Mahogany Town

"Gardevoir, Moonblast!" Jackson called out. Gardevoir concentrated as she gathered up energy of the moon in between her hands, creating a sphere, and projecting it at Leafeon. The Verdant Pokémon leapt over the attack, which detonated when it hit the ground, creating an explosion. She got pushed higher into the air thanks to the explosion, before falling back down, unleashing a Leaf Blade. "Teleport!" Jackson called out, and Gardevoir suddenly warped away from the spot Leafeon struck, causing the ground to crack from the slice. She reappeared a good distance to where she was.

Jackson got Gardevoir back from Nurse Joy, who told him that while she was in perfectly good health, she did have a bit of head trauma, so her memories couldn't be fully restored with what they had. Instead, she requested to let it naturally come back to her. Jackson decided to start helping her by getting her combat skills back, which is all basically muscle memory, anyway. So they went to the training grounds in the back of the center to train. Leafeon requested to be her sparring partner, while Lyanne and the rest of Jackson's team watched on the sidelines.

"Not bad." Leafeon noted to Gardevoir.

"You are incredibly strong." the Embrace Pokemon answered, looking and the damage Leafeon's Leaf Blade did, "I feel rather intimidated by your strength."

"Since you're joining Jackson's team, you're going to be put through the woodworks like the rest of us." Leafeon argued, her tail flicking, "Sorry, but I won't go easy on you just because you are new!" She launched forward, ready to unleash an Iron Tail.

'That'll be super effective!' Jackson realized, "Gardevoir, stop her with Psychic!"

"I am fully aware of the circumstances!" Gardevoir told Leafeon, thrusting her hands forward as her eyes glowed blue. Leafeon was about to spin and slice with her tail, but got stopped as she got close, her body glowing from being forcefully stopped by her opponent. Leafeon struggled, her will trying to overpower the attack. However, Gardevoir pushed Leafeon away, making her skid to a halt.

"Her Psychic is really strong." Lyanne noted, "Even by normal standards, Gardevoir has excellent control over her opponents."

"Try this out for size!" Leafeon growled, her tail glowing with solar energy.

"That's Solarbeam, Gardevoir! Ready to Teleport!" Jackson called out.

"Understood." she replied, readying herself. Leafeon opened her mouth, ready to fire her attack.

Suddenly, Jackson's tablet started to ring, startling him out of the battle. Leafeon and Gardevoir jumped at the ring, and Leafeon ended up firing her attack. However, she panicked as it was the ill-opportune time to use it, and instead directed it upwards, away from Gardevoir, who braced herself from the force of the attack as it passed by her. She looked as the attack reached the sky, her eyes in amazement.

"That was an incredibly powerful move..." she muttered, "My new master's Pokémon can unleash this much power? Even I am incapable of that level."

"Please don't call me master. Just Jackson, thanks." her trainer replied calmly but strongly, pulling out his tablet as it rang, "It feels uncomfortable for a girl, especially one as pretty as you, Gardevoir, to address me as such."

"Oh. I apologize." Gardevoir bowed to him, "I had no idea it would make you uncomfortable."

"You'll understand." Leafeon replied, walking up next to her. She has yet been aware of Jackson's past.

Jackson saw that the call was from Ethan, and he picked up the phone, getting his face on his screen. By the immediate expression, he looked distressed. "Hey, Ethan!" Jackson greeted, before looking concern as he asked, "What's going..."

"Jackson! Oh, thank goodness you picked up!" Ethan sighed in relief, before looking panicked as he asked, "Listen, where are you now?! Have you been listening to the radio?!"

"No, not of recently." Jackson answered, "And as to where I am at, I am in Mahogany Town."

"That's pretty far..." Ethan grimaced, "Listen, whatever you do, do not allow your Pokémon to hear the radio!"

"What are you talking about?" Jackson asked.

