Here we are, island number 3. This place annoyed me on my first playthrough, but I got it figured out now. Let's do this.

On the next island, Super Sonic held Takumi's hand as they approached via air. "There it is, dead ahead!" Takumi said.

"Got it." Super Sonic nodded. "Here's hoping we can have a smooth landing this time." Dark arrows flew towards him. "Whoa!" Super Sonic started swerving around them.

"You just had to say that didn't you?!"

"Just hold on!" Super Sonic started swerving around all the attacks. A giant dark wave came at them and he u-turned away. "Where is this coming from?!"

Takumi looked around then spotted a knight in black armor with a blue cape, armed with a lance and a shield coming towards them. It looked like Gallantmon only black and blue. "Chaos Gallantmon?!"

Lightning crackled from the lance. "Spiral Wailer!" The knight charged towards them, and Super Sonic barley evaded. The knight immediately turned around when he was behind them. "Waking Dead!" He slammed his shield with his lance making a powerful shockwave that blew them back. He then aimed his shield at them as they fell. "Chaos Crusher!"

"Oh, shoot!" Super Sonic swerved in front of Takumi taking the attack to the back. The Chaos Emeralds burst out of him and scattered.

"Again? I'm starting to see a pattern here." Takumi groaned before he and Sonic screamed as they fell.

Sonic could hear some strange noises when he started to stir. "Ow, man." He sat up and rubbed his head. "That was uncalled for."

"Ah, good. You're coming around." Sonic looked to his left to see a floating black gear with a gold rim. It had red eyes and two silver gears next to it.

"Whoa!" Sonic sprung to his feet thinking he was being attacked by another robot. But then he recognized this one from Takumi's memories. "Wait…aren't you one of Takumi's Digimon?"

"Indeed. My name is Hagurumon. Salutations."

"Uh, yeah." Sonic waved. "Wait, Takumi?! Where'd you go?!"

"On your left." Hagurumon turned to Takumi who was still out cold on the ground.

Sonic hurried over to him. "Is he alright?"

"I examined him. Thankfully he is merely unconscious. Truly a miracle given how far you two fell."

Sonic kneeled in front of Takumi and nudged him. "Yo, Takumi, you okay there?"

"Ngh…" Takumi winced as he started to stir. He slowly sat up. "Ow…ugh…"

Hagurumon floated in front of him. "Ah, Takumi! Good to see you're unharmed! …more or less."

Takumi looked up at the Digimon smiling at him. "Hagurumon!" He embraced the Digimon. "We found you!"

"Well, I believe it is I who found you, but that's irrelevant." Hagurumon put his gear hands on Takumi's back as if returning the hug. "It does not change my joy in seeing you again."

Takumi petted him before letting him go and standing back up. "Same here." Takumi turned to Sonic. "Well Sonic, I don't think I need to tell you, but this is my last Digimon. Hagurumon."

"Yup, saw the visions. How ya doing man?"

"Better now that you're here with my trusted partner, Sonic the Hedgehog. Mirei contacted me not long ago and updated me on the situation thus far. We must swiftly locate and defeat both the final Titan and the fallen Royal Knight."

"Well, we just saw one of them." Takumi sighed looking up. "Chaos Gallantmon. The other Digimon Mr. Navit had with him at the Master's Cup. And to make matters worse, we lost the Chaos Emeralds. AGAIN."

"Relax, we're used to this by now." Sonic said. "We just have to find them again."

Takumi looked around the island. They were high up in the clouds. They could see a volcano. And it looked like there were other islands around them. "Yeah, something tells me it's not going to be as easy as last time or the time before. Well, no use complaining about it, I guess. All we can do is search."

"Yes, well, before we can search for the Chaos Emeralds, I have found something-or rather someone that might be a higher concern for you right now on my way here." Hagurumon explained. "Yuuko Kamishiro."

Takumi gasped. "She is here! You found her?!"

"Yes, but she was trapped in some sort of cage. I tried calling out to her, but she didn't even seem to notice me."

"This sounds familiar." Sonic said folding his arms. "Was anyone else in there with her?"

