Explosions…
Many explosions were happening around the Arc Household Training area.
Why? Because Nora and Yang were having a sparring match. This was fine for the most part.
However, due to their newfound conceptual armor known as Armour of Fafnir, the fight escalated quickly.
Each blow was powerful but enough to bypass the Armour of Fafnir. Hence, destruction.
It didn't matter, the damage was being done to the training facility that Jaune created within his family house, which could repair itself in a matter of minutes. The wonder of Magic.
Many may ask, 'Doesn't Jaune have the Training Room that doesn't allow death?'. That is true, but everyone that has experienced death in the room has avoided it as much as they could. The place, just thinking about it gives them shivers.
Glynda was looking at the destruction.
"Jaune? Aren't you going to stop them before any more damage is done?" asked Glynda. She was unaware of the repair magic that the training room was enchanted with. She looked at the destroyed equipment, wall, pillars, and ground. "This is serious property damage. This would cost millions to repair".
Jaune raised an eyebrow at Glynda. He remembered that even if Glynda was aware of magic, her knowledge ends with the Four Maidens. She was unaware of other things magic is capable of, such as repairing the damage.
"You have nothing to worry about. If it is about money? I have plenty to use," said Jaune. He smiled at Glynda. She knows that Jaune was rich since he donate hundreds of millions of Lien to Beacon Academy to hire new staff and other necessities that students and faculties alike would need. "But most importantly, I enchanted the place with a self-repair function".
Glynda's eye twitched. Not because of Jaune, but because Ozpin could have used something like that around Beacon.
"Is it difficult to make those types of magic enhancement?" asked Glynda. She wanted to know if Ozpin was being lazy, or if it was not a viable option to use throughout Beacon. "Something like that I would imagine is difficult to do".
"No it's not," said Jaune. It was simple magic that many can use. "It is a bit time-consuming when using it as a Rune, but it isn't difficult. The reason for it being time-consuming is due to having to carve the Rune on the surface manually. But, if you can carve without doing it physically like me, then it is quite easy".
"When you say carve the Rune on something, I don't assume it is that simple, is it?" asked Glynda. It could not be as simple as knowing the Rune and carving it on something. "It can't be, right?".
"You're right, it isn't that simple, but it isn't that much more difficult," said Jaune. He then took a brick out of his Inventory and carved a Rune physically on it. He then dropped it. Showing that it had the self-repair Rune as it put itself back together. "See? Not that difficult. The only thing you need to do differently is imbue the Rune with magic as you carve it out".
Jaune then took out another brick from his inventory and carved the Rune without using his hands.
"But as I said, it is easier if you can carve a Rune without physically doing it," said Jaune. "Using the magical energy you have; you can carve the Rune with it. Of course, you need immense control over your magical energy to do something like that. It is incredibly difficult that even Scáthach was not able to do it on a solid surface, but she can do so in the air".
With Nora and Yang, the spar went on.
The duo was having fun. They didn't even realize how much damage they'd caused.
"This is awesome!" said Yang. She could not believe it. Nora hit her with her grenade a few times and it didn't cause any damage to it. "Even after all these, my hair is still in pristine condition!".
Yang hoped that Jaune gave her the Armour of Fafnir a while back, but she understood that the guy must have needed to find a way to ask them to bathe in blood. That was not an easy conversation to have.
"Hey, Yang? Do you think we should kick it up a notch?" asked Nora. She saw Yang smirk at her and that was her answer. "Now we are talking!".
As the duo continued to spar, the other people in the room were cheering them on.
"Kick Nora's butt, Yang!" shouted Ruby.
"Come on, Nora! Show Yang why you're the Pancake Queen!" shouted Ren. He then thought a bit and realized it makes no sense. Nevertheless, Nora became more energetic. If that was even possible.
"I don't know anyone here personally, but I will cheer for the short one," said Whitley. He hasn't interacted with anyone other than Jaune within the bunch.
"Oh? Little brother. You have changed," thought Winter. She smiled. She then looked at Jaune speaking with Glynda. She wanted to speak to him too, but she was not one for small talk. Thus, she did not know how to approach him. "Maybe I can invite him for some tea? Then we can talk".
Winter nodded and smiled at her thought.
Willow saw this and smirked. She knew that her daughter was interested in Jaune. However, she knew that Winter did not know her feeling as the woman has never fallen in love before. Maybe she should give her a little push.
