto's head making it stumble back and drop Rosemon who fell towards the ground.

"Rosemon!" Takumi ran under his Digimon and held his arms out, catching her. "Are you okay?"

Rosemon panted. "Ah…ha…Yeah…I think so…" She tilted her head to look at him and grinned. "Though as much as you complain about me holding you like this you seem fine with doing it to me."

Takumi grinned back. "Hey, this time I was legitimately WAS saving you my dear little sister."

"Ha, ha…fair enough big bro."

Super Sonic looked down towards them. "You two did a great job. Let me handle the rest." The Titan swung at him, and he dodged before rushing into its torso throwing punches and kicks.

"It's working!" Nokia grinned. "He's actually hurting that thing!"

"Go get em Sonic!" Amy cheered.

The Titan swung its arms wildly, but Super Sonic simply dodged. "What in the world?!" the masked man gapped. "I can't even keep up with that speed!"

"This exceeds my calculations." the ghostly girl said.

"Look at him go!" Takumi smiled.

"That power is amazing." Rosemon said.

"Yeah. No wounder he was so confident. Though now he even looks likes something from that one anime back home…"

Super Sonic deflected a punch with the swing of his hand and was about to move in when he heard a loud screech. "Huh?"

"What was that?" Amy asked.

Super Sonic turned to the side as he noticed something rushing towards him. He moved aside to evade a punch and looked at his attacker with a black cape. It slowly turned around. It had black armor with yellow spots. It's left hand resembled WarGreymon's head. It's right resembled MetalGarurumon's. "Oh, right. You must be the fallen Royal Knight."

"Omnimon Zwart…" Takumi murmured.

The girl and her companion looked at it. "What is that?" the man asked. "It looks a lot like Omnimon!"

"Indeed. It must be another Digimon then." the girl said. "It seems to view Sonic as its enemy. We can use this to our advantage." She held up her hand.

Giganto roared and swung at Super Sonic again who moved out of the way. He charged again ready to throw a punch, but Omnimon Zwart flew in front of him blocking it. He pushed Super Sonic back and held his MetalGarurumon arm towards him and a cannon came out. "Supreme Cannon!" He fired a powerful blast that pushed Super Sonic away.

Takumi gasped as he saw it. "What power! He really is stronger than what we fought at the Masters Cup!"

The knight swung his other arm and a sword extended from the mouth of the WarGreymon head. "Transcendent Sword!" He charged at Super Sonic who evaded the swing, but the slash made a trail of fire that flew into the distance setting the grass it landed on ablaze. Super Sonic countered with a kick to push Zwart back. The black Omnimon charged back at him and kneed Super Sonic who blocked it but was still pushed back.

"No way!" Amy covered her mouth. "He's going toe to toe against Super Sonic?!"

Super Sonic dodged another few sword swings. Omnimon Zwart aimed his cannon at him, but Super Sonic kicked it upwards making it point up before shooting into the sky. He looped backwards and charged at it with a Loop Kick. But when he pursued Giganto blind sighted him and punched him to send him flying. "This is bad…" Takumi gritted his teeth. "Sonic can't take on both of them on his own!" Rosemon groaned as she pushed herself out of Takumi's arms and landed on the ground. "Rosemon, don't move, you're hurt!"

With effort she pushed herself up. "You said it yourself, Sonic needs help…I'm going in."

"But- Takumi heard a bang and looked back up at the fight. Omnimon uppercutted Super Sonic into the air. Giganto them smacked him to the ground nearby. "Sonic!" Takumi ran over to him. Rosemon hobbled behind.

Super Sonic grunted as he pushed himself up. "Okay…this is proving to be tougher than I thought it would be…"

"Guys, above you!" Amy screamed. Super Sonic, Rosemon, and Takumi looked up to see Giganto raise its foot over them.

"Get down!" Super Sonic pulled Takumi and his Digimon onto the ground and raised his hands, catching the foot that proceeded to try squashing them.

"Takumi! Sonic!" Nokia screamed.

Super Sonic grunted as he tried to push the Titan's foot off. Takumi was lying on the ground and looked at him. "Sonic!"

"Not like this…! I won't let it end here…!"

Takumi watched in amazement. "Sonic…he just doesn't give up."

"Yeah. Not unlike someone else I know." Rosemon grinned.

"Huh?"

"TAKUMI, DON'T GIVE UP!" Nokia screamed. "You can still win this!"

"She's right!" Amy added. "Use everything you've got! Make your own destiny!"

Takumi's eyes widened.

"From what I've seen from your memories and working with you, you're not one to follow "destiny's" script. You'd rather do things your own way I bet. You can choose your own future you know."

"You will now be the master of your own future!"

