Shortly after Aria left, the family was gathered in the living room watching the puppy play and learn his way around the house. After about twenty minutes, Arizona and Callie looked at one another and right away, Sofia knew a talk was coming. Callie asked Sofia to go get her tablet and once the little girl returned with her device and handed it to her mama, Callie explained, "When you were a baby, we needed to put you on a schedule so you learned when it was time to eat and sleep and play and you knew when to expect it so you didn't get worried that it wasn't coming and cry for it." Sofia put her finger over her lips as if she were thinking and asked, "Do you think if we do the same thing for Tobin he won't get scared and worry that we won't feed him or play with him?" Arizona smiled and exclaimed, "I think that's an excellent idea. You know, as much as we wanted to keep you with us, we also had to make you sleep in your own bed so you would get used to it, but also so we wouldn't roll over and smush you." Sofia giggled, then she sighed and asked, "So Tobin should probably sleep in his crate at night and when we aren't home huh? But can he have his blanket and a toy with him?" Callie smiled and responded, "Of course he can, he has to feel safe and be comfortable." Sofia looked at her tablet and asked, "What's that for?" Callie looked at Arizona and replied, "Mommy and I found an app that will help remind you when Tobin should eat breakfast, when he should go potty, when he should have lunch, dinner, and water, when he needs exercise and when to play. This app will help both of you get into a routine and you won't need it after a while, but it will help you out until both of you create a pattern just like mommy and daddy and I created with you." Sofia smiled and asked, "Will you download it for me?" Callie nodded and found the app.
While the app was downloading, Sofia sat on the floor in front of her moms with her puppy on her lap, tilted her head and asked, "Puppies need other rules too right?" Arizona leaned down, rubbed the dog's head and answered, "They certainly do. Do you have some in mind?" Sofia pursed her lips and looked around then declared, "I don't think he should be on the furniture. His paws could scratch it up. I think he should only chew on his toys and we shouldn't buy him toys that look like real things like shoes or food because I don't think he should eat real food either, it might hurt his belly." Arizona and Callie both smiled at their daughter and Callie proclaimed, "I think those are great rules and they are very responsible and show that you are respectful of our things as well." Sofia watched as her puppy moved to sit on her mommy's feet and started licking her toes then looked up and asked, "Are you going to help me or are you going to make me do it all by myself?" Arizona reached down and cooed at the little dog who was eating up the attention and responded, "Mama and I will be here to support you and we will go to the classes with you, but we want Tobin to know who is in charge of him and that's you." Callie reached out to pat the dog's head and he snarled at her and she couldn't help but giggle at his attempt to be fierce. When she sat back and put her arm around Arizona, the little pup moved over to her leg and let out a little growl and started yipping at her. The two women looked at one another and just started laughing. Right then, the alarm on Sofia's tablet went off and the little girl declared, "Time for potty then night-night for baby-boy." The little dog started jumping around when he saw the leash come out and ran straight for the door.

Once the puppy was tucked safely into his cage and their daughter was tucked safely into her bed, Callie and Arizona were settled on the sofa on the patio with Arizona snuggled into Callie's side and her arm wrapped around her waist, hand resting protectively on her lower abdomen. As Arizona looked out over the back yard she declared, "Listening to Sofia tonight made me think maybe we should talk about putting a small gate around the pool. I mean there's our baby of course, but the puppy, and all of our friend's new babies I think it would just be safer." Callie continued to rub her belly and commented, "I guess we will be thinking about a lot of those things in the next several months." Arizona lifted her hand and began to run her fingers through Callie's hair and asked, "If you had to name one thing, what would you say is most important right now?" Callie took a deep breath; she'd thought about this. She'd thought about this for years and she'd especially thought about it since they'd gotten back together and she knows her answer would have been different five years ago, but today, it is extremely clear to her. She turned slightly, lifted her wife's chin, looked into the blue eyes she loved so much, and answered, "If I had to name the one thing that matters to me most right now, it would be the health of you and that tiny little human in there and everything else will come together."