"I wonder if I can help in some way?" thought Willow. She had a thinking pose as she looked at Winter, then Jaune. "I should speak to Jaune about it. I can see him give my daughter a few glances. Plus, I know he is into older women. Winter would do nicely. And, I would rather her be with Jaune than some schmuck that doesn't know how to treat a woman right".
Next to Willow was Blake. She can tell the woman beside her was scheming something juicy. Normally, she would be all for that, but she had a pang of jealousy. For a while now, she has been wanting Jaune, but she didn't know how to approach the subject. The guy had girls with him left and right. Each with beauty unparalleled.
"I mean, I can't compare to someone like Willow, let alone Scáthach and Tiamat," thought Blake. She then slapped her cheeks. "No! I can't be thinking like this. Jaune isn't a guy that is only interested in a woman's body. If that was the case, then there are many others he could have gone for and slept with. This is one thing I will not run from. I will face my feelings for Jaune head-on and tell him!".
While Blake was facing her feelings for Jaune, she was not the only one.
Pyrrha was waiting for an opportune time to speak to Jaune about her long-time feelings for him. No longer would she let her fear of being rejected and her friendship broken stop her from telling him how she feels.
"I doubt Jaune would stop being my friend just because he rejected me, he isn't that kind of guy," thought Pyrrha. "I'm going to do this!"
Pyrrha stood up and looked at Jaune, but she saw that he was making conversation with Glynda.
"Okay! I will do this when we are alone later," thought Pyrrha. She remembered that Glynda confessed her feelings to Jaune, and she didn't want to take that away from her Professor. Although, she hoped that it was her that did so. "I'll do it later tonight, maybe".
Pyrrha was gathering as much courage as she could. But she needed to do it quickly as she may waver once more as she did a while back.
Behind Pyrrha was Haruhime. She was feeling things for Jaune, but she didn't understand it. She was aware that she started feeling something for him as he trained her. But she didn't know if she was feeling love for him, or if she was only grateful to him for helping her get to where she was now.
Hence, Haruhime wanted to stay with Jaune and speak to him personally. She was planning to do so until her combat Professor decided to kiss him!
Fortunately, this gave her more answers than her self-contemplation did. Seeing Jaune being kissed by Glynda, she felt jealous and hoped that she was the one that came forward and took the leap of fate.
Alas, Haruhime knew that there is no medicine for regret. All she could do now was to find her opportunity.
"If I can find an opportunity to tell him how I feel, I might have to make said opportunity with my own hands," thought Haruhime. She was thinking of a way that she could do so. It might be difficult since Jaune is also with someone, but it is doable. Difficult, but doable. "Hmm… Maybe I can tell him I'm feeling homesick and want to visit Orario? But even if I did that, Scáthach and maybe others might join us. Scáthach wouldn't be difficult. All I have to do is speak to her about it. The others would be the difficult part. I know others are already thinking of ways to get Jaune".
Haruhime was scheming a way to get Jaune alone for an extended period.
Back with Jaune and Glynda, they were talking about the repair Rune that automatically repairs the damages done to the area.
"Uhm… Jaune?" called Glynda. She took a deep breath and spoke. "Is it possible if I asked you to place the Runes at Beacon? I know this is asking too much, but I am tired of repairing the school repeatedly when it isn't even my job. And it takes a toll on me since it happens quite often. I only have so much Aura to deal with it".
Without a second thought, Jaune nodded at Glynda and spoke.
"It's not a problem," said Jaune. He then smiled. "And hey, with that, you may have more free time and I can take you out on a date".
Glynda blushed. Yes, she would be going on a date with Jaune. She couldn't believe that she just went and kissed him without thinking! But she was glad that it went well. When she kissed Jaune, time felt like it came to a crawl. Many thoughts appeared in her mind that what she did was stupid.
However, when Glynda saw Jaune smile at her, her heart skipped a beat, and she became hopeful. She was glad that she did what she did. Because, otherwise, she would not have been as happy as she was feeling now.
Glynda was about to say something, but Jaune walked forward and stopped the sparring. It was going nowhere since Yang and Nora do not have the strength to bypass Armour of Fafnir.
"That's enough," said Jaune. He was holding Yang's fist and Nora's hammer. "This is not going anywhere since neither of you has the strength to bypass Armour of Fafnir. Training will be given to all of you. Expect it to be difficult. And I believe it is time I thought all of you how to gain magic".
Hearing that, the group was ecstatic! They would be learning how to use magic! Magic! Can you believe it?!
Among the group, only Haruhime has been able to use magic.