"Jackson!" Lyanne exclaimed, and he looked to see her and all of his Pokémon starting to show signs of getting headaches. They were grasping their heads as they felt something in the air.

"What?!" Jackson gasped.

"Jackson, what's happening?!" Ethan asked.

"No time to explain!" Jackson replied, putting down his tablet. A quick analysis, mixed with what he heard from Ethan, made him understand that there was a frequency in the air that was affecting the Pokémon. He had to act fast.

Music Intro

(Traveling through shining golden tunnel of energy, leading out into space with many world, all of which different colors, with the central world being the Pokémon world. The logo 'Jackson in Johto' appears on screen, before the camera passes through the arch of the 'n' from 'in, going into the world, through the clouds, where the glowing shadow of Ho-Oh can be seen, to the sea, where the shadow of Lugia is flying beneath the waters, before reaching the shoreline, getting blinded by the sun.)

Yeah, stand up boys!

Come on, face forward

(Jackson stands up, with Quilava at his side, followed by Dewott, Weavile, and Scizor, all of which expressing their unique personalities to Jackson.)

The call enveloping you is your guide

Step towards tomorrow

(Dewott gets angry at Weavile for trying to act so cool, while Jackson rolls his eyes before he, Quilava and Scizor took off ahead, with Weavile following behind, ignoring Dewott, who panicked and ran to not be left behind.)

Yeah, stand up girls!

At the end of what's more than real

(Leafeon rises up with Lyanne as Jackson and the boys pass by. The two look to one another, before giggling at the sight of the boys, before looking to the sky.)

We'll grab a light that's been covered by thick clouds

(Camera goes up to see Gardevoir appear in a sparkling light, landing right next to the two girls, smiling pleasantly at the two before they raced after the boys.)

How we spend our days before isn't good enough

(Camera passes by still images of all the companions and gym leaders that he has met or will meet in the future, including Cypher at the end of the pictures, while Jackson, Lyanne, Leafeon, and the rest of his current team walked along the bottom of the screen.)

At full speed

We can blast through

Even the highest wall

(Team Rocket suddenly appears, with the four admins of Team Rocket standing together, with the images of their ace Pokémon at their side, and the satellite system right above them.)

Stand up for your dream!

(Jackson draws his sword, while Lyanne turns into her Latias form, and the rest of his team ready to fight together.)

Be enthusiastic at what you do, no matter what it is

(Jackson rushes forward as he slashes his blade against Team Rocket grunts, followed by a spin kick, sending them flying, while Leafeon leaps up and unleashes a forward somersault Leaf Blade, taking out their Pokémon.)

Push your way through to make an opening

(Weavile unleashes an Ice Punch as Dewott throws a Water Pulse at a different direction, followed by the pair unleashing simultaneous Night Slashes. Quilava leaps through their attack, going into a Flame Charge.)

No matter how far

The answer you're seeking is

Stand up for your dream!

(Scizor flies in, striking with a couple Bullet Punches before firing a Hyper Beam. Latias flies above him, unleashing a Mist Ball, sending it ahead. Gardevoir flew forward, using Psychic to catch the Mist Ball, spinning it around her before shooting it forward, adding a Moonblast alongside the attack, creating an explosion.)

Even if my feeling show weakness

Your voice that I hear close by

(In the burning Ecruteak City, a serious Jackson raced along the path with Leafeon and Quilava at his side, towards the two towers, where a deranged Ho-Oh and Lugia were at, unleashing Aeroblast and Sacred Fire onto the city.)

Gives me courage and strength

I can go the distance

(Jackson leaps high, landing on Latias's back as they flew off, with the rest of the team leaping with him before encased in a stream of their signature colors, before the screen turn white, with a crystal blue Pokéball with a gold and silver sword crossing behind it the only thing remaining.)

