I've already done about seven chapter's or so about training so I won't bore yall with this one. Let's say he's already finished learning the basics. Sound good? Alright! Now onto the story.
"You're getting good at this."Arashi said.
"Are you kidding? I've lost forty three times and won seven."Naruto said.
"Better seven than zero, right?"
He sighed. He'd started having spar's with Arashi after every week and he's gotta say, the kid was a menace. Not only in sword fighting but in everything too. He learnt that Arashi wasn't a shy kid after all. In fact, he was more of a brash type but the good one. He'd paint the sensei's room's funny things like the last time and since the sensei's thought he was timid, he'd get away with it. For some reason, the sensei's always pinned the blame on him. Except Sanada sensei. He was the best. Anyway, whenever he asked why they thought he was him, he'd get the same response.
"You just look like the type to do these things."
Really. He was fifteen for God's sake. Some of the other kid's were like nine or eight. How'd they not get blamed? Maybe it's because of those stupid puppy dog eyes. Who the hell even came up with that.
"Right. Still, you know I'm losing because those bastard sensei's sabotage my training. You gotta stop those pranks man. They're getting really getting annoying."
"Only to you. Sanada sensei and the others like my pranks."
"Because they're not getting their training sabotaged."
"Well, get better then."
"You're really an idiot, you know that."
"Yeah yeah. Hey, you mind letting me see that sword of yours?"
"Why? What do you want with it?",
"Nothing. Just thought I saw something interesting."
"Do whatever you want but don't paint or break it."he said removing it from under his clothes.
"Got it."
Speaking of swords, Sanada sensei finally started teaching him two sword style. Took him two montths but they were worth it in the end.
"I knew it!"
"Knew what?"
"Your sword. It has the word SUN on its handle."
"SUN? What? Lemme see."
He looked at the handle. Arashi was right, it was there. It filled the whole handle. But, what did it mean though?
"Guess I didn't notice it sooner."he said.
"Any idea what it means?"
"No clue."
It's maybe a joke from Shanks. Or a secret meaning. Or both
"Why don't we ask sensei? It may be some swordsman code or something."
"Nah, I don't think it's that. It's maybe just a funny joke my master wrote."
"Speaking of your master, you've never talked about him. What, was he bad or something."
He didn't want to talk about Shank's right now. Talking to him would lead to talking about Uta which would lead to talking about the shit that happened. It looked like Arashi knew what he was thinking because he quickly changed the subject.
"Never mind. We'll talk about it another time. You up for one more spar?"
"You read my mind."
"Where's Naruto?"Uta asked.
"Um, I don't know."
"C'mon Shank's. It's been two months since I've last seen him. And you keep giving that crappy excuse every time I've asked about him."
"Didn't he say he didn't want to see us again?"
"It's been two months. We've given him enough space."
"I think it's time we told her, captain."Benn said as he put his hand on his shoulder.
Shanks sighed. He thought this day wouldn't come. He returned to the island shortly after they departed to make it less suspicious but seems like that didn't work.
"Um Uta, how do I say this? We left Naruto."
"You idiot! Why'd you say it like that?' Benn asked.
"What do you want me to say?"
"At least you could've explained before saying that."
"W-wait, what'd you say? "She asked hesitantly.
"I said we left Naruto."
"W-why?"
"You wouldn't understand Uta."
"I don't give a damn if I don't understand! I have a right to know!"she yelled.
"I'll tell you soon enough."
"No! I want to know now!"she yelled as she started punching him on the stomach.
"Tell me! Tell me right now! I have a right! Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!"
He looked at her with grief. She couldn't understand right now. Maybe someday, but not today.
"I'm sorry Uta."
She stopped hitting him.
"It's bad enough I'm your daughter but now you separate me from my only friend? I hate you! I hate you so much!"she exclaimed as she ran to her cabin.
That really stung. He'd cry if he was another person but he'd experienced too much pain. But to be honest, that one hurt a lot. She wasn't the only one who was hurting so much.
"Are you alright captain?"asked one of the crewmates.
"Yeah. We're here for ya if you need us."said another one.
He forced a smile.
"It's alright guys. I'm sure she'll be back to her normal self eventually."
He turned around and headed for his cabin. He couldn't let them see him crying. Not here.
Another class. Boring! Couldn't he just training while they explained. He'd hate to admit it but Shank's training was more fun than this.
"I'd appreciate it if you paid more attention, Mr Uzumaki."
"I am paying attention."
"What was the last thing I said?"
He fell silent.
"That's what I thought. Now, what do you say?"
"Sorry Kodachi sensei."
"Good. Now pay attention."
As if.
"Psst. Hey Naruto."
"Huh?"he looked around to see who was calling him.
His eyes fell on Yami. Goddamnit, he hated that guy with a passion. Always thinking he was better than him. Just wait until he'd finish learning his two sword style. He'd cut him to pieces.
