previously: Naruto was slowly beginning to realize that his feelings for Sasuke might be something more than he realized, and when Tsunade suggested he go on a mission with Sasuke, he jumped at the chance to get away from it all. Sasuke, meanwhile, is still stuck wondering what the heck was going on with Naruto, and fears it might have something to do with his own hidden feelings for Naruto. Both their families are unsettled.

disquiet

Not long after they left Konoha, Naruto picked up speed. "Race ya to the village!"

The village of Dew, a Fire Country village that shared the border with the Rain Country, was easily a day's journey, and that was without breaks. For the idiot to be able to do that when he'd been working a desk job for the last few years, was going to be a task, as much as he may have trained in between.

"You're not going to last half a day at that pace," Sasuke said.

Putting forth a burst of chakra, Naruto sped ahead, looking back with a stuck-out tongue. "Watch me."

What a child, Sasuke thought. No wonder Boruto had little respect for him.

Nevertheless, Sasuke also sped up, and they raced through the forest, trees whipping past them in a blur of green and brown. With the wind on his face and his heart pumping adrenaline throughout his body, Sasuke felt more alive than he remembered feeling in years.

If only Naruto had nothing to do with it.

As Sasuke predicted, around midday, barely halfway to the village, they stopped. Naruto was hunched over a stream, out of breath, and drinking enough water to fill a small pond.

Sasuke snorted. "All those years sitting behind a desk did not do you any favors, did it?"

"Fuck…you." Naruto dipped his head into the stream and whipped his head out. He shook his head like a dog shaking water out of his fur, spraying water everywhere.

Sasuke stayed well out of his range, trying not to notice how the afternoon sun seemed to glance off the water droplets on his skin, making them glitter.

Naruto wiped his forehead. "'M not as young as I used to be, ya'know?"

Sasuke threw him a sandwich. "Here. Might as well eat since we've stopped." He settled at the base of a tree and helped himself to a sandwich of his own.

Naruto joined Sasuke and they ate in silence, hunger making itself known pretty apparent now that there was food in front of them. Naruto finished his quick and sneaked another one out of Sasuke's pack. That was also gone in another few bites, and he let out a big sigh of satisfaction, his blue eyes soft and content as they looked out into the surrounding forest.

"I really did miss this, ya'know?"

"Hn." Sasuke would have enjoyed the moment too, if not for all the questions still hanging unanswered between them. Though they took a few days to plan the whole thing and transition the work onto poor Shikamaru, Naruto was still vague about the reasoning for this sudden trip out of nowhere. It ate at Sasuke, not being able to understand what was going on in Naruto's head.

Naruto, who Sasuke realized was staring at him with a strange look. Feeling the small hairs at the back of his neck stand, Sasuke kicked Naruto's leg.

Naruto jumped. "S-Sorry."

"Did you want to say something?"

"Ah—well—um—" Naruto brushed the back of his head, eyes looking at everything but Sasuke. "I…wanted to say thanks."

"What for?"

"For this." Naruto smiled. "For letting me…join you. I really…needed it."

Sasuke looked away from the smile, ignoring the way it made his stomach flip.

Stupid dumb blondes.

Naruto asked him, and only him, on this mission that was supposedly for Naruto to get away from everyone. Naruto could have asked Hinata. He could have gone on a family vacation, instead. Away from work entirely. Instead, he opted for a mission. With Sasuke. Naruto didn't even ask the rest of the old Team 7 to join them, for a reunion of sorts, he just asked…Sasuke.

As much as Sasuke—liked—that, he couldn't let himself enjoy it.

Because Sasuke could still sense a sort of wariness from Naruto, something he'd never felt before. Naruto was being careful with his words, mulling over them before he spoke. He never used to do that before, least of all with Sasuke.

Why did the idiot have to ask to join him if he was just going to act so—distant? Did he really figure out that Sasuke loved him? If so, when was Naruto going to confront him? And if not, why was Naruto acting so—odd?

"Mind telling me what prompted this?" Sasuke asked, yet again. A part of him hoped that now that they were away from prying ears, in the middle of the forest, Naruto might be a little more forthcoming.

But Naruto only looked away, smile melting.

It was all Sasuke could do to stop himself from shaking the answer out of the idiot.

It really wasn't like Naruto to not talk. Sasuke had gotten so used to Naruto over-sharing that encountering this…guarded side of him was a little jarring.