Takumi clenched his fist against the ground. "That's right…You're right Sonic. She's right. I can decide my own future. Make my own destiny." He looked up with a new fire in his eyes. "And I'll find the truth that only I can!"

Super Sonic grinned at him. "That's the spirit." The Seven Chaos Emeralds appeared around them. "Oh, come on, don't tell me I'm already out of rings!"

Rosemon gasped. "I feel something…a power rising in me…It's almost like…"

Takumi's glove glowed yellow. Light shined from his goggles alternating through the colors of the Chaos Emeralds. An unseen force pushed Giganto's foot off them and it stumbled back as a light flew straight up. Amy and Nokia gasped. "Now what?!" Amy asked.

Nokia saw an orange fire next to Super Sonic. "That light…I saw it back then when Takumi…"

Omnimon Zwart shielded himself from the orange shine. The ghostly girl stared at it. "We saw this in the detective's memories…"

The masked man stared as well. "This is…"

As the orange light died down it revealed the body of Rosemon. Now her red skin-tight suit was white, and her green cape was pink. Her whip was black. She held her arms up and spun around before summoning eight pink orbs to her side. "Rosemon Burst Mode!"

Nokia smiled in glee. "There it is! That's the form Rosemon took during our final battle!"

Rosemon was also now as big as Omnimon Zwart allowing Takumi to ride on her shoulder. He and Super Sonic folded their arms as they looked at their opponents. "Ready for round two?" Sonic asked.

Takumi smiled. "Always. You up for a rematch Rosemon?"

"I won't give up 'till the end of me."

Super Sonic lopped backwards into the air and charged as Giganto reeled its fist back. Both of their fists ignited as they their punches at each other. "Go!" Takumi yelled. Rosemon Burst Mode and Omnimon Zwart charged into each other. Rosemon blocked the Grey Sword with her whips. The backed away before they rammed into each other repeatedly bouncing off each other. They then charged up and traded punches and kicks.

Super Sonic and Giganto's fists pressed against each other a bit longer before the super-charged hedgehog and the giant's fist were pushed away from each other. Super Sonic then flew up and made a combo with giant punches and kicks of light finished with an upward kick on Giganto's chin. Rosemon Burst Mode and Omnimon Zwart traded a few more hits before Rosemon Burst Mode batted one of the knight's arms aside. Takumi roared as he threw his fist upward and Rosemon replicated his movements exactly uppercutting Zwart into the air before flying after it. "What was that?!" Amy asked.

"His Digimon copied his movements at the same moment…" the masked man said in awe.

"And it allows him to command his Digimon without words." the girl one. "Almost as if…"

"It's like their minds became one." Amy said.

"If"?" Nokia grinned. "They have that super weird connection between family! Because that's what they are! And undefeatable family!" Rosemon Burst Mode rose above Omnimon Zwart and slashed with her whip. After getting knocked back Zwart fired a frigid blast from his canon. Rosemon held up her arms to block it, but her arms were frozen together. Seeing its chance Zwart drew his sword and charged while Super Sonic punched Giganto who stepped back. Super Sonic held his arms back together. As it swung, he parried the hit and flew at Giganto's head punching it at light speed then did a Wild Rush while Zwart charged at Rosemon Burst mode. She and Takumi leaned back making Zwart go over them before Rosemon kicked him sky high in the torso before finishing her backflip and ripping her arms free of their icy shackles. She flew up and as she and Takumi swung their arms the whips struck Omnimon Zwart repeatedly. The knight tried to block but his guard was blown away before he rocketed into the ground.

Super Sonic used a Quick Cyloop and a golden whirlwind blasted Giganto into the air. Super Sonic flew up and hit it with a Phantom Rush. On the ground Rosemon Burst Mode was dulling Omnimon Zwart whips for sword and pushing him back with each strike. She got a blow in that knocked him back then coiled a whip around his midsection and spun him around and threw him. Takumi snapped his fingers which Rosemon took for a command. "Kiss of Breath!" She blew a kiss that summoned hearts that blasted Omnimon Zwart just as Super Sonic drew another Quick Cyloop instantly slamming Giganto face first to the ground, on top of Omnimon Zwart. Super Sonic and Rosemon Burst Mode rose above Giganto before they came down with a Stomp Attack slamming their heels into the top of its head.

"Yeah!" Nokia threw her fist into the air. "Take em down!"

"Those guys are amazing!" Amy cheered.

The masked man watched. "So, this is the power…of a true hero."

As the Titan got back up it hissed before pillars rose from its back. Omnimon Zwart floated up clutching its head in pain before roaring and being consumed in black energy. "What's happening?" Takumi asked. Giganto's pillars crackled with electricity before shooting red lasers everywhere. The shadows around Zwart exploded as it screeched. Now its limbs were thinner. Its cape damaged with a hood over its head and the hands looked degraded and were bandaged. "It transformed…" It had become Omnimon Zwart Defeat.