Arizona smiled brightly, brushed their lips together, stood up, pulled Callie with her and declared, "Suddenly, I'm feeling this immediate urge to go to bed Mrs. Robbins-Torres." Callie wrapped her arms around her wife, backed her into the house, turned the lights off as they went and agreed, "Hmm, I think I'm feeling that same urge." Once they got into the room with only the moonlight shining through the patio doors to guide them, Callie lifted the hem of Arizona's shirt and allowed the blonde to do the same and both women hummed in delight as they wrapped their arms around one another and felt how their bodies melded together. Callie wasted no time in slipping her tongue in Arizona's mouth and the blonde quickly relieved them both of their sleep shorts and pulled down the bedding. Thinking she had the upper hand; she turned Callie so she was sitting on the bed and the brunette allowed her wife to take control for the moment while their tongues danced and hands wandered. As Arizona began to kiss her way down a strong caramel colored neck and lick at her pulse point, Callie snaked her hand between them and began flicking at Arizona's clit with her forefinger while circling the tight opening to her throbbing channel with her middle and ring fingers causing her to sit up, arch her back and gasp out, "Oh God baby yes." Callie smirked and continued to taunt and tease her wife until she was writhing on top of her practically begging to let her come. Arizona dug her fingernails into Callie's shoulders, gritted her teeth, clenched her jaw, and growled out "Calliope Iphigenia Robbins-Torres, you need to fuck me right now or so help me God!"
Callie knew her wife was about to threaten to withhold sex, she never had the guts to see if she would follow through and she wasn't about to find out now. Reaching down with her free hand, she grabbed Arizona's amazing ass, slipped three fingers inside and proceeded to circle her clit with her thumb. She nearly came herself when Arizona reared back, tangled both hands in her hair, threw her head back and bucked and rolled her hips chasing her own orgasm. Callie was so overwhelmed by her wife's sexiness, she wasn't sure where she wanted to focus her gaze, the look of pure ecstasy on her wife's face, those full, glorious mounds bouncing up and down in front of her, or her fingers moving in and out of her wife's bare channel coated with her juices. Before she could decide, Arizona collapsed on top of her, wrapped her lips around her shoulder and screamed out her name as her body went stiff then tremored with small aftershocks. Callie barely had time to move her hand to help her wife come down before she felt warm silk lips wrap around her sensitive nipple and two fingers easily glide into her already slick channel. Throwing back her head, Callie whispered, "Oh fuck me!" Then chuckled when she heard the muffled response, "Oh don't you worry about that darlin'." Then felt a third finger join the other two as sharp teeth began to nibble and bite around her nipples and down her abdomen.
Callie arched off the bed when those teeth clamped down on her clit and the three fingers inside her curled and pushed against the spongy part behind her pubic bone, her head rolled back and forth on the pillow, and her arms flailed out looking for anything to grasp onto. Finally, she reached down and clutched a handful of blonde curls and stuck her fist in her mouth when Arizona backed off from nibbling on her clit and began gently flicking it with her tongue causing her entire body to tremor and shake and a lewd growl to emanate from deep within. Suddenly she felt a tingling in her stomach and a gush of liquid rushing from her core, then her entire body went limp as she gasped for air and got turned on all over again when Arizona looked up at her from between her legs, face and neck dripping with arousal. Callie used what strength she had left to pull her on top of her and connect their lips into a slow sensual kiss. When they finally broke for much needed air, Arizona suggested, "You go start the shower and I'll change the sheets." Callie, still breathing heavily tried to sit up, fell back down, and responded, "Good plan, just…give me a minute." Arizona giggled and went to the closet to grab some clean sheets.

Arizona had just finished straightening her hair and checking herself in the vanity mirror when two tan hands snaked around her middle and started unbuttoning the bottom of her blouse and gently caressed the tight skin of her abdomen. She looked up in the mirror and saw that gorgeous face resting on her shoulder, while twinkling brown eyes were fixed on her bare flat stomach and couldn't help but smile because it seemed like her wife's hands were just automatically drawn to her stomach since Saturday. She brought her left hand up to caress the damp stubble at the side of Callie's head and murmured, "You're going to make us late, you aren't even dressed yet." Callie swayed them back and forth, kissed the side of her neck and complained, "You let me sleep in and didn't give me a chance to say good morning to my son. That's our bonding time. Besides, I've got pants and a bra on." Arizona responded, "You seemed pretty tired after last night." Arizona wasn't sure if it was just her normal response to Callie touching her or the newness of being pregnant, but she felt that little tingle again when her wife turned her around, dropped to her knees, kissed her belly then rested her forehead against it for a moment. When she was finished, Callie murmured something inaudible, buttoned her shirt and fixed her clothes, then stood up and brushed their lips together and softly whispered, "Thank you for carrying my baby." Arizona wrapped her arms around her wife's bare shoulders and proclaimed, "You know, if you keep being this sweet, I'm going to have to push you back in the bed and have my way with you." Callie wrapped her arms around Arizona's waist, tucked her hands in the back of her pants and murmured, "I think I could live with that." She pulled Arizona in closer and just the feel of her hands on bare skin made the blonde's entire body tingle, she nibbled on Callie's bottom lip and was immediately granted access and moaned as their tongues tangled together. Callie kissed a trail down Arizona's neck and whispered, "What were you saying about going back to bed?"
