Sonic, Takumi, Knuckles, Arata and MegaGargomon stood in front of a door of some kind. In front of it were four holes and four large balls. Each glowed with certain colors. And nearby was an ancient device connected to a crane. "Check that out. Call me crazy, but I swear this stuff wasn't active before." Arata said. "Was it?"

"It wasn't." Knuckles turned to his friends. "Any idea what changed?"

"Something similar happened on the last island." Sonic replied. "Let's just call it a little "divine intervention"."

"Or as Kyoko would say: With skill comes luck." Takumi smiled proudly.

"Either way, if we can open the lock's code, it should open the way to that flying Titan."

"Aren't you guys still short a Chaos Emerald?" Arata asked.

"Yeah, that thing will tear you to shreds." Knuckles added.

"On the last island the previous Titan was holding the final Emerald." Takumi replied. "We've searched the entire island so I'm willing to bet it's the same case here."

"First though, we need to play this crane game." Sonic said looking at the puzzle. "Lemme see… the stones and the ports seem to have corresponding colors…"

MegaGargomon scoffed and rolled his eyes. "We don't need the stupid crane." He walked up to the yellow orb and lifted it up. He walked over and dropped it into the yellow insert. He then picked up the red ball and kicked it into the red insert. He grabbed the white ball and tossed it back and forth between his hands and dropped it into the white hole. He then went to the purple ball picked it up and threw it over his shoulder. It fell into the purple insert. "Ta-da."

Knuckles folded his arms. "Showoff."

They everything started rumbling. "Is that good or bad?" Arata asked.

"Like it or not I feel like we're about to find out." Takumi murmured.

A massive ball bust through the door destroying it and knocked MegaGargomon over. He laid in the sand with the heavy object resting on his chest. "Ow."

Takumi hurried to his Digimon's side as Arata looked past the dust. "Looks like this cave leads somewhere…"

"It most certainly does." Everyone looked at the lavender-haired woman as she aproached.

Takumi turned to her as MegaGargomon lifted the ball off of himself. "Mirei!"

"So, this is Mirei." Knuckles said.

"The Titan lies ahead." Mirei said. "I trust you're prepared to face it?"

"We're still missing a Chaos Emerald." Takumi said. "But we think the Titan has it."

"I see. I suppose you'll know for sure once you find it."

"Or you can just tell us with this "see all" power of yours." Sonic squinted.

"You have no choice but to follow the path destiny has decided for you."

"Oh please." MegaGargomon scoffed dusting himself off. "You just like messing with people, admit it."

"Mirei, there's something I want to ask you." Takumi said. "We saw a black Imperialdramon arriving here. I take it that's the knight you want us to take down?"

"Yes. What of it?"

"I remember at the end of those challenges you sent me, you had me fight a form of Imperialdramon I had never seen before. After I defeated it, Kyoko-or rather Alphamon said that it was the founder of the Royal Knights. Imperialdramon Paladin Mode. You mentioned these fallen knights are from the very first generation…"

Mirei smiled. "So, you figured it out. What I had you fight was a copy made of old data. This is the true founder of the Royal Knights himself."

"The founder?" Arata asked in shock.

"His power is nothing like any other Digimon I fought before." Takumi said. "It won't be easy for MegaGargomon to do this alone."

"Then perhaps you should have listened to me when I told you to bring Rosmeon with you." Mirei replied.

Takumi gave her a stern expression. "No. I'm standing by my decision to look after my friends."

"Suit yourself. The good news is you might not need to worry. Remember what I said about how Bagramon's data is causing the fallen knights to mutate? It seems his dark energy has eliminated the holy power within Imperialdramon. Causing him to revert to a lesser form."

"Well, that's good news." Arata said. "But will it be enough?"

"A good question." Mirei smiled. "Why don't you fight him already and find out?"

Knuckles groaned and looked at Sonic. "Is it too late to call Silver? Not only is he less stingy about his info from the future, but this lady's attitude is starting to get on my nerves."

"In any case, like before gathering the Chaos Emeralds will attract Black Imperialdramon. So, you can take it and the Titan down at the same time. I'll leave you to it." Mirei walked away.

"Strange lady, that one is." Arata said. "She kind of reminds me of Kyoko."

"Well, we know what to do now." Sonic grinned to Takumi. "Ready to go face impossible odds?"

