Earth 1220

Lying face down, Stiles felt the dry dust of dirt filling his mouth and spit it out as he sat up and wiped off the remnants of the grainy material that stuck to his lips. He looked down, noticed Harry the pug curiously wagging his tail and staring up at him. The FBI agent noticed a flick of dust on him and wiped it away from his fur.

"Is this heaven, Harry?" He asked the pooch. He looked around, saw piles of scattered, broken concrete and dilapidated buildings and got up. Carrying Harry, he went to explore. "Maybe this is hell?" He saw a torn poster of an upcoming Nickelback concert and sighed. "Yeah, definitely, hell."

Walking through demolished vehicles and more piles of rubble, he went to look for civilization. He shouted, "Hello!" and got no response until around the corner a group, wearing peasant looking outfits, began racing toward him.

Panicked, one of them, an old woman began to speak a foreign language as he passed him.

"I'm sorry," he said in English. "I don't speak your language!"

The old woman turned around and frantically signaled the only language she knew. "Run!" Stiles looked up to see something otherworldly garbed in metal flying overhead and shot a beam toward a series of buildings. The already brittle buildings began to collapse as the old woman and her companions screamed and tried to dodge the falling debris. Dust and dirt covered them as they disappeared into frenzied attack.

Stiles looked up again to see more of these alien type things destroying areas of the city, held Harry tightly and began running everywhere as did everyone else that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He darted to the area away from the assault as he tried to find a safe place to hide.

"Shit!" He said to Harry. "We've been dropped into an extraterrestrial invasion! Gotta find a good hiding spot."

Another explosion from above as more of the alien enemies blew up more structures. Glass, steel, and stone flew everywhere as the FBI agent hurdled over a concrete divider on the road in order to find an open space away from the collapsing buildings. Racing to what seemed a safe spot, he was greeted by a large insectoid decked out in armor. It said some unknown language before releasing a deadly beam of light from its tiny tentacles. Stiles knew there was no other way to run to, held Harry tight, and closed his eyes awaiting the lethal ray coming toward him.

An ethereal scream shook through him as something invisible blasted at the alien enemy and knocked him back. Stiles opened his eyes to see a familiar face with reddish hair, wearing a mask and a sleek silver jumpsuit.

"Lydia?" He asked his rescuer.

"It's Linda," smiled the heroine. "But I prefer to go by the Silver Siren!"

"Silver Siren?" Stiles's mouth dropped and he drifted his gaze from the Lydia twin to a group of allies also donning superhero costumes and ready to battle the insectoid enemy. Behind her, was Issac decked in heavy artillery and clutching a crossbow. Erica in golden armor and a helmet holding a spear and a glowing whip. Boyd armed in a techsuit and sporting a jetpack that allowed him to fly through the air. However, it was their leader that caught his attention. Donning a star spangled outfit and wielding a patriotic shield, this version of Derek Hale gathered his teammates.

"Protect the innocents!" Derek from this universe instructed. He then made one final call. "Paladins Unite!"

The supergroup went after the alien insect. Star spangled Derek smashed it with his shield while armored Erica held it in place with her whip, leaving Boyd and Issac to blast it with their lasers and arrows. The insectoid exploded into a puddle of goo.

"Eww!" Stiles cringed. "I've been slimed!" He looked down at the disgusting residue that covered his shirt. "I wonder how you wash out alien bugs?"

"You're safe now, citizen!" The star spangled Derek declared. "I, Statesman of the Paladin, assure you of that!" His green eyes suddenly saw through the dust covering Stiles's face as he let down his guard. "Misha? Why are you in civilian clothes? You're supposed to be defending the people on the southside of the invasion point!" This person called the Statesman gently touched his face. "Look, I know you're still angry about our fight a few days ago but this really isn't time to disregard your duties."

"Ahem," Linda, aka Silver Siren, cleared her throat. "I just got orders from base. The enemy is gathering north of the city. Leader wants The Archer, Tech Titan, Venus, and you to assist with the agents there."