Jackson grabbed his bag, and dug into the smaller pockets, finally pulling out a case and his headpiece. He opened it up, and pulled out the specialty earplugs. He was fortunate he had a couple extra pairs on hand. He raced to each of his Pokémon, and placed them in their ears, with Gardevoir being the last one. She felt the headache vanish, and looked up to see that Jackson was making sure she and everyone else were okay.

"Headaches gone, guys?" Jackson asked through the speaker of his headpiece.

"Yeah. Thanks again, Jackson." Leafeon sighed.

"Jackson?! Jackson!" Ethan called out through the tablet.

Jackson scrambled for his communication device as he replied, "Sorry about that. Looks like we found out why the radio shouldn't be played around Pokémon. What's happening?!"

"It's Team Rocket!" Ethan answered, "They've taken over the Goldenrod City Radio Tower!"

"They what?!" Jackson gasped, shocked at the news.

"We don't know how, but they are calling out for their former boss, Giovanni, while sending out a weird signal all about the place!" Ethan explained, "The Pokémon are going out of control as a result! That includes my Typhlosion, and Kris's Feraligatr! They're on a rampage all about the city!"

Jackson looked shocked, but his expression turned to anger as he gritted his teeth. Ariana did leave him a message saying that their plans were not over before she escaped the hideout. Guess this is what they meant. Now, they headed to the area where they could spread the frequency at a much further range.

Just then, Jackson heard the sounds of destruction, and looked to see a trainer and his Nidorina, the latter of which was going out of control, slashing wildly in the air, before charging at a wooden beam to a front entrance rooftop, and chomping hard on it. "Nidorina, what's the matter?!" the trainer demanded frantically.

"This isn't good!" Jackson growled.

"That Nidorino is going out of control!" Leafeon noticed.

"It's Team Rocket. They're now using the Radio Tower in Goldenrod to send the frequency all over the place!" The Nidorina broke through the beam, causing the entrance roof to collapse. It looked around dementedly, and saw Jackson standing there. He charged at him, ready to attack. Jackson was ready to counter. However, the Poison-type suddenly stopped in midair, his body encased in a blue aura. He struggled to move, but couldn't. Jackson looked around and saw Gardevoir, having ahold of the Pokémon via Psychic.

"I have you, Mas- I mean, Jackson." Gardevoir told him.

"Thanks." Jackson replied, noting he heard her almost call him 'master' again. He wondered for a second if that's what Gengar wanted her to call him when she was his trainer. But he didn't have time to think about it further, as he called out to the trainer, "Call back your Pokémon! Also, make sure the radios are off all throughout town!"

"Um, y-yeah!" the trainer called back, before putting his floating Nidorina into her ball again. He then rushed away to warn people to turn of their radios.

Jackson could hear more noises of destruction all about town. He looked frustrated. These people had just got over the radio signals from Team Rocket's hideout, and now this was taking place? He had to do something to stop it. But there was so much chaos around here, how could he do anything?

"Sensei!" Scizor called out, and Jackson turned to see his Pokémon and Lyanne standing there, ready to go. Jackson looked to his team, understanding something; Jackson alone couldn't do everything at once, but his team could work together and bring the destruction to a minimum.

"Right." Jackson understood, "Guys, it's time to take all that training to do things on your own to the test. Gardevoir, stay by my side for the time being, since you haven't been given lessons on that. Here's the plan; We gotta stop the rampaging Pokémon around town, while sending the message to everyone around town to turn off their radios to silence Team Rocket's radio call. Can you guys handle it?"

"Understood, sensei." Scizor answered.

"Heh! That's no big deal!" Dewott scoffed.

"A simple task." Weavile answered, getting a look from Dewott.

"You got it, Jackson!" Quilava answered.

"Count on us." Lyanne assured him.

"We'll get moving now!" Leafeon declared, and the six of them took off to different parts of town.

"Gardevoir, follow me!" Jackson told his new partner.

"Understood." she replied, and the pair took off their own path.

