Chapter 2

Sorry, it's been a long time since I posted an update on this story, but it's because I've been trying to figure out what kind of spells and such Diablo(Issei) will use since he isn't a Caster like Ainz.

But thanks to a few friends of mine, I was able to get some ideas from Fairy Tail and Naruto, so I hope you all enjoy it.

Carne Village

In Carne Village, two girls were still running for their lives until the young one tripped and fell, the older one of the two tried picking her up, but the two knights were closing in on them quickly. One of the knights was about the swing his sword at the young girl, but the older girl took the go instead and gained a significant scar on her back as a cost.

The young girl being held by an older woman looked up at her in fright as she saw the blood begin to leave her sister's body. "Enri..." That is all the girl could say as the knight readied himself to end both of the girls' lives with one swing as he laughed.

"Don't look!" The girl named Enri shouted as she closed her eyes and hugged her only sister with the little sister hugging her back. Enri recalled her father's dying words when he saved her from the knights who tried to kill her.

"Run, Enri, quickly take Nemu!" The man yelled as he struggled to fight back while a woman was dead with blood near her body. "Now, get away from here!"

As she remembered the last words of her father, she then thought. 'I have to find a way to save my little sister.'

The knight continued as he stabbed Enri in the back, which caused the younger sister, Nemu, to look at Enri's face in pain as she began to fall onto the ground with blood soaking the soil. The knight laughed darkly as he walked and looked beyond the two girls; they were surprised by what they saw. Enri noticed the knight stopped; she looked and saw the knight saw a swirling black vortex standing there. Then the view showed what the knights saw, a big swirling portal. "What is that?" One of the knights asked as he stepped back.

Nemu then turned and saw the portal. Her eyes widened as she saw a massive figure step out of the portal.

"A-A D-Demon?" Nemu squeaked in fear as Diablo came out and looked at Nemu's clothes being covered by her sister's blood before he looked at Solution, who came out of the portal next and ordered her.

"Tend to the girls," Diablo said as he looked at the knights, shaking in fear, before cracking his knuckles and beginning to walk toward them. "I'll deal with these humans."

Solution nodded as she began to use healing magic on the girl while Diablo continued to walk towards the knights who were terrified of the monster before them until one of them began to run away.

"R-Run away! We need reinforcements for this monster!" The second knight said as he began to run ahead of his partner until he looked forward at the village, hoping to get his comrades to save him from the monster.

The first knight was still scared of Diablo, as the demon did not even look at him. Diablo looked at the second knight still running before holding his right hand. Lightning appeared within his palm before it grew and took on the shape of a spear, which made the knight next to him worry even more until Diablo held the spear up high before speaking.

"Heavens Strike," Diablo said as he threw the spear at blinding speeds which scared the knight; he saw his comrade look back to see the spear before it skewered his chest, leaving him bleeding on the ground with a massive hole where his heart was supposed to be until he passed out from blood loss.

"Tch. How weak." Diablo said as he looked at the first knight next to him with a cold and bored expression which scared the knight even more until Diablo grabbed him by the throat. "You are weak like all of your cowardly comrades, so it's only best that you serve your purpose. Food for my slime."

Diablo said as Solution smiled in joy as she looked at the knight's face of despair in excitement, like a dog being given a treat by its master before her head and body grew and became even more monstrous, which terrified the knight as he screamed until Solution absorbed the knight into her body all at once before spitting out the armor.

"Thank you, Diablo-sama." Solution said as she bowed in thanks for the meal, even if it was a pathetic human before Diablo nodded in reply.

"Of course. Is the girl alive?" Diablo asked as Solution explained her medical analysis.

"I managed to close her wound and checked the other girl. She blacked out from fear after seeing you kill that first knight. The one known as Enri lost a lot of blood, but she should be fine, thanks to the potion I gave her. Unfortunately, she won't have long to live. Even with the potion healing her wounds, her spine was still damaged by the attack. If she were a demon, she could easily regenerate and recover from this, but as a human, she will probably die in a few days." Solution said as Diablo sighed at the girl's fate before looking at the village.

"Keep these girls safe until I return. The other Pleadies should be dealing with the knights in the village as we speak." Diablo said as Solution nodded in response before the demon walked towards the village.

'I just fed one to Solution and killed another person, yet I don't feel any pain in my heart. Was it because my mentality changed when I became Diablo? Or is it because I knew these men didn't deserve mercy?' Issei pondered as he made it to the village to see the other members of the Pleadies enjoy themselves as they killed the other knights with ease.

"Wow. They are awful." Lupisregina said as she lopped off the head of a few other knights as Entoma sent her insects to feast on a few knights, who screamed in terror as the bugs devoured them from within.

"I thought we'd get a little challenge before they died," Entoma said as Yuri and Narberal killed more knights with their fists and lightning magic until they replied to Entoma.

"Lord Diablo thought the same, which is why he ordered us to secure the remaining villagers and deal with these pathetic excuses of knights," Yuri said as Narberal sliced off the head of another knight before spitting at the corpse.

"How disgusting. He got blood on the uniform lord Diablo gave me. I'll make sure to roast him to ashes." Narberal said in rage as she unleashed more lightning magic at the knights running away.

Some of the knights tried to return to their horses and almost made it had it not been for a bullet piercing their heads immediately. CZ Delta was reloading her gun as she looked at the few remaining knights before sighing at the remaining targets.

"Targets have been eliminated. I do hope Diablo-sama is satisfied with the results of our work." Delta said as she walked over to Diablo as he looked down at the knights, who called him and the other Pleadies monsters, which made him laugh in amusement as if someone had said a funny joke until Diablo spoke to them.

