Earth 1318
This wall is huge. Even Harry the Pug agreed as it let out a bark and snapped at the weird shaped trellis made up of odd vines and plants that cascaded down from the top of the structures.
Nothing but concrete boundaries on all sides as each opening formed some weirdly shaped patterns and walkaways. Thankfully, Stiles and his friends were all still together.
"How high do you think the walls are?" Allison asked her father.
"I'm estimating sixteen feet in some areas," Chris Argent commented. "But we just passed that one walkway internally that went 200 to 300 feet down. That step is going to be a doozy."
Melissa turned to Kuza. "Why did your powers send us here?"
Kuza shrugged. "Again this portal travel thing between worlds isn't always predictable. You never know where you'll end up."
Sheriff Stilinksi jumped in. "It did send us inside some weird labyrinth or maze-like container. I don't know why but I'm not seeing any human life around so finding an Eli or Derek in this world is like looking for a needle in a haystack."
"Chris is right," nodded Scott McCall. "This place looks dystopian so I'm assuming there isn't any human life around."
Kuza disagreed. "There has to be. My powers sense the Beast near and it wouldn't bother entering in this universe if it didn't sense a Hale connection."
They walked around the bizarre structure for a few minutes, Stiles carrying Harry in his arms, as they came across an entrance of the maze which led to an open clearing with four pathways on each corner of the area. The group then plotted their next move.
"Which way?" Stiles asked everyone. "North, south, east, or west?"
"I say north," Chris suggested.
Scott sniffed the air. "For some reason, my gut tells me west."
"East looks safer," Melissa offered.
"Though the south might head out of this place," the sheriff remarked. "Son, your move."
Harry the pug barked toward the east entrance. They looked in that direction of the opening to see a disheveled teen version of Stiles with a group of boys running across that entrance. The group looked scared as they disappeared into another corridor of the labyrinth.
"I think I just found this world's doppelganger," Stiles noted. "East it is."
No one debated and entered the east opening. Upon entering the pathway, a rumble could be heard as they noticed one of the concrete barriers slowly start to move.
"Oh shit!" yelled Scott. "The walls are moving!"
"Everybody run!" Sheriff Stilinski screamed.
Everybody followed suit and raced down the pathway as the barriers began turning, spinning and connecting, obstructing their path. Panicked and unsure of where to go, they dodged the oncoming walls closing in on them and kept sprinting hoping the weight of this huge structure did not crush them to death. As they followed each other through the maze, they finally came to another open region as they watched the last piece of wall shut behind them, trapping them in this particular location.
They rested and tried to catch their breaths.
"What the fuck was that?" Stiles gasped as he gently put down Harry who whimpered next to him. The FBI agent petted him for comfort.
"Traps," said Kuza.
"No shit," scowled Chris. "Who the hell built this place? Some sadistic fuck?"
"Someone who wanted to imprison living people," Allison thought. "We saw Stiles's twin version with a group of boys. There are still humans living in this world."
Melissa placed a hand to her chest. "But why subject anyone to these kinds of torture. What happened to this universe?"
Scott shrugged. "Who knows but if humans are living inside this maze, it can't be good."
Shrieks and eerie roars could be heard from behind the walls. One of the barriers opened up to show a twin Stiles and a group of boys running toward their direction. Teen twin Stiles stopped for a second when he saw a reflection of himself staring back at him, but more polished and older, while Stiles looked back at him too in wonder. Teen Stiles realized his objective and shouted at the group.
"Grievers!"
Scott scratched his head at what twin Stiles was saying. "Weevils?"
Twin Stiles shook his head. "No! Grievers! Run! Run!"
The maze opened up on the other side, twin Stiles and his group of boys darted inside and disappeared down the corridor. Unsure what was happening, Scott looked down the pathway the boys were originally running from to see a trio of shadows shrieking from the entrance.
Coming into the light were grotesque spider-like monsters on tiny spindly legs racing toward them and they did not look friendly.