Jackson and his Pokémon scrambled about the city, stopping the Pokémon that had gone out of control, making their own signals or ways to tell people to turn off the radios in town. Jackson and Gardevoir were able to do it better than the others. All the while, Gardevoir was able to see Jackson's character and his selfless actions to help others. She found herself enamored by Jackson's actions and his determination to protect people. She almost felt like this was something she never had before.

It took about a half hour, but they managed to calm things down around town, gathering back together at the Pokémon Center. "We cleared that mess up, good!" Dewott scoffed.

"But that is only one town." Jackson pointed out, "To stop this all together, we need to get to the source. We need to get to Goldenrod City!"

The team looked surprised at this as Quilava pointed out, "But, Jackson! That's quite a distance away. It took us days to get here!"

"True, but only because I was taking my time." Jackson answered his concern, "With my actual speed, we should get there in no time!"

"But you forget about the water we had to cross from Ecruteak to here." Leafeon pointed out, "You will have to put the harness on Latias, cross both water areas, and then take the harness off."

"It wouldn't take that long." Jackson defended, but added, "Though you are right that might add time we cannot afford."

"I have an idea." Gardevoir spoke up, "What if I carry you guys?" Jackson and the others looked confused at her suggestion.

The conclusion of what to do to get to Goldenrod quickly was rather ingenious. Gardevoir was riding on Latias's back, while she used Psychic on Jackson and Leafeon as they flew over the water. Gardevoir was easy for Latias to carry, so she didn't slow down so much. As for Jackson and Leafeon, they floated across the waters, carried behind the flying Psychic-type pair. While it took some getting use to, Jackson and Leafeon were quickly able to adapt. Jackson even used his Extreme Gear to boost his speed further, going alongside Gardevoir and Latias.

Once they cross the two bodies of water, Gardevoir released her hold on the two. "You were amazing, Gardevoir." Jackson thanked his newest partner, pulling out her Pokéball, "Take a breather. We'll need you for what lies ahead."

"Thank you. You are very courteous about my well-being." she replied, being sucked back into her ball.

"She has been quite loyal to you since she became part of the team." Latias noticed.

Jackson and Leafeon looked to each other. Considering how they met before, they knew her loyalty and kindness to her previous trainer, and believed it was passed onto them.

They didn't have time to appreciate that loyalty, as they started to hear panic cries in the winds. "That's coming from Ecruteak City!" Latias noticed.

"Oh, no. Don't tell me!" Jackson realized, activating his Air Shoes, and leading the team towards the source.

When they arrived, they found Ecruteak in a state of chaos, as the Pokémon were rampaging around town. It didn't take two seconds for the team to figure out what was going on.

"Crap, it's happening here, too!" Jackson grimaced, pulling out his Pokéballs to call out the team.

"Wait, Jackson!" Latias stopped him, and he and Leafeon looked to her to see her turn back into Lyanne again, "Let me deal with this situation. I'll go to the Kimono Sisters and Morty, and explain to them what to do."

"Reminder that you don't speak human language." Leafeon pointed out.

"And you should know I have other ways to communicate information to others." Lyanne answered, digging into her bag, and pulling out her sketchbook.

"Got it." Jackson understood. She was gonna communicate by writing up what was going on. "I'll leave it to you to deal with things here."

"Thanks." she replied, "I wish you luck. Give Team Rocket a beating they'll never forget!"

"Understood!" Jackson answered, turning to the Verdant Pokémon, "Better hop onto my shoulders and hold on. We got no time to lose."

"Just don't drop me." she replied, hopping behind Jackson head, wrapping her paws around Jackson's shoulders. The otherworldly trainer activated his Extreme Gear again, and shot through town, with Lyanne watching him leave.

"He is extremely trustworthy, no doubt." the disguised Pokémon noted, "Gardevoir wasn't the only one who felt the need to respect you." She took off towards the theatre, where she predicted the kimono sisters were at.