"A monster? You call me a monster when your worms are taking the life of innocent villagers without a shred of mercy? Oh, and don't think I didn't notice how some of you wanted to rape those women. Tell me, do you insects enjoy getting off on asserting your dominance on a weak village woman?" Diablo asked as he walked forward to a knight with blond hair before slamming his head into the ground, which caused a small crater to appear.

The Pleiades were excited to see their lord bring judgment to these creatures that dared to insult their master until Belius looked up and gasped for mercy.

"P-Please have mercy! These people don't matter to me!" Belius said as he felt a boot crush his skull into the ground, which caused the noble to yell in pain until the head was crushed into a small pool of blood and brain matter which made Diablo look at the bottom of his boot in disgust.

"His blood coated the bottom of my boot. How filthy." Diablo said before looking at the other knights and smiling. "How wonderful are my maids? They brought me some rags to clean the bottom of my boots." Diablo said the knights felt fear and despair as the demon before they killed them all by crushing them under his boots.

The Pleiades were in awe of their master until Diablo cleaned his boots' before turning to his maids. "Yuri. Tell Solution to bring the girls she is guarding back to the village. Lupisregina, you and the others inform the chief and his people that they are safe; they gather up the deceased. They deserve a proper burial." Diablo commanded as the Pleadies went to complete their orders, except for Entoma as she stayed at his side, which surprised him until the Entomancer reached out for Diablo's cloak.

"Forgive me, Diablo-sama, but I wanted to stand by your side to ensure you were safe and protected," Entoma said as Diablo smiled and gently rubbed her head before replying to her.

"There is no reason to be concerned, Entoma. I know that you are very sensitive when it comes to feelings and being apart from your sisters or me, so there is no need to be worried about me being upset with you. I'm glad to have loyal people I can trust." Diablo said as Entoma blushed at the idea of being on her lord's special people until she wrapped some of his cloaks.

Diablo didn't mind since he was well aware of the Pleadies being afraid of abandonment due to them being outcasts and resented by others because of their species.

'And to think they were almost at the point they would've sold their bodies just to survive.' Diablo said as he recalled the first time her met the six of them.

Yggdrasil. Flashback...

Yuri Alpha was crying as she looked at the money she could get by working at the bar she worked at until she clenched her fist around the small number of coins. "Tch. Even after working ten times harder than any of those cheap prostitutes, they make more money than me for sleeping with the manager." Yuri cursed as she hated the manager she worked for since he had invited her to bed to give her a special bonus which she refused by kicking him in the jewels, which resulted in her being a barmaid that tended to the customers in the day while closing up shop in the night without any assistance which infuriated her for the lack of actual money she should be making for her work.

"But still...I want to help others. It's hard to find work nowadays because of what I am." Yuri said as she touched the choker around her neck, a cruel reminder of her being a Dullahan. She was always seen as a monster or a freak because of her species, and granted, she tried to pass off as a proper lady, but when others learned of what she was, the discrimination began.

Yuri wasn't paying attention to her surroundings as she lamented her living expenses until she bumped into a tall figure which made Yuri gasp as she looked at the back of the cloak and recognized the symbol.

The onlookers gasped lightly at her for bumping into the demon as Yuri got on her knees and begged him for forgiveness.

"Please forgive me! I-I wasn't paying attention to where I was going! I didn't mean to wrinkle your clothes or harm you, Lord Diablo!" Yuri shouted as she stayed on the ground until she felt a hand lift her head. Her eyes were looking directly at the eyes of amber from the demon before her.

Yuri froze in fear as Diablo looked at her before asking her a simple question.

"Are there others with you?"

Yuri was shocked by the question, but she didn't want to show disrespect for the demon, so she nodded in reply before Diablo helped her up and took her to the slums where Lupisregina was lying in the makeshift bed they had built, but sweated bullets as her fever got worse.

Solution tried using her slime properties to help the werewolf cooldown, but Delta continued to see that Lupisregina's fever was barely dropping. Entoma and Narberal were furious at themselves since they couldn't do anything to help their sister until they saw Yuri walk towards them with Diablo behind her.

"Yuri!" Entoma called out as she ran over to the Dullahan and hugged her until Diablo walked over to Lupisregina and placed a hand on her forehead before nodding.

"How long has she been like this?" Diablo asked as Solution replied that Lupisregina had been like that for about three days which made the demon nod in reply before opening a Gate and picking up Lupisregina slowly.

"Come. You shall be guests at my castle." Diablo said as he led the other six into the portal, which changed their lives forever when their master had not only saved Lupisregina's life but also offered them a job at his castle to guard, clean, and cook whenever ordered to do so. And in return, he would give them unconditional love.

Guess what they chose?

End Flashback

'I remember that back in the game, Yuri and the others were playable NPC's during their story, which was sad to learn that they all had horrible lives from the discrimination, and yet now that I recall those storylines, they feel so...real. Just like with Levia. Does this mean that the storylines I played through were the memories from Diablo's perspective?' Issei pondered this as he wasn't sure.

"U-Um, Pardon me, sir!" Diablo turned around to the one who spoke. The man wore a tiny red hat, blue sweater, white shirt, and black pants. He has brown hair and a short beard. "W-Why did you come here?" The man asked.

"I could not stand by to watch innocent people be murdered. Call it a moral obligation," Diablo said, which made the villagers sigh in relief as the Demon continued.

