Craniamon carried Sonic over to the last tower. He slowly limped over to it and shut it down. "There…" he groaned. "It's…done…"

An Ancient was inside a Titan in white armor with a red face, wings and a rifle that looked up. "This isn't working! If we can't beat it, we'll seal it!" His Titan put its weapon on its back. "I'll bind it to my Titan." He looked at the three Titans Sonic and Takumi defeated below him. "Then you guys seal us in Cyber Space!"

"No!" the Ancient controlling Giganto shouted. "We'll find another way!"

The white Titan shook its head before looking back up rising. Red energy flowed into the Titan. The Ancient inside screamed as said energy started to engulf him as well. The Titan's head leaned up as the rest of its body slackened. "They're… gone." the Ancient controlling Wyvern whispered. "It killed them."

The Titan started descending towards the planet. The others could only watch as their comrade fell. "We can't let their sacrifice be in vain!" the Ancient controlling Knight declared. "They had a plan! Let's do it!"

The three Titans looked above them again. The Ancient controlling Giganto yelled as the first Titan Sonic and Takumi encountered ascended. The Ancient controlling Wyvern growled as the second Titan they defeated slithered upward. The Ancient controlling Knight roared as the third Titan they defeated took flight. Together they charged at their enemy.

Keisuke weakly hobbled forward. He was tired. Angry. Saddened. All hope was lost to him. He walked through the pouring rain alone. He heard something and looked at the last tower as it shut down. "…So that's it. This world is done for. And I couldn't do anything to stop it from happening…" He dropped to his knees. "In the end all I could do is watch…I really wasn't anything special. Just a pointless side character…" He looked up when red circles appeared in front of him, and robots came out. Sage wasn't controlling them…it must have been it now that the seal was gone. He saw them look around before spotting him and running towards him. Keisuke just sat on his knees and closed his eyes resigning to his fate.

"KEISUKE!"

Just before the first robot could skewer the boy, someone rushed in and tackled it. He looked to his left where they landed. A being with a scarf punched it in the face while it was flat on its back destroying it. Keisuke watched the being stand up as the rest of the robots looked at it in shock. He couldn't believe it, but he saw that back more than enough time to recognize who this was. "Pile…Volcamon…?"

The Digimon pounded his fists together. "Hands off our pal, dirt bags."

The robots charged at him until a blue laser rained down on half of them, destroying them on the spot. A metallic serpent came down next to PileVolcamon. "Yeah, ya puny pieces of scrap! You ain't laying a finger on him while us boys are around!"

Keisuke looked at him next. "Metal…Seadramon…"

The remaining robots advanced at them but noticed a red glow in the sky. They looked up and a fireball rained down destroying them leaving a smoking black mark behind. "Keisuke, are you alright?"

The hacker gasped and looked behind him. There was a giant purple beetle behind him. "Tyrant…Kabuterimon…!"

The other two Digimon turned to him. "Sup partner!" PileVolcamon waved.

"Looks like we got here just in time!" MetalSeadramon said as the three approached their partner.

Keisuke looked at all of them in shock. "Is this… is this real…? You…you're not more copies made by Sage or Cyber Space, are you…?"

"Copies"? Can copies look as dashing and buff as yours truly?" PileVolcamon pointed at himself with his thumb grinning.

Keisuke's eyes started to water as he put his hand on one of TyrantKabuterimon's. This was no illusion. His Digimon were right there. "This…this is real…"

"It's been a while…my friend." TyrantKabuterimon said.

"Ha…" A smile grew on Keisuke's face. "You're all here!"

"Jeez, what's with the tears man?" MetalSeadramon grinned. "It's not like you to get so emotional."

"I…I missed you guys so much…I was starting to lose hope that I would ever see you again…"

"Ha! As if you could get rid of us that easily!" PileVolcamon laughed.

"We missed you too partner." TyrantKabuterimon asked. "Seeing you again…it's like a dream come true."

Keisuke wiped his eyes with his sleeve. "Everyone…!"

"These three were rather eager to see you again."

Keisuke looked up to see a woman with lavender hair walk up to him and gasped. "Mirei?!"

The woman approached with a Digimon that was half white and half black. "It's been some time Mr. Amasawa. You truly are a mysterious one. I have no idea how you came to this world, but it is most beneficial for me."

