Chapter 585: Kick Sharp!
(February 22. Turtle Tail Lake.)
Time has come for the birthday of one of the kids adopted into the Sharp name and that Sharp goes by the name Clarence, but he would rather be called, Kick. The former son of the Buttowski family and a sharp and is now and officially 12-year's old.
The party looks like an extreme one and exactly as Kick would've wanted it and he is living the dream.
A lot of good friends from the Elementary school and most of the Royal Defenders have come to be part of this and watch as the kid with the extreme skateboard stunts goes around and shreds it on the lake.
Because he is literally shredding it on the lake, he's on his skateboard and holding onto the rope that leads to the speed boat, and apparently someone else is there to celebrate his birthday.
Someone who is a former extreme specialist or daredevil, the former mother of Kick: Honey Buttowski, the one well-known stunt woman of the watery speeds, Honey Splash!
And she's still got it. Doing incredible boat maneuvers as she goes through the lake and with Kick holding on and enjoying the ride. "This is so awesome!" He then jumps over and sleeping Quagsire which wakes up and looks around and then goes back to sleep.
Then Sam makes some sparks and she launches them into the air and makes Kick's name as if they're fireworks, and Kick leaps into the air with his skateboard and he lands back into the water, but only to surface on the back of a Blastoise and they catch up on the speed boat.
"Glad to see you being the same Kick I always knew" said Honey.
"Glad to see you still got it, Honey splash!" said Kick. They then race around the lake, but their outmatched when a Samurot races by them, and riding on it is Scarlet Rosetti.
"Try and beat this, suckers!" The Samurot accelerates ahead with Scarlet Rosetti cheering.
Seeing her go by surprises both Kick and Honey. "Wow. That girl sure is good" replied Honey.
"That's because she knows what she's doing and I like it when she brings up a challenge! You are so on!" Kick pats the Blastoise on the head and the large turtle roars and they speed up.
Honey can tell that something is going on between her former son and that girl, and sure to heck she knows there is one awesome future for those two… Even if she is older than him. She picks up the pace and catches up with them.
On land, everyone watches and cheers at the trio going around the lake and Peter Sharp is busy with the barbeque alongside Sergei and pretty much almost all the Spellman's are there, and Gunther is on the beach and he puts on some water shoes and he walks onto the lake with the camera.
"Hang on Kick. I'm a coming!" He then sinks into the water, but he surfaces on the back of a Swampert. "Onward noble steed!" The Pokémon roars and also catches up with the other three.
Everyone else is just enjoying the party and watching the race go on. "Is this a race? A sport? Or something else going on?" asked Luan.
"Sure looks like fun and look at em go!" said Lana. She then finishes her burger. "I'm gonna get another one." She then heads to Peter Sharp and he's busy cooking the bacon and hotdogs and also talking to the others.
"So, you guys are chill with Kick's former mom being here?" asked Loona.
"Pretty much" replied Ember. "She's his former mom and possibly the only family member of the Buttowski's that he's had a close bond with. She is a former stunt woman and daredevil."
"And judging by her skills, the lady's still got it" replied Leon. He then looks around. "What about the others? You know, Harold, Brad and Brianna? They're not here are they?"
"Not at the moment boy" replied Peter. He tosses a burger patty and Boomer catches it with two buns and he gives it to Katherine Mulligan. "Truth be told, she made sure her husband doesn't know and same with her daughter, also something must be going on with her."
Lynn Sr looks to Peter. "What do you mean?"
"What he means is, that she seems a bit more happy than usual and we overheard her saying she has this plan to handle her husband and possibly…. Maybe, not be part of the old family anymore" replied Ember. "Turns out, she heard about Timmy Spellman, formerly Turner and what he went through."
"Chances she might be coming up with the same deal towards us with Kick… I think it's only a matter of time before she asks if she can have custody of her son once again, but without the Buttowski last name" replied Peter. "And… Ember and I will need to think on that one."
This surprises some of the grownups. "Wow. Did not see that one coming" replied Michelle. They all looked to Gyro who is also surprised.
"What? Don't look at me, I didn't know about this. Honey's choice is her own and it'll take some good reasoning for her to claim custody of the boy, and to have a word with the two of you and you're choices too." Gyro mentions this to Ember and Peter.
Peter sighs. "We know, we know. But that's gonna be hard though, Sam and Kick have this small little brother and big sister bond, something she hadn't felt in a long, long time and now that Simon is back. That hole in her heart seems patched up, yet she still loves Kick equally as she loves Simon."