"Be at ease. This village is under my protection." Diablo began as he walked closer to the group. "You no longer need to be scared, for I mean no harm to your people. I'm not a tyrant who wishes to rule through fear and bloodshed." As he gets closer though the villagers, tensions rise again, and he stops and looks at their faces.

All of them were waiting for what he might do.

Diablo looked at the Pleadies before looking at the village chief and the villagers. "I did help your village; however, I don't do this type of work for free, though. I expect to be compensated for my efforts."

As he said this, the villagers began to release their anxiety and mistrust. They began to talk amongst themselves, and Diablo just watched. 'As I thought, the villagers don't question my intentions as long as they think I'm doing this for financial gain. I do hope they don't try to harm the girls or me. I will not raise my hand to kill an innocent person unless they threaten my family and home.'

'The village chief and his wife believed my story about being an ancient Demon who was knowledgeable about combat and magic but knew nothing of the world around him. They were eager to educate me about this village and the surrounding areas.' Issei monologued in his mind as he was talking to the village, then a handshake between them.

'I do wonder, though. What kind of people use magic in this world that these people would so easily trust me?' Issei said as the view showed the faces of the chief and his wife.

"After I asked about the surrounding territories." Diablo began as he looked at a map of the new world. 'There are three realms. Eden and this village as Carne are part of the Re-Estize Kingdom border.' The flag of the previously mentioned Kingdom was red and black, which had the design of a weirdly shaped lamp. On the other side of this border is the domain adjacent to the great mountain range that runs north and south, the Baharuth Empire.

The empire's flag had the design of two winged lions holding a shield wearing a crown. 'The two countries are on bad terms, to say the least, they hated each other for years, and they often battle on the open plains near the capital city of E-Rantel. There is one final country, The Slane Theocracy, located to the south of both provinces.' The country's flag then showed itself, which was just a blue candelabra surrounded by two leaves on a white background.

'The village chief assumed the Baharuth Empire was responsible for the attack based on the crest of the knight's shields.' Diablo said as he recalled a flashback of the knights attacking the village, while he was in a thinking pose with his hand on his chin. 'However, there is a possibility that the Slane Theocracy staged this event to maintain hostilities between Re-Estize and Baharuth. If I had thought to take a knight hostage for questioning, we would have found out for sure who was responsible.'

The village chief noticed Diablo's silence and then asked. "Is there something bothering you?"

"No, Everything is fine," Diablo assured the chief. "Is there anything important I should know about this region?"

"Let's see, the closest city to our village is the capital E-Rantel. Goblins, Orcs, and Ogres, inhabit the area, but you should be safe if you stay on the road. The adventurers hunt on that land and keep those bastard's populations in check." The chief explained, but there was a part that interested him.

"Adventurers?" Diablo asked as he raised his head from the map to the chief.

"They're mercenaries who deal with monsters in exchange for payment. If you are interested in hiring some of them, there's a guild in E-Rantel where you can request their services." The chief states made Diablo ponder being an adventurer to gain knowledge about this new world.

'If I want to find out more, I'll have to make a home in the capital.'

"And just how big of a city is E-Rantel?" Diablo asked.

"I'm not sure, definitely larger than our village." The man replied.

"I suspected that," Diablo said as he spoke to the village chief about the world.

"Today's mission was a great success. Let's head back home, girls."

"Right away, my lord." The Pleadies replied with a slight nod. Right as they said this, a few of the villagers walked by carrying a wooden shaft. They thanked the group who saved them before they went off. The girls looked at them in disgust before Diablo spoke to them.

Diablo noticed this. "You seem to dislike humans."

"What's to like about them? The humans of this village are weak and pathetic. Just tiny insects that exist only to be crushed on our foot." Narberal replied with venom in her voice as she recalled the humans back in their original world who mistreated them when they were trying to survive.

"Listen to me. Could you show some respect? Act like it if you need to, but I demand you try to treat the humans with kindness." Diablo said as the Pleadies were conflicted by the order but nodded as they lowered their heads. Diablo then removed his eyes from the Pleadies before sighing internally.

'It doesn't feel sincere to ask that of them when I don't have feelings for them either. Must be a side effect of being a Demon.' Issei said as he said this, he saw some villagers around the village chief, but what concerned him were the looks of worry that they wore on their faces.

"What are we going to do, chief?" A worried villager asked as the chief replied.

"I'm afraid I don't have a plan." The man replied.

"The problems keep stacking up," Diablo muttered as he walked towards them. "Village chief, is there something wrong here?" Diablo asked as the chief noticed his arrival.

"Lord Diablo, thank goodness! I was told more soldiers were heading toward the village at breakneck speed." The chief said with worry in his voice.

"Is that so?" Diablo said as the villagers waited for his response. "Don't worry. I can handle this situation, and please gather the surviving villagers around your house. When you are done, come meet me at the town square."

"Yes, of course." The man replied, with some villagers behind him showing joy as a large dust cloud entered the village and headed towards the village square, where Diablo, the Pleiades, and the village chief waited. The ones riding into the town appeared to be knights, but they were not like the ones before. These knights instead wore white armor that had red accents and wore brown leather helmets. One of them had no helmet on, which exposed his face. He had black hair and a short-cut beard. The man looks surprised to find the village and three people ahead.

The man and his group stopped near Diablo and co. and said. "I am the Chief Warrior of the Re-Esrize Kingdom, Gazef Stronoff. The king has ordered me to hunt down the knights attacking surrounding villages. Your people are safe now. We will do all we can to protect you."

