A/N Chapter 2 is out I am very excited about this story. I just got so inspired to put out this chapter. Please forgive any mistakes and grammar issues. Oh and when a character is speaking a different language it will be (""). Please enjoy.
Chapter 2
It was a nice hot summer day and the first day of classes were always the most nerve reckoning. Blossom was annoyed and excited. She was annoyed because her roommate decided to stay up until three in the morning so Blossom lost sleep. Her first class was a basic class on the biology of life. It was a cool class. She learned a lot in one day. Her second lecture was biology of animals. She finished class around noon and went to meet up with her sisters for a quick lunch. She was enjoying her college experience so far and it was only her second day being there.
The college grounds had a nice little park with a centered lake so the girls decided to meet there. Blossom was the first one to arrive; she wasn't surprised she was always early and attentive. Bubbles arrived ten minutes after her and was wearing a pretty blue skirt and blue and white striped blouse. Her shoes were cute little white tennis and her hair was in her usual high ponytails. Blossom truly did envy Bubbles' hair. It was the one thing she had that her sisters didn't have beautiful long luscious hair but now Bubbles hair was longer and much more desirable. Bubbles hugged Blossom happily. She looked at her sister's outfit and frowned.
"Hey Blossom isn't it a little too hot for what you have on?"
Blossom looked at her outfit and didn't see a problem. She was wearing cute black leggings and a sleeved pink dress with cute black slippers. Sure it was a little hot but she had ice powers and cooled herself down whenever she felt her body was getting overheated. She gave Bubbles a smile and shook her head.
"Nope I think it's because of my ice powers I don't really get hot." Blossom explained.
Bubbles gasped, "Oh right I totally forgot you're so lucky."
Blossom smirked a bit. Bubbles may have the hair but she could never have her special powers. After a good fifteen minutes Buttercup came running towards them. Blossom looked her over and couldn't help but roll her eyes. She was wearing black boy shorts and a light green tank top with combat boots. Blossom never would understand her sister's tomboyish ways. Buttercup gave a slight wave as she asked where they were going for lunch.
"Well how about we go to this nice sushi place that just opened." Bubbles suggested.
Buttercup faked gagging, "Gross I'm not eating raw fish."
Bubbles pouted, "Well how about this nice salad bar place?"
Buttercup shook her head, "Too healthy."
Blossom groaned as she listened to her sisters bicker back and forth about where they were going to eat. Suddenly they stopped Blossom gave her sisters a look but then she felt this eerie feeling again. She looked at her sisters who were looking around for the danger. She looked as well and nearly had a heart attack when she saw none other than their arch nemesis the Rowdyruff Boys. They were talking opposite of them across the other side of the lake not even realizing they were being stared down. Blossom quickly flew towards them full speed; she was not going to let these villainous boys ruin her college experience. Buttercup followed quickly behind while Bubbles reluctantly followed her sisters.
The boys now acknowledging the presence of the girls backed away from them quickly giving them a good amount of space between them. Blossom looked them over and noticed how much they had changed. Brick still had his mullet and hat but he had gotten taller; he was at least 6'1. He had well defined muscles and his body was very toned. His eyes had gotten redder through the years it seemed and his hair had gotten even longer. Gone was his dark red shirt with a black stripe, black pants, and black converse. He was wearing normal clothes, a gray shirt and black jean shorts and his shoes were also gray tennis. Blossom glared daggers at him as she looked solely at him.
"What do you think you're doing here!" Blossom demanded.
Brick chuckled, "For someone so smart you sure are dumb my brothers and I are here to go to college you know get an education."
Blossom could hear his brothers laughing beside him but she didn't care she was on the verge to attack and send them to prison. Blossom took a deep breath and tried to control her temper.
"Why aren't you in prison!?" Blossom asked.
Brick rolled his eyes, "Good behavior."
"Bullshit!" Buttercup yelled.
Buttercup was seething; she had no time to deal with the rowdyruffs she was hungry and wanted to meet Syd after she had lunch with her sisters. This was not in her plans and she'd be damned if they ruined her college and adult routine. She stared daggers at Butch not caring that he had gotten a growth spurt or had gotten extremely muscular. She was sure she could still take him. He looked different compared to the last time she saw him. He had gotten rid of his spiky hair and now wore it slick back. Gone was his original forest green shirt with a black stripe, black pants, and black converse.
He now wore a black tank showing off his many tattoos. Buttercup couldn't believe how many tattoos he had. He had a sleeve of tats on his left arm and a leg full on his right leg. Some she could tell were covered by his green jean shorts. He had neck tattoos as well and aside from hating Butch with a passion Buttercup could appreciate the art on his body. Butch had on black combat boots like herself and what looked like gage piercings. Butch had matured a lot but Buttercup could care less. Butch gave her a wink causing Buttercup to turn red with anger. She could see him twitching from excitement and she wanted to attack him right then and there.