"Weapons ready!" Kuza instructed the pack. Whipping out her katana, she held her stance while the Argents and the sheriff got their guns, bows and arrows ready. Next to them, Scott in Alpha form readied his claws and roared at the monsters. On the other side, Melissa stood Stiles while holding a frightened Harry in her arms, while Stiles pulled out his gun and raised it toward the Grievers.
The three Grievers stopped, roared, as a flash of light appeared and a wisp of shadow came out of the portal. The Beast, still holding a sleeping Eli, on his shoulder jumped in front the trio of creatures and roared. Dropping an unconscious Eli to the floor, he challenged the grotesque monsters.
"Here's our chance," Sheriff Stilinski told his friends. "The Beast is distracted. We can grab Eli!"
They took this opportunity to gain their advantage. One of the Grievers pounced on the Beast but proved ten times stronger. It snapped its maw at the shadowy monster but each contact only struck air as its spindly, metal legs dangled the the moment the Beast seized it by the throat and began choking it. The second Griever went on the offensive and struck its piercing stinger into the smoky thing but caused no damage.
Noticing it busy with two of its opponents, Stiles and Melissa quickly ran, dropping Harry who followed them, and began pulling an unconscious Eli to safety. However, they forgot about the last Griever as it ran toward them and blocked their path.
Luckily, the pack was ready. Using her katana, Kuza slashed at the face of the Griever, causing a bit of lightning to slash at the throat while Allison shot an arrow into the eye causing permanent blindness. Chris and the sheriff shot two bullets into the stomach as the thing toppled over while Scott's claws finished it off with a deep gash across the Griever's back. Finally, it was dead.
On the other side, the Beast had disposed of the first Griever by tearing it in half while it smashed the second into the ground with its feet and claws. Realizing that he had been duped into leaving his prisoner unattended, it noticed the pack darting away with a sleeping Eli as the kitsune banged her katana, cracked her tails and opened up another portal that allowed each of them to escape.
A rumble could be heard as the tall walls of the labyrinth began to close in again. The Beast roared as he watched each of Stiles's friends escape through Kuza's portal with Eli, leaving now only Stiles who picked up Harry the pug and flipped the bird to the monster.
"Kiss my ass, Beast!" Stiles laughed as he jumped into the portal with Harry until they both vanished.
The Beast roared again, lit up his own portal, and lunged in as the walls around him finally closed.
Earth 1213
Water surrounded him. Despite the sunny sky overhead, Stiles tried to see through the murky liquid as sand and salt burned through his eyes. He saw Harry the pug's little legs struggling to tread to the surface and he swam up to grab him. He grabbed the pooch and broke through the top of the water as he bobbed and up and down, his arms and legs treading through the sea's waves as he took a breath and tried to get his bearings. Thankfully, he was a good swimmer.
Looking around he saw he was a few feet from shore and carrying the pug in one arm, he let the ocean current push him toward the tide until he reached the shallow part of the beach. From there he was able to stand and slosh toward the beach as he collapsed on the sand while gently dropping Harry on to the ground.
Coughing out the last of the salt water, he pushed his dripping hair out of his eyes as he heard Harry bark at something laying out on the shore and slowly moving.
It was Eli.
"Eli!" Stiles gasped. He raced down the beach to check on the young man.
Eli moaned for a bit, trying to adjust his eyes as the sun blinded him. Feeling his clothes drenched, he ignored the uncomfortable feeling and looked up to see Stiles leaning down on him.
"Hey, buddy," Stiles addressed the teenager. "How are you feeling?"
Eli shook his head, felt the lick of Harry's tongue on his face and slowly got up. "Like I got hit by a tank." He shook ocean water out of his ears as he finally stood up and tried to make sense of where they were. "What is this place?"
Stiles shrugged. "Not sure yet. We still need to find the others."
Before they could formulate that plan, they heard a shout coming from the ocean.
