Author's Note: Before we begin, I'd like to address a couple of comments.

One guest reviewer asked if I could include the Thai restaurant episode, the stand episode, the election the snow day episode, and the bug ball game episode. Now, I can do the snow day and bug ball game episodes since you brought up some good ideas for how they would go, and I'll give you a hard maybe on the Thai restaurant episode. Looking back, I did enjoy it. But I'm still a little iffy on the stand episode and the election episode. I understand that the election story is a good plotline, and it does give the toads a reason to eventually want to take it out on Hop Pop, but the thing you gotta remember is that in this fanfic, Toadstool isn't even starting out as the mayor. Stan Leap is. So before I consider using those two episodes, we first need to figure out how to fix for that, especially since Stan Leap is a very likable person (which isn't surprising considering who I based him on), and he probably wouldn't raise the rent outrageously which started the stand episode.

Another guest reviewer called Thomas asked why I'm including Hop, Pop, and Lock. Honestly, it's mainly meant to introduce Sylvia. I like her and I enjoyed the episode. I'm sure I can make it work.

Well, that's about all that I can say. Enjoy this chapter, and the little twist I included in it. Any and all comments are welcome.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

T'Challa and the Planter family were caught off guard when they heard Anne's scream. T'Challa quickly put on his vibranium costume and extracted his claws just as Anne ran out of the basement.

"Anne! Are you okay? What attacked you?" T'Challa asked.

"Wha… Nothing. I just discovered this!" She pulled out her phone which showed an island setting in the screen along with the words "Suspicion Island" across.

"What are we looking at here?" Polly asked.

"Suspicion Island." Anne said with an excited grin. "It's, like, my favorite show. I've got the new season and didn't even know it. It must have auto-downloaded before we were zapped here."

"Who's this Otto?" Sprig asked.

"And how did you 'download' him?" Polly asked.

"No. It's not like that." T'Challa said removing his vibranium suit. "It just means that she has a whole TV season on her phone. Honestly, Anne, I'm impressed it's still running after all this time we've been in Amphibia."

"I've been very careful with how I use it." Anne said. "Hey. Do you like Suspicion Island?"

"Actually, I've never seen it." T'Challa answered.

"WHAT?!"

"Easy! It's not a big deal!"

"You take that back! It's a HUGE deal! Just look!"

Anne pressed play on her phone which showed a gang of shipwrecked young adults traversing through a series of horrible obstacles which threaten their lives.

"So those are more humans, huh?" Sprig asked.

"Haha! They have noses." Polly laughed.

"What is this demonic nonsense?" Hop Pop asked.

"Hop Pop, this show's got beautiful people doing dumb things whie stuff explodes. It's literally perfect. And T'Challa, since you haven't seen it, I say we all watch it together!"

"Now, hold on." Hop Pop said. "Instead of that, how about I treat you to some real entertainment." He pulled out a rolled-up piece of paper from behind him.

"You just keep that on you all the time?" T'Challa asked.

"Hop Pop considers himself a struggling actor." Sprig said.

"Emphasis on 'struggling'." Polly said.

"A scene from 'The Shallow Pond'." Hop Pop cleared his throat. "'Sadness. The world is sadness. But look. There. A pond! Is it deep… or shallow?' So what do you think?"

"It's certainly… dramatic, Hop Pop," T'Challa said nervously, "But if it's all the same with you, I think I'll just watch Suspicion Island."

"Me too!" Sprig cheered.

"Me three!" Polly cheered.

Hop Pop sighed. "Okay. Fine."

In the last episode the gang watched that night, one of the characters, Chad, commented that the pterodactyls were his dead brother's clones just before one of them kidnapped one of the other characters, Vivica. The episode ended, and Anne stopped her phone.

"And that's enough for tonight."

"Aw, come on! This is torture!" Sprig and Polly complained.

"Trust me, guys. You gotta pace yourself with this stuff."

"All right, you two grubs. Off to bed." Hop Pop said guiding his grandkids to their rooms.

"So what did you think of the show, T'Challa?" Anne asked.

"It's certainly better than I expected." T'Challa replied.

"And Hop Pop?" Anne asked. "What did you think? Better than that boring stuff you read to us, right?"

"That 'boring stuff' is called literature, Anne." Hop Pop said. "But I admit, for something so uncultured, Suspicion Island does have me hooked. Well, I'm off to bed. You two monsters do the same." He got up and headed to his room.