"What about Misha?" The Statesman pointed to Stiles.

"I will escort Misha back to base," The Silver Siren ordered. "Leader will want a word with him."

"Good luck," snorted clone Derek. Stiles was about to walk away when the Statesman grabbed his arm, pulled him close and kissed him. Butterflies danced inside Stiles's stomach as the hero pulled away and grinned. "Something to remember me by." All Stiles could do was silently nod.

Then quickly as he came, Stiles watched as Derek's twin and his teammates rushed back into the battlefield. Now alone, Linda the heroine folded her arms and looked him up and down.

"It's uncanny how you're a variation of my bestie," she remarked. "Am I your BFF in your homeworld too?"

"And potential girlfriend," Stiles shrugged, surprised that this superheroine had knowledge of alternative universes. "For some reason, it could never work out between us, even with my version of Statesman."

"Figures!" She rolled her eyes.

"By the way," Stiles wondered. "How did you know I wasn't this Misha person in your world?"

"He told me you were coming," she admitted. "I was prepared where you were going to be. Too bad it had to be during an alien attack. Now let's get to base and keep you safe. My version of Misha wants to meet you!"

Together with Harry, they dodged the bug extraterrestrials as they descended upon the city. Up above, Stiles saw huge ships hovering in the sky and gulped.

The base was a series of trucks and trailers on the southwest edge of the warzone. The moment Stiles entered the building, he was embraced by Scott, Allison, Chris, Melissa, and his dad.

"Oh thank God!" The sheriff almost teared up. "I thought we lost you!"

Confused, Stiles looked at his friends. "Where did you end up? Where's Kuza?"

Scott shrugged. "We don't know. We're not able to locate her ever since we got ported to the eastside of the city. Thankfully, this strange team picked us and brought us here."

"Though we're not sure where we are," Chris jumped in. They all looked around to see various operatives in military garb checking computer monitors and discussing battle strategies. "We're not even sure which earth we're on!"

"You're on Earth 1220! Our universe!"

All eyes turned to an imposing woman in tactical garb, sporting an eyepatch and her hair cut short. Melissa examined the stranger closer and knew exactly who it was.

"Hello Melissa McCall," said the woman with a serious tone. "I'm you in this universe. My name is Missy Furious, better known as Leader in this world. I oversee an organization called K. N. I. G. H. T, which stands for the Knowledge Network International Guardian Hero Team. We're a covert, elite group sanctioned by the earth's governments to protect the planet from global, magical, otherworldly, and extraterrestrial threats!"

"How did you know we were coming?" Allison asked the stern Melissa clone.

"We have a magical department that can see into infinite earths." She informed them. "We foresaw you coming into our world and prepared for your homecoming. I apologize for being teleported into the middle of an alien attack but when it comes to the Arthro'Nari, they care nothing for human life."

Chris rubbed his chin. "Arthro'Nari? Is that what these bug eyed aliens are called?"

Missy Furious pressed a button on the computer to reveal the entire solar system on the monitors. She pointed to the area that once was Pluto. "In that region, the Arthro'Nari's planet is dying and the only livable planet to terraform and populate their race is Earth. However, they need to eradicate all living beings on it in order to inhabit it. That's why they're here! They're not exactly friendly, as you can see!"

"But they're not easy to exterminate," Stiles commented. "I mean I came face to face with one and it took an entire team to take it out!"

"True," Missy grinned. "But I've recruited capable heroes, superpowered individuals with extraordinary gifts to assist us in this fight. This proposal that was approved by the United Nations was called Paladin, a defensive organization of superheroes to assist us in protecting the earth." She pushed another button to showcase the different areas of the warzone.

On the screen appeared Hayden Romero, but a different version of her calling herself the assassin, the Red Sparrow who blasted the insectoids with her dual pistols. Next to her was Theo and his twin sister, Tara, calling themselves, The Gemini, with earth shattering laser powers when they held hands. Meredith on this world is Ms. Psyche, a powerful psionic and telepath. While Tamara Monroe is a refugee alien from the deep recesses of space and had cosmic and flight capabilities under the guide of the Galactic Guardian.