A little disheartening.

But Sasuke knew that he couldn't very well force it out of Naruto. Sasuke sighed. "It's fine if you don't feel like answering."

Just answer me before I lose my fucking mind.

Naruto glanced back at Sasuke. "Thank you," he said, shifting. Then he stood up, dusting off his pants. "Wanna get going?"

So, they did.

Naruto was unusually quiet for the rest of the way. Normally, he'd be chattering away, ruining Sasuke's peace to the point he'd wish for earplugs, but for once Sasuke found himself wanting for the noise to fill this strange silence.

It was past midnight when they reached the village, so they decided to camp just outside the walls of the village. They didn't want to raise any flags within the village by going there after hours. Peace might be reigning, but this particular village was suspicious of outsiders for some reason.

It was when they were having a quiet meal around a campfire that Naruto blurted, "I'm doubting my marriage."

Sasuke, who'd been about to dig into another onigiri, lowered it, pretty sure he misheard him. "What?"

Naruto worried his lips, looking into the fire. The fire reflecting off his blue eyes was hypnotizing, giving Sasuke another reason why it was a mistake to let Naruto join him on this mission.

"I'm just…questioning everything," Naruto said. "I don't think…I married Hinata…for the right reasons. And…" Naruto glanced at Sasuke, then looked away quickly. "Nothing."

Sasuke really wanted to know what he was going to say. What was on his mind? Why was he so quiet? What was he not saying?

"I've been thinking a lot lately," Naruto said.

Well, that explained one thing.

"I…don't think I love Hinata as much as I thought I did. I feel like…I got into things way too quickly with her."

For a moment, Sasuke was convinced that Naruto was joking. When Sasuke realized he wasn't, he didn't dare let himself think too deeply about the implications of that.

"What…" Sasuke's voice came out thick, and he cleared his throat before continuing, "What made you realize that you don't love her as much? Did you two…fight?" Despite his efforts, Sasuke felt something frighteningly like hope slither through a tiny crack in his heart.

There was nothing to be done. There was no point—

Yet…

Naruto shook his head. "You know how you were talking about what love felt like for you?"

Sasuke made an effort to keep his expression unreadable. "Yes?"

"The way you described it…" There was awe tinged in his voice as Naruto looked back into the fire. "There was so much—so much emotion charged into it, and it made me realize—what I feel for Hinata, it pales in comparison to how you…" Naruto swallowed, his expression pinching. "How you…feel for Sakura."

Did Naruto genuinely believe Sasuke had been talking about Sakura? Or was he just lying to protect Sasuke's feelings?

No—that wasn't what mattered now. Sasuke needed to focus on the part that concerned Naruto, not himself.

Just how self-centered can I be?

"You realize," Sasuke said, trying to keep his voice steady, "that everyone experiences love differently? The way I love…Sakura…doesn't have to be the same as the way you love Hinata."

"That's what I'm trying to tell myself." Naruto's voice was hollow.

"So…what makes you think you don't love Hinata as much?"

Naruto glanced quickly at Sasuke before looking back into the fire. His eyes were clouded, grey and stormy. It felt wrong—unnatural—to see Naruto look so—defeated—and Sasuke yearned to see the blues of his eyes again.

Even if it meant helping Naruto with his marriage.

Sasuke took a deep breath. "What…made you want to marry her in the first place?"

Naruto plucked the grass at his feet, not looking at Sasuke. "She…always loved me, from the very beginning. I appreciated that. She always cared about me."

Sasuke had to think for a moment to remember what he'd asked in the first place. Then frowned. "I was asking about your feelings. Not hers."

Naruto looked back at the fire. "I…um…loved how kind and gentle she was. How she would never give up. And she always loved me from the very beginning, so I knew I'd always be loved by her, so…"

Sasuke ignored the sting in his heart. I have always loved you, too. I would have always loved you.

But I'm not…kind…or gentle.

Sasuke shook his head. For fucks sake, Uchiha. Get over yourself.

He cleared his throat. "So…how do you feel about her now?"

"Well…" Naruto wrung his hands. "I…see her as important to me. She's still the kind and sweet Hinata I married. And…I mean—we've been married for more than a decade, ya'know? We've spent a lot of time together." Naruto finally met Sasuke's gaze, eyes tremulous with desperation. "She's—she's the freaking mother of my children. That…that must mean something, right?"