Arizona groaned, started to squirm away, and grumbled, "Our daughter is awake and we both have patients today and we have an appointment with Addie at 9:30." At that, Callie's entire face lit up when she asked, "Will we get to see him today?" Arizona pouted, "Not today, it's still really early, but she will go over the numbers, give me pre-natal vitamins, and tell you all the ways you can be a bossy pants and keep me from eating the good things that I'll want." Callie turned to the closet, pulled out a shirt, and asked, "Speaking of which, what would you like for breakfast?" Arizona tilted her head and asked, "Do we have vanilla yogurt, berries, and granola?" Callie smiled and answered, "I believe we do and that actually sounds pretty good given all the rich foods we've eaten over the past few days. Tea or juice?" Without giving it any thought, the blonde answered, "Grape juice, and we will need to grab some more, I think it's almost gone." Callie chuckled; her wife didn't even realize she was already having cravings. It seemed a little early to her, but what did she know? She just saw it as a good sign and left the room to prepare breakfast and pack something for lunch that her wife would actually eat.
When Callie left the room, Arizona smiled at Callie's enthusiasm as well as her response last night. In her mind, this was another of those clearly defined differences between the past and the present. While Callie was clearly excited, she wasn't 'let's pick colors and a theme and paint the nursery tomorrow' excited. She was patient and understanding of Arizona's hesitancy and need to hear a heartbeat and that quiet optimism, that understanding, and support, that's what helped Arizona to feel comforted and to be excited about being pregnant rather than being scared. The fact that they both talked about their fears and their excitement helped her a great deal.
She lifted her perfume bottle to give herself a little spray just behind her ears, caught a whiff of the normally pleasant aroma and decided against it when her stomach began to churn. Being a maternal-fetal surgeon and OB/GYN, she knew morning sickness and other symptoms came at different points throughout the pregnancy for different people, but she still felt three weeks was a little early to show signs like this. It didn't necessarily mean anything was wrong, she really hadn't even taken a look at the report to see what her numbers looked like, but still, it felt early, she had her suspicions, but she would wait to see what the report said. She made a mental note to discuss it with Addie today, then to decide whether it was time to talk to Callie about it.

When Arizona reached the kitchen, she found Callie standing at the patio door with the first few buttons of her shirt undone and her tie hanging loosely around her neck, holding a cup of coffee chuckling at whatever she was seeing outside. She was relieved when the smell of the coffee didn't nauseate her. She grabbed the small glass of grape juice sitting on the island, walked up behind her wife, tucked herself under her arm, kissed her cheek, and asked, "What's so funny?" Callie snickered and pointed her cup in the direction of the scene outside. Their daughter was standing in the middle of the backyard with the leash wrapped around her ankles and the dog yipping at her feet rolling around in the grass. They were wearing matching blue pajamas with rainbows all over them and Sofia was holding the leash begging, "Tobin, please go potty. Be a good boy and you can get a treat if you go potty." The dog sat up, looked right at her as if he understood her, his tongue, which Callie would swear was half the size of his body, was dangling from his mouth, his ears perked up as if he understood her, still he stayed put.
Arizona chuckled and called out, "Sof, you are far enough away from the pool, maybe you should take him off the leash and he might go potty." Sofia nodded, bent down and released the puppy from his tether. The little dog looked up at her, turned in two circles and finally relieved himself right where he stood…on Sofia's foot. Neither woman could contain their laughter when their daughter stared down at the dog in disbelief, being the trooper that she was, she wiped her foot in the grass, bent down to pet his head, handed him a treat, and cooed, "Good boy! Next time we will try for the grass okay?" The dog yipped his baby bark and proudly pranced toward the house next to Sofia who went straight for the hose and sprayed off her foot before entering the dining room.