"Yes. A creature with gloves and shoes like yours. He had two tails."

"I knew it! Tails is here!"

"I tried to unlock the cage, but the encryption was too strong for me to do it alone."

"We'll crack it open together Hagurumon." Takumi said. "I've already done it before. Where did you see them?"

Harugumon turned north. "This way."

"Good work. Okay, let's g-Agh!" Takumi winced with a hand on his head.

"Hey, you okay man?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah, just…a minor headache. Must have been the fall."

"Okay." Sonic stretched out. "Then you just ride the Cyloop with Hagurumon and I'll get us moving." Sonic dashed ahead and Takumi flew behind him on the bright trail with Hagurumon.

Takumi noticed something come into view. "Stop!" Sonic came to a halt.

"What is it?" Hagurumon asked.

Takumi pointed to the left. "Another one of those symbols." Sonic and Hagurumon looked at the sign. Near it was an object made of black, blue and purple blocks. Similar objects of those receptive colors were nearby.

Sonic looked at them. "So, what do you make of this puzzle detective?"

Takumi thought a moment. "They look like Tetris blocks. Try using your Cyloop on one of them."

"Okay." Sonic ran around the black one and it teleported above a stand before dropping onto it. "Huh, it is Tetris."

Takumi looked at the completed piece nearby. "Sonic, Cyloop the purple one next then the blue one."

"You got it." Sonic Cylooped the other two objects in order. Once the purple and blue ones stacked on top of the black one, they looked like the completed block nearby. Then the sign emitted a digitalized wave and a seed appeared.

Takumi put on his goggles as the first part of the map appeared. "We got another map to complete. Let's be sure to clear any puzzles we see on the way to our friends."

"Don't forget to keep an eye out for the big bots." Sonic said. "They hold those Gears."

"I did see a remarkably large robot while surveying the island." Hagurumon said pointing. "It's on the way to that cage and close by."

"Let's get em then!" Sonic said. They proceeded across the land until they came across a large robot with four long legs. A Spider. "Is that what you saw Hagurumon?"

"Indeed."

"Alright, let's go!"

"Target the legs!" Takumi said.

Sonic ran up to the Guardian and used a Homing Attack, but a red screen appeared and he bounced off. "Oof! Those legs are protected. Any other ideas?"

"Maybe your Cyloop can disable the shield!"

"Worth a shot!" As the Spider tried to stomp on Sonic but he evaded and used his Cyloop on the legs one by one destroying their red tips. Then the body stopped glowing. "Looks like that did it!" Sonic charged at the head and used a Homing Attack. But the Guardian bumped him upward with its head. "Uh, oh." On his way down Sonic was headbutted high into the sky.

"Sonic!" Takumi watched him soar into the air. "Hagurumon, be careful!"

"Understood!" Hagurumon aproached the Spider. It tried to stomp at him, but he evaded. "Haguru Attack!" He slammed into the leg knocking the Guardian off balance. "Cog Crusher!" His silver gears became black before he launched them into the robot making it stumble. The built in computer virus caused it to freeze in place. And then Sonic came crashing down from above destroying it with a powerful Stomp.

"Ha! How'd ya like that!" The hedgehog picked up the red Gear left behind.

"Working with you, relying on your strategies…" Hagurumon looked at Takumi. "I truly missed it."

Takumi smiled and petted Hagurumon. "And I missed having you with me little brother."

"Not to break up a family moment." Sonic grinned. "But we should get back to finding your friend and MY little bro."

"Huh?" Takumi looked at him. "You mean Tails? He's your brother?"

Sonic shrugged. "Why not? Family's not just about genetics."

Takumi smiled at Hagurumon. "Well, you're not wrong."

Inside a red cage, Yuuko was sitting down with her legs tucked into her chest burying her face into her knees. Tails looked at her sadly as he struggled to think of how to comfort her. Takumi walked up to the cage with Hagurumon. "Yuuko…"

Sonic stood next to them. "Hang tight, little bro. I won't make you wait much longer."