"Well Buttercup, why don't you ask the mayor he authorized us to be able to come and you know go to college and basically be able to be adults. We are eighteen after all." Butch stated.
Buttercup huffed, "No way would the mayor would ever let you three idiots out of prison."
Butch grinned and stepped forward much to everyone's dismay. Buttercup growled and stepped forward as well, never one to back down from a challenge. They stared at one another and the tension between them was so tense it was as if they truly wanted to kill each other the moment they got a chance. Buttercup was starting to get anxious and she wanted to fight. She was shaking in rage and anger. It had been a while since she was able to actually go all out. Blossom stepped in front of her much to her annoyance but she didn't say anything. She watched as Blossom gathered her thoughts and took a moment to think.
"I want to talk to Brick as the leader. We have to make the decisions and I will be talking to the Mayor about you three." Blossom stated.
Butch snorted, "How old are we?"
Blossom glared while Buttercup looked in confusion. Buttercup noticed something off with the boys. They were standing side by side instead of them standing behind Brick. They seemed as if they were equal instead of one having the title of leader. Buttercup examined them a little more and it seemed as if they were in sync in one accord. She didn't know how she could tell but she did. Brick looked at Butch and Boomer almost as if asking if it was okay. They simply nodded something she was sure Blossom missed. Brick sighed and flew a great distance away from everyone to talk. Buttercup was still in defense mode as her sister flew off with the enemy. She noticed Butch was relaxed instead of tense; he seemed annoyed actually. Buttercup glanced at Bubbles and saw she was very uncomfortable. Buttercup wanted to check on her but she knew better than to take her eyes off of her enemy.
"Geez so you girls still do the whole leader thing?" Butch asked.
Buttercup scowled, "Excuse me?"
Butch sighed, "Well it's weird we're eighteen and you are still following behind Blossom as if you can't think for yourself."
Buttercup glared, "Oh so you don't consider Brick your leader?"
Butch laughed, "Hell no he's our brother but we stopped doing the whole leader and lackey stick years ago. For reasons. Look, all I'm saying is it's going to catch up to you girls, especially you Buttercup."
Buttercup frowned, "You don't know anything about me."
Butch grinned, "I'm the only one that knows anything about you."
Bubbles was incredibly uncomfortable. She didn't like how hostile it was and she much rather be out eating with her sisters or hanging out with Robin. Boomer was staring her down making her very uncomfortable. He was super tall now compared to her and it kind of intimidated her. He looked different as well; he looked more manly and not childlike anymore. His hair was no longer parted but slicked back in a ponytail and shaved in the back. He was very toned and his muscles were well defined but they weren't bulging like his brothers. Bubbles looked him over more and saw his facial features were soft. He didn't have a baby face or anything but he had very nice soft features unlike his brothers.
He didn't wear his signature colored shirt with black stripes, black pants, and black sneakers. Nope he was wearing a black and gray striped shirt and black basketball shorts. He was wearing black flip flops as well and he seemed the most comfortable and relaxed out of the bunch. Bubbles stared Boomer down waiting for any signs of attack as she listened to Buttercup and Butch go back and forth. Bubbles was on edge; she did not want to fight or see her sisters fight; she just wanted a normal day with her sisters. She wanted to tell Robin about her classes and look for jobs with her. She wanted to go driving around the city to explore the area. She did not want to possibly fight and destroy their new home. Boomer gave Bubbles a small smile as he stared at her. It caught Bubbles off guard.
("You seem a little on edge I promise you my brothers won't attack you or your sisters.")
Bubbles' eyes widened as Boomer was speaking Japanese fluently. She frowned and decided to speak a different language she wondered if he knew other languages.
("How can I trust you you're evil and evilness can not be trusted.")
Bubbles was taken aback when Boomer started chuckling. Buttercup and Butch stared at them as they had their conversation trying to interpret what they were saying.
("I promise we don't want to fight we just want to be normal and live normal lives.")
Bubbles gasped, "How do you know Italian?"
Boomer shrugged, "I pick up on things pretty quickly now."
Bubbles looked at Buttercup who was looking at her with a questionable face. Bubbles simply shook her head and continued to stare down Boomer. It didn't take much longer till Blossom and Brick came back over. Blossom had her usual stoic face and Brick had a pissed off look. Bubbles did not like where this was going to go.
"We will be watching the boys from here on out." Blossom stated.
Buttercup growled, "What! Fuck that I'm not a babysitter."
"And I'm not a fucking child." Butch shouted.
Blossom glared at Buttercup telling her to stand down. Bubbles could see Buttercup was in utter turmoil. She wanted to say something but she knew better than to speak out of turn in front of the enemy. Bubbles could see Butch's expression soften for a slight moment but then turned hard again. She wondered what that was. The boys had truly changed.