Super Sonic descended next to Takumi and Rosemon. "Looks like they're kicking things up. Stay on your guard Takumi."

Giganto leaned its head forward and opened its mouths as Omnimon Zwart Defeat held its cannon forward. They each fired a red blast. Super Sonic, Takumi, and Rosemon held their hands forward as the beams clash against Burst Mode and Super Sonic's palms. They grunted as they threw their hands up sending the energy blasts over their heads to explode behind them. Defeat drew it s sword and roared as it swung at Rosemon Burst Mode wildly. Takumi watched as his Digimon dodged. "He's going berserk!" Rosemon caught the blade with her whips. After a brief struggle she pushed him off. Zwart Defeat then rammed its head into her while Giganto clapped Super Sonic then caught him between its teeth. Super Sonic pushed against them trying not to think about the many other sets of teeth gnawing behind the set he prayed open. Zwart Defeat fired its cannon wildly at Rosemon Burst Mode when Takumi saw Super Sonic in trouble. "Rosemon!"

"On it!" Rosemon flew into Zwart Defeat and grabbed its cannon arm as it continued to fire. She aimed it at Giganto and shot it in the side of the head. Super Sonic pushed free and backed up. Zwart Defeat slashed Rosemon with the sword and threw her off before charging at her. Just when the blade was an inch away from her face he was pulled back by the cape by Super Sonic. He curled into a ball spinning rapidly swinging Omnimon Zwart around before throwing him across the arena. Giganto tried to throw a punch with its right arm, but Rosemon Burst Mode knocked it aside with one whip. Then when it threw a punch with the other arm, she knocked it aside with the other whip then hit it in the face with both. As it stumbled back Super Sonic curled into a ball and rammed into its face before flying above and projecting copies of him. They all rained down kicking Giganto.

"This is what all seven Chaos Emeralds can do?" The masked man breathed.

Omnimon Zwart Defeat fired repeatedly at Rosemon Burst Mode as she flew towards it. When she was close it swung its sword, but she dodged it and flew past him before turning around and shooting her whips. One coiled around the sword, one coiled around the cannon. Takumi clenched his fists as if holding the whips in his own hands and pulled. Rosemon did the same tugging Omnimon Zwart towards her by its weapons then drop kicking it so hard when it went flying the whips snapped the blade and cannon right off. Takumi crossed his arms then held his hands close together in front of his chest. Rosemon Burst Mode did the same and the jewel on her chest glowed. The ones floating around her spun in circles in front of her. "Jewel of Heart!" she and Takumi shouted before holding their hands forward launching the glowing jewels into Omnimon Zwart Defeat. When they went into its body it erupted with pink light. The fallen knight howled before exploding in black energy that flew into Takumi. "Agh!" The Cyber Sleuth winced.

"Takumi, are you okay?!" Rosemon asked.

Takumi looked to the side at the sound of a roar to see Giganto's wobbling in front of Super Sonic. "I'm fine, let's go!" Rosemon Burst Mode flew around Giganto's feet latching her whips onto them before flying up behind its back. She and Takumi mirrored each other's movements and pulled the whips tugging Giganto's feet out from under it and making it fall to its knees. "Sonic, now!"

Super Sonic flipped backwards and smirked. He boosted forward and burst with light before ramming himself right through the Titan tearing a huge hole through its chest. As explosions set off all around it, Super Sonic turned around and floated next to Takumi. Super Sonic held his thumb up to Takumi and Rosemon Burst Mode as Giganto exploded in a massive red light. "Nice moves." Super Sonic grinned.

"Thanks." Takumi replied returning the gesture. "Right back at you."

The floating girl and the man watched in shock. "I can't believe what I just saw." the man murmured. "They actually defeated a Titan…And that other Omnimon at the same time no less."

"I will need to redo my calculations." the girl said.

"Before that we need to report this to the Doctor." She nodded and put a hand on his shoulder before they vanished.

Sonic and Takumi's celebration was cut off when something projected into their minds. It was an image of an Ancient. She spoke in a language they never heard before, but somehow, they knew what she was saying. "No! We'll find another way!"

Then they saw another image. One of an Omnimon. "You don't know what you're doing you fool! That monster cannot be trusted!"

The three looked around in shock. "I take it I wasn't the only one who saw that, right?" Super Sonic asked.

"Yeah, we saw." Takumi replied. "Wasn't any of my memories."

"Then what was that?" Rosemon Burst Mode asked.

"The first seal is broken." the voice in the sky said. "Thy next foe awaits on the sand-scared island."

"Right." Super Sonic replied. "You said "Titans" earlier. Plural." He shook his head and looked down.

