Beta: Old man of the mountain/Darklord331

A portal appeared as two figures stepped out of it and gazed upon the battlefield.

"I'm glad to see you're willing to help me. I was surprised to see another person like me in this world which makes it a bit nice. Apologies for the circumstances that allowed us to meet in the first place." Ddraig said as he helped Rin walk out of the portal, she was amazed by the battlefield that'll soon come to be.

"Hm. It's not a problem. I'm just glad to be working with you again Issei-San. It's truly been a long time since we've spoken to each other so I'm glad we got to meet again in this life." Rin said as she gripped the hand a bit right while also enjoying herself at the moment.

Rin blushed as she could tell that her feelings for the man before her were the same ones that she had felt for him back when the two of them were still alive as humans but when she learned of the game ending, Rin wished to say at least one last goodbye to the one who had saved her when she was back in a dark place.

However, she was too late and due to her being in the game, she woke up to see that she became her avatar, The Dullahan, which amazed the girl due to the fact that Rin was actually a young woman mentally, but her physical body was similar to that of a mature lady which made the woman blush at her own beauty and sexiness.

Heck even Rin was infatuated with her own body and beauty.

Rin was amazed by the strength of her avatar and how she was able to make a name for herself thanks to her overwhelming power but the cherry on top was when she felt a familiar presence near the lake where the Demon Snake of the West resided.

When Rin saw the back of Ddraig, she was in awe of his presence as it was the same back when she played in the game and first met him. She wanted to approach him but was afraid of doing so because she thought it might not be the same one who saved them all those times when she was stuck in a dark place.

Ddraig smiled at the girl as he gently patted her head which made Rin squeal internally while also hiding her blush thanks to her passive skill as an undead.

'He's patting my head! He's touching me! Yes!' Rin cheered internally as the two then felt another portal appear behind them.

Rin was preparing herself for battle until a hand from Ddraig stopped her.

"It's fine Rin. She's with me." Ddraig said as Azrael appeared from the portal in armor that amazed even Rin as she looked at the attire of the woman who looked like she was an Angel of War sent to the battlefield.

The armor that Azrael was wearing was a special armor that was only worn for special occasions such as battling the only guardian who could clash with Azrael on even ground. Her attire consisted of dual blades that radiated holy magic, armor covering her arms, legs, feet, and head, covering the eyes but allowing her to have perfect vision.

This was the Golden Armor of the Gabriel. The armor was specially made to combat the undead and powerful creatures of darkness and when Gabriel passed away, she gave the armor to her most loyal comrade who would use the armor for good deeds.

Azrael was honored to receive such a powerful gift from her mistress before keeping her word that she would use the armor to defend the light and purge the darkness that plagued the world. Which is why the Archangel was shocked to see the armor denying her to harm Ddraig back in the other world due to the armor sensing the soul of Ddraig that he was a kind soul that didn't kill others for amusement like other monsters.

This surprised Azrael as she learned more about the draconic being that was powerful but gentle to even the smallest of humans.

"My lord. I am ready for battle. The Armor of Gabriel shall guide me to victory over Shaltear Bloodfallen." Azrael said as she bowed to her master before she looked at Rin and pondered about their newest recruit.

"Master. I do not wish to be rude toward your judgement but why is she working with us?" Azrael asked as Ddraig expected this and explained.

"This is Rin. She is the Walking Death from the forest near Carne Village. I recruited her to assist us since she will be able to better support you in battle when facing off against Shaltear. I know you can clash with her, but you lack magic to better assist you in your duel with her." Ddraig explained as Rin decided to help better assist her skills.

"It's true. While I am a Dullahan, I specialize in magic and support more than combat wise. I can defend myself but fight back? I need more training, so I'm hoping that after this battle, I'll be able to prove myself and join Eden as a fellow guardian." Rin explained as Azrael looked at her and sensed no lie or deceit from the Dullahan's words and the armor was telling her that she wasn't an enemy which helped her reasoning as well before Azrael nodded.

"Very well but if she is assisting me then it's best, she knows about Shaltear's strengths and weaknesses." Azrael said before Ddraig stopped her.

"No need for concern. I already informed her of what she needed to know about Shaltear. Rin has already formed a plan. You and Rin shall clash with Shaltear while I deal with Luna. It's my fault that the two of them were caught under the effects of a World Item which is why I wish to correct this." Ddraig said as Azrael felt her master's sadness and anger towards himself for allowing this to happen, but the Archangel knew that if she tried to defend him, it would only make things worse.

'Master. I know you believe you're at fault here and even though you say you aren't all knowing, I can tell you wished you had some way of knowing what would happen so you could stop it. It's as you said before master. No one is perfect. Not you. Not the gods. Not even me.' Azrael said in her mind as she looked at her blades and recalled that she had taken an innocent life when she thought she was saving lives and purging evil.

Rin could tell this meant a lot to Issei, so she decided to help his burden by lifting it, just a bit so Issei didn't get crushed under the weight of it, which is why she placed a hand on top of his left hand before nodding as she looked into his eyes which showed power but also hints of grief in them.

"We'll save them Ddraig. I promise." Rin said as Issei smiled in thanks before wiping his eye with a claw before nodding.