Sasuke had to break eye contact to avoid being pulled into those dark whirls. "It does…"

But…

Sasuke felt something unwind in his throat, freeing his airways and letting him breathe easier for the first time in days.

It wasn't Sasuke that Naruto feared. It was Naruto's own feelings he was scared of.

It was that same fear that Sasuke had seen that afternoon on the tree. That evening on the training grounds.

Because the way Naruto spoke of Hinata felt vaguely familiar. And strange.

It felt strange for Naruto to sound so unsure about someone when Naruto was someone who was always assured. Naruto was always a constant, a steady force that was always there, always reliable.

Naruto's feelings never faded, even with time. Sasuke could speak for himself. Only gods know how many times he'd tried to distance himself from Naruto, only for the idiot to just—keepholdingon

And Sasuke was too helpless—too cowardly—to let go of him, even when he knew it'd be for the better.

So, it was strange for Naruto to suddenly doubt his feelings for Hinata—his own wife—like that.

Something must have shown in Sasuke's face, because Naruto said, "That's what I meant. It's not…enough…is it?"

What would Sasuke know about what was enough for a marriage? He knew he wasn't enough for Sakura.

But Sasuke did know that this wasn't the depth of emotion Naruto usually expressed. The kind that would blow Sasuke away like his rasen-shuriken. Naruto's feelings were explosive, a never-ending hurricane that would sweep Sasuke by his feet and turn his world upside down.

The feelings Naruto just expressed for Hinata felt like a mere shadow of that, a fragile shell.

Naruto chose Hinata to spend the rest of his life with, to build a family with. That was something Naruto was supposed to have a lot of feelings about. Yet, the way Naruto was talking about her sounded like something Naruto would say about anyone he cared about—being a mother of his kids aside.

It reminded Sasuke of how he felt for Sakura.

The thought made Sasuke blink. He turned to look at Naruto.

No wonder Naruto looked so scared.

"How do you feel about me?" Sasuke asked on a whim.

Naruto flinched, looking like a deer caught in the light.

"W-w-why would you ask—ask that?"

Sasuke had assumed it was a pretty innocuous question.

Apparently not.

Treading carefully, he said, "How you describe your feelings for Hinata…I thought it sounded like something you'd feel for a friend. I thought asking how you'd feel for a—friend—like me might help you understand it better."

"Oh. Oh…" Naruto deflated. "O-Okay."

"What did you think I meant?"

Naruto sat up straight, not meeting Sasuke's gaze. "Y-Yeah—um—good idea. So. Um…what I feel for you…" He licked his lips. "Um. We've also been through a lot together. We've…" Naruto gazed back into the fire as if that might hold his answers and was soon lost in thought. The light of the campfire danced across Naruto's face, making his features rather mesmerizing.

Sasuke swallowed a lump in his throat. "Naruto?"

Naruto jumped.

Again. That look. Wide eyes of a cornered prey, flicking side to side in search of an escape. It looked foreign on Naruto.

"Are you…okay?" Sasuke asked.

"Y-Yeah!" Naruto nodded quickly. "Definitely! Never been better!" He jumped up and stretched, letting out a groan. "I-It's getting late, huh? Think I'm gonna go sleep." He picked up after himself and settled into a sleeping bag.

Sasuke didn't hear any snores that night.

Before they entered the village, they debated about how they'd disguise themselves. Sasuke shot down all of Naruto's ideas as either too unconvincing (his two cousins on a trip idea), or too complicated (his grandpa-grandson idea).

Annoyed that Sasuke wasn't contributing at all, Naruto gave up. "Fine. We'll just change our appearance a bit and go in as two regular guys."

"Too simple," Sasuke said, unmoved. "We're going to have to share a room so we can exchange information more easily, and this village is more on the…conservative side."

Naruto frowned. "So?"

Sasuke stared at him. "Two men. Booking one room. What does that make one think of?"

Oh.

Why did Sasuke have to bring that up?

Naruto swallowed. "That…we might be…lovers."

"Exactly. This village might not be very tolerant toward same-sex couples, so it'd be easier on us if we went in as a straight couple."

"A…straight couple? But we're both—"

Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "You're the master at it, aren't you?"

It took a moment for Naruto to understand. Then he grinned. "Of course!"

"Just make sure you're clothed this time, idiot."