"Mirei came to Hudie in the Digital World." PileVolcamon explained. "She said she noticed you came to this dimension and asked us to join up with you so we can do her a favor."

"A favor?" Keisuke asked.

"Correct." Mirei nodded. "There is someone in this world I want you to defeat. And you may be the only Digimon Tamer of your world with any chance of defeating him."

"Who's that?"

"A detective by the name of Takumi Aiba."

Keisuke's eyes widened. "What…? You want me to fight Takumi?"

"Oh? You know him?"

"Well yeah, I…had some run ins. During one of them I got a scan of his Mental Data and learned what he did back during the…incident."

"Good. Then I can save some time on that explanation." Mirei said adjusting her glassed. "I don't know how or why Takumi came to this reality, but he's on the verge of dooming this world and perhaps many others. You see, I've been monitoring this world because of an ancient evil that was sealed within it from the Digital World."

Keisuke gave her a weird look then gasped as he put two and two together. "The fallen Royal Knights!"

"Ah, so you know about that too. In any case when I noticed their presence fading, I did some digging and to my shock found one who holds power like mine slaying these knights. I don't know what Takumi thinks he'll accomplish by doing this, but he must be stopped. Sadly, I am no match for him. Then I found out you were here and figured you might be able to stop him. Takumi has become incredibly powerful. But if we don't do something-

"Whoa, whoa, whao, hold on a second!" Keisuke shouted.

"What is it?"

"Takumi said YOU were the one who told him to destroy the fallen Royal Knights! He told me you sent him to this world for that purpose!"

For the first time in his life Keisuke saw Mirei with a shocked and confused expression as his Digimon looked at her. "What…? How is that…?"

Rosemon carried Takumi more slowly when he noticed the boy groaning in pain. "Hold on Takumi! Just for a bit longer!"

Hight in a dark sky Alphamon along with the Royal Knights stood before Bagramon. "Such wasted potential Grademon." Bagramon said. "You could have risen beyond King Drasil. Now you bind yourself to servitude with him? How pathetic."

"At least I haven't become the kind of evil I swore to cut down. You are a threat to all life in this world and need to be stopped!"

The scene cut constantly showing a fierce battle. The combined Royal Knights looked like they were overpowering Bagramon…but whether he had a hole blasted into him by Gallantmon, was cut repeatedly by Leopardmon, or even was torn in half by Examon, his body regenerated constantly. What's more he did not seem to tire. As opposed to the knights who were slowly getting worn down. "This is getting us nowhere…!" Gankoomon panted.

"Wallow in despair and hopelessness!" Bargamon laughed. "I have risen beyond life and death! I am true justice! I cannot be extinguished! And soon I will eliminate King Drasil and all life in this world! Then I shall create a new Digital World to replace his! And on it I will form the perfect future Digimon deserve!"

Imperialdramon Paladin Mode stared at the laughing Bagramon. "…Omnimon…Gallantmon…it seems we must resort to the plan we discussed."

"…I believe you are right." the Omnimon said.

"There is no other option! This megalomaniac must be stopped, no matter the price!" Gallantmon declared.

"Wait, you have a plan?" UlforceVeedramon asked. "You could've told the rest of us!"

"I had hoped it would not be necessary." Imperialdramon replied. "But we have no choice. Alphamon!"

The 13th Royal Knight flew to his side. "Yes?"

"Everyone, strike together. Once he is open, Alphamon and I will attack as one with everything we have."

"Understood."

"The Ray of Victory!"

"Shock Ringer!"

"Supreme Cannon!"

"Black Aura Blast!"

"Inferno Frost!"

"Breath of Wyvern!"

"Spiral Masquerade!"

"Shield of the Just!"

"Magna Blast!"

"Quake! Blast! Fire! Father!"

"Pendragon's Glory!"

Bargamon watched the combined attacks from the knights approach. "Pointless!" He pulled back his fist. "Astral Snatcher!" He punched at the attacks, and they collided in a bright light.

Imperialdramon held his blade in both hands. "Now Alphamon!"

Alphamon held her hand forward and a green light projected in front of her. "Kyukyoku Senjin Oryuken." She pulled her hand inside it and pulled out a massive and brilliant gold and black blade. She held it in both hands.

Imperialdramon held his sword in two hands. "Omni Sword!" He held up his weapon and it glowed with white light. He and Alphamon roared as the two charged towards Bagragmon.