With incredible speed, parkour, and control, Jackson dashed through all the chaos of the city, before dashing onto Route 37. "Jackson, you sure it was okay for let Lyanne to be left alone?!" Leafeon asked as they dashed down the path.

"She is the Guardian of Alto Mare. Plus, she has been growing since she came with us." Jackson pointed out, "I'm sure she can handle herself at this point. But let's keep her away from Team Rocket. If any of them recognize her, she'll get into big trouble!"

"Right. I understand." Leafeon agreed as they flew around the trees, grinding down a fallen one, and making his way towards the next route South of their position. The Grass-type was rather impressed at Jackson's skills to move around his environment while maintaining his incredible speed. He was even making sure not to do any spins or rolls while airborne to compensate for her being on his shoulders. Jackson was making sure to get their quickly and safely.

It took maybe five minutes, but thanks to Jackson's speedy efforts, he managed to find Route 35 that led him straight to Goldenrod City. On familiar grounds, Jackson focused on his high speeds while getting closer and closer to the destination, while avoiding a couple of roadblocks, including another trainer who was playing his radio, and ended up setting off his Pokémon while he did that. Jackson made sure to stop and tell him to stop playing his radio before continuing on.

When they arrived, Jackson and Leafeon came to a halt as they looked about, seeing the devastation in the city. Pokémon were out of control and attacking everywhere. Buildings were damaged and even on fire thanks to the rampages.

"This is horrible..." Leafeon muttered.

"If this doesn't bring back memories of Eggman attacking the city..." Jackson muttered, pulling out his Pokéballs, bringing his team into the situation.

"Wasn't this place not as chaotic as this?!" Dewott exclaimed, looking about.

"Sensei, what are your orders?" Scizor asked his trainer.

"We're the only one who can do anything about this." Jackson told the team, "Since you six are immune to the radio waves, you are probably the only Pokémon whose minds aren't in disarray. We can't shut down the radios around this town. Instead, lets make our way to the Radio Tower, and stop it at its source!"

"Right!" The six answered, before their was a detonation that was mixed with water. They shielded themselves, and looked to see a Pokémon that looked like a bipedal crocodile with large red fins going down its back.

"A Feraligatr!" Leafeon noted as Jackson pulled out his Pokédex. "Feraligatr. The Big Jaw Pokémon, and the evolved form of Croconaw. Feraligatr intimidates its foes by opening its huge mouth. In battle, it will kick the ground hard with its thick and powerful hind legs to charge at the foe at an incredible speed."

"Feraligatr, calm down! Please!" cried a familiar voice. Jackson turned around and saw Kris running along the street, calling out to who was apparently her partner.

"Kris!" Jackson called out.

Kris saw Jackson and his team, before gasping, "Jackson, you're here! Wait, what's going on?! Your Pokémon aren't going out of control?!"

"Not the time!" Jackson argued, "Is that your Pokémon?!"

"Yeah. My Croconaw evolved." Kris answered, looking fearfully at her out-of-control partner, "But ever since Team Rocket hit them with these sonar weapons they had, they went out of control!"

"Sonar weapons?" Jackson asked, before hearing a crash, as Feraligatr unleashed a Brick Break that destroyed the wall of a building. "It really made them delirious!" he growled, "Leafeon, go and stop him!"

"Understood!" Leafeon answered, dashing in, unleashing Sunny Day onto the their battlefield.

"Jackson, Ethan's Typhosion is also on a rampage!" Kris explained, "It's even more out of control than my Feraligatr!"

"Where are they?" Jackson asked.

"Ethan got injured trying to stop him." Kris answered, "And the local authorities are so thinned out, not able to use their Pokémon, they are in a disarray. He's close to the Radio Tower, but no one can get close to the tower itself due to his rampage, and Team Rocket is making sure it attacks outward!"