Naruto sputtered. "W-Who do you think I am?"

Sasuke's eyes flicked to him. "A pervert."

"TH-That was when I was younger! I was a freaking teenager, remember?"

"Whatever. Just get on with it." Sasuke rolled his eyes, his lips twitching.

Naruto found himself wishing he could see those lips curve into a full smile. Looking away, he huffed, his hands moving through familiar hand signs.

Entering the village was easy. But Sasuke wasn't exaggerating when he said that the villagers were weirdly suspicious. As Naruto walked past the streets, he could feel the stares from everyone. It wasn't hate-filled as Naruto had once experienced back in Konoha, but they were just as suspicious. This was the kind of small village where everyone knew everyone, which made two visitors like them stick out like painful sore thumbs.

What was more nerve-wracking though was the unusual closeness with which he and Sasuke had to walk together to pull off this couple thing. Sasuke didn't look anything like Sasuke, with him taking on a youthful appearance, with a much stockier build. He'd changed his hair to brown, and his face was a lot more masculine. While he kept both his eyes black as it once was, he looked nothing like Sasuke.

All that still did nothing to change how nervous Naruto felt walking so close to him. Naruto was pretty sure Sasuke could feel it. He could feel the warmth radiating from Sasuke. Just one twitch of the hand and Naruto would be able to touch the bastard's hand, just a small

No.

Naruto was relieved when they finally found a reputable inn to stay at, but the relief was short-lived when they met the innkeeper. Instead of accepting their basic information, the suspicious innkeeper went on to grill them for more details. 'Why were they here?' 'Were they married?' 'Where were they from?'

It was in the middle of this interrogation that Naruto came to remember that he was a woman in appearance. A shapely woman, at that. In retrospect, this idea of Sasuke's was brilliant. A woman's body knew no bounds and most men thought with their dicks. It was why he used to use it so often back in the day. For a spying mission, this was the perfect disguise. Now to see if he still remembered how to use it.

Tucking his brown hair behind his ear, he leaned forward on the desk, making sure his ample bosom was peeking through his clothes. "Ne…" He looked at the innkeeper's name badge. "Jiro-san…" he said in his most breathy voice.

"Nar—dobe, what are you doing?" Sasuke hissed.

Ignoring Sasuke, and definitely ignoring the feel of his breath against his ear, Naruto widened his eyes, looking at the innkeeper from under his lashes.

"We've had a long journey, Jiro-san. I'm sure a successful businessman like you has just the right room waiting for us."

It was already working. Dude was already trying hard not to look at his breasts. Holding in a snicker, Naruto brushed his fingers against Jiro's. The innkeeper withdrew his hands immediately, but it was too late. Naruto smiled one of his winning smiles and leaned more forward, blinking slowly.

"Please, Ji-ro-san?"

Naruto smirked as the flustered innkeeper shoved a notebook towards them and finally let them sign and check in. As they followed him to their room, he could feel Sasuke's dumbfounded gaze drilling a hole into his back.

Naruto winked at the innkeeper, blowing him a flying kiss. "Thank you so much for your hospitality, kind sir."

The last thing Naruto saw was the innkeeper blushing to the roots of his hair before Sasuke slammed the door on his face, his eyebrow twitching.

Naruto burst out laughing, his disguise melting away as he clutched his stomach. "That…was awesome. Sasuke, this disguise—you're brilliant."

Sasuke let out a puff of breath, almost in a laugh, and Naruto told himself he'd make Sasuke laugh for real at least once by the end of this mission.

Barely two weeks in, though, Naruto was ready pound his head into the wall for his utter stupidity.

What was Tsunade thinking?

Take a break! she said. Go on a mission! she said.

And Naruto did as she told him like an obedient puppy, thinking it would solve everything.

Then she suggested he invite Sasuke along? And he went along with it?

That old hag had to have known what she was doing. What had he been thinking? What was Baa-chan thinking, suggesting he go on a mission with Sasuke? Alone? She was so going to hear it from him. What the hell was she doing, throwing him down another rabbit hole like this? Naruto could have done well without this fucking mission. He could have done well not being around the fucking bastard. Alone.

The mission had started out well. Since Naruto was more sociable of the two, and women tended to be viewed as more trustworthy, he took full advantage of his feminine disguise and took to talking with the villagers to glean whatever information he could, ingratiating himself with the local store-keepers, while Sasuke took to the shadows, listening in on things behind the scenes.