When the Digimon pushed the attacks of the other knights away he noticed gold and white engulfed figures charging at him. "W-what?!"

Alphamon and Imperialdramon shouted as they dashed through Bagramon cleaving through his body with their blades like hot knives through butter. His body was separated into three pieces. His legs, his torso which included his arms, and his head. "Did they do it?!" Crusadermon asked.

Black mist emitted from the cut parts that connected. "No…" Craniamon growled.

Magnamon cringed. "Is nothing we can do going to stop this monster?!"

Kentaurosmon then noticed Omnimon and Gallantmon fly towards Bagramon. "What are you doing?!"

"Ha, ha, ha…fools." Bagramon laughed. "I am immortal. I shall recover from any harm you inflict on me. You are powerless in the face of the new god…"

Imperialdramon turned around and faced him. "We'll see about that. Alphamon, get back."

Alphamon looked at him. "Imperialdramon? What are you doing?"

"Ending this." He flew up to the pieces of Bagramon. Omnimon and Gallantmon aproached. "Let's go."

The two knights nodded. The three of them held their arms out and started to glow. Bagramon felt his their pieces being drawn apart. "W-what is this? What do you think you're doing?!"

"You're evil must not be allowed to exist in this world!" Gallantmon said.

"If you cannot be destroyed…" Omnimon declared. "Then you shall be sealed away instead!"

"What?!" Bagramon yelled in shock.

Alphamon gasped. "Imperialdramon! Gallantmon! Omnimon!"

"Don't do it you fools!" Dynasmon yelled. "That monster is infused with not only King Drasil's power but energy from the Dark Area! It will corrupt you!"

"So be it!" Imperialdramon said. "I will fulfill my duty as a Royal Knight and protect this world! That is the future I chose!"

"No…!" Examon muttered.

"You insolent puppets!" Bagramon yelled as his pieces started to be pulled towards the knights. "I will escape this one day…and when I do, I'll…I'll…! AAAAAAAAAGH!" His three pieces compressed into purple orbs that were absorbed into the knights. Gallantmon absorbed Bagramon's legs, Omnimon took the torso and arms, and Imperialdramon took the head. The three of them groaned in discomfort and purple aura glowed around them and they fell towards the ground.

"No!" Alphamon flew after them. The knights followed. When they reached where their allies crashed the three were trembling in pain.

Takumi clutched his head. Rapidmon looked ahead. "There!"

When Takumi looked ahead, he saw Craniamon raising his spear to signal them. "G-good…they did it…"

"Takumi!" Craniamon yelled. "Sonic is…!"

Takumi gasped and looked where the hedgehog was standing. Once he was close, he jumped down. "Sonic?! What's happening?!"

"I don't know! But whatever it is, it's getting worse at an alarming rate! I…I don't know if…!"

The hedgehog's vision was enveloped with red everywhere as he groaned. His head shot up as he held it in his hands yelling in pain as a black burst emitted from his red and black body. "SONIC!" Takumi ran over to him and grabbed his shoulders crouching down. "No! Come on! Sonic, stay with me!" Sonic groaned as his arms dropped. Then his head lowered. Takumi's blood went cold when he saw his friend froze. No matter how hard he tried to shake Sonic his body wouldn't budge. "So…nic…?"

While Sonic could no longer move or speak, he could still see in this red void. He saw Mirei teleporting in with his and Takumi's friends. All of them were back to normal. Doctor Eggman was descending towards him in his Eggmobile with Sage floating next to him. The glass opened as he took a closer look. "Takumi!" Nokia gasped.

Arata looked at himself. "We're…free…He smiled at his friend. "You guys did it! You…" His smile dropped when he saw Sonic.

The sight made Amy gasp. "Oh… Sonic, no…" She ran over to him. She put a hand on his frozen body. It felt cold.

Takumi backed away. "Sonic…Sonic…!" He dropped to his knees. "How…how could this happen…?!"

"What…what's going on?!" Nokia yelled as the others approached.

"What happened to him?" Knuckles asked.

Tails looked at his friend in despair. "He took on so much cyber-energy. It corrupted him."

"Meaning?"

Tails looked down. "He's stuck between realities."

Yuuko covered her mouth. "No…!"

Eggman laughed in glee. "My only regret is that you denied me the pleasure of finishing you off, rodent!"