Callie and Arizona stood near the doorway cuddled together watching as the girl and her dog entered the house. As soon as he saw them, the little puppy pranced straight up to them, sat on the blonde's foot, licked her toes, then looked up at Callie and started making a noise that sounded vaguely like a growl. When all she did was giggle at him, he pawed at her bare foot and latched onto her pantleg and started tugging on it, moving his head back and forth. Sofia giggled and asked, "Is he attacking you mama?" Callie reached down, picked up the little critter who continued to snarl at her and asked, "Are you trying to stake your claim on my wife little man?" In response, the dog sneered at her, turned and licked Arizona's face from chin to nose, making her giggle and tried to wiggle out of Callie's grasp. Callie handed the puppy over to her daughter and ordered, "Take Romeo out of here and get him his breakfast and get dressed before grandma and grandpa get here." Sofia giggled and they all laughed even harder when the little ball of fur proceeded to growl at Callie.
Arizona finished buttoning Callie's shirt and started on her tie when she asked, "How did it come about that my parents are coming over today to watch the munchkin?" Callie put her hands on Arizona's waist and explained, "They asked about it Saturday and I forgot to mention it. Your mom said they weren't able to travel much or spend any time with her this summer so they were sticking around for a few days to visit family in the area, finish your dad's consulting obligation, and asked if they could spend the day with her today. Honestly, I think your dad is chomping at the bit to get that ship started." Arizona laughed and agreed, "I'm sure you are correct." She knew the real reason of course, there was no sense in her parents driving all the way home just to come back next week so they could watch Sofia while they were on their honeymoon. Callie finished her coffee, pushed a small bowl toward Arizona and ordered, "Eat your breakfast, I packed your lunch as well. I even put a little piece of birthday cake in there for you as a treat." Arizona kissed her wife and cooed, "You take such good care of me." Callie caressed her stomach and replied, "You ain't seen nothin' yet baby."
When the Robbins' arrived, Barb cooed and went crazy over the little puppy and just fell in love with his name, she thought it was very clever of her granddaughter. Daniel being Daniel looked down and claimed, "He looks a little scrawny to me." Sofia put her hands on her hips and defended, "He's just a baby, but he's a pit bull and he will grow to be fierce and strong like I did." Daniel couldn't hide his smile at his granddaughter and pulled her in for a hug and replied, "You sure did sweet pea." She put her hand over her mouth and giggled, "I think he has a crush on mommy. He follows her wherever she goes and he doesn't like it when mama touches her." Barb laughed, "Oh, we had a dog like that once, do you remember Daniel? What was his name?" Daniel thought for a minute then replied, "Scout, that dog followed you everywhere, laid next to you and even tried to get on the bed with you. Wouldn't let me near you." Barb chuckled and looked at her daughter and responded, "Turns out I was pregnant with you and he could sense it. They say dogs can sense those types of things and try to protect their people." Both women just looked at one another and Arizona cleared her throat and stated, "Looks like we'd better head out. Help yourselves to anything in the fridge. Spare house key is in the drawer in the mudroom in case you need to leave the house. Love you all. Have a good day." When they got into Callie's SUV, Callie looked at Arizona and asked, "You don't think…" Arizona shrugged and answered, "I wasn't waiting long enough for mom to ask questions." Both women laughed and Callie pulled out of the garage.

Arizona just finished her rounds for the morning and decided to pop into Max's office to see if he was in yet. She didn't see his car in the parking lot when they pulled up and more often than not, he beat her here when they were working the same shift, so then she started to worry. Straightening her shoulders, she knocked on Max's office door and when she was granted entrance, she was pleased to see Michael as well and greeted, "What a pleasant surprise! I'm glad I was able to catch you both." Michael looked at Max disapprovingly and declared, "It appears someone decided not to say anything about his engine light coming on until it was too late and he found himself by the side of the road yesterday needing a tow-truck. So you may see me for a few more days at least." Immediately concerned, Arizona studied the man and asked, "Did you get hurt? Were you in an accident?" Max responded, "No but my engine overheated and repairing it is not going to be pretty." Michael shook his head at his husband's understatement and let out a sarcastic chuckle.
Arizona furrowed her brow, wondering if maybe this was a bad time, she wasn't sure how he'd take her suggestion, but after everything they'd done and just the pure joy on Callie's face, she felt she owed them something, so she just decided to go with it and explained, "Well I came in because neither Callie nor I feel comfortable not paying anything for her party and the use of your facilities. It was so generous and it meant so very much to her. So if you won't take the money, which I would understand if you would reconsider now due to the car problems, then we would like to donate the amount you quoted to me to your soup kitchen." Both men just stared at her and Michael asked, "How did you even know about that?" Arizona chuckled and asked, "Did you not meet my wife? Fangirl extraordinaire, you know the one squealing and screaming, who nearly bowed to you when you walked in the room?" The chef chuckled and responded, "Ohhhh that was her? Barely noticed."