Takumi smirked. "Hey, you saw my past experiences, you know I faced worse. And we'll pull this off." He jumped onto MegaGargomon's hand who put him on his shoulder. Takumi grinned at Arata. "Because we gotta!" Arata grinned at him.

"I'm ready to roll!" the Digimon grinned. "Try to keep up!" He flew into the cave.

"Whoa, hey! That's my line!" Sonic ran after them.

"Good luck guys." Knuckles said.

Arata laughed. "Didn't you hear Takumi? With skill comes luck."

Once they passed through the came and all its traps Sonic, Takumi and MegaGargomon stood on a cliffside. Overlooking it they saw an oasis and a tower. "There was a whole other area hidden back here…" Takumi said.

Sonic looked up. "Hey, look." The Titan descended, circling around the tower like a serpent. Wyvern let out a roar. Sonic smirked as it moved faster and took to the air.

But not before Takumi got a closer look at the head with his goggles. "Yup. It's got the Emerald."

"That thing is too fast for me to catch it and as far as I know Sonic can't run on air. So, what's the plan?" MegaGargomon asked. "You do have one, right?"

"Don't I always?" Takumi pointed at the tower. "Sonic, get to the top of that tower. MegaGargomon and I will lure the Titan to you, you jump on it and then grab the Emerald."

"Sounds good to me." Sonic replied. He jumped down and ran towards the tower while MegaGargomon took flight carrying Takumi.

MegaGargomon soon got to the same altitude as Wyvern. "Man, this thing sure is bigger up close…"

"We just need to get its attention."

"Okay! Mega Barrage!" MegaGargomon fired at the Wyvern with everything he had, but it did about as much damage as a water balloon to the Titan. "…Wow, he didn't even notice that did he? Okay, let's try this…"

Takumi shuddered as he felt MegaGargomon's thrusters activate. "No, wait, don't do that, that is a terrible ide-

"Saint Tackle!" He charged at full speed into the side of Wyvern's head. The Titan turned its head to face them. "…Okay, that was not one of my brightest ideas."

"You think?"

The Wyvern roared at them before swiping at MegaGargomon who barely moved away from the claws in time. "Okay, you got claws, but I got missiles! Gargo Missiles!" He shot two giant missiles towards Wyvern. Wyvern in turn fired much bigger missiles that destroyed MegaGargomons. "…Oh yeah. You got those too."

"Please start running." Takumi murmured.

"Yes sir." MegaGargomon quickly turned around and started flying as Wyvern started coming at him.

Sonic had just reached the top of the tower when he heard yelling. He looked up and saw MegaGargomon moving as fast as his thrusters would carry him with Takumi panicking as Wyvern came after them clamping its jaws repeatedly. MegaGargomon circled around the tower as Sonic got on the edge. Once Wyvern passed by, he jumped and grabbed onto one of the points on its body. Wyvern had almost caught up to Takumi and MegaGargomon when it noticed someone was hitching a ride and flew straight up at high speed. It roared again and started spinning. It swerved around and Sonic grunted as his hold started to slip. Once he let go he went flying. "Sonic!" Takumi yelled. MegaGargomon flew up and caught the hedgehog on his way down. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I don't suppose you have a plan B?"

Takumi looked at Wyvern as it flew away. "As a matter of fact, I think I do. Sonic you're crazy enough to let Rapidmon shot you out of a cannon, think you're okay with missile surfing?"

"Sounds fun."

"Okay. MegaGargomon get us as close as you can!"

"I'll try! This form isn't built for speed!" MegaGargomon's thrusters activated and he flew after the Titan. Wyvern noticed it was being chased and accelerated. The gap between then slowly grew. "Dang it! We're losing it!"

"This'll have to be close enough. Ready Sonic?"

Sonic jumped onto MegaGargomon's other shoulder. "As ready as I'll ever be."

"Okay." Takumi pointed forward. "Open fire!"

"Gargo Missile!" Mega Gargomon shot a missile just as Sonic jumped. He landed on it and started ridding it towards Wyvern. Wyvern opened its mouth and light came out. Spinning objects with bars of red orbs came in front of Sonic's path along with red spheres that came towards him.

"Shot down those obstacles!"

"Burst Shot!" MegaGargomon fired smaller missiles that flew past the one Sonic was on and destroyed everything in his way before he finally got close enough to jump and land on Wyvern's back. He ran across it and soon reached the alter on the head. It stopped spinning as he walked up to it. Sonic held his hand forward and the Chaos Emerald flew into him. He ascended into the air with the Seven Chaos Emeralds spinning around him. He absorbed them and became Super Sonic once more.