"Well, at least we got through to him." Anne said as she and T'Challa left.

In the dead of night, a mysterious figure sneaked their way across the Planter household. They stopped at the living room where Anne left her phone and continued to watch Suspicion Island.

The next morning, Anne made it to the living room and sat on the couch with a bowl of popcorn in her lap.

"Come on, guys! It's time to get… suspicious." Anne said before turning on her phone. But just as she did, her phone display showed a low battery alert and beeped. "Wait, what?!"

At that moment, T'Challa and the frogs caught up with Anne in the living room.

"What's wrong, Anne?" Sprig asked.

"What's all the ruckus?" Hop Pop asked.

"Why you screaming?" Polly asked.

"Is something the matter?" T'Challa asked.

"My battery is low. But it was fine last night when I turned it off." She quickly checked her phone and scrolled through her episode selection scene. "Huh? 'Watched'? Who watched all these episodes and used up all the… No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!"

It was too late. The phone screen went completely black and lifeless in Anne's hands. She had the most horrified look on her face.

"It's gone."

"What's gone?" Sprig asked.

"Everything! My pictures! My texts! Videos of my cat! Now, all my memories from home are gone!" Anne began to hyperventilate.

"Oh, that can't be good." T'Challa said with a worried tone.

"WAS IT YOU?!" Anne shouted pointing at the nearest person, Sprig.

"What? No! I didn't watch anything! It must have been Polly!"

"What?"

"I even heard her get up in the night. Very suspicious."

"I needed to pee!" Polly defended. "Plus, if you heard me, you were awake too. You're the suspicious one!"

"Don't change the subject!"

"Wait. What about… Hop Pop?"

"Me? Don't be ridiculous."

"Then.. how about T'Challa?" Sprig asked

"What? Why me?"

"Haven't you seen Suspicion Island? It's always the least obvious one!"

"Don't base your choices on cartoons! Besides, statistically speaking, it's usually the most obvious one."

"ENOUGH!" Anne shouted. "If none of you are going to admit to it, the least you could do is help me fix my phone."

"Fair enough, Anne." Hop Pop said. "How do we bring this thing back to life? Magic? Life sacrifice? I know a guy in town…"

"We don't need to kill anyone." T'Challa said. "We just need power. Electricity. It's like little bits of lightning."

"Oh. I think I know what you're talking about." Hop Pop said. "Quickly, to my study!"

Everyone followed Hop Pop to his study room where he pulled out a book. He flipped through the pages until he found what he was looking for.

"I've heard talk o a creature called the zapapede that lives deep in the Misty Peaks." Hop Pop explained. "It zaps its prey with a small spark of lightning. Yeah, it's pretty cool actually."

"Sounds like one spark is enough to recharge Anne's phone back to full power." T'Challa said.

"So how far away is this bug, HP." Anne asked.

"Don't call me HP. It's half a day's travel, but that should be no trouble for this gang."

"Oh, yeah?" Sprig asked suspiciously. "Well, that's just what Chad Vanderblad said… RIGHT BEFORE HE WAS STABBED IN THE BACK BY A BACKSTABBER ON SUSPICION ISLAND!" He pointed his finger at Hop Pop accusingly.

"Watch where you're pointin' that finger." Hop Pop said.

"I would never stab Chad in the back, but one of you two would." Polly said pointing back.

"Hey! Every time you point, two more fingers point back." Sprig said.

"THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!"

"Hey! You're all suspicious." Anne said.

"Guys, stop it." T'Challa said. "You're letting a TV show make your decisions for you. All that matters is bringing Anne's phone back online. So no more playing the blame game."

"Whatever." Anne said. "Let's get going. The sooner we move, the sooner I get my memories back."

The gang was underway, but suspicion was still in the air.

"A family distrusts each other

On a dangerous mission

Like the nearly naked humans

On the island of suspicion

Peruvia, Felicia, and Randy, so hot

Beguiling

Hostile-ing

We're all suspicious isle-ing"

"Quiet, boy. Look." Hop Pop interrupted Sprig's fiddle song. "Look. There's one now. A zapapede."

After half a day of traveling, the group was high enough in the mountains to find what they were looking for. Just like Hop Pop described, it looked like a yellow centipede with electricity sparking between its antennae. It was wrapped around the top of a mountain on the other side of a misty chasm. The only connection between them and it was a rickety, old rope bridge.