"The hell do you want Yami."
"Ouch. Does it hurt saying hi? Anyways, wanna skip class? I'm bored outta my mind."
"What?"
"I said," Do you wanna skip class?"
"Oh I heard ya alright. I just didn't expect you out of all people to say that."
"Being smart isn't fun ya know."
"I didn't say you were smart. In fact, you're more dumb than Arashi."
"Doesn't he always beat you in your spars?"
"Are we going or not?"he said, ready to jump out as Mr Kodachi turned to the board.
"Right behind you,"he said jumping out the window.
"So, ready to explain?"
"Explain what?"
"Why did you decide to skip class. And why you wanted me to join you."
"What? We can't have a friendly chat?"
"Cut the crap Yami."
"Oh alright. I figured maybe you'd wanna spar since you know."
"No, I don't know."
"Since you've gotten a lot better at using a sword."
"Finally realized huh."
"Oh please, you're still bad compared to me."
"Wanna find out?"he said, getting into a stance.
"Yes I do."
Disclaimer: I have never written a fighting scene. Ever. Don't blame me if it's bad.
Both ran at each other at full speed, their swords colliding. Moving back, they lunged at each other again, their swords hitting each other.
Clank* *Clank* Clank*
"Looks like you've really improved. But it's not enough."he said as he tried to sweep Naruto's legs.
"Nice try."he said as he jumped.
Both lunged at each other again, twisting, turning and dodging both each other's attacks swiftly. It had started serious but now, they looked like little kids playing with swords.
"I'll admit, I've lost."Yami said, dropping on the ground.
"What's that? I didn't quite hear you."
"You know what, i take it back."
Naruto laughed.
"So what's the score? Thirty to six?"
"Spot on."
"You know, I gotta stop being friends with small little kids. It's really gonna ruin my reputation."
"It was already ruined anyway."Yami said, laughing.
"Idiot."
"And what might the two of you have been doing while I was teaching?"Mr Kodachi said, coming outta nowhere.
"M-mr Kodachi. The Weather's nice, isn't it."Naruto said.
"Naruto made me do it,"Yami said quickly.
"Rat!"
"I hope you're ready for your punishments because you'll be sweeping all day long."
"Now this is really ruining my reputation."
"Like you have one now,"Yami said.
"Says the nerd."
"I am NOT a nerd!"
"Yeah you are."
"I am not!"
"Yeah, you really are."
"Why you…"
"Ah ah ah. No fighting while cleaning"
"Yes Kodachi sensei." Both said.
"Good. Now I'm running late on milk so I have to go and buy some. Can I trust both of you to not do anything stupid?"
"C'mon sensei. Of course you can trust us."
"Yeah, who do you take us for?"
"Alright. And remember, no fighting you two."
"Yes Kodachi sensei."
"Good. Bye now."
They waited for a few seconds.
"Looks like the coast is, Ow! What the hell! I wasn't ready yet!"Naruto yelled.
"Shh! Keep your voice down or he'll hear us."Yami said.
"You're the one who, Ow!"
"That's for calling me a nerd!"
"Oh you're in for a lot of pain."he said, twisting his broom.
"Bring it on."
"Wow, you guys are really done for."Arashi said.
"What do you mean by that?"Naruto asked.
"Look around you."
"What's so bad about…"
Oh yeah. They were really done for. The room, which wasn't looking like a room now, was just. He didn't even know how to describe it.
"Look at this mess!"Yami yelled.
"We've only been fighting for like half an hour."
"Uh, it's seven pm,"Arashi said.
"Wait, then that means,"he stopped to count.
"We've been fighting for three hours!"
"How long does it take for Kodachi sensei to buy milk?"
"Oh I've been here the whole time."
They turned to their right to see Kodachi sensei leaning on the wall.
"You were here the whole time?!"
"Did you really think I trusted you both to not make a mess? I mean c'mon. It's you and Yami. You're always at each other's throats."
"That's true,"Arashi said laughing.
"Shut up!"both yelled.
"Clean this mess up you two. If I hear you both fighting again you'll clean the whole dojo too."
"Yes sensei."
He left with Arashi who put his hands on his head mockingly.
"He's really gonna pay for that,"Yami said.
"I know just the thing."
Arashi yawned.
"G-good morning sensei."
"Arashi, is that you?"
"Yeah, of course it's me sensei."
"Oh sorry. It's hard to recognize you with your new hair color."
"What do you mean new hair color?"
"You haven't seen it? Here."He said, handing him a mirror.
He looked over his hair. Why the hell was it red?
"Naruto! I'm gonna kill you!"
"Kids these days, am I right?
"Sensei, I'm a kid too."
"Damn it!"
Guess who's back. Yes sir it's ya boy. I've decided I'll be posting on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes. Anyway, enjoy this. Kaiokenika out!