"Whoa…" MegaGargomon looked at the glow in surprise.

"He did it!" Takumi grinned. "He became Super Sonic again!"

Super Sonic flew over to them. "Now let's see what the Emeralds have to offer you big guy." The Seven Chaos Emeralds appeared around MegaGargomon and started spinning around them. Takumi floated next to Super Sonic as his Digimon reverted back to Terriermon but was now glowing golden. "Huh…well that's not good, is it? What just happened?"

"Just watch." Takumi smiled. His glove glowed gold and his goggles flashed the colors of the Chaos Emeralds.

"Terrerimon Golden Armor Digivolve to…" Terriemron smiled as an orb of golden light engulfed him and Takumi. It then exploded and something flew swiftly in a circle stopping next to Super Sonic. It looked just like Rapidmon, only instead of green, his armor was gold. And a symbol was on it that in the Digital World was the mark of Destiny. Takumi stood on his Digimon's shoulder as he opened his eyes. "Rapidmon Armor!"

Down below Knuckles and Arata looked at the golden light burning in the sky. "Wow…" Arata breathed.

One the tower the mysterious girl and masked man looked at them. "Another Digimon Takumi used against the Mother Eater." the man said.

The girl stared at them. "It begins."

Super Sonic grinned. "I gotta admit, red and gold look good on you."

"Thanks, right back at you." Rapidmon Armor replied before a roar caught their attention. One that wasn't Wyverns. Black Imperialdramon started coming their way. It circled around them as Wyvern flew past them from the other side. Rapidmon looked at the Digimon. "Guess you finally decided to show yourself! I've been here waiting for the longest time to take you down!"

"Ready to do this?" Super Sonic asked.

Takumi punched his palm. "Absolutely! Full speed ahead Rapidmon!"

"Hang on tight!" Rapidmon Armor replied before he and Super Sonic flew after the dragons. Wyvern started shooting missiles that flew their way. The golden duo flew around them as they gave chase. Black Imperialdramon and Wyvern started to split up. Rapidmon Armor flew after Imperialdramon on the left and Super Sonic closed in on Wyvern at the right before he circled around it's left. Then the Titan unexpectedly swerved and slashed him with his claws knocking Super Sonic back before he straightened himself out and boosted after the Titan. As Rapidmon Armor closed in on Black Imperialdramon it barrel rolled and Takumi saw its claws. "Look out!"

Rapidmon backed up to evade a claw swipe. Then descended under another before he flew past Black Imperialdramon and charged up, kneeing it in the chin from below. When Super Sonic caught up to Wyvern again it prepared to strike but this time, he parried the attack knocking Wyvern off balance. He started slamming it with powerful punches and kicks then hit it with Sonic Boom. Wyvern recovered and swung again, but Sonic parried again and used a Cyclone Kick.

"Mega Crusher!" Black Imperialdramon spat a dark matter orb from his mouth. Takumi held his hands forward and Rapidmon Armor did the same as a barrier of light formed around them blocking the attack. The Armor Digimon flew up and shot light from his cannon arms into Black Imperialdramon's eyes. Wyvern shot a red beam at Super Sonic but he deflected it back into its face before flying to the other end of the Titan and grabbing it by the tail. He started spinning it around. "Positron Laser!" Takumi noticed before he and Rapidmon flew to the side of Black Imperialdramon to dodge a beam from the cannon on its back.

"Batter up!" Takumi yelled as Rapidmon Armor charge kicked Black Imperialdramon from the side sending it towards Super Sonic. The super powered hedgehog grinned as he slammed Wyvern into Black Imperialdramon as he came at them, batting the dragon into a mountain. He swung Wyvern a few more times and just as Black Imperialdramon tried to get up Super Sonic threw the Titan into him. The goliaths collided the slid to the bottom of the mountain. Rapidmon Armor flew next to Super Sonic before Super Sonic charged up a Homing Shot and Takumi held his fists forward. Rapidmon shot beams of golden light from his arm cannons and the barrel on his back. All the shining projectiles bombarded Black Imperialdramon and Wyvern.

"Yeah!" Knuckles rooted as he and Arata watched. "Beat em down!"

"Heh. Rapidmon Armor's even stronger than ever." Arata grinned. "That's Takumi for you."