"Oh, looks pretty cute." Anne said.

"Be careful, everyone." T'Challa said. "This bridge doesn't look like it takes much weight."

One at a time, each member took a careful step on the bridge keeping a fair distance from each other. Hop Pop stopped paying attention to the bridge when he noticed Sprig yawn.

"Sup, HP?" Anne asked noticing Hop Pop's suspicion.

"Sprig sure looks tired, doesn't he? Awfully suspicious." Hop Pop answered. "And don't call me HP."

"The old man's a lying snake, but he does have a point." Polly said.

"YOU GUYS TALKIN' SCUM?" Sprig accused suddenly.

"What? No, no, no, no." Hop Pop deflected.

"Hmm. Hey, T'Challa." Sprig said getting the Wakandan's attention. "I want to find out who's guilty just as much as you and Anne do. Let me help you."

"Sprig, I told you not to mimic the behavior from that TV show." T'Challa said. "We're not even on an island… I think. I'm pretty sure this place counts as a continent or something."

"OH, NO, YOU DON'T!" Polly shouted as she bounced closer. "You were trying to Chad him into trusting you!"

"And you're trying to Vivica him into not trusting me!" Sprig retorted.

"Oh. And look at Hop Pop trying to Randy his way out of this!" Polly pointed.

"I'm doing no such thing!" Hop Pop shouted.

"Guys, cut it out!" T'Challa shouted.

"T'Challa's right! You're gonna…"

SNAP!

The bridge collapsed just when they were halfway across. Everyone fell below. The landing was rough, but it was short enough to not kill them. They landed on a ledge.

"Rope bridge? More like 'nope bridge. Am I right?" Anne asked trying to laugh off her pain.

"Is everyone okay?" T'Challa asked getting back up.

"Yep." Hop Pop said before pointing down below the ledge. "But look. More zapapedes."

Shortly below where the gang stood there was another ground that was covered by dozens of electric bugs. Tiny sparks flickered over their heads.

"How are we going to reach them?" T'Challa asked.

"I got it!" Anne said. "Let's just link arms and lower someone down, just like the teens did in episode eight."

"HA! So that Polly can drop us to cover her tracks," Sprig asked, "Just like Vivica did in the very same episode?"

"Guys, stop it." T'Challa said.

"You calling me a Vivica?" Polly growled at her brother.

"Maybe…" Sprig replied.

"Seriously, give it a rest." T'Challa insisted.

Suddenly, Polly shouted as she jumped at Sprig. The two of them violently attacked each other rolling over each other in the ground.

"Kids, stop fighting!" Hop Pop shouted.

"Cut it out, you guys! Seriously… OW!" Anne was suddenly kicked in the face accidently by Sprig who paused the fighting after realizing his mistake.

"Oh. Sorry, Anne. You okay?" Sprig chuckled nervously.

Anne slowly removed Sprig's foot from her face. She then rolled up her sleeve before jumping in and fighting with the others.

"Kids, stop fighting!" Hop Pop pleaded.

"Seriously, you have to stop!" T'Challa agreed.

The kids weren't listening. They kept fighting and trading blows with each other. Just when the fight was just about to reach its peak of violence, a single voice stopped them.

"IT WAS MEEEEEEEEE!"

The fighting stopped and everyone turned to see who it was that was confessing. Anne, Sprig, Polly, and even Hop Pop were surprised to see who said that.

It was T'Challa.

"Say what?" Polly asked.

"Huh?" Sprig asked.

"Pardon me?" Hop Pop asked.

"T'Challa, you mean…" Anne asked.

"Yes, Anne." T'Challa confessed shamefully. "I did it! I sneaked out of the basement to watch the rest of Suspicion Island!"

"Why?" Anne asked.

"I couldn't help it! It was a good show!" T'Challa said. "I know we agreed to see it in the morning, but I couldn't sleep. That show kept filling my head and keeping me up. So I thought I could ease my mind by watching one more episode, but I was wrong. I kept getting hooked to all the characters and the plot and the graphics. And before I knew it, I finished the season. That's when I noticed the low-battery symbol, and I didn't know what to do. That's when the sun came up and you came out of the basement. I turned off the phone, put it back where I found it, and used my Black Panther skills to sneak away."

"Holy smokes." Sprig said. "Honestly, I thought it was gonna be Hop Pop."