"Good then. Go and head towards Shaltear. The two are separated far enough to make sure they won't interfere with each other." Ddraig said as he revealed his wings which amazed Rin as she couldn't believe the power that radiated off his being before the dragon took off towards his daughter in all but blood as Rin looked in the direction of the vampire's location.

"Let's go Azrael."

"Agreed."

The two may not be comrades but they both had a goal in mind.

They wished to save the one they loved from the pain that he put himself through because he believed he was responsible for what happened to both Shaltear and Luna.

The two walked towards the area where Shaltear remained emotionless with her blank eyes as Rin smiled to herself.

"[Body of Effulgent Beryl]." Rin's body glowed green for a moment before she laughed at the sight of Shaltear not moving an inch. "As Ddraig suspected, that unless I pull out an actual attack, she won't go into combat mode, huh?"

'Just like any MMO boss fight. It may be cowardly but why not take advantage of this.' Rin said as she looked at Azrael for a moment. "Sorry for delaying this Azrael but I'm going to take full advantage of this. She'll have to wait a little longer."

Rin then changed from her normal Dullahan attire to that of an undead Caster before smirking to herself. "Time to go all out. [Fly]. [Blessing of Magic Caster]. [Infinity Wall]. [Magical Ward: Holy]. [Life Essence]. [Greater Full Potential]. [Freedom]. [False Data: Life]. [See Through]. [Paranormal Intuition]. [Greater Resistance]. [Mantle of Chaos]. [Indomitability]. [Sensor Boost]. [Greater Luck]. [Magical Boost]. [Draconic Power]. [Greater Hardening]. [Heavenly Aura]. [Absorption]. [Penetrate Up]. [Greater Magic Shield]. [Mana Essence]. [Triple Maximize Magic: Explode mine]. [Triple Magic: Greater Magic Seal]. [Triple Maximize Boosted Magic: Magic Arrow]."

Rin shined brightly as she smiled at this beautiful battle that will soon be covered in the blood of the vampire. "Alright then. Let's get started Azrael. Step back." Rin said as many magic circles appeared under her feet and surrounded her body which amazed Azrael since she has seen this type of magic before.

"Super Tier Magic. Only the Gods are capable of such a feat." Azrael whispered to herself before backing away as Rin shouted to the Heavens.

"FALLEN DOWN!"

"Hahaha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" A similar voice laughs madly, her charming yet malicious voice echoing throughout the area.

Azrael merely looked down at the center of the crater. In it, the Archangel could see that the vampire was unharmed but instead of her black evening dress, was replaced by a suit of red-colored full plate armor which looked like it has been drenched in blood. She now wore a swan-shaped helmet that leaves only her pale face exposed. Plumes of avian feathers are attached from either side of the helmet she wears. Additionally, the chest and shoulders of her armor have been styled into the shape of wings. She also has a crimson skirt-like armor covering her lower body. She also held a weapon in her hand that looked like a giant, bizarre-shaped spear, similar to a dropper.

"Be careful, Azrael! I might think your friend is trying to kill me! Good try though!"

"What a shame. It seems you were able to save yourself after all. I hoped that Rin would've given you a quick and painless death." Azrael said as she then readied her dual wrist blades.

"Oh? Then you'll be disappointed as I'm not so easy to kill, though I am sad that Lord Ddraig isn't here to try and kill me." Shaltear said with a hint of disappointment while Azrael rose a brow and replied.

"You still call him Lord Ddraig even though you wish to kill him?"

"Of course. He may be the one I want to kill but he's still the leader of Eden and the one I made a Blood Contract with so of course he deserves the highest respect." Shaltear said as she then narrowed her eyes at Azrael and Rin.

'I know Azrael a bit since she's wearing the armor that her former mistress gave her which also gave her the name: The Bloody Archangel of War. If I try to fight her recklessly, I'm not going to get anywhere. However, I can tell that the Dullahan is a magic caster, her strength seems to depend on how much MP she had left. If I can force her to use it all, then Azrael won't be able to have the support to back her up. Also, my Pipet Lance allows me to heal myself whenever I land a hit on an opponent. And the amount of HP I receive is equal to the damage caused. However, that stupid armor that Azrael has on will prevent me from piercing her since all I know is that the armor is able to bless her with protection against Dark magic which means that I'll have to rely on my skills to overwhelm her. From what I know based on what Lord Ddraig told me is that Azrael specializes in speed, power, and defense making her a deadly foe who doesn't need magic to support her. For now, it's best I take out that stupid Dullahan as soon as possible.'

Shaltear then started to move as she blitzed out of existence and past Azrael, who didn't seem worried as she took off into the air as massive shockwaves were heard and dust rose high as the vampire get closer and closer to Rin. Normally, most beings would be shocked by the ludicrous speed, but Rin only had a smile on her face as she looked at the crimson eyes of Shaltear.

"Watch your step."

Shaltear gasped before the ground under her erupts and she thrown back by a series of miniature explosions.

"You should be more careful. Before I attacked you directly, I cast the Triple Maximize Magic, Exploding Mine in the area surrounding me." Rin said as she raised her arm as a black orb formed in her hand.

"[Maximize Magic: Gravity Maelstrom]!" Rin shouted as she launched the orb at Shaltear.