"This can't be happening…" Takumi whimpered. "It…can't…"

Rapidmon Armor and the rest of Takumi's Digimon watched sadly. "Takumi… Sonic…"

Mirei stepped forward. "An honorable sacrifice. But it seems this was inevitable."

Everyone looked at her. "What are you talking about?" Nokia asked.

"Mirei…" Takumi looked up and glared at her. "You KNEW this was going to happen, didn't you?"

"That hedgehog claimed we could choose our destiny. But it some fates cannot be escaped from so easily. I will grant that he succeeded in what he set off to do." She took out her laptop. "In any case, I have the program to extract Bagramon's data from you Takumi. Let us act swiftly before it destroys you."

"Th-that's right!" Nokia ran over and grabbed Takumi's arm. "Come on, hurry!"

Takumi looked away gritting his teeth. "Get ahold of yourself!" Arata yelled. "We can't lose you again!"

"Takumi, please…" Yuuko said. "Don't make us mourn another friend…"

Takumi growled as he got up and slowly approached Mirei. The woman started typing. "System check complete. Transferring in three…two…one…" She pressed one more key and a blue orb flowed in front of her. It started glowing.

Takumi grunted as purple aura glowed around him. Black mist started flowing out of his body and into it. "Ah…AGH!"

"Takumi!" His friends yelled.

Eggman watched curiously. "What's going on here?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Takumi screamed in pain as the aura grew brighter.

The Royal Knights stood before King Drasil. "Surly there is another way!" Magnamon protested.

"There is not." Gallantmon shook his head. "We searched all possibilities."

"I can feel Bagramon's data twisting inside me…" Omnimon said. "It's only a matter of time before the three of us are driven to madness."

"We cannot allow ourselves to be the next threat to this world." Imperialdramon said. "King Drasil detected a form of cyber space in a distant world. From what we can gather, it has been shut down for a remarkably long time. Most likely forgotten by now. I will use the Omni Sword with King Drasil's power to slit open a hole to this dimension. Then the three of us will seal ourselves within that network. As long as it stays offline, Bagramon will never rise again."

As the aura died down Takumi started to collapse. His friends ran over and caught him. "Takumi, are you alright?!" Knuckles asked.

"Ha…ha…" Takumi weakly looked up as Nokia, Arata and Yuuko held him us. The orb in front of him was now black and floated over to Mirei's palm. "Is…that…?"

"The complete data of Bagramon." Mirei smirked at Takumi. "Well done Cyber Sleuth. I knew you of all people could do this."

"…So, what happens now?" Tails asked.

"Now, I can accomplish what I set off to this world to do."

"Huh?" Nokia stared at her. "I thought you were here to help Takumi defeat the fallen knights."

"That was stage one. What I required from the Cyber Sleuth." Mirei smiled. "And you performed excellently, Takumi Aiba. You and Sonic. Sorry to make you do all the heavy lifting, but you see…when we finally found out where the ancient knights that sealed Bagramon were, we started looking into how to come to this world. But as this world exists primarily on a physical plain traveling here proved to be…difficult." She looked up to the Eggmobile. "Thankfully a certain foolish scientist just so happened to activate Cyber Space, allowing digital existence on these Islands. That helped a great deal."

"What?" Eggman scowled.

Mirei then looked back at Takumi. "But even then, coming here from the Digital World required one to relinquish a great deal of their power. So even if we did come here ourselves, we would stand no chance against the fallen Royal Knights." She shrugged. "So needless to say, we were completely lost on what to do. Then I remembered… a certain human who proved a thorn in our side. One who might be of use to us."

"What are you talking about…?" Yuuko asked.

"First, I needed Takumi to come to this world, so I hacked Kamishiro's server to send data to create a powerful engine that can open small gaps to this world. Saturo thought it was capable of bringing digital forms to life, but when he activated it, I hacked it to rewrite its primary program, so the Digital Waves formed a wormhole connecting to this Cyber Space. You, Arata and Nokia getting sucked in wasn't my intention, but the important thing is that Takumi escaped Cyber Space and came to the islands. Then I made a small gateway from the Digital World to this one where I knew his Digimon would sense him."

"That hole we saw…" Craniamon muttered.

"I knew you three would gladly revert to a weaker stage to see your precious human again." Mirei grinned. "It was a good thing we sealed off Alphamon in the space between dimensions while she was playing around with King Drasil and the remains of the Eaters."