Ember continues for him. "Which means we'll need Sam to be in on this discussion. We cannot just have her not know about this idea of letting Honey get her son back… We don't even know if this is the right choice."
"Whatever choice you guys make." they look towards Neil. "Is the choice that will be said and done and soon, when the time comes, you have to tell this to Kick. He has to know, eventually."
"He has a point" replied Gwen. "Niel and myself, we're temporarily adopting Timmy, because when Sasha's sentence is over, then she will regain the custody of her son, Timmy and they can be a family again. They bonded once, and it was the best thing ever for either of them."
Peter and Ember know this, but this is something they need to think about and then when the time is right, then they'll tell Sam and then Honey and then Kick, this is gonna be one tough decision.
Meanwhile, Lincoln and the others are speaking with Ronnie Anne and Sid. "So… He wanted the toy, and to do that he's been making tons of toy review videos, with the parrot?" asked Jordan.
Ronnie Anne nods. "Unfortunately yes, and let's just say his ideas weren't the best ideas we're ever seen or heard and it made way too many boxes in both apartment rooms and there were so many of them."
"I went to check on Ronnie Anne and all I saw was a big box of toys and there were tons of animal toys inside, though Carl did let me keep one of the plush animals and it would make a good companion for Teri, he's a turtle" replied Sid.
"And how the heck did he get involved with this major toy thing?" asked Linka. "Besides the whole ordeal that he wanted that top toy in the city."
"He signed the contract to the toy company and if he said that he wants out, then they're gonna sue everyone in the family" replied Ronnie Anne.
This makes Lincoln spit out his soda onto Sid. "Sorry Sid."
"No problem." Sid wipes the soda away. "But yeah, it was all true. He literally did sign a dang contract and it could've ended so badly for the Casagrandes."
"You want FutureTech to handle this toy company?" asked Simon.
"That would help, thanks" replied Ronnie Anne. "I swear that contract looks like a freaking skull, and it was too much to even handle."
"We can figure that one out and…" Lincoln sees Lynn and Lana waving to him. "Be right back guys, gotta see what this is about?" Lincoln goes over towards his two former sisters, and leaving the others to talk about what had happened with Tia Frida and her art gallery and an art critic.
Lincoln then goes towards Lynn and Lana. "What's up and what's with th worried looks?"
Lana and Lynn nodded to each other and tell him. "The other day, when we were all just enjoying ourselves in the backyard… Something was up with Luce" replied Lana. "And not the normal creepy Lucy either."
Lincoln is confused by this. "What do you mean? Lucy has always been…" Then he asks. "What did she do?"
"More like, what did she sing" said Lynn. "I was just going through my deal with the baseball game losses while playing soccer with my Pokémon buddy, then all of a sudden Lucy sings this weird and kinda cryptic song."
"Toxicroak and I were just making a mud castle to look nice in the backyard, and then Lucy began to sing the weird song and… It got me creeped out" replied Lana. She holds Lynn's hand, and the older loud was fine with this, she knows how freaked out Lana was after what had happened the other day.
Lincoln is still confused. "You two will need to be specific to me about this one. What did Lucy sing?"
Lana and Lynn then hand him the note and Lincoln looks to what it says and is confused by the lyrics.

Lincoln is confused by this, but also concerned. "Well, this seems kinda sorta usual for Lucy." He then puts the note in his jacket. "But, if it makes you two feel better, I'll have Gyro check on this and figure things out. Because the lyrics sound… Like something, something dangerous."
"Anything else she's done lately that seems off?"
Lana and Lynn shake their heads. "Not that we know of and thanks for helping Linc. We don't wanna freak out the others until we know what's going on with…" Lynn then sees Liam make one epic and wicked throw when he tosses a ball of raw meat for Peter to use. "Okay, gotta go, later!"
They watch as Lynn goes to speak with Liam and his amazing pitching throw.
Lana goes back to enjoying some food, while Lincoln looks to the lyrics from the note. 'Something seems wrong about this note… I don't know what, but whatever it means is not from this world. Lucy, what have you gotten yourself into this time?'

A/N: Happy Birthday Kick and a good luck for when he heads to Middle School soon, he is 12 now after all, and it seems like a big mystery is lurking within Lucy, one from which happened the previous chapter. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
