Author's Note: Hey, everyone. Here's a new update. Now, I have only one thing to say. This story comes with cover art which was made by the Deviantart user, Framraw. I liked it and they gave me permission to use it for my story. That's about all I have to say. Any and all comments are welcome.

With the help of Stark Industries satellites, Baymax was able to locate Yokai on a remote island of the coast of San Fransokyo. Tony flew on his own suit, but the rest had to be carried by Baymax. As they circled around the island, they located a manmade bunker on the far side. They landed safely and looked around.

"Awesome! Our first landing together as a team!" Fred cheered.

Wasabi looked at a nearby sign and looked worried. "'Caution! Quarantine Area'?" he read out loud. "Don't you people know what 'quarantine' means?"

"Quarantine: enforced isolation to prevent contamination that could lead to disease, or in some cases, death." Baymax said.

"Thank you, Webster, but I think these days, literally everyone knows what 'quarantine' means." Tony said. "Relax, Wasabi. It's perfectly safe."

"How do you know?" Wasabi asked. "There's a skull face on the sign. A skull face!"

"Well, if it wasn't safe, then Yokai would have chosen another hiding place, wouldn't he?" Tony asked.

"Uh… Okay. I see your point." Wasabi said.

Just then, a gently snap came from behind them. Everyone panicked and attacked with everything they got. Honey Lemon threw her chemical bombs blindly, Gogo tossed her disks, Wasabi waved his plasma blades in the air, and Fred relentlessly breathed out his fire blasts. When everyone stopped and the dust settled, they saw that it was merely a little pigeon surrounded by the ashes they made and completely unharmed.

"Well, it's a good thing we're not fighting an evil pigeon." Tony said.

"At least we know our gear works." Honey Lemon said embarrassingly.

Wasabi tried to cut a perfect circle in the steel wall, but when he couldn't he just left it was it was and made the hole which the team entered. Despite having to hear Fred sing silently, they kept their eyes out for anything unusual.

"Any sign of him, Baymax?" Hiro asked.

"This structure is interfering with my sensor." Baymax said.

"I'm getting the same problem." Tony said. "Thank goodness JARVIS doesn't rely on wireless connection, or else, he'd be gone too."

"You just love to hear yourself talk, don't you?" Gogo asked.

"It's my gift to the world."

"Hate to break it to you, but the world wants a gift receipt."

"No refunds or exchanges. Only store credit."

Honey Lemon stopped noticing a door open a crack. After taking a quick peek, she called for the others. "You might want to see this." She opened the door for everyone to see what was inside.

It was an incredibly large room that was half-filled with broken metal and railing. On the right side of the room, they laid their eyes on an enormous, metal ring that was only slightly damaged.

"That looks like what Yokai pulled out of the harbor." Tony said. "It's even got that same bird symbol."

"Look." Honey Lemon said pointing right beside them.

There was a small room surrounded by glass windows. They all entered it finding computers on the desks and the back of the room.

"I think this was some kind of testing chamber." Tony said. "Those metal rings must have been part of some big experiment that they were testing here. Right now, we're standing in the control room."

"What kind of experiment were they working on?" Wasabi asked. "And what went wrong?"

"Only one way to find out." Hiro said heading to the large computer at the back of the room.

As soon as he turned it on, there were several security screens on display, but only one was active. And at the center of the screen was a certain billionaire.

"Is that Alistair Krei?" Hiro asked.

"Of Krei Industries?" Tony asked. "Do you know him?"

"Not that well." Hiro said. "He tried to buy my microbots at the expo, but I turned him down."

With a push of a button, Hiro rewound the security footage and all of the other screens were shown displaying other parts of the lab. The footage started with Krei showing off the two, giant rings to what looked like promising investors.

"That's right. We were asked to do the impossible. That's what we did." Krei said. "We've reinvented the very concept of transportation. Friends, I present Project Silent Sparrow."

As if on cue, a blue field lit up in each ring. Krei was given one of the investor's hat and threw it into the ring behind him. It reappeared again coming out of the other ring. The scientist who caught it tossed it again, and it landed back to its owner's.

"Whoa! Magic hat!" Fred said.

"No, you bozo." Tony said. "It looks to me like Krei was working on teleportation experiments."

Krei lead the investors to the command center. Along the way, one of them, a young woman with black hair spoke up. "This is impressive, Mr. Krei. But A.I.M. isn't interested in teleporting hats."

"What's A.I.M.?" Honey Lemon asked. Wasabi just shrugged.

"I see your point, Scientist Supreme," Krei said, "But we've prepared the right demonstration." He called up a young pilot readying herself. "Ready to go for a ride, Abigail?"

"We've invited all these people. Might as well give them a show." Abigail said stepping into her rocket capsule. The countdown began at thirty seconds.

"Sir," one of Krei's employees spoke to his boss, "We've picked up a slight irregularity in he magnetic containment field."