Shaltear saw the incoming attack and quickly landed with her hand on the ground. "[Wall of Stone]!" A wall of stone rose to shield her, but the incoming projectile immediately destroyed it before it disappeared.

"[Maximize Magic: Rib Cage]!" Massive bone-like ribs rise from the ground and begin to encroach upon Shaltear but she began to fly upward and managed to escape before the attack could split her into two.

However, that's exactly what Azrael was waiting for as Shaltear then felt her body get sliced in half by the blades of Azrael as she landed on the other side of the battlefield before flicking the blood off her blades while smirking at the vampire.

"Too easy."

SHINK!

Azrael sheathed the swords as Shaltear's body became a pincushion as her arms, legs, and head was severed from her body before the body collapsed on the ground, but Shaltear's head just smiled as her blood began to pull her body back together which made Azrael scoff at the vampire's skill.

"'High Speed Regeneration.'" As long as she has magic, she can easily revive herself but it's only a matter of time as we continue to drag this fight out." Azrael said as she readied her blades once again as she flew towards Shaltear and began to clash with her in the air.

"[Greater Ark]!" Azrael yelled as her body was encased in a bright light which blinded Shaltear momentarily until she felt her arms get sliced off her body by the blades which made Shaltear yell in pain as she felt the Holy Magic harm her body until her regeneration kicked in and saved her from losing her limbs.

"You're really starting to piss me off." Shaltear said as she glared at the Archangel before charging at her with her Lance as the two clashed while Rin was waiting for the right time to make her next move until Azrael kicked Shaltear away which caused the vampire to hiss in pain as Rin made her next move.

"Don't think we'll make it that easy for you to regenerate!" Rin shouted as she raised her hand up to the sky. "[Maximize Magic: Gravity Maelstrom]!" Rin shouted as she threw another gravity spell at Shaltear.

"[Greater Teleportation]!" Shaltear instantly teleported out of the way and right behind Rin, however as soon as she did, she was teleported up high, shocking her.

"How did she stop me?" Shaltear asked herself as three large orange orbs suddenly surrounded her.

"[Drifting Master Mine]!" Rin shouted as the mines detonated, but Shaltear turned herself into mist at the last minute.

"Nice move but not good enough. [Maximize Magic: Astral Smite]!" Rin fired a barrage of light needles at the mist breaking it apart before it rushed towards where Shaltear was located until the mist reverted back into Shaltear.

Weiss looks up and smiles while some blood leaked from her mouth. "Not bad, but it'll take a lot more than that to harm me."

"[Heavenly Rage]!" Azrael yelled as five orbs of holy lightning surrounded her being before the lightning struck Shaltear which made her yell in pain, but she still held her hand up to summon a Purifying Lance before she threw it at Rin, who took the blow but winced in pain as she felt this.

"Heh. A vampire using holy powers huh? Not bad. Ddraig wasn't joking when he said you were special among the guardians."

"Heh. Flattery will get you nowhere. This was made to deal with magic casters like yourself so be prepared for more." Shaltear said as she then summoned two more and three then towards Rin, who took them head on, but Azrael then charged towards the Vampire as Azrael's body was encased in a holy aura.

"[Heavenly Pierce]!" Azrael shouted as she skewered through Shaltear which made her yell some more as she then turned around and summoned her next skill.

"[Negative Impact Shield]!" Shaltear shouted as Azrael felt the force of the shield and was pushed back by it but was unaffected by the attack. However, Shaltear expected this as she began to fly towards Rin with her Pipet Lance at the ready.

Rin teleported away a few feet as she then blasted Shaltear with [Call Greater Lightning] which harmed Shaltear but not enough as she then blasted Rin with [Cast Maximize Magic: Brilliant Radiance] causing Rin to yell in pain as she felt the Holy Magic to serious damage to her being but smirked as Shaltear was then stabbed in the chest multiple times by Azrael's blades before Shaltear was thrown back into the crater that Rin made earlier from the spell she had used to start the battle.

"Why don't you give yourself up Shaltear? You know that even if you somehow managed to defeat us, you'll never defeat Ddraig-sama." Azrael said as Shaltear scoffed at the Archangel.

"Oh really? If that's the case, then why is he allowing Luna to do more harm and hardly fighting back?" Shaltear asked as she enraged combat once more.

Meanwhile, with Ddraig and Luna.

Ddraig felt the blast of magic as he looked at the item that he held in his hand, a small little piece of paper that had a circle similar to his own when using magic written in it.

"I made a promise to only use this when necessary." Issei said as he looked back at Luna, who was standing there emotionless like Shaltear before sighing to himself.

"This is going to hurt me, more than it hurts you my precious Luna." Issei said as he recalled the memories of Luna being a cheerful little puppy that wished to please her father and show off her are strength which made Issei feel like a father watching his child grow into such a beautiful young woman.

"Heh. I guess this is what mom felt when she saw that I was able to get into my first choice of high school." Issei said to himself as he then felt a powerful blast of magic coming from Shaltear as he smirked at this.

"Looks like they've begun their battle, so I shouldn't fall behind." Ddraig said as he placed the paper on the ground which glowed before the magic circle expanded around the two of them, becoming a ring of fire then expanded even more as a barrier formed around the whole area while the ground burned and became ash.