"Then it's a good thing we're on the case!" Jackson declared, watching his first Pokémon strike Feraligatr to the ground with a Leaf Blade, "Leafeon, stay with Kris and take out her Feraligatr. The rest of us will continue on ahead to Typhlosion's position, and stop him before we get to the Radio Tower!"

"You really plan to leave Leafeon here to fight on her own?!" Kris asked, shocked as her Pokémon got back up.

"She knows how to fight and win. Trust her!" Jackson assured her, watching Leafeon get ready to fight as Feraligatr prepared an Ice Fang. Knowing how she'll handle things, he took off towards the area.

"Jackson!" Dewott called out, "I know that its an evolved form of Quilava, here. So I can handle it with my Water-type moves and a Night Slash!"

"No way!" Quilava argued, "I am handling that guy! I have my pride on the line!"

"Quilava, pride leads to a fall. Don't let it take you over!" Jackson counter-argued.

"But I still have to do this!" the Volcano Pokémon retorted, "It's my evolved form. It's suppose to be superior to me in every way! I have to overcome that hurdle! You know what I mean?"

Jackson looked to him, then to the surrounding destructions. He recalled memories of his past, involving him injured, but still holding on, as he stood with his sword and MMD Glove at the ready, was in the shadows of the flames, a character that looked like him, only in a robotic form, stood there, blades for hands, as it red electronic eyes glowed at his target. 'F.M...' Jackson's younger voice mentally growled.

"I know exactly what you mean." Jackson replied, "Okay, Quilava. Let's beat him together!"

"Yeah!" Quilava answered, and they led the charge, while Dewott, Weavile, Scizor, and Gardevoir brought up the rear.

Up ahead, Officer Jenny and three fellow police officers had ballistic shields up as they were confronted with the said Typlosion, which looked like something between a badger and a bear, roaring wildly as flames ignited around the backside of his neck. The area looked destroyed and burnt, what with all the fiery attacks from the raging Pokémon.

"What can we do?!" one of the officers asked, "We can't get to the Radio Tower without getting through this Pokémon! And it won't let us past!"

"I know! I know!" Officer Jenny answered, "We can't use our Pokémon without them going out of control. What can we do?!"

"Officer Jenny!" Jackson shouted, getting her and the other police officer's attention. He and his team charged up and around them, getting in between them and the Typhlosion, Quilava being in front of Jackson, growling at his evolution superior.

"Kid, why do you have your Pokémon out?!" Jenny asked, "They will go out of...control?" She looked to the Pokémon, seeing that none of them were in the same state as all others in town. "How are they still sane?" she asked.

"With special earplugs I invented!" Jackson replied, speaking into his headpiece, "Quilava and I got this guy! Everyone else, when you see the opening, make a break to the Radio Tower! Team, make sure Officer Jenny and the others get the cover they deserve!"

"You got it!" "Yes." "Yes, sensei." "Of course!" The four Pokémon answered together.

"Quilava, let's blade things up a notch! Flame Wheel!" Jackson ordered. Quilava curled up into a ball and spun at Typhlosion, who saw him coming. He, too, curled up into a ball and unleashed a Flame Wheel to match Quilava's, creating a fiery explosion. The results were Jackson's partner to be flung back by the fiery attack, overpowered by his strength.

"Dammit! I can match his flames, but brute force ain't something I can compete!" Quilava growled.

"Don't get discouraged! Flamethrower!" Jackson shouted. Quilava answered the call, unleashing a blast of flames from his mouth, hitting Typhlosion in the gut, and knocking it back. "That did some damage!" Jackson cheered, turning to everyone else, "Go!"

"We thank you!" Jenny replied, as Gardevoir led her and everyone else, while the other members of Jackson's team also brought up the sides.

Typhlosion's eyes snapped, and he roared as he unleashed a deluge of fire and smoke from his entire body, surrounding the entire scene. "Jackson, that's Lava Plume!" Quilava recognized.