"Stiles! Stiles!"
The pair focused their attention only a few feet away as they saw their friends appearing in the shallow end of the beach, being pushed forward by the waves, soaked and carrying their dripping duffel bags of weaponry as they marched to the shoreline towards them.
Once they reached the beach, they dropped their things and rested, wet, and exhausted, as Scott and Allison went over and began to embrace Eli.
"We thought we'd never get you back," said Allison, releasing him.
"Care to fill me in on what I miss?" Eli asked the couple. "All I remember is being thrown by some monster and waking up to this place that could be Hawaii."
"Far from it," said Kuza. "Let me give you a short summary." And she did, from the Beast's Hale connection to her as a kitsune who can teleport through multidimensional worlds.
Eli was surprised and awed by the information but also worried that he and his father's bloodline is connected to making this Beast a true God. He folded his arms. "Did you guys really travel through different earths?"
"Two so far," the sheriff informed him. "One with a weird modern New York setting and the other some dystopian world."
"Yeah," Stiles nodded. "The maze running thing was a bit much."
Melissa McCall then noted something she witnessed. "Are you sure we're not time traveling to the past?" Her statement sounded bizarre. "Look!" She pointed to the huge castle atop the cliff nearby. It was majestic but historical.
Kuza nodded. "Well, each world is different like I said. The past could be the present and the future could be of the modern time. This castle and its inhabitants might look from a certain time period but it's within the same timeline."
A galloping of horses could be heard in the distance.
"Quick!" Kuza advised, pointing to a stack of large boulders by the edge of the shore. "Let's hide behind those rocks before anyone sees us! Give me some time to draw enough power to create another portal since the Beast is now tracking us!'
They agreed and ran to the rock structure that concealed them. Watching a group of soldiers in what appeared to be in Victorian era garb on horseback, they scoured the edge of the shore as the clouds overhead started to gather.
"Looks like another storm is brewing, Captain," said one soldier to their leader.
"This doesn't look good," noted the Captain. "Our prince is in danger of the sea gods and most likely will face their wrath if his ship won't return."
"Captain, look over there!"
The soldier pointed to the other side of the beach to see the waves push a figure until it washed up on to the shore. The soldiers began to ride toward the body, stopped their horses, and got off as they ran to the person.
"It's the prince!" The Captain declared. He touched the neck of the figure and discovered a pulse before turning him over. "He's still alive!"
The moment they turned over the prince's body, Eli saw his face and his mouth dropped. "Dad?" He started to run to him before Stiles pulled him back by the arm.
"That's not your father!" Stiles declared. "It might look like him but trust me, it's not! It's a different world. Different universe. It's not the same guy here!"
Saddened, Eli sadly clutched the edge of the rock to which the FBI agent squeezed his shoulder.
"I know you miss your father," sighed Stiles. "So do I but we got to play it safe as we world jump. We don't know what any of our clones are like."
A splash was heard on the other side of the beach as the group saw, to their surprise, another figure coming out of the water and settling on another hidden rock nearby. Immediately, the group's eyes widened.
"Is that?" Allison asked Scott. "Am I seeing things?"
Scott nodded. "I see it too!"
"It's a fucking mermaid!" Chris noted.
"But not just any mermaid," the sheriff gasped. "It's…"
"Stiles!" Eli finished the sentence in shock.
Sure enough, this version of Stiles was a mermaid, or merman to be more politically correct, with a shimmering rainbow tail and long sleek red hair.
"Damn, I look good!" Stiles remarked, smiling proudly. His friends glared at him but he ignored their stares. "You guys are all haters." He mumbled.
Mermaid Stiles perched himself on other rock as waves crashed around him as he sang his song to an unconscious Prince Derek.
"I got poppers and butt beads a-plenty
Ketamine and Ecstacy galore
You want GHB or Meth?
I got twenty.