"What?! YOU did that to Alphamon?!" Takumi gasped. "Why?!"

"Not only did that mean she was out of the way, but I could use her predicament to motivate you. "Two birds with one stone" as they say. I also know humans have the power to grant strength to Digimon and make the Digivolve swiftly. I decided to use that power to my advantage."

"What…?" Rosemon Burst Mode gasped. "Are you saying you set this all up? Just to get us to destroy the fallen Royal Knights?!"

Mirei chuckled. "You have my sincerest gratitude. Thanks to you the complete power of Bagramon is now in my hands. Our plans can proceed to the next stage."

"Just what are your plans?!" Knuckles asked.

"To finish what I started." She heard something and looked up. "Hmm?"

TyrantKabuterimon and MetalSeadramon flew towards the tower. As they got close Keisuke and PileVolcamon jumped down. "Guys!"

"K-Keisuke?!" Nokia asked.

"So, it's true…" Arata murmured.

Eggman looked at the Digimon. "Are these more copies you created Sage?"

"No…I never created more…and even then, they wouldn't exist outside of Cyber Space…are these…Keisuke's real Digimon?"

"Takumi!" Keisuke yelled. "That's not Mirei!"

Takumi looked at him. "What!?"

The woman smiled at the hacker. "So, you finally figured it out."

A white and black Digimon flew over carrying Mirei. When the woman landed everyone looked at her. "What's going on?!" Nokia asked.

"Mastemon!" Craniamon gasped.

"And…another Mirei?!" Amy asked. "What is this?!"

Mirei looked at the orb her replica held. "We're too late…"

The other woman laughed. "Indeed. Honestly for someone who loved to brag about her ability to see all your timing is laughably poor. You should be ashamed of yourself."

Mirei glared. "What are you going to do with Bagramon's data?"

"That will come into play soon. First things first though. I needed more than data to complete my program from Doctor Eggman's Eggnett. I also wanted to confirm a possibility. I just needed to grab something the hedgehog dropped." She snapped her fingers and seven gems appeared orbiting around her.

"What?!" Eggman leaned forward.

"Those are…" Tails gasped.

"The Chaos Emeralds!" Knuckles finished.

"What are you going to do…?!" Takumi shuddered.

The woman dropped her laptop that turned into blue pixels when it hit the ground and floated with the Emeralds. "I learned something fascinating from the Eggnett. Unlimited energy isn't the only power these Emeralds hold. They also have the ability to alter the fabric between dimensions. These are exactly what I need to carry out my goals. And I also learned of the technique to harness this power."

"Wait…" Eggman gritted his teeth. "You don't mean…!"

The woman held up her hand as the Emeralds glowed and spun faster. "Chaos…Control!" A bright light engulfed everything. Everyone yelled as they were blinded.

When it started to die down everyone gasped as they looked up. The sky was split in two. In one half they saw a giant city. In the other a lush jungle. "What…what is that?!" Knuckles gapped.

Eggman looked at the screen in his Eggmobile. "These wavelengths… Dimensions on the verge of colliding with ours!"

Amy, Tails and Knuckles looked at him. "What?!"

"That's…" The three stared at Keisuke as he and his friends stared at the sky. "Tokyo…"

"Tokyo?" Tails asked. "Wait…if you recognize it…"

"That city…is our world!" Arata replied.

"That's not all…" Nokia added. "I recognize that forest…"

"No mistaking it!" PileVolcamon glared. "It's the Digital World!"

Kyoko sighed as she looked at her monitor. She was so busy working in her office she didn't even notice the mass panic outside. "Still nothing…even after hacking into Kamishiro to learn more about the EDEN Engine…" She rested her head in her hands.

"Ugh… Dad, this is just too hard for me!"

"Kyoko, do not be so quick to give up. If you want to be a detective like me, you must be persistent. Even if it looks like it's impossible, you must keep searching."

As she thought about her father, Kyoko looked up at the agency's moto where it was hung up. "…No. I can't let it end like this. This isn't where Takumi's story ends."

"That's right."

Kyoko shot up when she heard a voice echo. "Wha…! Who…?"

"Fate will not give up on that child… And neither should you."

Kyoko noticed the voice coming from her TV screen. She slowly walked over to it. On the static screen something was starting to appear. "What is this…?"