Takumi opened a monitor with a keypad. "Ready to try again Hagurumon?"

"Absolutely." His Digimon's eyes glowed as he got to work. Sonic watched Tails and Yuuko in the cage as Takumi started hacking it. In a matter of moments, it soon burst open. Tails and Yuuko gasped as they fell but landed softly on their feet. Takumi smiled before his head started pounding again. Meanwhile the cage's remains went into Sonic.

Yuuko along with Tails looked around at their surroundings before they noticed Sonic's body was turning black and he was on a knee coughing while Takumi was suffering a migraine with purple aura emanating from his body. "Takumi?!"

"Sonic!" Tails and Yuuko hurried over to help their saviors, but their hands phased right through them both.

"Just catching my breath." Sonic said as his body slowly regenerated. But he was still glowing blue, red and black in some places.

Takumi looked up at Yuuko as his headache started to clear up and the aura died down. "Yuuko, are you okay?"

"Me?! What happened to you?!"

"It's nothing, don't worry."

Yuuko gave him a stern stare. "I feel like we've had this conversation before and then your body broke down trapping your mind between dimensions."

The ghostly girl floated nearby as she watched Sonic get back to his feet. "They never stop."

"You're not wrong." the masked man said. "But I think it would be more accurate to say they just never give up."

"Tails…" Yuuko looked at her hands after she tried to touch Takumi again and went through him. "What's happening?"

Tails looked at himself. "The special anomaly that affected us seems to have left you and me in a digitized state." He walked around Sonic and Takumi. "As for your friend here…I don't know what ailments have caused such an abnormal reaction and for him to emit that unprecedent radiation…but those same energies that are presently keeping us digitized are manifesting into some worrisome manifestations for Sonic."

"Indubitably." Hagurumon nodded.

Sonic grinned at his best friend. "Those sure are words you said just now!"

Yuuko, Takumi and Hagurumon all sighed as Tails looked at Sonic then smirked before clarifying. "I'm saying Yuuko and I are fine, you two aren't and I'm worried."

"As am I." Yuuko said. "Tails and I may be stuck in an odd state but you two are the ones who look like you're in pain."

"Yuuko…" Takumi stared at her.

Sonic grinned and wagged his finger before leaning towards Tails with a thumb pointed at himself. "I'll be fine! And I need this power to rescue you."

"I'll be fine too, don't worry." Takumi smiled. "I mean, come on Yuuko, you know what I've been through."

The floating girl kept her eyes trailed on Sonic. "He's even enduring the cyber corruption even better than I calculated he would."

"And Takumi?" the masked man asked.

"His mental data seems to be enduring the abominable data he has absorbed…but if it grows any more than this…"

"So anyway, Takumi, meet my good buddy, Tails." Sonic said. "He's a genius mechanic and a reliable guy."

Takumi glanced behind the fox. "Huh. He does have two tails."

"I know, right? Pretty neat, huh? Tails this is Takumi, he's from another world. And that gear thing is his partner Hagurumon. And I guess you had some time to get acquainted with their friend Yuuko?"

"Uh, yeah. I found her while trapped in that Cyber Space. Based on the information we shared her father's experiment blasted her to Cyber Space somehow."

Yuuko looked at Hagurumon. "Takumi, how did you bring your Digimon here?"

"Right…let's get you two up to speed." Takumi said. "So, after the Digital Engine made that portal that sucked us in, I…"

"…Then we lost the Chaos Emeralds again because of the fallen knight here. When we came too, we found Hagurumon who told us he found your cage but couldn't do anything about it, so we went straight here and…the rest is history."

"I see." Yuuko said. "So at least Arata and Nokia are alright…I guess. And you're sure neither my brother nor Kyoko fell in here?"

"I'm certain I saw the portal close up behind me. I'm pretty sure you're the last person to free."

Sonic nodded. "We found all our friends now. Our only remaining concern is to get them back to normal."

"That and whatever's happening to you two." Tails said. "It sounds like breaking open those cages has done something to you Sonic. And I bet when the fallen Royal Knights were beaten, the remnants of this Bargamon's energy went into Takumi!"