Missy Furious pushed another button showcasing this world's version of Mason, decked out in tribal robes and calling himself the Tempest with weather controlling powers. Jackson Whittemore became the Reptile, a shapeshifting creature with claws and a tail. Danny Mahealani was the Sea King, a royal from the mythical underwater kingdom of Lemuria with ocean based abilities. Finally, Liam made an appearance as a speedster hero named Mercury who darted through the battlefield to save the lives of many of the city's residents.

"As you can see," the Leader commented. "We have numerous heroes and heroines under Paladin which is a necessity during a time of crisis like this one. The names may be different in our universe but their faces haven't changed."

"But why bring us here to your universe?" Scott asked. "We have to find Kuza and complete our mission."

"I"m afraid that's not possible, Mr. McCall. The Kuzunoha is not here in our world."

All eyes turned to see a wise presence standing before them in green medieval garb and wearing a long cape. There before them stood Stiles but with his hair longer, darker, with flecks of gray in the beard he sported. He nodded at the group.

"Holy cow!" Stiles gasped. "You're the version of me that could be Gandalf!"

This Stiles laughed. "Thank you. I'll take it as a compliment. Actually, my name is Mieczylaw Stanislavsky or Misha for short. I go by the moniker, Emerald Wizard, here. Like the kitsune, I have vast magical abilities!"

"Can you help us find Kuza?" Scott asked the sorcerer. "I know she's the only one that could teleport us through worlds but can you do the same?"

"I can," said Misha. "But first, you must remember something more important." He waved his hand as a flash of green sparks appeared before everyone. Suddenly, the memories came flooding back.

"Oh crap!" Stiles gasped. "We forgot about Eli! Ever since we left that fantasy world and jumped into the portal, we totally forgot about him when we entered that zany spy world" He covered his mouth and pleaded to the sorcerer. "Please, you got to send us back to rescue him."

Misha calmly raised his hand. "Not to worry. I am the Majestic Magician and it is my job to look through the infinite worlds to see that everything remains on track. I'm fully aware of the Beast's plans of becoming the ultimate deity and took it upon myself to hide away Eli in another universe for safekeeping."

The sheriff glared at Misha. "So you know which universe he's in?"

The Emerald Wizard nodded. "Of course, I put them there. When you jumped from that dragon fantasyland, I cast a spell to take him to your final journey of the multiverse. It would confuse the Beast for a while but I needed to stall the location so I could temporarily wipe your minds clean so that the Beast can't track the world you jumped into."

"But Kuza is the only one able to create the magic to portal jump, "the sheriff replied. "Now we're stuck in this world and won't be able to reach Eli."

"Not so," grinned Misha. "I can duplicate the spell to get you to the correct universe but you still have to prevent the Beast from fulfilling the prophecy and killing off Derek Hale and his son. He already has Kuza imprisoned but he can't use her tail magic since her katana was destroyed."

"The Beast has Kuza?" Melissa asked the Emerald Wizard.

"Yes," nodded Misha. "But it needs some of her kitsune magic to ensure that the ritual is fulfilled so the Beast won't kill her. You must go into that universe and ensure the Beast's defeat in order to save your and everyone else's universe."

Chris scratched his head. "If you're this powerful magician, why can't you stop the beast yourself, since you're technically a superhero."

Misha smiled and folded his hand in front of him. "It isn't my destiny. Every time travel and interdimensional travel point has a path that must be followed by the players involved. You and Kuza's Circle of Soldiers must journey on your quest to fulfill your mission and must not deviate from the path. If I interfere, it would mean changing my or even your universe. Besides, I'm needed here. I'm the hero of this world and it is my job to protect it."

"That's a load of crap!" The sheriff rolled his eyes. "Shouldn't heroes be helping others?"

"Certainly," nodded the Emerald Wizard. "But again this isn't my story to tell. It's yours and I cannot intervene. I can, however, get you to where you need to go."