"Look guys I'm going to be honest with you powerpuff girls or no powerpuff girls I'd just go about my normal day." Brick stated.
Boomer sighed, "That's going to be hard you know since we're going to be watched and can't really do as we please."
"I agree with Boomer. I'm not in the mood to be followed while I'm trying to enjoy my day." Butch stated.
Blossom huffed, "Well that's too bad you boys are evil and we will not let you cause any destruction. I'll be in charge of Brick and you girls will be in charge of your designated charge. Bubbles you're with Boomer and Buttercup you're with Butch."
"What about classes?" Bubbles asked.
"We'll have to adjust our schedules around them, that's all." Blossom stated.
Buttercup scowled, "So we'll be giving up a good chunk of our time watching these assholes!"
Bubbles could see Blossom getting irritated and she could feel the anger radiating off of Buttercup. She decided to stir the conversation so that her sisters didn't start a fight with each other.
"So then we'll exchange information and go from there. Until then I am super hungry." Bubbles announced.
Blossom nodded, "Yes I am as well Brick give me your dorm number I will be there later tonight to exchange information."
Brick smirked, "Ooo boys I'm going to get lucky tonight."
Blossom glared as she turned red from anger. Buttercup and Bubbles also exchanged dorm rooms with the boys. The boys all departed going their separate ways while the girls stayed where they were. Blossom sighed and turned to her sisters asking them where they wanted to eat. Bubbles looked at Buttercup who was visibly shaking in anger.
"I'm not hungry anymore, I'll probably just head to my dorm."
Bubbles nodded, "Yeah Robin and I are going to the mall today so I'll probably get a late lunch with her."
Blossom frowned, "Hmm alright well don't forget to get the boys information before you go out we have to make sure they aren't destroying anything."
Buttercup rolled her eyes and flew off not saying a word. Blossom was glaring iced daggers as Buttercup left she was disappointed at how immature Buttercup was being. They were superheroes first and foremost and they had a duty to protect the city of Townsville. Bubbles hugged Blossom goodbye and flew to her dorm. Blossom sighed heavily as she walked to the cafeteria to get something to eat. She called the mayor as well to see what was going on with the rowdyruffs. It didn't take long for the mayor to answer.
"Ah Blossom, what can I do for you?"
Blossom sighed, "Mayor I just saw the rowdyruff boys and my sisters and I are suspicious of them being here."
"Oh they went to your college, that's perfect, keep an eye on them would you."
"Of course Mayor we will. Why are they out of prison if you don't mind me asking?" Blossom asked.
"Oh you know good behavior. I have to go now. But Blossom remember you and your sisters are doing a good job."
Blossom smiled, "Thank you Mayor."
With that the call ended. Blossom shook her head as she went to the cafeteria. She shook her head Buttercup would get over it. She always put herself before Townsville. As she looked for something good to eat she felt the chill up her spine and looked around. Brick was at the bar looking for something good to eat. Blossom huffed and walked over to him ready to confront him.
"If you think about starting any trouble here I won't hold back." Blossom announced.
Brick groaned in annoyance, "Please leave me alone. I have done nothing wrong and you're already pissing me off."
Blossom scuffed, "You may have others fooled but not me I'm watching you."
Blossom saw the food on Brick's plate start to steam over. She looked at him ready for him to do anything that may endanger the other students but he didn't. He took a deep breath, dropped his plate in the trash and gave Blossom a stern look.
"Just text me I'll send you my class times etc do not bother me in my dorm." Brick stated aggressively.
He grabbed a torn piece of paper from out of his pocket and found a pen laying around on the floor and wrote his number down. He shoved it in Blossom's hand and stormed out of the cafeteria. Blossom had to control herself from not freezing him solid. She got her lunch and went back to her dorm, lucky for her Cathy wasn't there. She played some relaxing music and studied while she ate.
Buttercup was livid and she was pissed. She paced back and forth in her dorm. Syd watched Buttercup and asked what the problem was. Buttercup explained the whole situation only catching Syd's interest when she mentioned the rowdyruff boys.
"Omg they're here! How hot do they look? I bet they're sexy omg I bet they're hun-"
"Anyways Blossom basically told Bubbles and I we had to watch them," Buttercup sputtered out.
Syd frowned, "Well how come? If they're here and the Mayor knows I don't see why you have to watch them. I mean yeah if they've been violent but I didn't even know that the infamous Rowdyruffs were here so that has to count for something. Also shouldn't you talk to isn't she the real brains?"
"Hey you have a point. Nothing bad has happened so far and the mayor is always sending us on wild goose chases. I'm sure she will tell me all I need to know."