"Thank you, General Stronoff." The chief said, which got Diablo's attention.

"Are you the chief of this village? Tell me, who is this man standing beside you? He looks peculiar." Gazef asked.

"This gentleman sav-" The chief began before he was interrupted.

"Don't worry about that now; it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, general," Diablo said, cutting off what the chief would have said. "My name is Diablo. I am a simple Demon who stumbled upon this town while those knights were ransacking it."

Gazef looks surprised. "What?!" He muttered as he got off his horse, which the animal walked off as Gazef got closer to Diablo. "These people would have been lost without you. Thank you, Sir Diablo." The man said until they were interrupted by someone running toward them.

"General!" The man behind Gazef yelled, which got his and Diablo's attention. "We spotted a large army of unknown origins, and it is surrounding the village even as we speak."

Gazef could only grunt at the news, while Diablo only looked distance.

"It appears that trouble is coming our way. Let's make sure we welcome them properly this time." Diablo said as he smiled darkly as the wind blew and made his cape fly a bit while the Pleadies were excited about the battle soon to come.

Time Skip...

"Do you have some idea who they are?" Diablo asked as he looked at the knights on their horses surrounding the village with angels at the rear for support.

"Only the Slane Theocracy can send out this many magic casters at once," Gazef said as he kept his eyes on the enemy. "And they are the special ops directly under the Cardinals. It must be one of the Six Scriptures."

"Even the men that attacked the village earlier?" Diablo asked as Gazef nodded in reply.

"Theocracy soldiers, no doubt," Gazef began. "Looks like they dressed in imperial armor to throw us off."

"As I thought." Diablo said, "Does this village have significant value?"

Gazef turned to Diablo and shook his head. "If you don't know why they are attacking, then I'm assuming they're not after you, which means one thing."

Diablo could only guess what, or rather who, the Theocracy wanted. "It would appear your quite despised Chief Warrior."

"Indeed, lucky me," Gazef quips as he returns to the window. "To think even the Slane wants me dead."

Diablo took another look at the army of magic casters and flying beings. 'But those creatures look like Archangel Flames. Why is a monster from YGGDRASIL here? If the Archangels are here, then does that mean that some of the 'Gods' from YGGDRASIL are also here?' Issei asked himself as the Chief Warrior asked Diablo a critical question.

"Sir Diablo," Gazef began gaining the Demon's attention before continuing his question. "I would like to hire you to assist us in dealing with them. Name your price, and I'll ensure you receive it."

"Sorry, but I have to decline. I made a promise to the village chief, and as such, I will be sure to protect them. I will even put the name of Diablo on the line." Issei stated with unwavering passion.

Gazef looks at him with a smile on his face. "Then I will have nothing to worry about. Instead, I will focus on the task before me." He said as he looked out the window one last time.

"Take this. I insist," Diablo said as he handed Gazef a small wooden doll.

Gazef was surprised by the gesture before he put it in his pocket and thanked him. "You are giving me a gift? I gratefully accept it. Thank you."

"Good luck," Diablo said as Gazef left the villagers and got on his horse before riding into battle with his men. As he and his men headed to the army, Diablo and the Pleadies looked on ahead as they headed for what could be their doom.

"You know that they will not win this battle with those pawns that they call Angels, correct?" Yuri asked Diablo as he nodded in reply.

"Of course. I'm well aware of his situation. The Archangel Flames are simply cannon fodder for beings like us, but humans with limited skills and abilities are in danger and won't be able to deal with them all. That is why we're observing from here. To see what they are capable of, I'm still trying to figure out how they can summon the Archangels here in this world." Diablo said as he pondered and tried to come up with a solution, but his train of thought was interrupted but the village chief.

"Lord Diablo!" The village chief yelled, which got Diablo's attention, as the chief and his wife approached Diablo. "Those marauders are still out there, so why is the Chief Warrior leaving?"

"Because he was their true target, not the village," Diablo explained, much to their shock, before the chief asked him.

"Then should we just stay here and wait for him to deal with those riggings?" The chief asked, worried for the safety of his people.

"That would be unwise. Once the Chief Warrior and his men disrupt the enemy lines, we will make our escape," Diablo said as he looked toward where the enemy lay. "He will cause as much commotion as possible to clear a path for us."

The village chief and his wife sighed in relief, but Issei had other plans in mind.

One that will shock not just the villagers but Gazef himself.

"We will attack them head-on! Break through the soldiers and lead the enemy away from the village! After that, continue to retreat! Timing is crucial here!" Gazef ordered.

"Understood, sir!" His men replied as Gazed yelled out a battle cry.

"Now then. Let's paint the ground with their god-loving guts!" Gazef yells which are followed by a war cry from his men.

As they get closer, Gazef aims an arrow at one of the enemy soldiers, he releases it, and it flies like a feather in the air. But it was destroyed by a green shield protecting the man's head.

Gazef was irritated by this as he could only charge forward with his battle cry, but the soldier from before was ready for him. He casts a spell, and Gazef's horse knocks him off and throws him to the ground. He landed safely, and one of his men tried reaching out for him. But Gazef saw what was coming next as one of the Archangel Flames was coming right at him. He grabs his sword and slashes the angel to the ground, it didn't kill it, but it made it angrier.

"Your a tough one, aren't you?" Gazef asked as the angel ready itself for another attack.

"[Martial Art: Focus Battle Aura!]" He chants as his sword glows for a second, and he slices the angel in half, turning it into golden sparkles.