"The time has come Kyoko Kuremi. The wheel of fate is turning once more. And both of us are once again required." The being in the fuzzy screen reached her hand forward. "We must once again…become one."

Something about this voice felt… familiar to Kyoko. The detective slowly put her hand onto the screen. She gasped as it started to glow. She tried to back away, but her hand was stuck on the screen. "Ah…Ah!" Yellow light enveloped her as she felt something flow into her. 0s and 1s flashed in her eyes as memories started pouring in uncontrollably. When it was all over, she stumbled backwards, panting while hanging her head low as she dropped to her knees.

The bell rang as Matayoshi ran in with Date. "Kyoko, did you look outside?!"

"You gotta know something right?!" Date yelled. "Speak up or I'll arrest ya!"

"Date, not now!" the older detective growled. "Kyoko, we need to…Kyoko? What's wrong?"

Kyoko slowly stood up. "…Matayoshi…it's time."

"Time for what?"

"This draws the end of another long blank." She walked to the door. "I have something I need to do." She took her leave.

Date and Matayoshi stared as she left. "Ugh, what's with her? I knew that lady was always fishy, but this is just…weird."

"Kyo-Kyo…" Matayoshi muttered. "Don't do anything careless."

Everyone's eyes remained on the sky. "What is this madness!?" Arata shouted.

Sage gapped at the sight then turned to the woman with the Chaos Emeralds. She held her hand forward as it started to glow. The real Mirei looked up. "Mastemon! Close those rifts!"

The black and white Digimon lifted her hands. The summoned light that she combined into one and threw into the sky. But it dispersed doing nothing. "The distortion is too strong! I can't do anything about it!"

"She used Chaos Control just like that?" Amy asked.

"Well, between Sonic, Shadow, Metal Sonic, Silver, and Black Doom, we've seen many pepole use it out of sheer will…" Knuckles muttered. "But to use the Emerald's power to this extend on the first go…"

The woman holding the Emeralds laughed maniacally. "I have done it! Once again, the two worlds link! And this one shall be the bridge that connects them!"

"This was your plan from the start?" Keisuke asked. "To connect the human and Digital Worlds?"

Takumi gritted his teeth. "Who are you?!"

The woman cackled. "I can feel the essence of the Digital World leaking into this one. I had lost nearly all of my power coming here. But with the Chaos Emeralds, I can once again claim my true form!" The Emeralds spun around the woman and in a pink flash she became a Digimon in pink and gold armor leaving red petals in her wake.

Everyone gasped at the sight. "It can't be!" Nokia gasped.

Yuuko clutched her fists. "You…!"

"I saw her in Takumi's memories!" Tails said.

Keisuke remembered this form as well. "The Digimon that took Rie Kishibi's body…!"

The Royal Knight chuckled. "Ah, yes, I do remember a number of your faces. But this is the first time some of you have met me, isn't it? Allow me to introduce myself." She held up a rose. "I am the lord of the Knightmons, made from a deviant Virus Type among the Royal Knights! My name is Crusadermon! I shall snatch the shining rose of victory!"

"Crusadermon…!" Takumi growled.

"That's impossible!" Keisuke yelled. "I saw in Takumi's memories! He and Yuuko defeated you!"

"Have you forgotten?" Eggman asked. "When Takumi and his friends stopped the Eaters, both your worlds reset to a point where they never interacted. That means the whole mess never happened and therefore Crusadermon was never destroyed."

"Correct." Crusadermon replied. "Alas, unlike the humans in your world, us Digimon retained our memories of the incident. That includes my memories of what the Eaters have done to our world. And what you worms did to me…!"

"You had that coming after everything you did!" Tails glared.

"Besides, the Eaters don't exist anymore!" Keisuke added. "The damage has been undone! There's no need for you to cause trouble anymore!"

"Silence!" Crusadermon boomed. "You don't know what you speak of! Just because the Eaters have been undone doesn't change the fact that you humans have caused us pain and suffering beyond words! And as long as your precious EDEN exists there is always a chance the tragedy can be repeated! "Why did you disguise yourself as Mirei?!" Rapidmon Armor asked.