He waved Arizona off and declared, 'We can take care of the cost of the car, but I would be honored to accept your donation on behalf of the kitchen and would love to invite you and your wife and friends down any time, we are always in need of volunteers and it is a very humbling experience." Arizona smiled, took the check she had already written out of her pocket, handed it to Michael, and said, "I can't promise you anything near the quality you would get with any of your other friends, but we'd love to have you over for dinner or at least for drinks sometime." Michael looked at the check, shook his head and asked, "You weren't going to take no for an answer were you?" Arizona shook her head and responded, "I was prepared to mail it if need be." Both men chuckled and thanked the fetal surgeon for both the check and her invitation for dinner and Michael walked out with her since he had to get to work as well.
When they left the office, they ran into Callie and Addison leaning against the wall outside of her office and Callie stood up straight as soon as she saw who was with her wife and greeted, "Chef March it's an…" "It's Michael, Cal, and it's good to see you again too. Thank you for your donation. Arizona, get with Max about dinner, I still owe Cal the coffee soaked salmon lesson." Arizona patted the man on the back and replied, "Will do Michael, see you soon." Callie went into the office and started pacing in circles again, "Oh my God, we need to hire a maid. No, no, no, we will just move, that will work right? And you touched him, you can't just go patting him on the back like, like, like…he's human!" Addison stared at her friend and looked at Arizona and said, "I don't recall her being like this." Arizona shook her head and explained, "This is recent and it's just with certain people, mostly her cooking idols. Those shows got us through some rough times and she relates cooking with her abuela." Addie nodded her head in understanding, it made more sense now.
When Callie finally settled down and took a seat on the sofa, Addison sat in the chair across from her, and Arizona checked her watch and proclaimed, "You're both early." Callie blushed, shrugged and explained, "I was excited." That answer earned her a kiss on the forehead from her wife and she sat down beside her. The redhead didn't miss how Callie's hand immediately covered her wife's abdomen. She looked at the tablet and claimed, "You're my only patient, well, not you…" She glanced down at the chart, read the name and finished, "Rebecca Stinson is my only patient. Seems she doesn't like to fly and needs a fertility specialist and you are kind enough to offer your offices to me." Arizona got up, went into the bathroom and filled her carafe with water and commended, "Very clever, where'd you get that name?" Addison laughed and responded, "She was a character on Bones, I found it fitting since you're married to an ortho surgeon and all." Arizona shook her head and muttered, "And people say I suck at jokes." Arizona turned on her coffee pot and Addison noticed only clear water was running through it and asked, "Aren't you forgetting a crucial element there?" Arizona pulled a teabag out of the drawer under her little coffee set up and asked, "Oh you mean the vomiting? No, I thought I'd skip that for today. If you want coffee, you need to go to the lounge." Addie shook her head and replied, "Of all the things, you luck out and get sick from coffee." The blonde chuckled and Callie responded, "Yeah, I wasn't too happy about that either. I nearly snapped Kepner in two without caffeine." Arizona laughed, returned to her wife with her tea, and recalled, "Honey, there were plenty of times you nearly snapped her in two with caffeine." Callie snorted, took a drink of the coffee she brought with her and answered, "True."
Addison started, "So I take it you read the report." Both women blushed and she exclaimed, "Oh come on! Neither of you read it?" Callie returned, "In my defense, it's been years since my OB rotation." Addison looked at Arizona and asked, "What's your excuse?" Arizona shrugged, took a drink of her tea and responded, "There was pretty confetti." Callie chuckled and hugged her adorable wife, kissed her on her temple, and Addison just shook her head. She handed the tablet over to her patient, the supposed world-class fetal surgeon and demanded, "Read it now." As Arizona read the numbers, Addison explained, "Your blood sugar is a little high and I'd like you to keep an eye on it. Do daily glucose checks and I'm writing you a prescription just in case. Because you fall under what they consider the normal weight limit, I'm also adding an iron pill to help prevent anemia. My biggest concern is the HCG levels. Arizona had noticed those numbers and that's where her eyes had been glued for the last couple of minutes. Becoming alarmed, Callie asked, "Are they low, is there a possibility the pregnancy isn't viable?" Addison shook her head, "No, no, they aren't low at all. Arizona, do you want to explain?"