"An irregularity, huh?" asked the one called the Scientist Supreme. It's clear she was skeptic. "Is it going to be a problem?"

"No, no problem, ma'am." Krei insisted. "It's well within the normal parameters. Let's move forward."

The experiment continued on as the countdown finished. That's when the capsule entered the ring in front of it. As it disappeared, the alarm sounded in everyone's ears.

"There's been a field breach! Abort!" the technician shouted. "We've lost all contact with the pod!"

All of a sudden, the other ring exploded in red fire. After that, the field in the other ring grew bigger and all the metal and railings were being pulled into it. It even took out most of the security cameras. Krei was able to shut it down, but the damage was already done.

"Well, I'd call this a colossal failure." The Scientist Supreme said brushing off her black and yellow uniform. "Apologies, Krei, but it looks like you've lost our support."

"Wait! Hold on!" Krei pleaded. "It was just a setback! Just give us a few more weeks and…"

"After what I just witnessed, you're lucky I'm letting you and your employees get off this island alive." The Scientist Supreme said. "I don't care if your father was one of us. It's clear you're not fit to fill his shoes. Have a nice life, Alistair Krei." She and her fellow investors left the command center leaving Krei devastated. That's when Hiro paused the video.

"What just happened?" Gogo asked.

"It looks like Krei was trying to be part of some organization. Maybe government. I don't know." Tony said.

"Well, whoever these guys are, they shut down Krei's experiment." Hiro said.

"And he's using your microbots to steal his machine back." Honey Lemon said.

"He must be trying to prove that it does work." Tony said.

"Krei's the guy in the mask." Hiro realized.

"Oh, no." Baymax said as he turned around. Everyone looked and was surprised by the large piece of concrete that was thrown at them.

Tony used his repulsors to blast a hole for everyone to get out. They escaped the concrete and looked up at Yokai, who stood on top of a pillar of microbots.

"Go for the transmitter! Behind his mask!" Hiro commanded.

Yokai shot microbots at Baymax and knocked him backwards. Hiro went to help him up while the others turned to confront Yokai.

"All right. What's the plan?" Wasabi asked.

"It's Fred time. Super jump!" Fred shouted as he leaped high above Yokai. "Gravity crush!" He was about to slam into Yokai, but he was effortlessly knocked away by more microbots. "Falling hard!"

"Seriously, we need a plan of attack." Wasabi said.

"I have a plan: attack." Tony said as he flew towards Yokai. He began to fire repulsor rays at Yokai, who blocked them with more microbots.

Gogo skated on the loose railings to circle Yokai. Once she landed, she launched a disk that hit him hard in the face, but it didn't knock his mask off.

While Yokai chased Gogo and Tony around the lab, Honey Lemon hid herself for the right moment to throw one of her chemical balls. She thought she did, but at the very last second, Gogo threw a disk at Yokai, who then dodged out of the way and hit Honey Lemon instead. The disk made her misfire her throw and the ball landed on Tony's armor. It covered him with blue liquid which made him lose control of his flight and he crashed right in Gogo's path. She fell over too. Yokai toward over them ready to finish it.

"HEY!" Wasabi yelled getting Yokai's attention. "Uh, you want to dance, masked man? Huh?" He pulled out his plasma blades. "'Cause you'll be dancing with these. Hand over the mask, or you'll get a taste of this!"

Yokai suddenly created several tentacles around him. He struck hard with them as if they were snakes biting at their prey. But each time they struck, Wasabi managed to block them with his blades. He did it several times before Yokai stopped leaving Wasabi proud of himself.

"Hey! I did all right." Wasabi chuckled. "Is that all you got?" He was about to walk when he suddenly lost his ability to move his feet. When he looked down, he saw that all the microbots he blasted surrounded his feet. It was then that he realized it was part of Yokai's strategy the whole time. With a flick of his finger, Yokai sent Wasabi flying at Fred, who had just recovered before he was knocked down.

"All right, Japanese Pennywise." Tony said after removing the blue chemical from his suit and flying up. "Looks like it's just you and me now."

Yokai grew the pillar he stood on and approached him menacingly. But behind his visor, Tony didn't drop his smile.

"Oh. Did I say you and me?" Tony asked. "I meant you and me… and them."

Yokai turned around just as Baymax and Hiro flew to his direction. He shot a wave of microbots to stop Baymax, but Hiro jumped off his robotic companion and finally managed to tackle Yokai. The two of them fell to the far side of the lab, and the fall made Yokai lose his mask which Hiro grabbed. As soon as it was off, all the nanobots spilled on the floor.

Tony landed right next to Hiro as he stood back up. Behind them, the rest of the team watched from above as Tony took the mask from Hiro's hands. But that's when he noticed something strange about the mask, something that he didn't notice before.

"Wait. Hiro." Tony said. "Something's not right. My arc reactor. It isn't here?"

"What?" Hiro asked.

"Look." Tony pointed at the mask's forehead, but there was no glowing machine part on it. "The neural transmitter is there, which explains the microbots, but the arc reactor isn't here."