"Maybe we should prioritize on stabilizing you two." Yuuko suggested.

"Forget it, we don't even know where to start." Takumi replied.

"Takumi's right." Sonic said. "Meanwhile we know defeating the Titans will save you guys, and there's only one left, so let's get what we know how to do done with first and rescue you, then we can worry about my glowing problem and getting Takumi's head checked out."

Tails sheepishly put his hand on the back of his head. "You're always rescuing me and…"

"Takumi, please." Yuuko said. "You should be showing more concern for your wellbeing, it's incredibly worrisome!"

"It's not that bad. Besides, I can understand and handle my wellbeing." Takumi said. "I can't understand how it is your feeling in that state right now, so of course I'm going to be more worried about you first."

Yuuko looked at the serenity in his eyes. "Takumi…" She sighed to herself. "So, it's true then… I'm always just…"

Takumi tilted his head as Yuuko looked down. "Yuuko? What's wrong?"

Tails looked at Yuuko uncomfortably as if he knew what was bothering her. He then shook his head. "Let's focus on the now. What do you need?" he asked eagerly.

"Chaos Emeralds." Sonic replied. "Think you can help me track them down?"

"I'm on it!" Tails smiled.

"I'll help too." Yuuko said. "I refuse to stand back while others fight for my sake."

Takumi looked at her in surprise. "Yuuko…"

"Don't try to talk me out of it, Takumi! If you're not going to look out for yourself somebody has to help you! And if getting me back to normal is the only way you'll focus on your own health then I say we do that as quickly as possible!"

Takumi smiled at her. "Thanks, Yuuko."

Yuuko smiled back and turned to Tails. "Let's get to work."

"Right!" Tails waved Sonic, Takumi and Hagurumon off before he and Yuuko ran ahead.

Takumi laughed as he watched them leave. "Tails sure is reliable for a little guy."

"Told you. He always was. Yuuko seems the same in that regard." Sonic replied before his body went dark again and he dropped to a knee grunting and coughing.

"Sonic! Are you oka- Takumi turned to him before his head started hurting again. He clutched it as the purple aura lightly flickered around him, groaning in pain.

"Takumi!" Hagurumon rushed over to him.

"I'm fine…just…need a minute…"

"Same…" Sonic murmured.

The masked man watched squeezing a shaking fist. "Sage… isn't there anything we can do? I mean, yeah, Sonic is our enemy, but he's just trying to help his friends…and Takumi…after everything he's done for humans and Digimon…he deserves better than this!" His voice started to crack. "For people so impressive like them to have to perish in the end for doing what they believe is for the best…it's…it's just not fair!"

The girl bit her lip. "…I don't know if the cyber corruption can be helped… but if we stop Takumi form absorbing any more of that dark data…it will at least buy him some time."

"Then we can't let them defeat that last knight…no more than we can allow them to destroy the Titan. But if we're going to stop them, we need a plan. After all the last two knights and Titans didn't defeat them, why would these ones be any different?"

The girl thought for a moment. "There might be a way to improve our odds…give me some time. First things first. We need to activate the Titan."

The masked man took the purple Chaos Emerald out of his pocket. "Gotchya." The girl put her hand on his shoulder before they teleported away.

Takumi and Sonic brought themselves back to their feet. "Okay…I'm good." Takumi said. "So where too first?"

"While alone on this island I've been surveying it." Hagurumon said. "While I won't say I know it like the back of my gears, I have found a number of things. Such as one of those gates you need for keys."

"Awesome!" Takumi held his thumb up. "We got a Gear, so let's go check it out!"

Sonic put the Gear into another Gate, and it activated. "Okay, we're in. See ya when we're done!" Sonic waved to Takumi before he went into Cyber Space."

"Come on Hagurumon." Takumi accessed the Gate next, and he and his Digimon vanished.

Takumi and Hagurumon stepped into another dark blue area. "Kawloon Level 2." Takumi said.

"Indeed." Hagurumon nodded. "Now, according to Mirei's information, we will collect Digi-Orbs here which in turn will allow me to Digivolve."