"So, I could manipulate you fools more easily of course." Crusadermon turned to Mirei. "I should really thank you Mirei Mikagura. You were the perfect choice to control Takumi Aiba. Let's face it, between the issue with his and Sonic's friends to the voice in the sky there were far too many questions he asked that I could not answer. Yet I didn't need to if I just played up the arrogance like you did with him and it wouldn't raise any suspicion. And after all you bragged about your ability to see the future yet refused to act on it yourself, how could the boy not be convinced everything would work out if I faked confidence like that?"

Mirei glared at her. "You know nothing of the role I played."

Crusadermon laughed. "And clearly neither do you. Your, ability to "see all" was a gift of limitless potential. Yet you wield it with no imagination or seriousness whatsoever while using it to toy with others like a child. And for that, I thank you. Your foolish arrogance provided me with a golden opportunity. And Doctor Eggman's was the silver platter that served it to me!" Mirei just growled as the knight laughed. "Once again, the stupidity of humans ironically proved a boon for me. And mankind will pay for their folly with their lives!"

Takumi stood up. "I…I won't let you!" He stepped forward. Then he fell back to his knees. "AH!"

Everyone turned to him. "Takumi?!" Nokia was the first to rush to his side. Arata and Yuuko were right behind her. "What's wrong?!"

"AGH!" Takumi's hands went right to his head. "It…hurts…!"

"What is it?!" Craniamon asked as his Digimon looked at him.

"Is…is Bagramon's data still affecting him?!" Rapidmon Armor asked.

"But we just removed it!" Rosemon Burst Mode exclaimed.

"It seems holding it for so long has already caused his Mental Data to degrade too much." Crusadermon laughed. "He is not long for this world."

"No…" Nokia whimpered. "No, that can't be!"

"Ah… AAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Takumi screamed as he felt his consciousness fading.

"TAKUMI!" his Digimon shouted.

Nokia grabbed his shoulders. "Takumi don't you dare go on us again you jerk! We're all going home together! You hear me!?"

"Get ahold of yourself!" Arata yelled kneeling to him. "I…I can't leave you behind! I just can't!"

"Takumi please…" Yuuko whimpered running up to them. "You promised we'd return home together an make an EDEN for humans and Digimon…!"

"Takumi, no!" Amy cried.

"Takumi!" Keisuke shouted.

The boy weakly looked up at his friends. Evreything slowly started to go black as his mind faded. "I'm…sorry…"

Everyone watched as his eyes closed and his body went limp in Nokia and Arata's arms. "Takumi…?" Nokia's eyes teared up. "Takumi!" She started shaking him. "No, wake up! Takumi!"

"No…" Arata yelled. "No, not you! Come one, open your eyes! OPEN YOUR EYES!"

Yuuko dropped to her knees. "Ta…ku…mi… why…?"

Keisuke put on his visor. "His Mental Data…it's…gone…"

"What do you mean gone?!" Knuckles asked.

"It's just as Sage predicted…his mind couldn't take on that data…"

Nokia squeezed her eyes shut. "TAKUMIIIIIII!" As she screamed into the sky she Arata and Yuuko started crying.

Crusadermon laughed. "Ha, ha, ha, ha! To think your own foolishness would be your end! A fitting conclusion to the human filth you are!"

"No!" Tails gapped.

Amy dropped to her knees. "Oh, Takumi…"

Knuckles squeezed his fists before turning to the knight responsible for this tragedy. "CRUSADERMON!" He roared as he jumped up at her to throw a punch.

"Fist of Athena!" Crusadermon countered with a hit of her own that sent the Echidna to the ground.

"Knuckles!" Amy and Tails ran over to help their friend up.

"You'll pay…" Rapidmon Armor growled. "You'll pay for this with your life!" He Rosemon Burst Mode and Craniamon roared as they charged at her.

Curusadermon's ribbons slashed wildly at them. "Spiral Masquerade!" The three guarded the attack but were pushed back.

"The Emeralds are giving her more power!" Mirei exclaimed.

Eggman scowled. "Sage, do something!"

"94%..."

"What?"

"Now our forces will cross to the human world once more and destroy you fools once and for all!" Crusadermon laughed. "And with these Chaos Emeralds and Bagramon's power, none will oppose us!"

100%!" Sage's hand glowed brighter as it was held towards the Emeralds. "I won't let you!"

The Chaos Emeralds started spinning. "What's this?" Crusadermon watched them fly over her then take off. "What?!"

"Where are the Emeralds going?" Keisuke asked.