Issei saw that Luna wasn't moving an inch before smirking back at her.

"Well then, let's get started shall we my dear?" Ddraig asked Luna before using one of his chains to fire towards Luna, but the Hellhound moved as she hit the chain with her teeth and glared at her master/father before spitting the chain out.

"So, it's come to this hasn't it father? I won't go down without a fight." Luna said as she summoned her own attire to fight her father which Issei knew all too well since he was the one who gave the armor to Luna.

Luna's body was covered with blue fire as her clothes changed to suit her combat style. Crimson Armor appeared over her body as her arms were now covered in red sleeves that were light and durable, her legs were covered in armor as well before the chest was given a suitable amount of protection until her head adorned a tiara of fire as she looked like a true princess from Hell.

(I tried my best, and this was what I thought would work for her. If you have any better ideas, then I'd like to hear them in the reviews.)

'I know everything about Luna. She specializes in hand-to-hand combat and knows how to fight well with fire similar to that of a Firebender from that show I watched when I was a child. Of all the Guardians, she's ranked around sixth place due to her being outmatched by more experienced and powerful guardians such as Azrael, Shaltear, Albedo, Bellona, and Levia, the Top Five most powerful Guardians in Eden. I made sure Luna could combat magic users, so I gave her that armor that allows all elemental types of magic, except fire and dark magic, to protect her from Holy and Water magic users.' Issei said to himself as Luna got down on all fours before leaping towards her father, who is now an enemy in her eyes, but Ddraig saw this coming as he avoided the pounce from her before Luna's eyes burned brightly as she then blew a stream of blue flames towards him.

Issei saw this coming as he manipulated the flames to enter his outstretched left hand. The Left Arm of the Demon absorbed the flames which lasted for a couple of seconds until Issei held the flame in the palm of his hand before corrupting it into Hellfire which scared Luna as Issei sent it her way.

"Hellfire Bird." Issei said as the flames took on the form of a small Phoenix before it shot from his spot towards Luna, who was running away from the attack before bracing herself for the attack as it collided with her armor.

"Tch. I should've known. Father knows more about my powers than the others back in Eden." Luna said as she used her blue flames to heal her burns from the Hellfire until she saw that Issei was moving from his spot. "He could easily strike me down and yet he doesn't. Why?"

Luna then charged at Issei as she began to deliver a deadly combo of punches, kicks, and bites but all of them were either deflected by Ddraig's fists or simply dodged with continued to infuriate the Hellhound as she saw that Issei was holding back against her.

"Stop." Luna said as her fur ignited with blue flames before her teeth elongated as she began to grow frustrated at him. "Holding back!"

Luna roared as she was successful on the third pounce and began to punch Issei's face and scratch his body, but Ddraig showed no reaction to the pain, as if he was accepting this which the guardians noticed as they watched this from Eden.

"What is he doing? Lord Ddraig should've been able to deal with that little mutt from the beginning." Albedo said as she was worried for her master and was about to head out before Bellona stopped her.

"No. You mustn't interfere with this battle." Bellona said as Albedo growled at her with her clenched teeth and enraged eyes.

"No? Don't you see what we're all seeing?! He's going to die if he doesn't fight back!"

"And have you ever considered that Ddraig-sama allowed this because he feels guilty for what happened to Shaltear and Luna?" Bellona asked as Albedo gasped as she heard this but before she could reply Bellona continued.

"Ever since I joined Eden, I could tell that Ddraig-sama loved Luna as his personal daughter, but I could see that Luna both admired and loved her father so much that she wouldn't dream of betraying him. Which is why this battle is one sided right now. Lord Ddraig feels guilty for not being able to stop this from happening. He may be a Demon but he's a very kind soul who would sooner take a spear to the back for any of us rather than letting us fall." Bellona explained as Arulane nodded as she appeared next to Albedo.

"We understand your frustration and concern Albedo of being here, but Ddraig is taking those hits because he wants to be punished for what he has done to both Luna and Shaltear. He loves all of the members of Eden, so he would do anything to make it right, even if that means taking a few hits for us. However, he will win. Ddraig knows this, that's why he's also getting ready to fight back." Arulane said as she walked towards Bellona while Albedo looked at Ddraig taking a few more hits before letting a tear fall from her right eye.

"Please return to us Ddraig-sama. We need you." Albedo said as she looked at her ring that was on her left ring finger before clenching it close to her heart.

"I need you Ddraig-sama."

"Hahah! What's wrong Azrael? You seem to be losing your composure." Shaltear asked as she clashed with Azrael's swords while being hit by Rin's magic which annoyed her for being tag-teamed until she looked afar to see Luna beating Diablo which made the Bloodsucker laugh haughtily as she spoke to the Archangel.

"Uh oh. Seems Lord Ddraig is having trouble fighting poor little Luna. Perhaps he should let her just end his life for being a pathetic excuse of a leader and father for letting this happen to his daughter." Shaltear said as she then felt Azrael glare at Shaltear in rage before slicing off her right arm which made Shaltear scream in pain until her screams ended as Azrael grabbed Shaltear's head and slammed her into the ground before Azrael began to stomp on the vampire.