Arizona stared at the tablet for a moment and wondered if she did want to explain. This is where the old Arizona was warring with the new Arizona. The old Arizona would keep this news to herself and if it turned out to be nothing, then Callie was none the wiser and she wouldn't get hurt from it. But if it was something and something happened, Arizona would have to explain why she lied or suffer alone. The new Arizona wanted to tell her wife plain and simple and trust that she would understand the possibilities and consequences of the information she was about to tell her. Looking into her wife's eyes, looking down at the new wedding bands on their fingers, the new Arizona won and she placed the tablet on her lap and took both of Callie's hands in hers and looked her in the eyes and asked, "Honey, do you remember why we didn't want to take a pregnancy test right away?" Callie nodded and recalled, "We were concerned that the HCG levels would be too high and give us a false positive. Is that what happened? Are we not pregnant?" Arizona could see the tears start to form in her wife's eyes and quickly wiped them away and corrected, "No baby, we are definitely pregnant. It's just, those hormone levels are still really high."
Callie looked into Arizona's eyes and whispered, "High like there could be something wrong with the baby? Or high like they just haven't evened out yet?" Arizona took a deep breath and explained, while I did take a lot of hormones, those would be out of my system by now and when a fertilized egg attaches, the HCG levels nearly double every day. These HCG levels are reading as if…as if there is a very strong possibility that the baby is not alone in there, which would explain why I am having very early symptoms."
Callie looked at her wife's stomach, then at the tablet, then at her best friend and back to her wife and asked, "By not alone…you…you're saying…" Arizona pulled Callie's hands to her stomach and responded, "It's too early to tell, we couldn't even detect it on an ultrasound right now honey, but there is a very strong possibility that I am carrying more than one baby. We will have to wait for another five weeks to be certain, but for now…because of my other counts, my high sugar, lower iron…" Addison cut in, "For now, we are going to treat this as a multiple pregnancy and put her on a stronger pre-natal vitamin, an iron pill and I'm going to prescribe something for her sugar but don't suggest she take it unless you two feel there is a need after monitoring it daily. Also, I am going to prescribe diclegis if nausea symptoms get really bad and keep her from sleeping, otherwise, she can take Zofran." Callie nodded then asked, "So if it's not twins, all of this extra medication…it won't hurt her or the baby?" Addie shook her head no. "Most of it is herbal supplements Cal and it's just a precaution in case there are two babies in there who need the nutrients. Arizona, I'd up your calorie intake by 300 more per day than I would a single birth at this point, just to be on the safe side. Get as much exercise as your leg and body will allow, swimming and walking are both good for you. You know the whole spiel." Arizona nodded her understanding but was still trying to process as well.
Addison wasn't sure what to say to her friends at this point, she didn't know if this news was good, bad, or just shocking. She wasn't sure if either of them heard her, but she offered, "If either of you have any questions, just call me, but remember, you have the best fetal surgeon sitting right here in this office. I'll be back in a few weeks for the ultrasound." She kissed them both on the cheek but wasn't sure that registered either. She took one last look at her friends and was honestly quite proud of Arizona for sharing this information and not trying to go through it alone for better or worse.
Arizona was sitting at the end of the sofa waiting for Callie's reaction. The more she thought about it, the more the idea became appealing to her. She'd known it was a possibility from the beginning so it wasn't as much of a shock to her, but part of her was afraid to even look at her wife. Sometimes Callie had two modes, extreme panic or extreme excitement. Suddenly she looked down and saw the tablet was being removed from her lap and placed on the table beside her and Callie was lying down on her lap facing her stomach. She lifted her scrub top and quietly said, "Hello there, it's mama. I just wanted to say I'm sorry, I didn't know there were two of you in there so I was only talking to one of you. I didn't mean to ignore you and I love you both just as much. We all do and mommy and I are so excited to meet you. We won't lie and say you weren't a surprise, but you were a happy surprise like a buy one get one free coffee or when you go to the cafeteria and the lady gives you two slices of pizza because they are too small, oh or in your case, when you break an egg and get two yolks." Arizona giggled at that and teary brown eyes finally met teary blue and in that moment, they both knew the other was not only okay with the idea of twins, but they were also thrilled with it. Arizona leaned down and captured Callie's lips with hers then Callie sat up and took her hands and revealed, "I know old Arizona was debating with new Arizona, thank you for fighting and not going through that alone." Arizona kissed her again and reminded her, "I don't have to."
