As sorry for being gone for a while, here is another chapter.
Enjoy.
…
In the StuCo room…
Jaune and Sona were missing.
Sona went ahead and gave Jaune the tour of the school.
The people that remained in the room were stunned and worried.
"Fuku-Kaichou. Are we going to leave Kaichou with the unknown man?" asked one of the girls. They were worried that something might happen to Sona.
"I have no choice. We have no choice. We are all ordered to leave them be. I have no idea why she would order in a way. She has never done such a thing before. However, we still must listen to her orders. No matter how worried we are, we need to trust that our King knows what she is doing," said Tsubaki. She sighed. She was more worried about Sona than the others. She has been with her the longest.
…
With Jaune and Sona…
The two are going around the school.
Jaune was impressed with Kuoh Academy.
It was no Beacon Academy, but it was impressive for a mundane school.
Unlike Beacon, the school is geared toward the development of the mind, whilst Beacon was geared toward the development of the body.
Being a Huntsman was demanding.
One can never know when the next Grimm attack would be.
"What do you think of the school so far?" asked Sona. She fidgeted with her fingers.
Jaune thought for a moment and told her his thought.
"It's a wonderful school. For sure, it is nothing like Beacon. The school I attend is filled with training rooms, gyms, etc. Anything that had to do with training the body is available. We are the defenders of mankind, after all," said Jaune. He continued to tell her about Beacon and all the upgrades he did.
Sona smiled at Jaune's stories. She could tell that he was not joking.
The world Jaune came from, she thought it was far more advance than the people on Earth, but as it turns out, the difference is not much. Sure there are robots and whatnot, but there are things on Earth that are better than the ones in Remnant. For example, the satellite.
The amazing things on Remnant that Sona heard from Jaune were created by him.
Jaune was the anomaly. He is the one that is more advance, not the collective people of Remnant.
Sona became curious about Jaune's world.
"Can you tell me more about your world?" asked Sona. Knowledge is something she is interested in.
"I can, but in exchange, tell me more about this world. And about you," said Jaune. He was interested in Sona.
"A-Ah…W-What do you mean?" asked Sona. She thought Jaune was interested in her.
"I can tell that you aren't human. Sure, in Remnant, there are people we call Faunus. People with animal traits. But you, you look exactly like humans, but the feelings I get from you are not that of humans. So, what are you?" asked Jaune.
Sona was a bit disappointed when she heard what Jaune said.
"I see," said Sona. She explained why their world works. The Heaven, the Underworld, The realm where other pantheon lives. She told as much as she knew.
Jaune reciprocated the knowledge she has given him. He told her all about Remnant. Aura, the Grimm, the Brother Gods, the Faunus, etc.
While conversing, Jaune and Sona arrived in the front of ORC building.
Their conversation ended when they heard a loud crash in the back of the building.
Worried, Sona hurried to find out what has happened.
When they arrived, Sona and Jaune saw people fighting.
There was a girl with a giant sword, a guy that can create swords, a girl that can change the shape of her sword at her whims, and a guy with a red gauntlet.
Not far from the people fighting, there was another group of people. They were observers of the fight.
This shows that this was a somewhat friendly exchange.
Jaune can feel the anger from one of the guys fighting.
It was deep hatred.
Not for the person he was fighting, but the sword in the girl's hands.
Such hatred for a mere tool.
Looking at the sword, Jaune felt his Excalibur hum in annoyance within his soul.
"Now this is interesting," thought Jaune. His sword has never shown such a reaction before. It has been with him for a while now. Since the time he defeated Tiamat.
Jaune brought out Excalibur from within Avalon and held it in its invisible state.
The moment Jaune brought out Excalibur, the swords in the hands of the two girls that were fighting hummed in defeat. They lost control of the sword.
"Eh? Mimic?" said the girl whose sword can change form. She was confused, her sword went back to its rope form.
"Destruction…" said the girl with the huge sword.
Their swords were no longer responding to their instructions.
This momentary lapse in concentration has consequences.
The guy fighting the girl with the huge sword used this moment to attack with all he's got.
Swords up swords appeared from the ground and were about to stab the girl, but Jaune suddenly appeared and took the attack.
"Jaune!" shouted Sona. He was only here to see things, but he is now going to die.
However, upon a closer look, Sona saw that Jaune was uninjured.
She was so worried about him that forgot the things that happened in the StuCo room.
The others by the side were worried as well.
They wanted to stop what was going to happen, but they were too slow.
"Now, now. I thought the moment I saw this match; it was a friendly exchange. So? Why did you go for the kill?" asked Jaune. He was responsible for the girl losing control of her sword. Thus, it was his responsibility to help her out of the danger he caused.
The guy was shocked as well. He never wanted to kill the girl. He merely wanted to destroy the sword.
The girl looked at Jaune. She was curious about who he was. He took the attack like nothing.
"Thank you for the help, but who are you?" asked the girl. Jaune was an unknown. He is for sure someone from the Supernatural World. There is no way around to saying he isn't.
"The name's Jaune Arc," said Jaune. He smiled at her.
"So…your French? The name Arc is French, right?" asked the girl. She hasn't heard of such a name from the Supernatural world besides Joan of Arc.
"I'm not French," said Jaune. And nothing else.
"Okay…I'm Xenovia Quarta," said Xenovia. After her interest was piqued, she introduced herself.
Jaune looked at Xenovia, then at her sword.
"Your sword, it's a fragment, isn't it?" asked Jaune. He was someone well-versed in making magic weapons. The sword in Xenovia's hand was missing parts of itself.
Xenovia did not answer Jaune. Instead, she became wary of him.
Seeing the changes in Xenovia, Jaune decided to make it known that he was not interested in a third-rate weapon.
"You have nothing to be wary about. I have no interest in taking your third-rate sword," said Jaune. He can make more powerful weapons than the word she carries. He even has thousands of Noble Phantasm in his storage that outperform her garbage sword. The only reason he took interest in it is because of the reaction of Excalibur.
Xenovia was angered.
"What did you say? Did you call my weapon a third-rate weapon? I'll have you know that my sword is one of the greatest Holy Swords to exist!" said Xenovia. Although Excalibur Destruction is not her go-to weapon, she was a proud wielder of the sword.
Jaune raised an eyebrow at Xenovia's words.
"Right…One of the greatest Holy Swords. I'm sorry, but that sword does not have the right to be called one of the greatest Holy Swords in my eyes," said Jaune. He can crush the sword with one of his older swords, one that he made when he was only starting as a blacksmith.
"Hmph! As if you have a weapon that can match my Excalibur Destruction," sneered Xenovia. The guy may have saved her, but he insulted one of the greatest weapons of Heaven.
Jaune smiled at Xenovia and took out countless Holy Swords from his Inventory.
These swords were either given to him by Gilgamesh from the Gate of Babylon or weapons he forged. There were thousands.
It was not only Xenovia that was shocked.
No doubt, the weapons that they were seeing with their own eyes outclasses any Excalibur fragments.
They should be glad that Jaune did not take out Excalibur for them to see.