I'm down to cruisin' or Grindr
Cause I'm a whore…
Together we'll slay
Together we spill tea and shade
And sashay away…
Out of the sea
You can have my bussy…
Cause I am that girl…."
"What the fuck was that?" Stiles clucked his tongue. "I'm a slutty mermaid?"
Everyone said nothing, still shocked by Mermaid Stiles's lyrics.
"What's a bussy?" Eli asked the group,
"Yeah, what is a bussy?" Allison added to the question. "Scott, do you know what a bussy is?"
Scott kept quiet while the sheriff shook his head and Chris closed his mouth. Only Melissa dared to explain.
"You guys are all cowards when it comes to sex," Melissa began. "In gay terminology, bussy is a slang term referring to the male anatomy that is similar to a woman's vagi…"
She was interrupted the moment a crack of light appeared on the rock next to Mermaid Stiles. The Beast appeared through the portal, causing the merman to scream in horror but it was too late. The monster grabbed Mermaid Stiles by the tail, bludgeoned his head so hard against the rock before tossing the dead mythical creature back into the ocean.
Blood soaked the water as the corpse sank into the depths and washed away back into the sea. The Beast roared before opening another portal and jumping into it.
"Shit!" Stiles remarked. "The Beast killed me…I mean the mermaid side of me!"
"Thank God, it didn't see us," Melissa noted.
"That's the least of our worries," said Kuza. She pointed toward the ocean. Coming out of the water was another mermaid figure, this time regal, but sporting a really enraged look on his face. Noah Stilinski was the first to recognize the figure.
"Fuck!" He shouted. "It's a version of me."
The regal sea sheriff sported his fish tail, as he rode upon a whale carrying a trident in his hand. He appeared royally pissed.
"Humans of the Land!" The Sea Sheriff announced. "You have invaded and polluted our seas and now you have murdered my heir, and prince of the throne of the Seven Seas, Stariel! I am King Noahsidon, Sea God and Monarch of the Oceans, and I shall make you pay!"
"Noahsidon? Stariel?" The sheriff scoffed. "Seriously, what kinds of names of those in this universe?"
"One to be feared," Kuza noted. "Look again!"
The sound of a horn came from the Captain as hundreds of soldiers came by horseback and began racing from the mountain and down to the beach. A war was soon to begin between the land and sea.
"Pesky humans!" King Noahsidon sneered. "You shall feel my wrath!" He struck down his trident until the clouds turned fully black. Thunder and lightning erupted from the oncoming storm as hail and rain poured down from the sky.
"Is that all you got, Sea King?" The Captain taunted the ocean god.
"Just wait," sneered Noahsidon. He raised his hands high and bellowed. "RELEASE THE KAREN!"
Stiles scratched his head. "Doesn't he mean, release the Kraken?"
Eli was the first to point out the correction. "Uh..no he was right."
Sure enough, out of the bottomless depths in the distance came a titanic-sized human female head with short, red hair as it arose from the water until it was full upright waist side in the ocean. Tentacles protruded from its body as it slapped the waves hard causing a huge tsunami in the water. Only Allison was more concerned as she recognized the face.
"Mom?" Her mouth dropped.
Chris came to comfort his daughter. "Allison, you should know that your mother can be a Karen sometimes. I think this universe only showcases that ugly side of her personality. Don't read too much into it!"
The Karen bellowed as it splashed another wave, this time causing an even bigger ripple which brought a force of water on the shore. It was her intention to drown out the entire land. The soldiers gathered with rifles, muskets, and cannons from warships nearby firing but it was no use as the behemoth splashed another wave and took them out.
"I think it's time to go!" Kuza advised. She snapped her katana until another light portal opened behind her.
Harry the pooch jumped in first.
Eli followed suit. "The dog agrees." He commented before leaping in.
Everyone else did the same as Kuza became the last person to enter the doorway. She looked behind as the entire land was drenched by huge waves of destruction.
Luckily, she was not going to be a part of it.