At the end of the day, usually Naruto would arrive first, and he'd order takeout and eagerly wait for Sasuke to arrive. They'd share what they learned over dinner.

Naruto loved having dinner with Sasuke. He loved seeing those little smiles that would curve Sasuke's lips, feeling a rush of pride to know that it was he who made Sasuke smile so softly. Sometimes they'd talk for hours. Other times they'd simply eat, the other's presence more than enough the fill the silence.

As each day turned into the next, however, Naruto was starting to realize just how big of a mistake this mission was.

He hated how seeing Sasuke in action made his heart race. Even when they were doing something as mundane as observing, Sasuke always took it so seriously. The little furrow between his brows, the calculating look in his eyes as he took in his environment.

He hated it when Sasuke would engage his Sharingan. The excitement Naruto had once thought was adrenaline from battle—when Sasuke would usually activate his Sharingan—Naruto was quickly realizing was something else entirely. When all they were doing was hiding and observing a certain location and that red eye would spin slowly, it couldn't possibly be adrenaline that had Naruto become so acutely aware of—

Despite it all, Naruto felt simply happy around Sasuke. There was something about simply being with him that felt so satisfying, made his heart feel so full, even when they were doing absolutely nothing.

It was like he'd spent all these past years asleep, and he'd finally woken up.

Naruto had missed Sasuke so much.

But what about Hinata?

The very thought would bring Naruto crashing down, pulling him down into a thick, churning swamp of guilt. It weighed him down, down, down into a place so dark he couldn't see which way was up.

Naruto felt himself being pulled by opposing sides, where moments with Sasuke gave him a small reprieve before he would remember Hinata and be pulled back into turmoil. Naruto knew it was only a matter of time before he imploded.

And Naruto knew Sasuke was beginning to take notice. Sasuke could always tell.

Naruto knew Sasuke wanted answers, but Naruto kept his lips shut. It wouldn't change anything. It wouldn't change the fact that Sasuke loved Sakura. It wouldn't change the fact that Naruto was married to Hinata, that he loved her and his kids too much to bear to cut himself from them. He couldn't do that to them, to himself. The only option here was to swallow whatever he felt for Sasuke, romantic or otherwise.

Naruto fervently hoped it was otherwise.

He also hoped that this mission would last as long as possible, though.

Because even as he hated every minute they spent together, he loved every minute of it. Even as he hated how the way Sasuke talked made him feel, he loved hearing him speak, loving—hating—the effect that low, rich, voice had on him.

He hated that he could hear the shower going right now, hated the way his mind would just go to a naked Sasuke, completely wet, how his porcelain skin might—

He scratched his head violently. Damn it.

"Dobe, you know what thinking does to you. Stop hurting yourself."

Naruto looked up, about to retort, but stopped. Sasuke had just come out of the shower.

What the hell is wrong with me? Why am I noticing all these things now?

Ah yes. Because Naruto made the incredibly ingenious decision to go on a mission alone with him.

It wasn't as if Sasuke was wearing nothing, unfortunately—No. Thank fuck he's wearing something.

But Sasuke was wearing a kimono tied so loosely it exposed most of his torso, like he was trying to tease Naruto. Because seeing that damp skin made Naruto wonder what touching Sasuke might feel like. Made something deep within his core stir.

Sasuke once again had that look about his face. One that made Naruto feel like Sasuke could see right through him.

It wasn't entirely unpleasant, though.

Maybe he should just tell Sasuke. See how he would react. Maybe he'd be disgusted and abandon the mission and leave Naruto alone. That would be nice. Then Naruto wouldn't be stuck in this dilemma, at least. But Sasuke would never abandon a mission.

But he might go request a second room.

Naruto really didn't like the idea of that. He liked watching him sleep.

Great. Now I'm a creep as well. If Sakura knew…

Naruto shuddered. If she knew, he'd have to make sure to get all his affairs in order and prepare a will before she had the chance to rip him to pieces.

But all this confirmed at least one thing.

That he, Uzumaki Naruto, was deeply in love with Sasuke.

What. An. Idiot.

"Dobe, are you even listening to me?"

Once again, Naruto found his eyes drawn to those moving lips. Once again, he found himself wondering how they'd taste.