"How dare you speak in such a tone towards our master!" Azrael roared in righteous fury while kicking away the vampire before Shaltear realized that she may have gone too far as the Archangel was on her ass like a demon before summoning her Negative Impact Shield and blasting Azrael away making the Archangel glare at the vampire with so much rage, her armor began to shine brightly.

"You're going to regret saying such things Shaltear and know that Lord Ddraig isn't one who lets himself fall so easily. He's only doing this to punish himself for letting this happen to you." Azrael said as she shouted and flew towards Shaltear as she was using her Regeneration to return her arm.

"We'll see. Now come Azrael!" Shaltear shouted as she flew towards the Archangel and Rin, who was ready for Round 2 of their battle.

Meanwhile Luna was panting heavily as she stopped her barrage of attacks and looked down at Ddraig's body before seeing that his body began to heal from her wounds. Luna then looked at her father's eyes and panted heavily before asking him.

"Why? Why won't you fight me?" Luna asked him as Ddraig sat up while pushing Luna off of him before sighing to himself.

"It's because I deserve your hatred towards me. I didn't account the possibility of World Items being in this world and it was because of my stupidity that both you and Shaltear were subjected under mind control. For that, I am sorry." Ddraig said as Luna heard the apologetic tone in his voice before scoffing at him.

"Heh. That's what makes you such a weak leader. A leader must have the power to dominate his enemies. You could easily take over this world with all of us beside you and yet you decide to tend to these pathetic humans and other beings of this world. Taking over the world would be so easy for you so why not do so?"

"...Because if I dared to try and take over the world, then I am afraid of becoming a true Demon that cares for nothing but bloodshed and unnecessary destruction. I would love my heart and soul if I even raised a hand to make myself feel better for my own negligence." Ddraig said as he clenched his left fist and held it over his heart.

"Then why don't you run away? Why continue to try and save Shaltear and I when you could just replace us at Eden?" Luna asked as she wasn't sure what her father was thinking until Issei spoke to her.

"Truth be told, that would have been saying that I don't care for either of you but I am a selfish man, and stubborn beyond measure." Ddraig said to her. "I don't want to run but being here makes me feel like I have fulfilled my role as a leader, however, by allowing you and Shaltear to become this version of yourself makes me unfit to be a leader so I guess you can say it's about trying to prove to myself that I deserve this role as the leader. I don't quite understand why that is. Perhaps no one can. Maybe it's because that, while I held the position of leader, I mainly dealt with day-to-day business and administrating regulations. But, right now, I am fighting on the frontlines for my guild. It may just be self-satisfaction."

"Heh. I really have damped the mood, haven't I? Let's get back to the fight." Issei said as he readied himself for battle. "Be prepared Luna because I'm not hiding back now."

Luna smiled as she got down on all fours. "In that case, I better go all out to make you take me seriously." Luna said as her body then became encased in blue flames as her eyes shined brightly like lights in the dark, her ears became tufts of fire, her claws grew as they became sharper and deadlier, and lastly, fire arced around her body as she was in her true HellHound form.

Ddraig on the other hand allowed the Right Arm of the Angel to become a shield while he used his left hand to draw the sword at his hip, as it radiated magic which made Luna smile sinisterly.

"Come Luna. I shall not hold back any longer." Ddraig said as Luna roared while charging toward her master, leaving a trail of fire behind her, while Ddraig readied his sword as he breathed to calm his nerves down as the sword radiated an aura of both Holy and Demonic magic.

"And now it's time I destroy you father!" Luna shouted as her body became encased in blue flames while becoming a massive literal Hellhound, charging at Ddraig to incinerate him to ash and dust.

"HellHounds Rage!"

Issei then opened his eyes as he swung his blade.

"Yin Yang Technique: Final Judgement."

The sword cut through the flames as Luna looked at her father's eyes crying as he said his last words to her.

"Goodbye Luna. My beloved daughter." Ddraig said before Luna felt her body become cut in half while feeling a moment of relief as she felt her body burn away to ash and dust.

"Hail to my father and the one I love. Y Ddraig Goch. Truly there is no one greater than him." Luna said as she felt a tear leave her eye saying her goodbye. "Farewell father. I love you."

Luna said before her body was reduced to nothing as Issei heard her last words before sheathing his sword and looked at the blue flame that resided in the palm of his hand. The flames that Luna wielded so well that when she fought with the fire, she could use them as if she was dancing until she used them for more destructive purposes.

Issei then put out the flame as he felt a weight being lifted from his heart before seeing the other battle occur with a massive blast of magic.

One that covered the whole battlefield but before it enveloped the three of them, Azrael was able to escape while Shaltear looked to see that Ddraig had survived before feeling her life slip away.

"Heh. Then try defending yourself from this!" Shaltear shouted as she threw a Purifying Lance towards Issei's location, which shocked Azrael and Rin until the Dullahan realized they couldn't make it in time.

"Unless..." Rin then looked at her pocket before clenching the item in it. "I only have one shot so if I die then it's a price, I'm willing to pay."

She then broke the item in her hand as she then saw the Lance right in front of her as she felt her chest explode from the Holy weapon piercing her heart which shocked not just Shaltear and Azrael but also Issei, as he found himself in the spot where Rin was before flying towards her, not caring about the resumed battle of Shaltear and Azrael before he saw the damage that Shaltear had done to the Dullahan.