The Chief Warrior smiled as if he and his men would be able to succeed, but unfortunately, God's Luck wasn't in their favor.

"Wow. Now that's what I call a bloodbath." Lupisregina said as she watched the soldiers get killed by the Angels, while Narberal was annoyed at these so-called enemies.

"Tch. This Slane Theocracy isn't even a real threat. They rely too heavily on the pawns to battle for them." Narberal said as she looked at Diablo, who seemed amused by this somewhat.

"I guess it's time for me to make my entrance," Diablo said as he pulled out a doll similar to the one he gave to Gazef before looking at the Pleadies.

"Listen well, Pleadies. You all are to stay here and protect the villagers from harm. Do you understand?" Diablo asked as Yuri stepped forward and replied.

"But my lord, you should at least bring one of us to watch your back against those disgusting Angels. Please allow at least one of us to aid you in battle Lord Diablo." Yuri asked as Diablo pondered this before nodding.

"Very well then. Entoma!" Diablo called out as the entomancer walked towards Diablo before being picked up in his arms, much to her delight and the other's dismay as they envied their comrade for the honor of being held in his arms.

Diablo nodded at the other members of the Pleadies as he looked at Gazef and the doll in his hands before speaking to him.

"Gazef. It's time to switch places."

"Yes, you will die, and you will only have your blasphemy tongue to blame for it." Nigun began with a smug smile. "Face it, Gazef Stronoff, there is nothing you can do to stop us. Once we're through with you, we'll massacre the villagers, so cease your futile resistance and lie down like a good dog. As an act of mercy, I'll ensure your death is painless."

Gazef sees this, and a smile grows on his face, followed by a laugh. "Is something amusing?" Nigun asked.

"Yeah, your little army. When the man in the village comes for you, it will be a massacre." Gazef can already imagine their defeat if they step another inch closer to the village.

"Trying to bluff me?" Nigun said, unconvinced by Gazef's warning. "Kill him, Angels. Make sure he suffers!"

As Gazef prepares for his final battle, he hears a familiar voice. "Looks like it's time for us to switch."

Before Gazef could blink, he found himself in the village storage house, where all the villagers were waiting for the fight to end. Gazef looked around, shocked to find where he was. "Where am I?" He asked as the villagers saw the Chief Warrior.

"This is the village storage house." The village chief said, gaining Gazef's attention. "Lord Diablo set up a magical barrier to keep us all safe, as well as his associates to protect us." The chieftain explained as Gazef was trying to locate the Demon but couldn't see him.

"Is he here?" Gazef asked as he looked around.

"He was, but he just vanished in front of our eyes. Then you appeared in his place." The village chief explained.

Then Gazef thought of something. He reached into his pocket and grabbed the wooden doll Diablo gave him, and watched as the item itself faded away as if it served its purpose. "I'll be damned..." Gazef said as he fell backward. The exhaustion from the battle finally caught up with him.

Lupisregina quickly got to work, and she began to patch him up with her healing magic while Yuri looked at the village chief.

"Do not worry. Per our lord's request, you and your village are safe. If anything, you should be able to rest easy, so you should get some rest." Yuri said as she looked out the window to see her master prepare for battle, as a hand on her chest clenched her clothes as she wished she was there by her master's side.

"Entoma. Please keep Lord Diablo safe." Yuri said before the chief's wife spoke to her.

"You care a lot about him, don't you?" The chief's wife asked as Yuri nodded in reply.

"Yes. He's why my sisters and I are still alive to this day, so we all will do whatever it takes to keep him safe and stand by his side. And I hope one day, I'll have the courage to tell him how I feel towards him." Yuri said but whispered the last part to herself as the chief's wife smiled at the maid in love with her master.

Diablo and Entoma stood in the Chief Warrior's place, which made Nigun a little surprised by Diablo's entrance before asking. "And just who are you?"

"It's nice to meet you, face to face, people of the Slane Theocracy. My name is Diablo." Diablo said as he knew that it was time for the real battle.

As Diablo faced the scriptures in battle, he then said to them. "I have something of a relationship with those villagers."

"And you come to beg for their lives or just your own?" Nigun guessed as the wind blew and the sun slowly set.

"No, no, you misunderstand." Diablo began with his cloak fluttering in the wind, catching the attention of some of the theocracy's soldiers. "I overheard your conversation with the Chief Warrior. You have a lot of balls, don't you?"

Nigun is surprised. The man overheard what he told Gazef.

"I spent my precious time and energy saving those people, and you brazenly declared your intent to massacre them. I can't even imagine something even more offensive." Diablo said with a hint of disdain in his voice as his chains glowed brightly as if they responded to their master's emotions.

Nigun went from surprised to smug as he replied. "You are being brazen of yourself for a meager warrior, so what do you plan to do?" Nigun said.

Diablo held out an open hand as he gave them an offer. "Offer me your pitiful lives without resistance. Do this, and there will be no pain."

"However." Diablo began as he turned that open palm into a fist. "If you refuse, I swear here and now you will die painfully and in despair for your imprudence."

Nigun was not afraid of this man as he then ordered the Angels. "Have the Angels attack this fool!"

Two Angels rush forward the duo as they stab Diablo in the chest with their spears.

Nigun's smugness only grew. "Is that all you had? I expected more from a bluff like that." He said, but he noticed something off. The Angels were not returning to his men.

Instead, the Angels from what Nigun saw were flailing in the air. But from Diablo's perspective, he was holding the heads of the angels. "Did you not hear me? I said to offer your life without resistance. By the time I'm through, you wished you had listened." Diablo said as he held the Angels heads.