"Leap out of the way!" Jackson shouted, jumping high as Quilava jumped up to avoid the attack. The fire and smoke went underneath them, destroying the area.

At the same time, the attack was also heading to the group trying to pass by the battle. They saw the Lava Plume approaching, and Jenny and the other officers panicked. However, Jackson's Pokémon went in the path of the attack, Dewott unleashing Water Pulse, Weavile unleashing Icy Wind, and Gardevoir unleashed Psychic. The combination dispersed the attack, saving the police. "This way!" Scizor addressed the officers, waving them to follow him, and they followed behind the Pincer Pokémon.

"You're becoming a fine member in the team." Weavile told Gardevoir.

"It's just instinctive that I protect." she replied with a simple smile.

"Just be sure to attack when you need to!" Dewott argued, before the three followed the police from behind.

Jackson and Quilava landed on the ground as Typhlosion's attack died down. "Good. The others are safe." Jackson muttered, "Okay, it's our turn again! Aerial Ace!" Quilava shot at Typhlosion, streams of winds flying around him as he struck Typhlosion, who was unable to dodge. He gritted his teeth as skidded from the attack, but with a roar, he puffed out his chest, and made Quilava fly back. He then leapt up and dug into the ground, creating a tunnel underneath.

"He's using Dig!" Jackson noticed. Quilava looked about, wondering where he would pop up, until he was suddenly presented with a burst of rubble and asphalt as his opponent came up from underneath him, peppering him with the attack, until he got slugged in the face by Typhlosion's fist, causing him to crash into a building nearby. "Quilava!" Jackson called out, seeing his friend fall to the ground, heavily injured by the super-effective attack.

He struggled to get back up, but Typhlosion roared as he summoned a ring of large boulders above him, and threw them down at Quilava. He mustered the strength to get up, and run around the falling rocks, trying to evade the attack, but got hit by the last few, causing him to be caved underneath the attack.

"Quilava, hang on!" Jackson exclaimed, running to his partner, drawing out his sword, and slashing the rocks covering Quilava, seeing his injured partner on the ground, barely able to get back up. Jackson dug into his backpack, and pulled out a Hyper Potion, spraying it all over his partner, healing his wounds. He heard Typhlosion roar, and turned to see him rush on all fours at them, before going into a Flame Wheel. Jackson grabbed Quilava and leapt out of the way with him in his arms, just as Typhlosion barreled through the rocks.

Jackson landed back where he started as he put Quilava back on his feet again, muttering, "Well, we know his moveset now. Lava Plume, Flame Wheel, Dig, and Rock Slide. Ethan certainly made his partner powerful, no doubt about that."

"Jackson..." Quilava was regaining his strength thanks to Jackson's quick healing.

"You doing okay?" Jackson asked.

"Yeah...but I might've over-estimated myself." he muttered, "In regards to firepower, I have that in spades."

"Yeah. Yours is probably stronger than his." Jackson agreed.

"But when it comes to sheer power and diverse attacks, he's definitely better." Quilava said in a frustrated manner.

"Then let's not overcome him with power alone." Jackson told him, getting his attention, "As far as I can see, Ethan seem to make his Typhlosion focus more on power. But we can outpace him, thanks to my training regiment on you guys."

"But I don't know if I'll be fast enough!" Quilava noted, watching the demented Typhlosion glare at them, "What happens when you fight something that is better than you in every way?!"

"Then you get more clever and faster." Jackson answered, "We need to boost your speed somehow. You can spin dash into a Flame Wheel, but he has you beat by that."

"Yeah, so what can we do?!" Quilava demanded, seeing Typhlosion send another Rock Slide at them, and they dashed together, Jackson slicing up the falling boulders.

"I remember my friend Sonic tell me that when he found his Spin Dash to be not enough, he created the ability to do the Sonic Boost technique."

"And what is that suppose to be?!" the Fire-type asked, the two leaping ahead as Typhlosion had dug underneath the ground and come up just barely underneath them.