Missy Furious interrupted. "Then it's settled. The Emerald Wizard and Silver Siren will assist in getting these outworlders back to their right dimension and we will concentrate on stopping these alien invaders." She nodded to a quartet of K. N. I. G. H. T. soldiers. "Serve as back up for our heroes and protect them until this side mission is complete!"

All the soldiers saluted and yelled. "Yes, mam!"

Stiles once again scooped up Harry the pug in his arms and exhaled. "I guess we're going on another adventure."

Outside the base, the ships in the sky increased revealing even more threats as a huge mothership appeared and out of it the bug-eyed aliens launched themselves into the devastated city. Screams of the fearful population echoed as explosions and falling debris came from all around.

"Exactly, where are we?" The sheriff asked the Emerald Wizard and Silver Siren. "This doesn't look like any city in the U. S.!"

A destructive beam of light smashed a building nearby. The K. N. I. G. H. T. soldiers pointed their weapons and scanned the area for impending threats.

"That's because we're not!" The Silver Siren shouted through the noise. "We're in an Eastern block country called Zagrevo in the center of Europe. The Anthro'Nari lost a power source somewhere in the city and need it to start the terraforming process and are searching for it!"

"Our goal is to get to it first," replied Misha. "So far no luck."

"And you can do that magic doohickey thing to find it?" Stiles stared at his twin self.

The Emerald Wizard laughed. "Trust me I tried. The aliens must've put a protective barrier around it so even my magicks can't locate it. So, we're doing it the old fashion way."

"Guys!" Scott called out. "We got company!"

Four cockroach bugs in metallic flew at them as they shot beams of light toward their direction. Stiles slammed his father to the ground for cover while Scott and Chris grabbed Melissa and Allison pulled them toward a large broken, concrete slab on the street. It served as a temporary shield as more beams of light shot at them cracking the foundation. Harry the pug? Well, smartly, he barked and ran behind the Emerald Wizard and the Silver Siren.

The K. N. I. G. H. T. guards open-fired at the insectoid aliens but their Earth weapons did very little damage leaving it up to the real heroes to step in. Linda, the Silver Siren, did a cartwheel and dodged an oncoming beam of the two aliens and stood up to release an earth shattering scream. The vibrational waves shook the pair of cockroaches causing them to explode into goo.

It was now the last two roaches. Deadly beams were fired at Misha who wiggled his hands forming a glowing green light as the beams struck a sage colored forcefield and could not be penetrated. Then with another wiggle of his fingers, the final two roaches were wrapped up in an emerald hues of color as something unseen pounded their bodies together harder and faster repeatedly until they slammed into nothing but a puddly mess of ooze.

"Holy shit!" Stiles gasped. "You're a badass!"

"Thanks," smiled Misha. He quickly tossed off the compliment and turned serious. "There are more coming. We're running out of time. I need to get your friends safely into the center of the city. There is a precise magical point where I can cast a portal spell that will take you to the exact universe to find Eli and Kuza!"

Everyone agreed. They followed the K. N. I. G. H. T. crew through the battle zone of Zagrevo as the Anthro'Nari destroyed and tore down buildings and massacred innocents. The group wanted to stay in help but time was running out as the Paladin heroes were busy saving and stopping the alien threat. They finally came across the center of the city as Misha pointed to a tall bank building that was nearly destroyed by the extraterrestrial spaceships.

"Quickly!" The Emerald Wizard announced. "The magic center point is inside that building. I have to cast the spell before it is entirely demolished!"

"That's gonna be hard," noted Scott as a large group of Anthro'Nari guarded the building carrying weapons. From centipedes, roaches, and even beetles, they look menacing and dangerous.

"We can't fight them all!" The Silver Siren covered her mouth worried.

"We are losing time," replied Misha. "I need to activate the portal magicks in that building!"

Melissa McCall noticed something falling from the opposite building. Even Harry the pug who was being carried in her arms saw it too as he barked at it. Estimated at eight feet tall, it was huge, bulky, muscular, and orange and released a feral roar.