"A trick, yes, it has to be!" One of Nigun's men yelled in disbelief as Diablo chuckled at the man.

"[Physical Nullification]." Diablo began as the angel's lances disappeared from his chest. "It's a passive skill that nullifies physical attacks of low-level weapons and monsters. These Angels are ants trying to stop a God, but I suppose even an ant has a better chance of fighting than you pathetic humans."

Nigun gasped in surprise as sweat formed on his forehead before Diablo slammed the two Angels to the ground, creating a small dust explosion as the Angels turned to dust. "As I thought, they are the Archangel Flames from YGGDRASIL."

Nigun could only sweat in fear as Diablo got up. "You could use magic and summon spells from YGGDRASIL intrigues me. I want to know why they exist here and how you could have learned them." Diablo began as he questioned the Scriptures. "But for now, I'll focus on killing you."

"It's my turn. You wanted a massacre, didn't you? Then be careful what you wish for." Diablo said as he readied himself for battle.

Nigun wasn't deterred and turned to his men. "Don't just stand there and attack him! Hurry!" The Angels flew toward Diablo, but this didn't frighten him as Diablo spoke to Entoma.

"Stay back, Entoma. I don't want you caught in this." Diablo said as Entoma nodded in reply before leaving her master's side temporarily.

"Eternal Abyss!" Diablo yelled as a massive black energy circle formed underneath the Angels before they were each targeted. It exploded with shadow magic rising into the air and consuming all of the Angels in the darkness.

Nigun and his men could only stare in shock as they realized their angels were killed with one spell alone. "T-Th- It's not possible!" Nigun then remembers the Chief Warrior's warning.

"When the man in the village comes for you, it will be a massacre."

His men started to panic; thus, they all tried casting spells at Diablo, but the man himself just stood there. Every one of the spells had no effect. Instead, each spell bounced off him.

"Hm, it would seem they know more YGGDRASIL spells than I initially thought." Diablo mused as more spells were cast. "Tell me! Where did you learn this magic?!"

One of the mages started to panic and launched a rock at Diablo. Entoma saw this and leaped into action as she kicked the projectile and sent it back to its owner, only for his head to be obliterated. "Eh?" The man beside him said as the headless body fell to the ground.

"What just happened?" The Nigun said, unable to comprehend what just happened.

"Entoma. You know that these low-level spells do not affect me, correct? There was no need for you to interfere, much less put yourself in harm's way." Diablo said as Entoma looked up at him and nodded.

"I do apologize, Lord Diablo, but if these meat puppets wish to fight you, they should at least be able to fight me and my bugs. They are nothing but pebbles under a mountain for you to crush under your boots." Entoma said, which made Diablo laugh in reply before he gently patted her head.

"I'm not sure they would meet your expectations in a hundred lifetimes," Diablo said as he looked at the remaining Angel in the army. "Now then." He let the wrapped chain around his left arm fall to the ground before he sent it flying toward the Principality of Observation.

The Angel was wrapped around in the chain as it flowed brightly before it began to envelop the Angel in a dark red flame which made the Angel crack until it was shattered into pieces.

"That's impossible! There's no way a high-level Angel can be destroyed using a simple chain!" Nigun shouted, which made Issei chuckle at the man's disbelief.

"The Chains of Subjugation. It forces lower life forms wrapped up in the chain to either submit to me or else die by the flames of Hell. If you have any other trump card, it is time to summon it. I'm getting rather bored, so I want to see what else you can offer me before I consume your souls." Diablo said in the sense of boredom as he was disappointed in this battle.

'It's similar to a level one hero trying to beat the final boss with no weapons or armor.' Diablo said to himself as he heard the means screams, which intrigued him by the crystal Nigun had pulled out and said.

"We'll summon our highest level Angel!"

His men gasped in surprise. Diablo saw the crystal and began to let a small smile appear. 'Is that? Yes! It's a [Sealing Crystal] that can hold any tier of magic besides super tier spells. So they even have YGGDRASIL items.' Issei said as he spoke to Nigun.

"I must say, I'm rather impressed by this," Diablo said as he drew his sword and smiled. "Now call upon your spell! Let's keep this battle going until I die of boredom!" Diablo said with glee before looking at Entoma.

"You should head back to your sisters or, at the very least, get back to the village entrance. If this is a true Angel, then this battle will get bloody." Diablo said as Entoma looked down but nodded in reply.

"Understood!" She replied as she teleported from her master to the village entrance.

"Behold!" Nigun began as the crystal in his hand glowed brighter. "The shining form of the highest of angels! Dominion Authority!"

As the bright light dimmed above the scripture was an angel unlike any other. It bathed the area in holy white-blue light and brings a slight fragrance. While its head and body are obscured, it is covered with numerous glowing feathered wings and is decorated with royal tablets. At the front of its head, a brilliant divine magic circle is emitted, and it holds a long white and gold staff.

The men gasped in awe while Diablo looked up in shock. "Hold on a minute. You mean to tell me that this is your strongest Trump Card?"

"That's right, I didn't think I had to call upon it, but you proved worthy of its divine greatness!" Nigun said as he smiled wickedly while still holding the crystal.

Diablo face palmed himself as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. "I am at a complete loss for words."

"Regretting your assertion? I wouldn't blame you." Nigun mocked as he knew that this Angel would terrify the warrior, no matter how strong he may appear.

Diablo and Issei, however, just felt one thing as they looked at the Angel. "How disappointing. This is so stupid. I can't believe I sent Entoma back for this pathetic excuse of a joke."