"That's it in a nutshell."

"Well then, shall we get started?"

Takumi nodded. Then two Otamamon appeared in front of them. "Here comes trouble."

"Stun Bubble!" The small Digimon spat bubbles towards them.

"Cog Crusher!" Hagurumon shot his gears that popped the bubbles before they could get close and destroyed the enemies and they left a Digi-Orb. "That was of minimum difficulty."

"It'll get harder as we move along, trust me." Takumi said picking up the orb. "And I'm not just talking about this path. Other Gates will have us face stronger enemies from our past."

"I see. And unlike before you and I will be doing it alone, without the aid of Tarriermon and Palmon. We best remain cautious."

"Exactly. Now then, let's keep going."

Sonic ran around a slanted, curving path and bounced off a spring into a handle he swung on to a Red Star Ring then to sinking and rising platforms. He rushed to a spring and bounced up then right then up into a portal. "Man, that brought back memories of Green Forrest."

Takumi and Hagurumon approached the end of the maze, where they saw a man with a mask in a business suit. Behind him was a Growlmon. "There his is. Mephisto. It won't be easy with you in Rookie form fighting alone."

Hagurumon approached. "Maybe. But if Terriermon and Palmon could adapt, so shall I. I am much stronger than I was the last time we came here."

"Let's hope it's enough. Here we go!"

Growlmon stomped towards them. "Pyro Blaster!" He blasted a jet of ferocious fire.

Hagurumon guarded the attack but was still slightly pushed back. Once it was over, he retaliated. "Cog Crusher!" His gears hit Growlmon making him stumble.

The Dragon roared and rushed at him. "Dragon Slash!" He ran up and swung with the fins on his arms glowing white.

"Dodge!" Takumi shouted. Hagurumon evaded the attack by moving to the side. "Now!"

"Haguru Attack!" Hagurumon rammed into it from the side.

The Growlmon stumbled back then straightened himself out and roared. "Pyro Blaster!" He started spraying fire continuously making Takumi and Hagurumon back up.

"Ugh, he's not giving us a chance to get close!" Takumi growled.

"I have an idea." Hagurumon said as they continued to back away from the approaching fire. "Throw me at his head."

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Trust me."

"Well, okay." Takumi picked up Hagurumon and tossed him. He landed on top of Growlmon and covered his eyes with his gear hands. Grawlmon started swerving and spewing the Pyro Blaster everywhere. "Whoa!" Takumi dove to the floor to escape being barbequed. "What kind of plan is this?!"

"Still in progress, give me a minute!" Hagurumon tightened his grip on the flailing Digimon. "Command Input!" A black energy emitted from his gears then flowed through Growlmon. It stopped attacking. "There!" Hagurumon jumped up and slammed on its head knocking it down. "That should disable the Pyro Blaster!"

Takumi stood up. "Really? Nice!"

"But that doesn't change the fact that he has brawn!"

The Growlmon ran at them. "Dino Kick!" He jumped and dropped kicked Hagurumon a good distance then started stomping towards him. As Hagurumon tried to get up, Growlmon's foot was over him ready to stomp. But he lost balance when he felt a tug. Looking over his shoulder he saw Takumi grabbing his tail. Annoyed, Growlmon started flailing the tail around with Takumi holding onto it as tightly as he could. At least until he was slammed on the ground and let go. Growlmon spun around and whipped his tail into Takumi sending him flying.

Hagurumon gasped. "Takumi!" He got up as Growlmon turned towards his partner. "Machine Attack!" His gear hands grew and flung at Growlmon with electricity. The dragon Digimon howled in pain as it spasmed before it collapsed and vanished. He hurried over to Takumi's side ignoring the vanishing Mephisto copy. "Takumi, are you alright?"

The Cyber Sleuth groaned as he sat up. "Ow."

"That was reckless even for you Takumi! Honestly, this is why Yuuko worries!"

"Said the guy who's plan was to have me throw him at Growlmon."