"I think we're in trouble!" Melissa noted seeing the thing coming down. "It might one of those Anthro'Nari!"

The Emerald Wizard looked up and grinned. "Nope. That's the calvary. He's on our side and he's arrived!"

Sure enough the big hulking thing pounced on to the ground, causing a tremor. With blind rage, it attacked the Anthro'Nari with brute strength as he threw, slammed and tore apart each of the insectoid villains guarding the bank building. The group watched in awe and horror as the orange thing violently massacred the enemy as a one man killing machine in such a blind rage that it looked at them next after he had finished with the bugs.

"Guys!" Stiles bit his lip. "I think that orange thing is going to kill us next!"

The orange hulk growled as it slowly marched toward them. Despite the group cringing in fear, Misha and Linda stood their ground calmly as the thing walked up and stared at them curiously.

"Good boy," purred the Silver Siren. She gently patted the thing's arm who growled but did not attack. "Everyone this is our Paladin protege, Mr. Hyde. He's related to the legendary famous Dr. Jekyll. He carries the Hyde gene that forces him to monster out when he gets angry. Basically, another enemy alien race abducted him, did weird experiments on him which turned him into Mr. Hyde. Yeah, he has an aggressive streak but he's important on the battlefield, ain't that right, Victor Argent?" She patted his arm again and the Hyde hulk blushed with a weird grin. "That's a good boy!"

Chris's and Allison's mouths dropped. "Victor Argent? Like Victoria Argent?" They noticed the resemblance to Victoria.

Misha shrugged. "I mean people we know are sometimes gender swapped in other universes. Why not this one too?"

Linda patted Hyde's arm again. "Okay, Hyde. Go kill the bad alien bugs and K. N. I. G. H. T. will give you a treat!"

Hyde nodded excitedly, roared, and leaped back into the battlefield as he joined his comrades inside the city's warzone. Now that the bank building was vacant, Misa led the way inside as they walked down a hallway and into the vault of the establishment.

"All right, this is the place." He said to the team.

Stiles held Harry as he watched the Emerald Wizard prepare himself. "Um, before we go, there's something you should know." He felt guilty about the exchange with Statesman.

Misha clucked his tongue. "You kissed Statesman or, rather, he kissed you. I know, Stiles. Remember, I can see into the future."

"But aren't you mad?" He asked with hesitation. "It's sort of like cheating."

"Did you bump uglies?" The Emerald Sorcerer rolled his eyes.

Stiles shook his head.

"Then technically, it's not cheating," Misa explained. "Besides, he doesn't understand about multiverses so he's just as innocent in the situation as you are." He paused. "Look, me and the Statesman are immortal. He was a government experiment during World War I and became an international, patriotic superhero. Me?" He snickered. "I'm the grandson of the mythical Merlin Pendragon and lived centuries helping and saving humanity and mortals. We both have our issues, our ups and downs, but we make our relationship work because we love each other." He turned to Stiles. "I hope you find the same with someone in any universe. Just because you lost someone in your world doesn't mean you stop living. Learn to love again, Stiles Stilinski."

"I will," Stiles whispered a promise.

"Good," the Emerald Wizard agreed. "Now let's get this show on the road…"

He was interrupted by the building shaking. Another attack in the vicinity meant that this structure would not hold long.

"Quickly!" He ordered. "I have to cast this spell! Gather in a circle!"

The Circle of Soldiers did as they were told and formed the shape. Wiggling his fingers, the Emerald Wizard chanted a strange incantation revealing glowing sigil on the floor. Green and emerald colors swirled around them as the light from the floor began to grow brighter and blinding. Harry the pug barked as pieces of the ceiling started to come down. Plaster and dust fell around them.

A crackling of light and loud thunder surrounded them as the light finally became blinding, forcing everyone to close their eyes. The rumbling finally was earth shattering as concrete, wood and metal was collapsing around them.

The building was finally falling and burying them with it.

Finally, the light transformed into darkness.