"What?"

"I put up my guard for this child's play," Diablo said. He was expecting something more challenging.

Which he was, to be fair.

Nigun could not contain his utter disbelief at the man's words. His mind was telling him to run, but his rage clouded his judgment as he shouted back at him. "What was that? You can't be serious?! Your lying? Humankind can't compete with its might. I'll show you!Smite him with your divine power!"

Nigun yelled to the heavens, the Angel heard him, and its staff broke as its bits circled the angel. "Dominion Authority is the product of 7th-Tier magic! Nothing can survive it. Now receive God's judgment and repent!" As he said this, the magic circle on the angel's head glowed.

And from the heavens above, a bright meteor shower came crashing down on Diablo, engulfing the area he was in, which made Nigun smile at the man's arrogance until he heard the laugh of a demon of all things coming out of the barrage.

While Dominion Authority kept attacking, Diablo kept laughing at the assault as he was barely even getting a scratch until the barrage stopped.

Nigun and his soldiers looked in shock and fear as they saw Diablo still standing there, unharmed. The Demon looked at his cloak and brushed the dirt off it before cracking his neck. "Heh. Not bad. It was able to relieve my stiff neck."

Diablo said before looking at the soldiers and chuckling at their faces.

"How hilarious. If this were a fairy tale, the great Angel would've purified the evil demon so the soldiers could kill the villagers, but sadly this is reality. Azrael would laugh her ass off at this pathetic excuse of an Angel." Diablo said as he pulled out a crystal and smiled at them.

"Now then, soldiers of the Slane Theocracy. It's time to educate you on what a real Angel looks like!" Issei shouted as the crystal shined to reveal a powerful Angel similar in size to Dominion Authority. Still, the holy magic radiating off its body was more potent than the Angel before.

"Allow me to introduce you to my personal Angel. Castiel!" Diablo said as the soldiers were in awe of the massive Angel before them.

She was a slender woman with a curvy figure and ten wings in total, pale skin, and long white hair, but her face appeared as light itself, nearly too bright to look at. She wore a white dress with a cross symbol in the middle, silver gauntlets on her hands, and a halo.

Castiel looked at Diablo and asked. [What are your orders, my master? Deal with these fools?] The Angel asked until Diablo shook his head.

"No. Show them despair by destroying their pathetic excuse of an Angel." Diablo said as he pointed to the Angel before her, which made Castiel look at Dominion Authority before nodding to the Demon she serves with all her being.

[Understood Diablo-sama.] Castiel replied as she held her right hand up in the sky as she spoke a single spell.

[Wrath of the Gods.]

The air was still as white lightning fell from the sky and vaporized Dominion Authority into nothing, which terrified Nigun and the soldiers as they were both in awe of the Angel but terrified of her power.

"W-Who the hell are you!? How is it that a lowly warrior can command an Angel of this magnitude? You can't be human! You are a Fiend! A Monster! A Devil!" Nigun shouted until he was interrupted.

[SILENCE!] Castiel bellowed out as Nigun and his soldiers were terrified of the Angel before them until she calmed down thanks to Diablo putting up a hand to stop her.

"Stand down, Castiel. It's only natural for mongrels to react that way because they see true power before them." Diablo said before he walked up towards Nigun and the soldiers before speaking to them.

"My name is Diablo. In the past, many called me a monster, a devil, or even more names meant to insult me, but I never let it bother me because there's a difference between us. I am a Demon, but I care deeply for innocent lives and wish to protect them so they may grow and live their life until their time comes for them to join their families in Heaven." Diablo said before pointing his sword at Nigun. "But you are nothing but an arrogant dog who thinks they are powerful that they take the lives of innocent men, women, and children. It disgusts me when men, who try to play God, decide who gets to live and die."

Diablo then summoned his wings and horns, which terrified Nigun as he was too petrified even to move a muscle until a massive crack was heard in the sky, but it disappeared as quickly as it came. " W-What was that?!"

"It seems someone was using reconnaissance magic to watch you from afar; I'm guessing the Theocracy. But my defense barrier counteracted it, so I doubt they saw much." Diablo explained, which made Nigun sweat in fear.

"My country was watching?!" Nigun muttered. He knew only one person with capabilities like that, and he didn't like it.

"If that's all you had, let's finish this," Diablo said, making Nigun panic.

"N-No! N-No, please wait! I beg of your Sir Diablo! I mean Lord Diablo! Spare my life! The rest of these men don't matter!" He yelled, which got his men terrified. The fact that their captain was selling them out meant trouble. "I-I'll give you anything you wish name! I will do anything it takes to appease you!"

Diablo was disgusted by this but smiled as an idea appeared.

"Well, since you are willing to sell out your men, then you wouldn't mind if I change them. Do you?" Diablo smiled wickedly as his chains were spun around, causing the soldiers to panic, but they have held in place thanks to Castiel preventing them from escaping.

[My lord. Are you going to convert these pathetic soldiers into your subordinates truly?] Castiel asked as Diablo laughed to himself.

"Of course not, Castiel. After all, why take them out when they have vital information we can use to learn about this world? If they die, then I'll have Azrael resurrect them so we can learn more from them, and once we dry them up of all knowledge, they'll be my...subjects in demonization." Diablo said he was excited about having new demons to serve his daughter Luna, some undead for Shi, or even some fanatics for Azrael.

Nigun only saw the eyes of the demon as he descended upon them and made them suffer real pain.

