Time was stopped.
However, the time stop was not all that powerful. Jaune could ignore it and did not even know he was hit with the power.
Outside the window, Azazel saw that there were people.
"Terrorists," informed Azazel. He knew that something like this was going to happen. Hence, he wanted to make peace right away. "They shouldn't be able to damage us here, thanks to the defensive barrier we set up."
"How did they stop time?" asked Hyoudou Issei. He only knows one person that can stop time.
"I guess that little half-vampire had great potential power, even if he couldn't freeze us."
Rias was angry.
"The terrorists are in the old school building, using my Gasper as a weapon!" shouted Rias. She was pissed.
Azazel looked out the window again and saw that the army the three factions brought were frozen in time. He said, "Looks like our forces stationed outside are all frozen too. Your Peerage is frighteningly powerful."
Sona sighed. Everything was going so well. She then looked at Jaune. She had a hunch. So, she asked.
"Jaune, do you think you could stop the power of the time stop?" asked Sona.
"Sure," said Jaune. He stomped his foot, and power emanated from it, stopping the time-stop ability.
Everyone felt power flow from Jaune. Suddenly, the forces were able to move. When they regained movement, they attacked the magicians outside, killing them all.
"H-How did you do that?" asked Rias. She could not believe someone was able to negate the time-stop ability for everyone.
"It's easy; I merely overpower the ability to stop time," said Jaune. He made it sound as if it was that simple.
"I knew it," said Sona. She was smiling. "It was a good thing I asked."
Issei looked outside the window and was shocked.
"W-Wow, they took out all the terrorists in a flash," said Issei. However, he saw more magicians teleporting inside the school's barrier.
"They're appearing inside the barrier," said Azazel. "That means one of them must have a gate connecting this territory to the outside. They sure did dedicate a considerable force to this attack. Reinforcement as soon as one wave falls, another appears. Given the terrorists' impeccable timing and tactics, they almost knew who's here. Maybe we have a traitor."
"Can't we get away, somehow?" asked Issei.
Sirzechs and Serafall shook their heads.
Jaune was getting annoyed with this noise. Ophis was sleeping in his arms and did not want to wake her. The noise these people are making is going to wake her.
Jaune destroyed all the magic in the area. Then he placed a new one to lock the space around them to ensure no one could teleport to their location.
"What was that?" asked Issei. All he saw was the barrier being destroyed, then the magic circle teleporting the magicians. And then, new magic was made, and no more terrorists were coming.
"No more of them will be able to teleport here," said Jaune. He was checking to make sure that Ophis was still asleep. "I locked the space. The only way for any to come to Kuoh is by…well, coming here the traditional way. I don't want anyone disturbing Ophis' sleep."
Suddenly, there was a magical pressure. It was Vali; he activated his balance breaker.
"Seems like I've lost my edge," said Azazel. He never thought that the traitor he was suspecting was Vali. "By why betray me, Vali?".
"Sorry, Azazel, but these guys are more fun," said Vali. By creating discord, he would be able to fight powerful people.
The sudden burst of pressure earlier caused debris to fly toward Ophis. Jaune caught it without a problem, but that doesn't change the fact that she was nearly hit.
"You know," said Jaune. Everyone looked in his direction. He conjured a bed, tucked in Ophis, and created many protective spells. "I don't care about your shit. You could have taken it outside, but you decided to activate your ability here and nearly caused debris to hit Ophis."
"Ah! Yes, Jaune Arc," said Vali. Ever since he met the man when he was tasked with the retrieval of Kokabiel, he has been excited to fight him. Yet, in his mind, something told him to back off quickly, which he ignored.
[Partner! What are you doing? Get away from here, now!] shouted the dragon in his Sacred Gear. The dragon was smart, following his instinct and wanting to flee, but it was not up to him.
"Relax, Albion," said Vali. He smiled inside his balance breaker. "You're the Vanishing Dragon. Don't tell me you are afraid?"
[Ah! That's right! I am Dragon enough to admit when I am outmatched. I suggest you leave and never anger that man] said Albion. Vali was his most powerful host in history, but he can tell that even in his prime, he won't stand a chance against Jaune.
"You may be afraid of him, but I'm not," said Vali. This is what he wants, to fight a strong individual. "This is what I yearn for!".
Vali rushed towards Jaune with blinding speed. He motioned to punch, but the moment his fist was to make contact with Jaune, he merely passed through.
"Hah?" said Vali. He looked at Jaune and saw something in the man's arms. It was a hand, his hand. "Ahhhhhh!"
Vali fell to the ground clutching the stump on his shoulder.
As for Jaune, he took the crystal from the arm and kept it in his storage. His instinct told him he could use it later. For the rest of the thing? He burned it.
"I will give you a chance to leave," said Jaune. "Take it, or I will show you pain you've never felt before."
Resisting the pain, Vali flew back and shouted, "Half Dimension!"
The space around was beginning to shrink. However, Jaune made a punching motion and destroyed the power causing the space to shrink.
"W-What!" shouted Vali. He was not the only one shocked. A single punch was able to stop the Half Dimension.
"W-What the hell!?" shouted Issei. "He stopped that with a punch!".
[I told you to leave, Vali! Stay any longer, and you'll surely die!] said Albion. However, he did not know his chance was gone; even if Vali wanted to leave, Jaune would prevent it.
In an instant, Jaune appeared before Vali and grabbed his head. In the next second, they disappeared.
"What happened?" asked Sona. She was worried since Jaune suddenly disappeared. "Where did Jaune go?"
It was not until thirty minutes later that Jaune and Vali arrived. However, the White Dragon Emperor was in agony. He was on the ground, hugging his entire body. The pain was nothing like he's ever felt before. Being subjected to Jaune's potion of increasing the pain receptor was torture. No matter how often he killed himself, he would return, and the torture would continue.
When they came back, Jaune kicked Vali away from him. He was still annoyed.
Vali did not bother standing up. He just wanted everything to stop hurting.
[I told you. That man is more of a Devil than you can imagine. This is all on you!] shouted Albion. He knew this had caused trauma for Vali. The man would never be the same again.
Later, all the remaining magicians were killed, and everything returned to normal.
As things returned to normal, someone flying in a cloud appeared and took Vali. Jaune did not stop them since he already took out his anger on Vali.
…
Sometime later, Jaune, with Ophis, Sona, and Grayfia, headed back home. As for Serafall, she was still in the meeting that continued.
"That man, how powerful is he?" asked Michael. At first glance, he thought the man to be an ordinary person. He did not have a magical signature, but what he showed was terrifying.
"Hmm…? You know, you haven't seen anything yet, " said Serafall. She then put a finger on the middle of her forehead. "Did you know that he has a crown o his head that suppresses his strength? I do. I once asked him to show me how strong he was… and it terrified me. When he made a simple kick, he distorted space. But when he put more effort, he broke the space around him."
While things were being discussed about Jaune, the man of the hour was in his workshop fiddling with the crystal he got earlier.
"This is interesting," said Jaune. Even after being separated from the source, the crystal still contained a bit of power, which he is analyzing. "I could certainly use this and replicate it."
Vali didn't know that from now on, the ability of the Vanishing Dragon would no longer be Unique.
