I woke up at the crack of dawn as I usually did, even though I'd gotten a horrible night of sleep. I always had to be the first up so I could start my command as soon as possible. I didn't expect Rebel to be up yet, normally she was laying in bed fast asleep, despite any commotion, but this morning I heard her sigh as she got up without me waking her. I was just about to ask her how she slept when I saw Wrecker walking towards us. Oh great, where there's Wrecker, there's trouble. I wondered why he was here and not with the rest of his batch, but knowing Wrecker, it would be difficult to get an answer out of him. "Hey shorty!" He called her that only because she hated it. He ruffled up her glossy black hair and leaned on her head with his arm. "What's got your feathers all ruffled up?" She did look tired, unusual for her, everyone would be able to tell something was wrong. I raised an eyebrow, she wouldn't like that. One of these days, she was bound to hurt him. "Not like you would care!" she snapped back at him and shoved his arm off her head, but usually she teased him back. She fixed her hair back into place and smoothed it down, then stormed off. I guessed she didn't exactly know where she was going, she just wanted to get away. She headed to the mess on impulse, she didn't eat last night so I'll bet she was hungry. Wrecker watched his sister leave for a few moments and then flashed a glance back at me, shrugging. He'll understand eventually, I hoped. I gave him an apologetic look to excuse both Rebel's odd behavior and my running off. I chased after her, she was so fast she'd already made it into the mess.