Hiro looked over at Yokai, who slowly began to stand back up. "Where's the arc reactor, Krei?"

When Yokai stood back up, he revealed his true face. But everyone gasped when they saw that it wasn't Alistair Krei. It was…

"Professor Callaghan." Hiro said losing his breath. Right before him, the thought-to-be deceased robotics professor at SFIT shot daggers at him. "The explosion… You died."

"No. I had your microbots." Callaghan said. "I used them to shield me from the blast."

"This doesn't make any sense." Tony said. "How do you know about this place? What do you have to do with A.I.M.?"

"I don't know what that is, and I don't care." Callaghan said. "All I want is the mask."

"But Tadashi… You just let him die." Hiro said with a slight crack of betrayal in his voice. "He went in there to save you."

"That was his mistake!" Callaghan shouted.

That crossed the line to Hiro. His feeling of betrayal changed into anger. He saw nothing but red now. "Baymax, destroy."

"Wait, what?" Tony asked.

"Hiro, my programming prevents me from injuring a human being." Baymax said.

"Not anymore." Hiro said as he opened up his chip slot. He removed the green health care chip and tossed it across the room.

Just then, Baymax's eyes grew bright red. He locked his targeting parameters at Callaghan, who was scared out of his mind.

"Do it, Baymax! Destroy…" Hiro ordered.

"No, don't!" Tony interrupted jumping up in front of Hiro and Baymax.

"Tony, get out of the way." Hiro said without any emotion in his voice.

"No can do." Tony said. "Look, I get it. You're angry. I am too. The explosion took my dad from me just like it took your brother from you."

"Then why are you defending him?" Hiro asked. "He deserves to die and you know it."

"Look, Callaghan is a piece of garbage, but this isn't the way we do things." Tony said. "We still have questions for him."

"You wouldn't say that if…"

All of a sudden, a thunderous roar echoed from above. Everyone looked up and saw a gigantic, metal figure fall right at them. Everyone jumped out of the way making room as it landed. They looked back and saw that it was none other than the original Mark I armor that Tony made, but it had the arc reactor in its chest.

"My old armor? With the arc reactor?" Tony asked. "But who's wearing it?"

"Who cares? He's in the way." Hiro said. "Baymax, destroy!"

Baymax flew like a rocket straight at the armored man. However, the armored man effortlessly caught him and slammed him to the ground. He did it again and again before throwing him to the air. Baymax used his rockets to stop himself in midair, but he was repeatedly shot at by machine gun bullets coming from the armor's wrist. The machine gun was then put away and replaced with a missile which was then launched at Baymax. The impact made him hit the ceiling and fall to he ground.

During the fight, Gogo took the green health chip that Hiro threw away and raced on over to Baymax's fallen body. She opened the slot and placed it in. Baymax's red eyes changed back to its normal black.

"So much for your trump card, huh, boy?" the armored man mocked followed by a chuckle.

Tony raised his head up hearing the tone coming from the stranger. "Wait a minute. That voice… Stane, is that you?"

The armored man looked at Tony and his chestplate opened up like an automatic door. Obadiah Stane, the temporary CEO of Stark Industries, sat right behind the arc reactor with a smug look on his face.

"Hello, Tony." He said before reaching down and taking back the Yokai mask that Tony dropped. "You see, Callaghan? What would you do without me?"

"You two?" Tony asked. "You're in it together? You gave him the arc reactor?"

"I thought he would need it for a little extra boost in his power, but I think we're past all that now." Stane said. "Now, using it to power this suit that Callaghan stole. That is quite inspirational."

"Enough boasting, Stane." Callaghan said. "Just give me the mask."

"Oh, I'll give you the mask, all right. But the transmitter…" Stane ripped the machinery off of the mask and placed it on his own head. He then threw the mask in Callaghan's hands.

"What are you doing?" Callaghan asked surprised at this unexpected turn.

"Well, what's a puppet master without his strings?" Stane asked just as the microbots flew on in.

The microbots flew toward Callaghan and entered his clothes. He couldn't control them as they covered his arms through his sleeves and his legs through his pants.

"What is this?" Callaghan asked angrily. "This wasn't the plan!"

"Actually, it is." Stane said. "You see, we're still going through with your old plan. It's just that I've decided on a little something extra at the end. You'll understand when it's time."

"Whatever you're doing, Stane, I don't let you!" Tony yelled as he flew on over toward him. However, Stane put his armor back on and swung his fist at him. Tony was sent crashing to the wall.

"There is no way I'm giving up this power for an entitled brat like you, Stark!" Stane said. "When I'm done, my company will live in infamy! And none of you have the power to stop me! Enjoy feeling helpless!"

Stane grabbed Callaghan and activated his rocket feet. He flew on up to the open hole in the ceiling and disappeared. All the heroes were left confused, angry, and exhausted.

"Well, that's a bummer." Fred commented.