Nighttime

"Enri. How is your body feeling?" Diablo asked as the farm girl tested her condition and smiled as she nodded in reply.

"It feels great. My body seems to feel like it was blessed by Holy magic. Thank you, Lord Diablo." Enri said with a bow before hugging him, which surprised the Pleadies and Nemu until Diablo slowly patted the girl's head in reply.

'That's a relief. I figured my Tears of Life, my only healing spell, would've repaired the damage that Solution couldn't heal with her magic.' Diablo said in his mind before saying his farewell to the village and walking under the starry night with the Pleadies.

"My lord, are you sure your okay? We don't know if you were hurt by that Angel who attacked you, so..." Lupisregina said before Issei waved a hand at her concern.

"You needn't worry about the Angel. That Angel could only tickle me, much less deal little damage to my cloak, but I recovered it quickly. Castiel finished it off for me, and I understand all of your concerns." Diablo said as he turned and spoke to them all. "I also trust your devotion and know how strong you all are, but until we know more about this world, it's best to be safe than sorry. If we believe the enemy is stronger than us, that keeps us safe. After all, I'm not all-knowing, but I am powerful. Even I fear the unknown."

Diablo said as the Pleadies felt touched by their lord's words. They realized that he knew that they were firm but wanted to make sure they were safe from the unknown threats that the enemy in this new world had in store for Eden.

"So you used the Chief Warrior as a pawn to test their strength? It was an excellent use of their kindness." Delta said as Diablo nodded in reply before Yuri came up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, which surprised the demon until the Dullahan said three words to him that he hadn't heard from any other woman besides his family.

"I love you, Lord Diablo," Yuri said as she then made a quick move by kissing his lips which shocked the maids as Solution and Entoma pecked their master's cheeks to show that they felt the same as Yuri while Lupisregina was pouting at her master's first kiss being stolen by her big sister. Narberal, on the other hand.

'How dare big sis Yuri steal Lord Diablo's first kiss before me!' Narberal's eyes widened as veins pulsed on her forehead until she felt the warmth from Diablo's hug as he gently ran a hand through her hair. Narberal felt protected and safe in the hug as she then felt a kiss on her head from Diablo.

"I care for you as well, Narberal, so do not think I don't have any room in my heart for you," Diablo said with the same smile that Narberal recognized from that day which made her smile back at her master before whimpering, as Diablo let her go.

"Let's go home, everyone."

"With pleasure Lord Diablo!" The Pleadies shouted as they felt happy to be with their master and vowed to get closer to their master's heart.

"Everyone. I apologize for leaving so abruptly, but I had some matters to attend to. There will be time to fill you all in on what has happened. However, there is a more pressing matter I must attend to." Diablo said as he summoned his sword and placed the tip of the blade into the ground, which shocked all of the guardians, as well as the servants, until he declared in a loud and powerful voice.

"I have decided to change my name to Y Ddraig Goch! You may address me as Ddraig. If you have any objections, stand and voice them!" Ddriag declared as Albedo bowed to him and replied.

"We have heard your precious name, my lord, and devote ourselves to it with unwavering loyalty!" Albedo began as she spoke her master's new name. "Glory to Lord Y Ddraig Goch!"

"Glory to Lord Y Ddraig Goch! All hail!" The various denizens of the garden followed as they declared their allegiance to their new master's name.

"We give ourselves to you. Utterly without any hesitation." Shaltear said with a smile as she was honored to serve her master.

"To the most powerful being above all the Gods in this world and the old one." The Pleadies spoke in unison as they knew that no one could defeat their master.

"Everyone in this world will know of your greatness and fear your undying wrath!" Bellona exclaims with her signature grin as Meli nods in reply.

"Our king who rules over all forever !" Skadi exclaimed with a cold cloud exhaling from her mouth as Levia continued.

"The Demon that cares for the weak and strikes down the real monsters!" Levia shouted as Mary and Haruhime replied with a nod.

"Glory to the Overlord! The Supreme Ruler of Life and Death!" Luna shouted as she praised her father with a smile. Azrael nodded in reply to Venua, excited about the new adventures in this world, and who knows, she might be able to get some more delicious food for her plants.

"This is an absolute order!" Ddraig began as his cloak flew backward from spreading his arms out. "Make the name Y Ddraig Goch an eternal legend!"

The Guardians cheered as Issei spoke within his mind. 'I'll rebuild the reputation that Diablo had back in Yggdrasil here but under the name of the Heavenly Dragon that I was honored to meet in Yggdrasil. He saved me and told me what a king should be, so in this new world, I'll do what I did back in Yggdrasil. Save the innocent. Kill the damned. Explore new lands. And lastly, fall in love.'

Diablo-no, This was the day Eden was given their primary goal. It was making their master's name a legend that would not be forgotten.

After Diablo left for his chambers, Albedo and the other guardians stayed as she looked at Narberal.

"Narberal. Tell everyone what happened in your discussion with our master." Albedo said as the maid walked towards the front and began to speak to them all.

"I was with Lord Ddriag the first night we arrived in this world, and he told me this: 'The stars glitter like jewels. I was sent to this land to obtain those jewels for myself and every treasure that shines beneath them.' But then, after a moment, I heard. 'The most enjoyable now might be taking over the world.' Yes." Naberal said with her ever so faithful grin.

"Hear that! Let it be known here and now that this is our final goal as servants to the Garden of Eden. We will present this world to Lord Ddraig without fail!" Albedo exclaimed, which was met with a mighty roar from all the residents of Eden.

Surprise to say, the new world will kneel soon enough.