"To the final island." Sage replied.

Eggman then put it together. "Ah ha! I see! Very well done, Sage!"

Everyone looked at him. "Why? What'd she do?" MetalSeadramon asked.

Eggman stroked his mustache. "The Ancients programed their technology to draw in the Chaos Emeralds! Sage rebooted the systems on the island causing them to get pulled in like magnets and away from pinky here."

Crusadermon glared at Sage. "Why you…!"

"You may have learned a few things of the Chaos Emeralds from watching Sonic and spying into the Eggnett." Sage said. "But I am programed with all of the Doctor's knowledge on them and have glimpsed into the Ancient's use of them."

"And not only did these visions we've been having reveal that the Chaos Emeralds share the same origin as the Ancient's, but I have far more experience on harnessing their power then you." Eggman added.

"Hmph. Well played." Crusadermon scoffed. "No matter. I still have Bagramon's power. And the door of judgment has opened. Everything is in motion…nothing can stop it!" She swung her arm and a bright pink light blinded everyone.

"Gah!" Knuckles growled.

"Crusadermon!" Keisuke yelled.

The knight laughed as she flew away while the glow died down. "…Now what do we do?" TyrantKabuterimon asked.

"Takumi…" Everyone turned to Nokia as she, Arata and Yuuko held their friend's unconscious body sobbing.

"Takumi… Why…?" Rosemon Burst Mode covered her eyes.

"I… I failed you Takumi…" Rapidmon Armor's voice started to crack as his eyes squeezed shut. "I should have… protected you…!" Craniamon's hands squeezed into shaking fists.

"Takumi… Nokia… Arata… Yuuko…" Keisuke looked at them. His Digivice started beeping as he gasped at what he saw. "Oh no…"

"Now what?" Knuckles groaned.

Keisuke turned to Sage. "Sage! It's coming out!"

The A.I. gasped then flew up to Eggman. "We must get you back into Cyber Space! Immediately!"

"I just got out!" Eggman objected. "That was the whole point!"

"I ran millions of simulations! The only way I can keep you alive is if you're not here when it gets out!"

"When what gets out?"

Everyone looked up at the sound of a groaning roar. "W-what was that…?!" Nokia shuddered.

"That voice…" Rosemon Burst Mode scowled.

There was static in the air. "Since time immortal I have languished here." the voice in the sky bellowed in a distorted voice.

"Is that…the voice Takumi and Sonic were hearing…?" Arata asked.

Keisuke shivered. "The great evil sealed away by the Ancients… the one who wiped out their planet…!"

"The locks are broken. Now I shall tear down the walls between dimensions and consume all."

"What?!" Yuuko gasped.

"No. No you don't!" Eggman glared. "I'll mobilize the Egg Fleet and blow you out of the sky! Then Crusadermon will be next!"

"Use your head old man." Mirei scoffed. "This thing triumphed over the Ancient's technology when they had the Chaos Emeralds and a better understanding of their power! Do you really think any man-made weapon can best this terror?"

Sage flew up to her creator. "She's right! It won't be enough! My simulations show a success rate of zero percent!"

"Curse it…!" Craniamon growled before screaming. "CURSE IT ALL!" Everyone looked at him as he shook. "…We couldn't save Takumi or Sonic… and we allowed Crusadermon and this voice to run free! Curse our powerlessness…!"

Everyone looked at Takumi and Sonic. "Is there… really nothing we can do…?" Keisuke asked. "Everything…all our worlds… is this really the end…?"

Kyoko's car sped down the highway and got closer to the hole in the sky. "It's not over yet. This… is the new beginning!" She pulled a lever. "HAAAAAA!" She and her car were engulfed with golden light that flew into the hole in the sky.

Mirei felt something and looked at the distorted sky. She pulled up her laptop. "This is…!"

"Oh, come on, what NOW!?" Knuckles asked. "Don't we have enough problems?!"

A golden light caught everyone's attention as it few out of the human world half of the sky and it sped towards them. Everyone watched as it got closer. They panicked. But then it stopped in front of them. And they saw a Digimon in black armor with golden wings. "This is…!" Tails recognized this being from the visions.

"Alpha…mon…?" Nokia muttered.

The Digimon laughed. "It seems fate has brought us all together once more."

And the 13th Royal Knight returns. Just have some more plot exposition before we wrap up this island.
