Author's Note: Good news. The next chapter of this fanfic is back. And this time, I'm updating this regularly until we reach the end of the events of Season 1. Now, I will be skipping fillers, so apologies in advance.

Another thing, to start off this regular update schedule, I have decided to make an original chapter based on Marcy's first experience in Newtopia.

Enjoy the chapter. Any and all comments are welcome.

Erik moved behind Sasha. Shuri stood beside Marcy. T'Challa stayed at Anne's side while she popped the lid open. But suddenly, as soon as it opened, a bright light emitted from inside the box. A mixture of red, green, and blue lights shot out quickly enough engulfing the six who were taken completely by surprise.

When the light dimmed, Shuri groaned sitting back up. After rubbing her head, she took a look around, and her eyes widened at the magnificent new environment around her.

Before, she was standing in the middle of a playground in the evening with her brother and friends. Now, she was standing in the middle of of a staircase overlooking a small, but beautiful city surrounded by a large wall circling the area. At the center of the city was a magnificent castle with a metal structure erected at the top like a statue.

"What is this place?" Shuri asked breathlessly.

"SHURI, HEADS UP!"

Shuri turned to the sound of the yell. She caught Marcy falling down the stairs and onto her. The Wakandan princess didn't have the chance to dodge before getting knocked out.

Shuri groaned when she woke up again. Now, she felt like she was laying on a soft bed, and although her vision was blurry, she could tell there were people looking over her.

"What are they?"

"I don't know."

"Where did they come from?"

"I don't know."

"Why does the king want to see them?"

"Nurse, you gotta stop asking questions that I don't know the answer to."

"Wait. I think she's waking up."

Shuri's vision began to clear up. She was about to thank four unusual figures looking over her, but stopped when she saw their appearance. They were newts, each with different colors. And the weirdest parts: they were half of Shuri's size and wearing doctor clothes.

As soon as Shuri saw the newts, she gasped and rolled out of bed. She landed on her feet and grabbed the first thing she can grab and use as a weapon.

"Stay back! I'm warning you!" Shuri warned.

"Uh, ma'am, you're holding a glass of water." One of the newt doctors informed.

Shuri looked back and saw the glass in her hand. "So I am."

"Hey, Shuri."

The princess turned around to the bed right beside her. Marcy was laying there with a cast wrapped around her left foot. She also had bandages around her left hand and a band-aid on her right cheek.

"Marcy!" Shuri gasped before turning back to the newts. "What did you do to her?"

"Whoa! We didn't do that!" another newt said. "Your friend fell down a flight of stairs, landed on top of you, knocked you out, and broke her leg."

"It's cool, Shuri." Marcy said. "The newts are actually nice. This hospital actually has free public health care. Can you believe it?"

"Marcy, what's going on?" Shuri asked. "Where are we? Why are there giant newts in people clothes? And where are my brother and our friends?"

"Well, I had a lovely chat with Lady Olivia while you were out, and I quickly realized that we were somehow zapped into another world, one where amphibians are the intelligent, dominant life forms." Marcy said. "Don't know where the others are though."

"Who's Lady Olivia?" Shuri asked.

"That's me." Asked a new newt who just walked in. She had long, black hair and a white-and-purple dress. "Olivia, the royal lady in waiting. Good to see you awake then, Ms. Shuri. The king wants to talk to both of you when you are ready."

"The king?" Shuri asked.

After getting dressed, Shuri and Marcy followed Olivia to the castle at the center of the city. Marcy used a crutch in place of her broken leg, but it didn't slow her down. She just kept getting excited about everything around her.

"Whoa!" Marcy said watching in awe at everything around her.

"This is the city of Newtopia, the capitol of the known world that we call Amphibia." Olivia explained. "And our king, Andrias, rules it all benevolently. As soon as the people saw two strange creatures fall down the stairs and the king heard it, he wanted to meet you all as soon as possible."

"And he'll be able to help us?" Shuri asked.

"Most likely." Olivia said.

"This is all so very cool." Marcy commented as she walked on her crutch faster.

"Marcy, ease up." Shuri said.

"Come on, guys! There's a whole castle for us to explore!" Just as Marcy said that, she entered another room where a new person awaited them.

This man was also a newt, but unlike the others, he was gigantic. He had an unbelievably colossal figure making him literally as big as a house. This giant, blue newt wore a set of pajamas and a pair of pink sunglasses underneath his crown. He had just set down his newspaper and removed his glasses when the three arrived.

"Whoa, that's a big guy." Shuri commented.