As the two sat on the couch, Callie continued to rub her stomach and admitted, "I kinda don't want to go back to work now." Arizona giggled and answered, "Me neither." She almost…almost revealed her secret, but she only had 5 days, then she could surprise her wife with their honeymoon. She leaned over, kissed her on the cheek then reminded her, "But you have surgery soon and I have a consult in a few minutes." Callie groaned, stood up, pulled her wife with her, bent down and whispered, "You two be good to mommy." Then she kissed Arizona and left her office.

Early Wednesday morning, Kim went into Julie's room carrying her favorite pancakes covered in whipped cream with a single candle sticking out of it. Julie smiled, blew out her candle, but was almost certain her wish wouldn't come true. While she was thrilled to death for her friend, she wished she had found a family to love and care for her like Lorraine loved and cared for Kim. She knew all of the adults around her loved her, but none of them were in a situation to take in a young adult with a baby on the way. So instead of making a wish, she sent up a huge thank you for the things she did have. Kim could see the sadness written all over her friend's face and though she had no idea what the adults in their lives had planned for her friend, she at least knew they planned on taking her out for dinner and celebrating her birthday at her favorite burger place and Kim even got to pick the cake. While the two ate their breakfast that Julie was so gracious to share, Kim asked, "So any big plans for your big day?" Julie snorted and responded, "Hmmm, I get to go to work for the grumpy old lady, then I am sure at some point the people from the home are going to drop off my things with a letter that says thanks for staying but don't come back, but on the plus side, Arizona said I get to see little man today, so that's a good thing." Before her friend could get too down on herself, Kim made her get up and get ready for the day.
While waiting for Julie, Kim also spread the word that she was in a funk but each of the adults were sure she would be happy as a clam after her celebration. Once she got to Nicole's office, the older fetal surgeon noticed the mood right away and offered, "Okay, you've got 5 minutes to tell me what's eating at you, then we get back to work." Julie thought for a minute then asked, "This is a place for women's health right? So if you have a woman who comes in to have a baby and she's homeless, what do you do? Do you turn her and her baby out on the street? Do you take her baby away from her? Do you help her find a place to live? Like are there places for people like me? I turn 18 today and I'm supposed to be discharged Friday and I have no place to go." Nicole sat back in her chair for a minute, looked in the direction of the girl's voice and realized she truly didn't have anything. Without saying a word, she picked up her phone, dialed a number and ordered, "Robbins, come take Julie for her ultrasound." Julie eyed her boss suspiciously and asked, "That's it? No response?" Nicole looked in her direction and replied, "That was my response. Look at your son. Think about what you've got and not what you've not got." As soon as Arizona escorted the girl from her office, Nicole picked up her phone, made a few other calls and made sure everything could be taken care of by 8:00 this evening.
By Wednesday afternoon, everyone could see Julie's mood deteriorated as the day passed. Shortly before 5:00 pm, two rather official looking women who Lorraine recognized as the social workers from the group home walked into the lobby of Fresh START with two small boxes and two black garbage bags of belongings and asked to speak to Julie. Callie cut them off and asked about the purpose of their visit, one of the women handed her a letter and explained, "Since Miss Crowe has turned 18 and is also with child, she is no longer able to be housed in our facilities. We have included community resources that will help her get her on her feet along with government agencies that will help single mothers in her situation." The ortho surgeon was furious, snatched the letters and asked, "So this is how you treat orphans, wards of the state, you hand them their belongings in garbage bags and give them a letter kicking them out of the only home they know and wish them a happy birthday? Take your nonsense out of here. She has a home and a family now and doesn't need any of you or your help." Kim turned the corner and recognized the two women as they were leaving and also realized they were dropping off Julie's belongings. She sighed and said, "She really can't see this right now she's a mess today. All she's been talking about all week is what she is going to do on Friday." Callie looked up and saw Maria, Miguel, and the two girls walking through the door and smiled as she said, "Well how about we go put her mind at ease shall we?"