"Heh. It's not so bad Issei. This is nothing." Rin said as Issei saw the damage to her body. Her body was littered with cuts and bruises from Shaltear's physical attacks while some of her wounds were also due to Holy and fire magic that dealt damage to her body as well since she was undead.

"W-Why did you take that hit for me Rin? I could've been fine from that attack." Issei said as he moved Rin's head to his lap before hearing Rin chuckle at the question before she replied to him.

"In truth? I don't know why. My body acted on its own before I found myself in front of that spear. My first thought was that 'I couldn't make it to save you.' but then my body moved on its own, so I do not mind taking that hit for you." Rin said as she coughed up blood before smiling at him as Issei took her hand.

"Rin. I-!" Issei said before being kissed on the lips by Rin as she smiled while crying tears of joy as she kissed the man, she loved with all of her heart before feeling herself give into her wounds as she collapsed back to the ground.

"I know Ddraig. I love you. I've loved you ever since you saved me from the loneliness, I felt in my past life so I'm grateful for everything you've done for me up until now. Keep being yourself and fight to bring order and peace to others. Do not go down the path of destruction Ddraig. You are a kind soul with a good heart so do not become consumed in rage and despair." Rin said as her body began to become purified by the Lance until face of Rin was all that was left as Issei looked at the face of a smiling Rin leaving only her scythe in place as she vanished into thin air.

"Rin..." Issei said to himself as he recalled the short time, he had spent talking to her, as well as the time they chatted back in the game in their world. He could tell that the girl Rin was going through a lot of emotional pain so when Issei had asked her what was wrong, Rin basically dumped all of her anger at the world and the people who wronged her out in the game which surprised Issei as he learned that Rin was a mere fifteen-year-old girl with a very dirty mouth.

Issei had been told that Rin went through a lot as a child. After losing her family when she was just ten years old, the girl went from foster family to foster family for five years. She had seen many different sides of people which is where she learned to steal, to pickpocket, and use her 'innocence' to act like she didn't know what she was doing which fooled many people over the years until she was able to find a family that loved her and cared for Rin.

However, even after having a new family Rin was having trouble getting to know her new school due to the fact that she had been homeschooled most of her life and wasn't sure if she would be able to make any friends until Issei was able to help her gather the courage to go through the day and suffice to say, Rin was glad to have met Issei since he was a pillar of strength and support for her when she was going through a difficult day. Rin loved her parents but was still glad to have loving parents.

"Even after all you've been through, you still sacrificed yourself to save me." Ddraig said as he looked at both Shaltear and Azrael, who were now on the ground fighting until he picked up the scythe.

"I'll be taking your scythe Rin. That way you can still help me in this new world." Issei said as he began to walk towards the two while Shaltear began laughing at the sight.

"Oh, how unfortunate for you Azrael. It seems that both you and Lord Ddraig have lost your composure. Did losing that Dullahan hurt you that much? Haha! Perhaps I should kill you to make sure that Lord Ddraig really falls into despair?" Shaltear said as she was standing while Azrael gritted her teeth as she knew that she wasn't as focused because of Rin's death.

She could sense the emotions within her body swirl around in rage as she wanted to punish Shaltear for trying to harm their master but also for killing a good person such as Rin.

Unfortunately, her rage blinded her to the pain her body had succumbed to but before she let herself fall to the ground, Ddraig had stepped in just in time.

"Azrael. It's fine now." Ddraig said as he handed a small vial to Azrael, who gasped in shock as she recognized it as a healing potion. "You fought well, and I do not blame you for Rin. She said she accepted the consequences of her decision and so I'll honor it by putting Shaltear into the ground. Rest up Azrael. This will be over soon."

Azrael was surprised as she looked at his eyes and could tell that they had the same fire when she first met him all those years ago. Which terrified her more than the God of Death himself, so she nodded and quickly flew away from the battle while Ddraig looked at Shaltear before speaking to her.

"I felt the effects of that spell Rin cast on you before you tried to harm me. Tell me Shaltear, how was your embrace with death? What did it feel like?" Ddraig asked as he cracked his neck, making Shaltear scoff at the bluff.

"I expected a bit more from her, but I was rather impressed by her magic skills. For a moment, I thought I would share my household's dark fate but thanks to the resurrection item you gave me, my HP is at maximum and ready to go another round, but I had to use my most powerful skills just to keep both her and Azrael on the defensive. I never thought it would've been a closer battle, for being at a disadvantage they did well to get so far."

"Honest praise coming from you? Then I'll make sure Rin accepts it."

"However, I doubt you even have the strength to fight me after killing poor Luna. It's such a shame when a father must be the one to kill his child though you've always been too kind for your own good Ddraig-sama so I'll give you a quick death." Shaltear said as she began to walk towards him before hearing Issei laugh at her words.

"A quick death you say. Did you actually think that the Purifying Lance would've killed me? Do you have any idea of the powers you were gifted with? The same power I earned through my own blood, sweat, and tears?" Ddraig asked as his eyes began to burn as if the fires of Gehenna were burning in them.

"How do you think I was able to get this far and became this powerful? Do you honestly believe you've seen me fight at my best?" Ddraig asked as the scythe began to transform as if it was being converted into a true Hell Scythe. This scared Shaltear as she began to see Ddraig's body slowly transform.