"King Andrias, I present to you the creatures known as Marcy Wu and Shuri." Olivia presented.

"So you're the king of Newtopia?" Marcy asked in awe. "Man, you're huge! Andrias, huh? Can I call you 'Drias?"

Andrias' face dropped as he looked sadly at his glasses. "Only one person ever called me that."

"Gotcha. Too personal." Marcy said regretting her position.

"Smooth." Shuri told her.

"Ooh! I got it!" Marcy said looking back at Andrias. "You know, I bet I can fit in your pocket!"

"What?" Shuri asked.

"What?" Olivia asked.

"Huh?" Andrias asked just as Marcy climbed up his gigantic body. She lifted herself up until she finally tucked herself in his breast pocket.

"Knew it. Oh! I just thought of something!" Marcy stick something on Andrias' collar. It was a block figure pin. "A little gift for the king of Newtopia. I hope you like it."

Both Olivia and Shuri were speechless at Marcy's sudden act. They looked up at Andrias nervous about what he would do next. Much to their surprise, he burst out a cheerful laugh before pulling Marcy out of his pocket.

"Indeed, I do, Master Marcy."

"Master? I'm a master?" Marcy asked in disbelief. "OMG! Anne and Sasha will never believe this!"

"And why not extend the title?" Andrias asked before looking at the Wakandan. "Shuri, would you care to be a master as well?"

Shuri, taken aback by the surprising behavior, almost stammered out her answer. "Uh… Sure. I mean, it's a real honor. But if you don't mind, your highness, we appear to be misplaced."

"Oh, right." Marcy said. "There are four other humans like us who we think may have arrived in this world just like us. Have you seen them? We need to make sure they're okay."

"We haven't, but we are looking." Andrias said setting Marcy down next to Shuri. "In the meantime, you'll be our honored guests here. Lady Olivia will show you to your quarters."

"This way." Olivia said leading the way.

"Okie dokie." Marcy said. "Bye, King Andrias!"

"Thank you." Shuri said before leaving with the others.

After the women left, Andrias took a second to admire the pin that Marcy stuck into his collar. All of a sudden, a red eye opened up in the center of his crown. Andrias then found himself in the middle of a pitch-black area with a set of several large, red eyes looking down at him. An eerie, indistinct whisper came from it, but Andrias knew what it was telling him.

"Kill them? Now? But we still don't know where the box is."

The eyes glared at Andrias giving him more whispers.

"It's true. The Atlantean prophecy makes keeping them alive risky," Andrias replied, "But my lord, they're just children. Perhaps all of this is overblown."

The eyes glared and whispered again.

"What do I propose? Hmm…" Andrias waved his hand, and suddenly, strange writing appeared before him written in an unknown language. "In studying the ancient writings, it appears there is a ritual that allows those six chosen heroes to give up their abilities and responsibilities that comes with them. Why not befriend Marcy and Shuri so we can lure their friends here? We will siphon their powers away, neutralize the prophecy…"

"And restore our legacy, all in one fell swoop." Finished a voice coming from behind Andrias. It was an older newt who looked very similar to Andrias, but he had the red eyes on his face in place of normal ones. "Well done, Andrias."

Later that night, Shuri slouched at the window staring up at the red moon that shined above. Right across the other end of the bedroom, Marcy sat in her own bed which was across from Shuri's.

"You still up?" Marcy asked.

"Can't sleep." Shuri said.

"Me neither." Marcy said excitedly. "Isn't this exciting? A great, big fantasy world where anything can be possible!"

"Exciting?" Shuri asked turning back at her friend. "Marcy, we're an entire world away from home, we have no idea how to get back, and we lost four of our friends. Well, three and Erik, but I don't know him all that well. But you know what I mean."

Marcy's smile dropped. "Sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. It's just… my whole life, I've always dreamed of living a life like in all my favorite movies, video games, and comics. Full of magic and adventure. Now, we're finally here. I guess I was just overwhelmed."

Shuri sighed. "It's okay. I get that you're looking forward to it, and I'm willing to stick with you until the end, but let's not forget that our first priority is to find the others and return home."

"Oh, sure. Definitely. Good night." Marcy said before turning over and laying in her bed. As soon as she was sure Shuri couldn't see her face, she frowned sadly and whispered to herself glumly. "Home."

Shuri looked back at the red moon. "Brother, wherever you are, I hope you're doing everything you can to find us."

Back at Wartwood, T'Challa was spending the night washing dishes along with Anne.

"You just had to break Hop Pop's favorite cane." T'Challa said judgingly.

"I know." Anne replied.