Callie texted Arizona who rushed into Nicole's office and declared there was something they needed to take care of in the parking lot. Nicole smirked and declared, "Well it obviously isn't me; I fired my driver." Arizona bit back her smirk and explained, "Actually your new driver's vehicle is blocking the fire lane and no one is claiming the car." Julie turned to Nicole and asked, "Why would you fire your old driver?" Nicole snarked, "Well because I got a new driver apparently." When they reached the lobby, they were met with Sofia and Bella both holding balloons that said, 'Happy Birthday' and they were surrounded by Kim, Dee, Lorraine, Maria, Miguel, and Callie. Julie looked around and tried to fight back the tears in her eyes and asked, "All this is for me?" Callie nodded and replied, "It's all for you birthday girl!" Julie narrowed her eyes at Arizona and accused, "You said a car was blocking the fire lane!" Maria held up a key fob and explained, "A car is blocking the fire lane, you should probably move it before you get a ticket." Julie stared at all the adults and felt the hot tears running down her face and declared, "You're joking right?" Nicole asked, "Why do you think I fired my driver?" Julie laughed and the group moved out of the way so Julie could finally see her car. Stepping outside, she saw a shiny navy blue Cadillac Escalade with a big red bow on the hood. Arizona explained, "It was Maria's idea that we all chip in and the Torres' paid for your registration and insurance and my parents bought the baby seat." Callie handed her two gift cards and explained, "Aria and Addison thought you might need some gas cards."
Julie just kept staring at the vehicle and asked, "This is a joke right?" Nicole muttered, "Damn expensive joke." Julie turned around and asked, "What was that?" Nicole retorted, "I got shotgun, get motion sickness in the back." Everyone looked at her and laughed and made sure they all knew where they were going for their birthday dinner. All the way to the restaurant, Julie just kept exclaiming how she couldn't believe how generous everyone was and how amazing everyone had been to her. Once they arrived at the restaurant, they barely had to wait since Callie called ahead with such a large party and the kids, including the two older girls ran off to play games. Arizona asked, "So, is she a good driver?" Nicole responded, "Well, I didn't see my life flash before my eyes." Everyone got quiet and stared at her for a moment then she said, "It was a joke, geez people, lighten up." She then leaned over to Arizona and asked, "Can you and Torres…Robbins-Torres…aww hell, your wife follow us back to my place, I want her to see something and I need you to tell me her reaction." Arizona agreed then turned to tell Callie.
When it came time to order, Callie was surprised when Arizona ordered an entire plate of extra pickles as well as a lemon-lime pop and a grape juice. When their orders arrived, they went through their regular routine of trading food, including Sofia, however when it came time to swap the pickles, Callie only received one of Arizona's pickles and surprisingly the blonde ate the rest which she normally detests and didn't touch the tomatoes, nor did she put ketchup on her fries. Callie was further perplexed when Arizona asked for a glass of ice and poured half of the pop and half of the grape juice into the cup. She looked around to see if anyone else had noticed these odd little quirks her wife had picked up. Fortunately they were all too busy asking Julie about her car to worry about Arizona. Callie slid her hand on Arizona's stomach and asked, "Are you okay?" Arizona bit into a pickle and asked, "I'm fine why?" Callie eyed the pickle, arched her brow and responded, "Oh, no reason."
As the evening continued and the cake was brought out, Julie suddenly realized she did have a family around her, people who cared and for the first time in a long time realized everything was going to work in her favor, they may not be blood, but her son would have a family. As they started to leave, Nicole asked Julie to drive her home and Callie offered to lead since they were going in the same direction and Julie didn't know the area well. Once they arrived at Nicole's home, she invited them all in and Julie, Sofia, and Callie were surprised by the talking walls which guided them through the house. Nicole said she misplaced something and asked Julie if she could check out the side bedroom for her then waved for the other two women and their daughter to follow. When Julie got into the room and opened the door, she found a full-sized bed, a bassinet, a baby swing, two dressers and nearly anything a young mother would need for her child.
She immediately started crying and Nicole explained, "To answer your question from earlier, yes, we make sure there is a place for young mothers like you. You have a place to go when you are discharged if you can handle eating dogfood for breakfast." Julie laughed, turned and exclaimed, "I'm hugging you now." Then she threw her arms around the older woman's neck making her call out, "Ooomph". Nearly choking, Nicole asked, "I did good Robbins-Torres?" Both women responded, "You did good Herman." Callie wiped Arizona's tears and whispered, "I blame you for this?" Arizona asked, "What my hormones?" Callie responded, "No, making her human." Both women chuckled and Julie asked, "Can I umm…can I stay here tonight?" Nicole responded, "I suppose, you might find a few things that fit you in one of those dressers. Besides I need a ride to work tomorrow." Everyone laughed and the Robbins-Torres family said their good-byes, wished Julie a happy birthday and left the two roommates alone, both of them silently hoping things turned out well.
A/N: Thanks for the great reviews. I hear some of your suggestions. Trust me when I say, sometimes things aren't what they seem. Up next, the honeymoon.