From the tower the girl raised her hand and it glowed red. Wyvern and Black Imperialdramon rose up from the smoke. Both roared and pillars of light came out of the sides of Wyvern's body while a black orb swallowed Black Imperialdramon gathering purple lightning. Wyvern's pillars shot red rings everywhere. Takumi looked at Black Imperialdramon as he could see it take a new form in the darkness. "It's mutating!"

As Black Imperialdramon's dark orb dissipated it became a being with humanoid arms and legs. Its back cannon was now mounted on its left arm. Its dragon head was on its chest and in place was a head with red eyes and a gold crown. It became Black Imperialdramon Fighter Mode. He and Wyvern roared before Black Imperialdramon rushed in at startling speed and punched Rapidmon Armor to the sand bellow. "Positron Laser!" Rapidmon Armor looked up and started moving to dodge a rain of beams from the Fighter Mode's cannon.

"Takumi!" Super Sonic was about to fly in but backed up to evade the red energy rings and missiles from Wyvern as it flew by. He chased after it. "Okay, you know what?" He dodged the rings then when a missile came at him, he deflected it into Wyvern making it stagger. Wyvern swiped at Super Sonic, but he parried. Wyvern then slashed with his other claw, but he parried that too knocking it off balance again. Then he drew a Cyloop around its arms. "You need a time-out!" Shackles of light formed around Wyvern's wrists binding its arms. Super Sonic Cylooped the head making a collar on it for good measure. He then charged towards Black Imperialdramon Fighter Mode and hit it with a Loop Kick.

Black Imperialdramon staggered back and stopped shooting before his cannon extended a purple lance of flame. "Positron Laser Lance!" He started swinging at Super Sonic who dodged the attacks. Takumi threw a punch and Rapidmon mirrored the movement as he rocketed up and punched Black Imperialdramon into the sky.

They heard chains shatter before Wyvern snaked around Rapidmon Armor and fired missiles at him and Takumi from all directions. "He's got em boxed in!" Knuckles growled.

"Takumi, look out!" Arata shouted.

Takumi gritted his teeth as he and Rapidmon Armor braced themselves. But then Super Sonic flew in and caught all the missiles and gathered them together with impossible speed. "Sonic!"

Super Sonic grinned as he kicked the ball of rockets into Wyvern knocking it away. Then he and Rapidmon dodged black beams and looked up. Black Imperialdramon Fighter Mode was shooting at them from above. Wyvern then howled and soared above them as well. The heroes looked up and flew up. Rapidmon Armor dodged more Positron Lasers as it charged towards Imperialdramon as Super Sonic flew towards Wyvern who descended towards him while spinning and glowing with red fire. Super Sonic caught Wyvern and grappled as it still spun in his hands. Rapidmon Armor tore through the Positron Laser on Black Imperialdramon's wrist like a bullet of light ripping it apart. He then circled around it in multiple angles while firing rays of light bombarding it. They stopped while they were behind the winded beast and Takumi held his hands forward together with his Digimon mirroring his movement. Together they shouted "Rapid Fire!" and two missiles with faces struck both of Black Imperialdramon's wings along with mini rockets from the revolver on the back making it fall.

Takumi then looked at Super Sonic as he held the Wyvern still. It roared before he tossed it upward. Rapidmon Armor zoomed in and kicked it away. "I got a plan!" Takumi said. As he spoke quickly and quietly, Wyvern fired more missiles. "Got it?"

"Got it!" Super Sonic grinned as he positioned himself in front of Takumi and Rapidmon Armor. The missiles locked onto him and Rapidmon Armor flew away to the side before Super Sonic boosted away with all the missiles chasing him.

Wyvern noticed Rapidmon Armor was flying straight for it. It opened its jaws and slammed them down on the Digimon. "What the heck is he doing?!" Knuckles asked.

"Something crazy no doubt." Arata cringed.

Rapidmon Armor he held them giant teeth apart standing on the lower ones while holding the upper teeth with his arms. "Like we did with Examon." Takumi said. He lifted his arms up.

"If the exterior's too tough…" Rapidmon grunted as he lifted the jaws up.

Takumi whistled with a finger and thumb in his mouth, which was Super Sonic's signal to circle around back towards them with the missiles still on him. Rapidmon Armor then flipped upward and kicked the upper teeth forcing Wyvern's mouth wide open. Takumi and Rapidmon Armor backed up as Super Sonic stopped next to them letting the missiles fly past them. "You take it out from the inside!" Takumi said stretching his out and upward on a horizontal angle with his palms held out to the side and his fingers spread.