And once again, he beat himself into a pulp for even thinking about cheating on his wife.

Not that Naruto would have to worry about that. There was no way in hell Sasuke would—

No. It didn't help to think about Sasuke under him, breathless and pink and sighing Naru—

Naruto's fingers twitched with the need to trace the hard muscles of Sasuke's torso. The pink areola that peeked out of his kimono—

Fuck!

Whatever was stirring in his core tightened, making it ache.

Naruto stood up. "About time." He pushed his way into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him, hoping to all the gods that existed above—yes, even Kaguya—that Sasuke didn't notice. He stared at his boner, wondering when this mission will be over, if only so he didn't have to deal with this.

He felt like a hormonal teenager.

Removing his clothes, he stepped into the shower. He massaged his dick, trying, trying, to think of Hinata. Her pale skin covered with sweat, her dark, silky hair stuck to her face, much like how Sasuke's might—

"Damn it!" He let go, disgusted. He couldn't.

Had he—had he always been like this?

Back then, he'd been too concerned with bringing Sasuke back to think too deeply about anything else.

Fuck, how did he get himself into this situation?

Fuck, this is so not fair for Hinata! She loved him—she'd always loved him, and here he was—

What was he doing here?

He slammed his fist against the wall. "Damn it!"

"Naruto?"

Naruto whipped his head up, panicking for a moment, wondering if he'd forgotten to lock the bathroom door. He hadn't.

"What?" Naruto rasped.

A pause. A long one. Pulling himself together, he breathed deeply, trying to force the heat down. Once he found a semblance of calm, he called out, "Sasuke? Is something wrong?"

When he heard no answer, Naruto quickly became alarmed. Grabbing a towel to wrap around his waist, he burst open the door, poised for an attack.

Except there was only Sasuke before him, frozen. Naruto looked around Sasuke, behind him, and found nothing. "What the hell?"

Sasuke's mouth opened, but he only gazed at Naruto, studying every inch of Naruto's face before his eyes flitted briefly to his bare shoulders, his chest.

Naruto felt strangely self-conscious.

"Uh—if—it's nothing, I'm—I'll—" Naruto made to close the bathroom door, but Sasuke held the door in place.

"Sas…ke?"

Sasuke forced the door open and stepped inside.

Naruto took a step back. "What…?"

Sasuke closed the door shut behind him.

What…the hell?

"Tell me, Naruto." Sasuke took a step toward him.

Naruto stepped back. "Tell you…what?"

Taking another step toward Naruto, Sasuke asked, "Why?"

Swallowing, Naruto inched backward. This was getting weird. "Why…what?"

"Why are you on this mission?"

That—wasn't what he expected. Confused, but slightly relieved, Naruto said, "To scope out this village?"

Sasuke took yet another step forward. "That's my job. Why are you here?"

"I—I told you. I needed—some time out."

One more step. "Why?"

Naruto was afraid he was going to run out of floor space to back away into. "Do I…n-need a reason…for wanting a break?"

"Why just me?" Sasuke took one more step forward, Naruto simultaneously taking another step back.

"What…do you mean?"

"Why…only…me?"

Though Sasuke's expression remained carefully blank, Naruto understood what Sasuke was trying to ask. But he couldn't answer that.

"I—I don't—understand—"

Eyes steely, Sasuke took another step toward him, and Naruto hit the wall behind him, wishing he could melt into it. Disappear. Those eyes of Sasuke's felt like they were digging deep into his soul. Sasuke was asking all these questions, but Naruto had a sinking feeling that Sasuke already knew. If Naruto hadn't been obvious already, his erection couldn't be explained away in a situation like this. He closed his eyes, ready for the vitriol he knew was coming.

Another step.

Naruto could feel him, his breath against his face. He could smell him, a warm and heady scent that had Naruto struggling to focus.

Just one more step and there would be no more space. Just one more step and—

Lips that felt softer than they looked took his, gentle and light.

nosimphere0, oh, I totally agree. There is no chemistry at all between Sasuke and Sakura and there never has been, at least not as much as Sasuke and Naruto. But I really think Sasuke got with Sakura because I don't think he wanted to be alone.. I don't think Sasuke's one to go out of his way to do something for someone out of only pity. Maybe guilt, or as a way to repent, maybe. As always, thanks for always leaving a note and encouraging me :) Hope you enjoyed this exciting little chapter :)