"The only reason I remain in this form is to make sure I never go too far so I don't give into my true form. What you see before you are only my base form. You have no idea of the power that I wield inside of my being. There's a reason why back in Yggdrasil the Gods feared me after I killed the God of Fire and Darkness. The God of Light knew she couldn't defeat me, so she allowed herself to be killed by my hands." Ddraig continued as Shaltear felt the aura rise from his whole being and the pressure from it was far more powerful than anything she felt before her whole life.

"You claim to think that little spear of light could've killed me? Well why don't I show you a bit of my true form?" Ddraig said as his body transformed into that of a true demon, becoming much taller now and more of a demon than a dragon.

Ddraig's body radiated with power as he changed from the warrior to a massive ten-foot-tall demon with crimson red armor covering his whole body before his claws expanded and enlarged with a blood red aura encasing them. His chest appeared to have a strong set of scales that were so hard that it would endure even the strongest physical and magical attack.

Once his transformation was completed, he had the appearance of a red and black humanoid, brutish reptilian horned demon with a terrifying visage, rows of black spikes across the spine, and sharp claws, blood red eyes, red and golden spikes on his arms. The scythe on his hand now took on a form that looked like it was forged in Hell due to being more demonic than it was originally.

(I was trying to use Diablo in his second phase form to showcase his more demonic than his draconic form. If you have a better way to describe it, then I'll happily use it to describe his form better. I'm not the best with appearances.)

Shaltear for the first time had felt fear when looking at the massive being before Ddraig began to speak to her in his new voice.

"I don't enjoy taking upon this form due to my fear of how you and the others would look at me, but I believe that this is necessary to show you what it means to be afraid." Ddraig roared as he clashed with Shaltear's form but the vampire but nothing but a ball for him to smack around as he sliced off her left arm again which sent Shaltear flying for a moment until Ddraig grabbed her small body and slammed her into the ground causing Shaltear's body to roar with pain until Ddraig used the scythe to slice off the other arm which caused Shaltear to cry out in pain until she was sliced in half which made Shaltear cry in pain as she felt the Hellfire was burning her body.

'H-He's toying with me. He wants me to suffer!' Shaltear said in fear as she looked at the massive figure above her and all she felt in her soul was fear as Ddraig lifted the scythe one more time as it became encased in fire.

'I see now. This is why he didn't wish for any of us to see that form. I apologize Ddraig-sama. Forgive this foolish Guardian for disrespecting you.' Shaltear said in her mind as she felt her body became ash and dust as the flames of Hell consumed her body. Ddraig looked to see that there were no more enemies to face but before he decided to burn the forest out of rage, he looked at the cliffside to see Azrael looking at him with a cool gaze as if she wasn't afraid of him in this form.

"Ddraig-sama. Please do not become Diablo again. The Demon created a path of bloodshed and death. Return to us as the one who was a kind and caring person that did not allow himself to become a True Demon." Azrael said as Ddraig met her gaze for a moment before closing his eyes as he transformed back to his base from which made Azrael soar down towards the ground and fly straight into his arms which made Ddraig smile as he felt the warmth of the one who saved him from becoming a true Demon back then.

"Heh. I guess you saved me a second time Azrael. Thank you." Ddraig said as he stayed in this position with her for a while until the two headed back to Eden.

There were many things that had to be done before they made their next move.

Garden of Eden.

The Throne Room.

"All that's left is to begin both Luna's and Shaltear's resurrection." Ddraig turned to Albedo. "Albedo, I need you to watch their names while I perform the ritual. If either of them is still under mind control once they are revived, I have to do the unspeakable and kill them again."

"Don't worry about it. If that does come to pass, we will be the ones to take care of her." Arulane assured her master while the rest of the Guardians nodded in agreement with their comrade.

"Arulane..."

"Please, Ddraig-sama. It was hard enough to watch our Supreme Ruler face such danger with only one of his Guardians and an unknown person supporting him. None of us could not bear to see you do it a second time so please next time you do something like this, allow is to fight at your side. Together." Arulane stated as Ddraig replied.

"I hear you, but-"

"If Shaltear or Luna continue to revolt against Eden, then the Guardians of Eden should deal with her. Please step down, my lord." Albedo cuts in as Issei was surprised to hear this from Albedo since she and Shaltear enjoyed fighting each other a lot.

Ddraig wanted to reply but after looking at their eyes he could tell they wanted to do it instead which made him sigh as he replied. "I understand, then, if that happens, I will let you deal with it, my Guardians."

"We won't fail you. All we ask is that you stay by our side. If you leave us, who will we pledge our fidelity to? Without a Supreme Being to rule over Eden, the Guardians would cease to have a purpose." Albedo stated as Ddraig turned to say something, but Albedo cuts him off.

"Sorry." Albedo apologized. "We know it's too much to ask of you but still it is far too lonely when no one is here."

"... You are right." Ddraig said as he looked up at those banners on the roof. "It is lonely when everyone else is gone." He then looks at his Guardians. "Continue to protect me, my Guardians! Now, let us begin!"

"Lord!"

'Thanks to the Tree of Life, we will be able to resurrect both Shaltear and Luna without any additional costs to restore them.' Issei pondered in his mind before tapping the screen before him.