Rapidmon Armor spread his arms and a golden triangle formed with the points at his hands and feet similar to the Tri-Beam while the missiles flew into Wyvern's mouth and exploded making it's body bulge. "Miracle Missile!" Takumi and Rapidmon yelled in sync as Rapidmon Armor's whole body shot a golden beam straight into Wyvern's open maw that pierced through the other end.

As the Titan started to explode in red, Black Imperialdramon rose up behind him and the dragon mouth on his chest opened up gathering energy. Takumi, and Rapidmon Armor and Super Sonic nodded to each other. Rapidmon Armor held his right cannon arm forward with Super Sonic spinning in a ball in it while glowing brighter. Takumi held his right hand with a thumb up and two fingers pointing at Imperialdramon like a pistol "Gigadeath!" Black Imperialdramon shot a mighty wave. Takumi lifted his finger gun up as if taking recoil from a shot and Rapidmon Armor shot Super Sonic coated in golden light. He clashed with the Gigadeath for a bit then after they pushed each other back and forth a bit Super Sonic tore through it and slammed into Black Imperialdramon's chest pushing him backwards before he ripped right through his body. Super Sonic lopped and descended next to Takumi and Rapidmon Armor and fist bumped Takumi as the Black Imperialdramon's body emitted black mist as it clutched its chest. Its skin shifted between black and blue as it looked at Takumi with now clear eyes. "Ha, ha, ha…"

Super Sonic looked at him uneasily. "Uh, why is he laughing?"

"So, you…are the one…she selected… Amazing, good sir…" the Imperialdramon weakly said before looking down as his body started to fade. "You have…chosen wisely…Grade…" He then faded away and his black mist flew into Takumi.

"Whoa! Takumi!" Super Sonic looked at the teen as he grunted.

"I'm fine…" Takumi groaned. Before Sonic could question what happened further, they saw something.

Another Ancient, who again spoke in a language they never heard of, but somehow, they could understand what he said. "They're…gone. It killed them."

And then they saw something else. A white Imperialdramon wielding a long sword. "You must make the choice. You can either sit there and dwell on your mistakes while you wait for the end…or you can work with us to correct and atone for them."

"Another one…" Takumi murmured with a hand over his head. "What do these visions mean?"

Super Sonic looked at him. "I take it that white armored guy was the "founder of the Royal Knights" you and Mirei were talking about?"

"Yeah. Imperialdramon Paladin Mode. Was that part of his memories? And the way he looked at me before he disappeared…"

The masked man and the floating girl were still watching from the tower. "It happened again…" the man said. "That dark energy went into Takumi…How's he holding up?"

Sage looked at a monitor. "Better than expected. Still…if this keeps up…"

The man clenched his fists. "…They'll be after the third Titan next. Let's hurry to its island so we can prepare." The girl nodded and put a hand on his shoulder before teleporting them away.

Super Sonic and Rapidmon Armor then spotted Arata, Knuckles and Mirei and descended to them. "Enjoy the show?" Takumi asked.

"Not bad." Knuckles grinned at Super Sonic. "Things would've been over a lot faster if I'd been "Super Knuckles" but you did alright."

Arata smiled. "Yeah, if I had my Digimon here, Takumi and I would've taken em down faster, but hey, you got the job done."

Super Sonic smirked. "Yeah, you two keep telling yourselves that."

Takumi rolled his eyes. "Please, Diaboromon can't even fly." Black mist then flowed from him. "Agh!" He clutched his head in his hand as he developed a headache.

"Takumi?!" Arata turned to him. "What's happening to you?!"

"I-I'm okay…"

"No, you're not! Is your body breaking down on you again?!"

"I'm not half-cyber anymore, remember?" Takumi asked as the pain and mist died down. "Don't worry, I'm good."

Arata scoffed. "I swear I don't know what to do with you sometimes. You're stubborn and careless."

"Look who's talking."

Mirei sighed. "If you boys are done with your childish banter, this isn't over yet. There's one more fallen knight to take care of."

"And he's on another island, right?"

"Correct. The good news is I found not only another Titan on that island, but your last Digimon. Hagurumon. I've messaged him explaining the situation and left him coordinates on where to meet." Mirei typed into her laptop. "Sending the location now."

Takumi put on his goggles and looked at the marker. "Okay." He then turned to Super Sonic and pointed in the direction of the next location.