"Hey!" Hop Pop shouted.

"So you, of all people, did something so irresponsible?" Anne asked.

"Yes. I know. But I'll make it right today." T'Challa said as he tapped his talisman and changed into his Black Panther costume. He grabbed Anne's phone and dived off the ledge and into the zapapede pile.

"T'CHALLA!" Anne shouted as she looked over the ledge. She saw her human friend laying on his back on top of the zapapedes.

"Huh. This is actually pretty rela… AAAAAAHHHHH!"

T'Challa's whole body was bursting with electric attacks as if he was being struck by multiple lightning bolts. The strikes kept hitting him frequently.

"Oh, no! He's gonna be a fried panther!" Anne gasped.

"He can't last much longer!" Sprig said.

"We have to work together!" Polly said.

"Linking arms then?" Hop Pop asked.

Everyone nodded and grabbed ahold of each other. From standing on top of the ledge to reaching for T'Challa below, it was Sprig, Hop Pop, Polly, and Anne. Sprig was stretching out his tongue for better reach. At the bottom, Anne reached out as far as she could to the electrocuted Black Panther.

"Almost… Almost… Got him!" Anne shouted grabbing T'Challa's ankle. "Oh, wait a second."

All of a sudden, the entire gang screamed feeling the chain of electricity flowing through each of them. It went on until…

BOOM!

Anne, T'Challa, Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop were blown out of the zapapede field and landed just outside of the Misty Peaks entrance. They all groaned after landing. Hop Pop found Anne's found next to him and picked it up to read the screen.

"10,000%"

"Holy smokes. That's a lot of percents." Hop Pop commented.

"How about that?" Anne asked. "So, T'Challa, let's talk about… T'Challa?"

T'Challa didn't respond. He hasn't moved since he landed. Everyone else surrounded him worried. They saw that he was still breathing, but he was still unconscious.

"What's wrong with him?" Sprig asked.

Anne touched him, but was surprised to feel a small shock sting her hand. That's when it hit her.

"The vibranium. I think it conducts electricity. He got hit harder than the rest of us!"

"We gotta get him back to the house now!" Hop Pop cried out.

When T'Challa woke up, he found himself laying in his bed with a band-aid covering a small bit of his face. He then saw the others sitting beside his bed relieved to see him awake.

"How long was I out?" T'Challa asked.

"A couple of hours." Sprig said.

"You were half-dead." Polly commented.

"Glad to see you okay, dude." Anne said.

"Thanks." T'Challa said before frowning. "And Anne, I'm sorry again for using up your phone and lying about it. Are we cool?"

"Dude. You just risked your life to recharge my phone. I'd say we're more than cool. But I still don't get it. You always lecture me about being responsible and having self-control. Why this sudden change in character?"

T'Challa sighed. "I don't know. I guess after I first saw Suspicion Island, it felt like some part of me was missing until then."

"Did they not have Suspicion Island in your homeland?" Hop Pop asked.

"If they did, I couldn't see it." T'Challa said. "I was busy training to be king."

"Training?" Anne asked. "Dude, you were royal. Surely, you could do whatever you want, right?"

"That's a common mistake. You see, it's not just about everything going your way. I'm not just born to be a king, guys. I'm born to be a protector. I have hundreds of traditions to practice, so much Wakandan science to study, thousands of cultures to learn from in the case of field work, martial arts to practice in case of invaders. If you have to cover all of that, there's rarely any room for doing normal things like watching TV."

"Dang." Anne said feeling sympathetic. "Sorry to hear that. But didn't you come to LA to live a normal life for a while?"

"Even then, I had a lot of studies to do." T'Challa said. "Fun time was merely just a Sunday afternoon thing. Don't get me wrong. I love Wakanda and I'm willing to do anything to protect it, but sometimes, I wish I had more time for normal kid stuff."

"Well, now you do." Anne said picking up her phone. "Remember, we can't do anything until the mountains clear up, and my phone is now charged at 10,000%. I'd say you have plenty of time to be a real kid. Suspicion Island, anybody?"

"I'm in!" Sprig cheered.

"Count me in." Hop Pop said.

"Bring on the Randy!" Polly shouted.

Everyone huddled around T'Challa while Anne set the phone up to play right in front of them. As the show started, T'Challa looked around him happy to be surrounded by people who support him. He then settled down and watched the show with them.