"Resurrect: Shaltear Bloodfallen and Luna Bloodmoon."

The Tree of Life shined brightly as everyone felt the effects of the tree as two roots extended down towards the throne room to produce and deliver the restored bodies of both Luna and Shaltear as they appeared naked in their birthday suits.

Albedo looked at the screen and smiled as their names appeared.

"Be at ease my lord. They are no longer under mind control."

"Thank you, Albedo." Ddraig said before he walked towards the two of them and picked them both up before calling the Pleadies towards him.

"Yuri. You and the others will inform Shaltear and Luna what has happened to them when they wake up. Their bodies may be restored but it will take about a day or two for them to wake up due to the effects of the Tree of Life." Ddraig ordered as Yuri and the other maids nodded in reply as they were about to leave until Yuri stopped and spoke to her master. 'Back in the game, the Tree of Life was able to revive me and my guardians ready for battle without having to pay any extra costs for the regeneration but it seems that the tree's resurrection ability has been altered a bit thanks to this new world. I need to keep this in mind should I possibly die in this world.'

"We shall but I do regret to inform you that Solution was unable to return back to Eden as you instructed, and Lady Azrael went back to the Re Estize Kingdom. Did you order them not to return?" Yuri asked as Ddraig nodded in reply.

"Yes. You are correct Yuri. I sent Azrael back with Solution due to the two of them being important in the kingdom while we prepare ourselves for war." Ddraig said as the others were shocked by this before Nigun appeared next to Ddraig's throne and bowed to them.

"After I informed Ddraig-sama of the truth of what happened to the others he informed me to make a list of the Slane Theocracy's headquarters and the names of their strongest members for one reason: Declaring war against the Slane Theocracy for subjecting Shaltear Bloodfallen and Luna Bloodmoon under mind control and for trying to capture the two of them. These crimes are punishable by death which is why our master wishes to make the theocracy pay for their crimes." Nigun stated as the other guardians were shocked but glad to see that their master is taking the next step in being able to conquer this world as his own.

"As Nigun said, Eden shall travel to the Slane Theocracy, and we will crush every last member of their organization while making them fear the name Y Ddraig Goch. They are the ones who made the first move, so why don't we return the favor by taking not just their organization but their precious people as well?" Ddraig said as the others were in awe of their master words as they all bowed to their master that they would serve forever until the world ended.

"If that is your wish then all of Eden shall fight alongside you. Glory to Y Ddraig Goch!" Albedo shouted as the other guardians followed her lead as well.

"Glory to Y Ddraig Goch! All Hail!"

Ddraig smiled at them as he lifted the scythe in their air and shouted.

"Ready the army and prepare for war since it's time to reveal ourselves to the Slane Theocracy. Let's see how strong they truly are when a God comes knocking on their doors." Ddraig said as his eyes burned brightly as he would make them pay a thousand-fold for the crime that they have committed against him, Eden, and especially his Guardians.

War against the Slane Theocracy has begun.

Scene!

Sorry for making this one shorter than the others but fight scenes aren't my speciality and I wanted to show Issei's struggle as he and Ddraig do not wish to become a true Demon but remain the kind but strong leader he has always been to his people that is why he shall make sure the Slane Theocracy pays for their crimes and for Rin's death.

Issei is different from Ainz since he wishes to not conquer the world but rebuild his kingdom that he had back in Yggdrasil and be able to fight back against nations that wish to harm the ones under his protection.

Issei will have no qualm in attacking enemies who wish to harm his precious kingdom and people which is why Issei will struggle with both his human/dragon side as the kind leader, and Diablo, the Demon side who wishes to destroy anyone who harms him and his people.

Also, Issei wouldn't have a reason to attack the Lizardmen, so they won't be involved in Season 2. Now let's get this party started because the second season will be bloody.

But here's a little something before the next season.

Rin was sleeping inside a world of darkness but as she woke up, she looked up at the ceiling.

"What? Where am I?" Rin asked herself as she looked in the mirror and saw that she wasn't a Dullahan anymore.

She was different this time. She looked in a mirror to see that she had somehow been reborn as someone else.

"W-Who is this?" Rin didn't know what happened to her but one thing she did know is that she was still in the new world she was summoned in the first time but no longer as a Dullahan.

But a human.

That's right! Rin isn't dead. She's been reborn as someone else in the Overlord world.

Here is the list of candidates.

1. Arche Eeb Rile Furt. I felt bad for the poor girl so I thought that she would be saved from a fate worse than death and due to her being a magic caster as well as a worker, Rin would learn more about the Baharuth Empire by the time she meets Issei again.

2. Leinas Rockbruise: This would allow Rin to learn about Jircniv and how he runs the kingdom before thinking of assisting him in forming a peace treaty between the Baharuth Empire and the Garden of Eden.

3. Edström: Due to her being a side character and a member of Eight Fingers.

4. Isabella: Due to her being a Succubus and using her past knowledge of seducing other and taking their money for herself and will be able to assist Issei with Eight Fingers when the war over the Slane Theocracy ends.

5. And finally, Princess Renner due to it being amusing how Rin and Renner would fight for control due to the princess wanting to keep Climb for herself while Rin would fight to make sure the woman doesn't interfere with Issei's plans.