"I doubt the communication range will cover the distance." Arata said. "So…good luck."

Super Sonic looked down then at the sky. "We've got one more titan-bot to go. Hopefully we'll find Tails too." He folded his arms. "I'm worried about him."

Takumi put his hands at his hips and looked down. "Yeah. We still need to find Yuuko too. I just hope she's alright…"

Arata laughed. "You never change. Relax, you know that girl's tougher than she looks!"

"Same with Tails, he'll be alright." Knuckles said. "Now hurry up and save the day already." he said holding his fist towards Super Sonic.

Super Sonic and Takumi smiled at them. "Got it." Takumi nodded before turning to his Digimon. "Rapidmon, you stay here and keep an eye on these two."

"I'm all over it." Rapidmon Armor replied. "You two go beat the last targets and wrap this case up!"

Super Sonic grabbed Takumi's hand and put his other hand on the ground before he blasted off carrying the Cyber Sleuth with him. Knuckles, Arata and Mirei shielded themselves from the blast of wind as they watched their friends fly off. "Go get em, man." Arata said smiling.

Mirei smiled to herself as she left. "Just one more…"

Back at the Kuremi Detective agency Kyoko was working away at her computer. A pile of empty coffee cups was sitting next to her. She gritted her teeth then banged her desk in frustration then put her hands over her forehead. "Still nothing…"

"Late night, Kyo-Kyo?"

The woman looked up. She didn't even notice someone had come in. "Detective Matayoshi."

"I heard you had multiple families come in asking you to figure out what happened at Kamishiro Enterprises to find those four missing kids. Any luck?"

"No, but I'm still looking." She focused back on her computer. "I was given a case, and it's my responsibility to see it through to the end."

Matayoshi sighed and closed the door before turning to her. "Kyoko, listen. I've known you longer than any other detective. And I know how similar you are to your father."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"As you should. He was an outstanding man. That being said I can tell that you've picked up some of his habits. Like that poker face."

"You know I'm not a gambler."

"Don't joke with me Kyoko." Matayoshi folded his arms. "Ever since that fiasco, you've locked yourself in here, and I know why. You feel responsible for what happened back there, don't you?" Kyoko didn't reply. "You feel like there was something you should have done to protect those kids because you were there. No… not only that… Your own assistant is one of the missing people. You regret bringing him to the event, don't you?"

"No. He wanted to go. Besides, you know how dangerous our line of work is. He needs to get used to the idea of being exposed to danger."

"At his age? He may be your pupil, but Takumi is still a trainee."

"And he'll always be one unless he gets experience and develops. Don't get me wrong though. If something does happen to him, I know I will be responsible for it."

"Kyoko, what happened wasn't your fault." Matayoshi said. "There was nothing you could do."

"Maybe not. But there are things I can be doing now."

Matayoshi walked over to her. "True." He put his coat over her shoulders. "And to do them, you need to be at your best. Which means you need to make sure you're eating and sleeping between work and not investigating round the clock. Another habit you picked up from your old man."

"I'll sleep when I figure this out. I think I almost-

"Uh, oh, this sounds familiar." Matayoshi grinned. "Didn't you have to carry a sleeping Takumi out of here over your shoulder and drive him back to his apartment because he spent too long looking over case files in this very agency for you and fell asleep on the couch?" Kyoko looked at him in surprise. "You gave him quite a scolding the next day for it. Imagine if he saw his mentor and role model doing the exact same thing right now. Makes you wonder where he might have picked up that bad habit from."

Kyoko looked at her pile of empty coffee cups. She was honestly starting to miss her assistant's "special blends". She shook her head and laughed lightly. "I guess he wouldn't let me hear the end of this if he saw it, would he?"

Matayoshi laughed. "If he asked how concerned you are about him, I get the feeling you'd probably deny how much work you're putting into this search right now."

"Alright, alright, I get the picture." Kyoko stood up.

"Good. Let's get you home." They walked towards the door. "Still, I gotta say, you've gotten rather attached to that kid in a short amount of time."

"I suppose…" Kyoko took one last look at the agency before leaving. "It hasn't been very long since Takumi became my assistant. Still…it feels like I've known him for a long time even when I first met him... And when something compelled me to make him my assistant right away... It felt like I found something important to me..."

Another boss fight completed. And once again listening to the track made writing it fun. Next chapter we start on what I believe is everyone's least favorite island to navigate. Next stop Chaos Island.