"He channeled an energy field in front of him, boosting his speed to great levels!" Jackson recalled, "It's sort of like your Aerial Ace, but better. Maybe you can encase yourself in flames instead, like you do with Flame Wheel, only make it a energy field of flames in front of you, and you dash ahead. Run faster, and create flames around your body!"

"Run faster...and create flames around my body?" Quilava thought about his description, looking at Typhlosion as he unleashed Lava Plume, expelling the flames and smoke around him to melt the rubble around the place. "Not a wheel, but a dash. A boost. Dash ahead...no, CHARGE ahead!" He created flames as he roared, running with all his might. Jackson could've sworn he saw the very same Sonic Boost from Quilava as he did from Sonic, only the energy field was made of flames. He roared as he turned to the oncoming Lava Plume, using his momentum and firepower to blast through the attack, come at Typhlosion, and hit him hard in the gut, knocking him back.

"Quilava, that was amazing!" Jackson stated, seeing him back off, "Was that a new move?!"

"Yeah. Flame Charge!" Quilava answered, before unleashing the said attack again, dashing about, and striking Typhlosion on the side, knocking him over. He was still out of his mind despite this, and unleashed another Dig attack, diving underneath. Quilava maintained his attack, going faster and faster, to the point that he was far ahead from the spot he was at before when his opponent came out of the ground. He did a 180, and came back at Typhlosion with another gut strike.

"You are totally outpacing him!" Jackson cheered.

"Yeah. Plus, I'm a lot lighter on my feet thanks to the consecutive attack!" Quilava noted.

"That's not surprising, since Flame Charge boosts your speed every time you use it in a battle." Jackson recalled, "Now, let's do the final attack. Aerial Ace!"

Typhlosion unleashed another Rock Slide as Quilava charged at him at intense speeds that was difficult to see to the naked eye. The Rock Slide didn't even come close to him, and he struck the opponent in the face with a blinding dash, knocking him onto his back, where he remained unconscious.

"You did it!" Jackson declared, running over to him, patting him on the head.

"Thanks. Gotta say, it was a bit tough for a moment." he admitted.

"But that's why we improve in the midst of a fight!" Jackson answered, pulling out his ball, "Now, get some rest. You deserve it. I'll need you if worst comes to worst." He put Quilava back into his Pokéball, and pocketed it.

He stood back up, grabbed a spare pair of earplugs, placing them in Typhlosion's ears. "That should calm him if he wakes up." he told himself.

"Jackson!" Kris's voice rang in the air. Jackson looked to see her and Leafeon charge up the street towards them.

"Kris! Leafeon!" Jackson addressed the pair, "You got things taken care of with your Feraligatr?"

"Yeah. Leafeon was amazing!" Kris stated, "She fought him with such skill and finesse, allowing me to return him to his Pokéball when he was worn down. You trained her to be that skilled without your commands?!"

"I took lessons I learned from one place, and placed them here." Jackson replied, indicating his time in the other Pokémon world.

"Looks like you've taken care of things here." Leafeon noted, seeing Typhlosion down and out, "Whose here with you?"

"Just me and Quilava." Jackson answered, "He beat Typhlosion."

"That's amazing!" Kris gasped.

"Yeah, but now's not the time. I gotta catch up with Officer Jenny and the rest of my team. Leafeon, you good?"

"Please. That was hardly a warmup." Leafeon answered, looking to Kris, "No offense to you."

"None taken. Feraligatr wasn't being commanded by me, so he wasn't working at his best." she replied, looking from her to Jackson, "I'll handle things with Typhlosion from here. Go stop Team Rocket!"

"Good! I have the special earplugs in Typhlosion's ears. Give them back to me when this is all said and done."

"I got it. Thanks!" she replied, and she stood there as Leafeon and Jackson took off towards the Radio Tower. It was time they took care of them before they became a danger to the entire region.