"Er…well…"

Takumi smiled and petted Hagurumon before standing back up. "I guess we're both reckless fools then." He found a Digi-Orb and the portal. He went over to claim the reward. "Alright, let's get moving."

"Agreed." Hagurumon followed him through the exit.

The visions showed Takumi's first investigation at the hospital with Kyoko. After they split up Takumi saw Yuuko standing alone. After talking with a nurse, the girl stared at him. Takumi looked at her uneasily for a bit before speaking up. "Hello!" The girl simply walked into the elevator and left. "Huh… Guess she's shy or something."

Takumi proceeded in trying find his way to the Special Ward. With the entrance guarded, Kyoko then suggested he look for a hospital terminal to Connect Jump into. After getting into the ward and shockingly discovering his physical body, he got access to a computer and acquired the data he was looking for. But on his way out he ran into the same girl from the lobby. "Why are you here? This area is supposed to be off limits with guards watching over the entrance. How did you get in here? Did you do something to the guards? Who even are you?"

"Are you with Kamishiro?"

"Don't answer a question with a question! Answer me!"

"I'm plan old detective's assistant."

Yuuko thought for a moment. "I see. Well, never mind, then. You came to investigate EDEN Syndrome, right?"

"Yeah…"

"Was there something you wanted to ask?"

Takumi was surprised with how cooperative Yuuko was, but she did answer all of his questions. That is until they heard someone at the door. Someone named Rie Keshibe. Kyoko gave Takumi the signal to leave. "Oh, great…"

Yuuko turned to him. "Hide! Quickly!"

Takumi went straight into the computer room and closed the door. It wasn't long before he heard the woman's voice approaching. "Oh, crud." Takumi looked around franticly for a place to hide. Then he saw the computer and got an idea. He ran over and used his Connect Jump to escape.

Next scene showed Takumi meeting Yuuko again at the office. "Oh!"

"It's you!"

Kyoko looked at them. "What's this? You two know each other?"

"Er…"

"I wouldn't put it that way." Yuuko replied.

After some awkward silence Kyoko spoke again. "Hmm… Well, regardless, you're Yuuko Yamashina, my new silent?"

After Yuuko gave her case to find her father Takumi did his investigation. He got access to Zaxon's Forum where a hacker gave Takumi a mask and pointed him to Kawloon 2. After infiltrating the ranks of mysterious masked hackers, he encountered a man named Mephisto. But when he questioned him his Growlmon started acting strange along with him. "I want a rare… sparkling, shiny new account… Give it to meeeeee!"

After Takumi defeated Mephisto and recovered the EDEN accounts, he and Kyoko went to the home of Makoto Yamishina and his true daughter Chika. Returning to the office Kyoko reported to Yuuko and announced the case closed. Takumi was suspicious but played along. "Excellent! Case closed!"

Yuuko stood up from the client couch. "I'll be back."

Kyoko spoke up. "You're welcome at any time. Next time, feel free to use your real name. Ms. Yuuko Kamishiro." The girl gasped in surprise before leaving.

Tails and Yuuko gasped as they finished watching. "Wow…" Tails said as he looked at the gate. "Were those your memories?"

"No…they must have been Takumi's." Yuuko replied looking at the gate. "But how in the world did…" Takumi and Sonic appeared nearby startling them. Sonic collected four keys. "Takumi!" She and Tails hurried over.

"So those are the keys you mentioned?" Tails asked.

"That's right." Sonic replied as they vanished into his hand. "Once we have enough the vault holding the Chaos Emerald will send up a beacon that'll lead us to it." He turned to Takumi. "By the way Takumi…that mask you had to get into that area in the vision…and the masks those guys were wearing…"

"You mean the Demons?"

"Yeah, didn't they all kind of look like the one that guy harassing us was wearing?"

Takumi put a hand at his chin. "Now that you mention it…"

"You mean the man who you said came from our world and remembered everything from before the transformation of our world?" Yuuko asked. "Do you think this means he was with the Demons?"

"I don't know…" Takumi said. "He also sounded familiar with Arata and Ryuji. We thought maybe he used to be a member of Jude."