As he and Rosemon Burst Mode descended towards the grass Amy and Nokia ran up to them. "That was amazing you two!" Nokia grinned.

"Looks like it didn't do anything to get you two back to normal though…" Takumi said gloomy.

Nokia and Amy look at themselves. "Oh yeah." Nokia murmured. "This sucks! I was hoping that would fix us!"

"Darn it…" Amy mumbled.

"I guess this isn't over until we bop all the big bots. Sorry, you two." Super Sonic said.

"There is no need for apologies." Mirei said as she aproached. "If anything, congratulations are in order. You have defeated one of the fallen Royal Knights."

Nokia sighed. "That poor Omnimon though…it looked like it was in so much pain."

"All the more reason to be happy for it now that its pain has finally ended." Mirei replied. "He can finally rest in peace."

Takumi jumped off Rosemon Burst Mode's shoulder and landed in front of her. "So how many more of these guys are there?"

"Two remain. But what happened to Omnimon Zwart…Using so much of its power during the fight caused it to mutate. Likely due to Bagramon's power inside it."

"Yeah, when he transformed, he attacked wildly like a feral beast." Rosemon Burst Mode replied.

"From what I could tell, Omnimon's Vaccine attribute clashed with Bagramon's Virus data, causing it to degrade. In this case, it proved to be a boon for you, but I would be prepared for more dangerous mutations from the remaining knights."

"Where do we find the next one?" Takumi asked.

Mirei opened her laptop. "As fortune would have it, it would seem there is one on the island your mysterious voice is guiding you to. I'll send coordinates to your Digivice."

Takumi put on his goggles. "Got it. Guess we better get going. Good thing we can fly now." He lifted his goggles up. "Gah!" He stumbled as black mist emitted from his body for a second.

"Takumi!" Nokia shouted. "What was that?!"

"You okay there dude?" Super Sonic asked.

Takumi straightened up. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Takumi, something happened after we destroyed the knight!" Rosemon Burst Mode said. "I saw something fly out of it and into you!"

"Don't worry about it, I'll be okay."

Nokia glared. "That's what you said before when your Half-Cyber body started to break down on you! Something is not okay with you, and you know it!"

"Look who's talking." Takumi replied sternly. "Your condition and Amy's is far more concerning right now, so let's focus on fixing that." Takumi then turned to Mirei. "Speaking of which, how are they going to get to the next island with us?"

"As they are now, it is impossible to move them from this island. They will have to wait here."

"What?" Nokia frowned. "Isn't there some way we can go with Takumi?" Mirei shook her head.

Takumi sighed. He though for a moment then looked at his Digimon. "Rosemon?"

"Yes Takumi?"

"Can you stay here and watch over Nokia and Amy? Sonic and I will go to the next island."

Nokia gasped. "Takumi?"

"Have you lost your wits detective?" Mirei asked. "How do you plan on fighting the next fallen knight and Titan without your Digimon?"

"I refuse to leave my friends completely alone like this. It would be easier to focus on my objective if my mind can be at ease knowing someone's watching over them. Besides, Terriemron and Hagurumon should be here somewhere, right? Maybe I'll find them on the next island."

"That is a lot to leave up to luck."

Super Sonic grinned at her. "Luck? Or "destiny". You sound pretty worried for someone who can "see everything"."

"It doesn't mater either way." Takumi said. "I will determine my own destiny."

Mirei growled. "Just as annoyingly stubborn as ever." she muttered under her breath. "Fine. Do as you please. I'll meet you on the next island." She walked away then vanished in a bright light.

Rosemon Burst Mode sighed. "I admit, I'm reluctant Takumi. But I also know how strongly you want your friends to be safe. If you really want me to stay here and watch over these two, I'll do that. You're my brother after all. Of course, I'll trust you."

Takumi smiled. "Thanks sis."

"Don't worry, I'll look after this guy." Super Sonic smiled. He turned to Amy and Nokia. "And we won't stop until we beat all the bad guys and get you two are back to normal."

"I'm feeling more like my old self, it's working!" Amy said.

"Yeah, you two just keep this up!" Nokia smiled. "And don't keep us waiting!"

"Which way Takumi?" Super Sonic asked.

Takumi put his goggles on and pointed. "That way."

Sonic held his thumb up to the girls and ascended holding Takumi's hand. "We'll be back before you can do a Fortune Card reading. See ya!" He flew off carrying Takumi with him. Amy, Rosemon Burst Mode and Nokia waved them off.

"Takumi… You promised to help me bring humans and Digimon together." Nokia smiled. "So, you better make it back."

First boss fight and first island are complete. Let me tell you this chapter was a lot of fun to write, particularly the fight with Omnimon Zwart and Giganto. I just listened to Undefeatable while writing and the battle practically wrote itself. Next week we start Ares Island.