"He could have joined Jimmy Ken after Jude disbanded."

"Unlikely. According to Arata they all quit being hackers all together after what happened in Under Zero."

"That's true…Just who is that man? And what does he hope to accomplish in this world?"

Tails looked up at the shrine. "I'm curious as to why your memories came flooding out of this thing when you were in the system."

"Beats me." Takumi replied. "All I know is going in there leads to me going through an area and redoing a fight from my past. After I leave, we all see visions connected to that battle."

"Interesting…Let me know when you guys are going into another one. If I can analyze it during the whole process, we might learn something."

"Good idea." Yuuko replied. "Where's the next Gate?"

"I saw one north of here." Hagurumon replied.

"Let's go then!" Sonic ran ahead. Takumi, Hagurumon, Tails and Yuuko flew behind him on the Cyloop trail.

In not time they came close to their destination. But not before Takumi spotted something. "Wait, stop!" They halted and Takumi went to another sign with a question mark. "Another one."

Sonic looked around and saw something on the floor. "Another one of those, huh?" He Cylooped around it and it spawned a big blue ball and blue rings floating near it. "Alright, who wants to go first?"

"I got it." Takumi took a few steps back then with a running start ran up and punched the ball sending it flying into the ring on the left and it disappeared. A new ball spawned.

"Ah, I see." Hagurumon backed up. "Haguru Attack!" He charged into it and it flew into the ring on the right.

"My turn!" Sonic used his Homing Attack, and it went through the ring in the center. The symbol on the sign changed and a blue wave came through. Sonic picked up the seed as Takumi checked the updated map.

"So, these things send data to your Digivice?" Yuuko asked.

"Yup." Takumi held his goggles towards Yuuko since she wouldn't be able to hold them. "Take a look." Yuuko leaned her head into the goggles to see them map in the lenses. Takumi then crouched so Tails could take a look.

"These Digivices sure are handy!" Tails smiled. "I wish I had a chance to compare them to the Miles Electric!"

Sonic looked at the sign. "Yo Tails. Can you figure out if there's anything special about the ruins with this symbol?"

"I can't be sure without a proper analysis, but it doesn't seem remarkable. What is remarkable is the data retention after all these years."

"Agreed." Yuuko said. "So far it seems the maps are all accurate and the corruption is negligible. Impressive given how old this is. Not to mention that the map data is automatically stored in you Digivice. A gadget made many years later in another world. One that wasn't designed for this. It's amazing really."

Tails nodded. "Especially for some long-distant civilizations!"

"Yeah. Too bad they can't give us all the answers to the islands' mysteries." Sonic replied.

"Still, they're right." Takumi said. "How did a race so ancient make something so advanced? One would think this kind of tech came from the future."

"That's all we can figure out right now though." Yuuko said before looking at her holographic self. "In this state."

Tails sighed. "This is not an ideal working condition. If I just had my body, I could be so much more efficient."

"Amy said she felt like she was in a dream." Sonic said.

"Knuckles described the cage as a living nightmare." Takumi added. "Was it like either of those for you two?"

Yuuko sighed. "…Both sound accurate. My time before you freed me…wasn't pleasant. Thank you for getting us out by the way."

"Not a problem."

"As for how I am now... I can think clearly, and am aware, but there's no…physicality to it."

"Yeah, that sums it up." Tails said. "Everything feels just out of reach."

Takumi had a thought. "I wonder…The Koco… from what I gathered they seemed to have the memories of the Ancients. When they were done, something came out of them…I wonder if it could be the spirit of the Ancients."

"Do you think that's why they made the Koco?" Sonic asked. "To have something "real" to put their spirits into?"

"That's what I'm wondering." Takumi replied. "We certainly can't rule it out given what we saw on the previous islands. Well, that's a mystery for another time. For now, let's head for that gate. Oh! But first we need a Gear. Let's go find us a big robot." The others nodded.

And we have the last of Takumi's Digimon and the last of his and Sonic's friends. I have plans for them for their experience on this chaotic island, so look forward to that as we move along.