Syd who was laying on her bed perked up and moved over to Buttercup as she called. Buttercup rolled her eyes and put her phone on speaker. It took only one ring before 's sultry voice answered.
"Hey it's Buttercup are you busy?"
"Hmm I'm always busy but never too busy for my favorite superhero."
Syd made a gushing face as Buttercup gave her a look. Syd calmed down a bit and waited for Buttercup to speak.
"Well the rowdyruffs are here and Blossom told Bubbles and I we are supposed to watch over them. I wanted to ask, is it necessary for us to watch them?" Buttercup asked.
"No, they were let out on good behavior. They have been under surveillance for years and we just took them off. I would ask you to keep an eye on them here and there but they don't need to be watched at all times." explained.
Buttercup gave a sigh of relief. She thanked her and hung up. Syd clapped and congratulated Buttercup on her freedom.
"Oh, speaking of guess who got you a job interview."
Buttercup gasped, "You didn't!"
Syd smiled, "I did it today and it's in an hour."
Buttercup looked at her attire and went to change but Syd stopped her. Apparently the manager just wanted to see her in person to tell her she was hired. Buttercup couldn't help but hug Syd in happiness. Syd hugged her back and smiled as she was being dragged by Buttercup to the parking lot. While Buttercup looked for her car she got that eerie chill up her spine. She stopped and looked around making sure Syd was within arms reach in case something happened. Syd gasped as she looked at the corner of the parking lot. Buttercup immediately turned to see what was wrong and had to stop herself from cursing up a storm. In front of her was Butch. He had a backpack on his back and was getting on a dark green Harley Davidson. It was beautiful; it was everything Buttercup wanted in life. Buttercup was drooling at the beautiful bike. Everything looked brand new and so clean and shiny. Butch looked around and saw Buttercup and Syd staring in his direction. He grinned and put his green helmet on and sped away.
"Oh my gosh that man oozes sex!" Syd commented.
Buttercup gave a disgusted look, "What is wrong with you."
Syd giggled, "Sorry but he does."
Buttercup rolled her eyes and walked to her car. Syd scurried behind her and got in the car. Buttercup took a deep breath and sped off to her interview.
Bubbles and Robin were in their dorm eating salads and jamming to hip hop music. Bubbles was having so much fun with Robin she was so happy to have her for a roommate and friend. Robin grabbed the remote and turned the music down and threw her trash away. Bubbles did the same and threw her trash away and laid on her bed.
"Omg tell me I've been hearing all over school about the altercation between you and the rowdyruff boys. What happened!" Robin screamed.
Bubbles groaned, "Ugh so the boys are back and get this Blossom told us we have to watch them. We are not babysitters, we have lives you know."
Robin shook her head, "Aren't you eighteen why don't you just tell her no."
"Because she's the leader we…we can't go against her." Bubbles stated.
"Whatever this better not get in between our interview tomorrow." Robin stated.
Bubbles giggled, "Of course not this retail job is just what we need. Especially me. I can try to style people up and mix and match outfits to work on my design ideas. I'm so excited."
Robin giggled, "Same ugh I can't wait. All the gossip that will be surrounding that store. Oh my classmates were talking about a party this Saturday and we're totally going."
Bubbles agreed, "Yeah we are so going and I have the perfect outfit."
Robin laughed and turned the lights off and said her goodnights. Bubbles drank the last bit of her water and happily fell asleep. Around two in the morning Bubbles raced to go to the bathroom. She didn't understand why she always had to pee in the wee hours of the morning. When she was done she washed her hands and went to walk back down to her room when she felt that eerie chill up her spine. She took a deep breath and walked down to the boys sector to check things out when she once again reached the boys bathroom.
She knocked once waiting for someone to answer. She knocked again hoping that whoever was in there was fine. She knew danger was in there but it was the boy bathroom so she knocked once again luckily someone opened the door. She felt that chill race up her spine as she saw Boomer wearing nothing but a pair of blue sweatpants. She looked Boomer up and down looking at his very toned out six pack. Bubbles turned deep red as Boomer yawned and tried to understand who was in front of him. Bubbles tried to hold in her scream but she couldn't stop it. Before she could get her scream out Boomer quickly covered her mouth.
"Please don't scream, your screams can kill us all. Just breathe." Bubbles nodded and took deep breaths as she tried to compose herself. Boomer slowly lowered his hand from Bubbles mouth. "Are you okay?"
Bubbles nodded but she couldn't talk. She was so flustered that she was looking at a half naked Boomer. Bubbles let Boomer guide her to her room. Boomer went to walk away but saw Bubbles not moving. Bubbles was in shock. The eerie chill was getting to her the more Boomer came close to her and she felt faint for some reason. She knew she was about to pass out but she didn't understand why. She took some deep breaths trying to understand why she felt so sick but the moment she fell out Boomer caught her. Bubbles immediately pushed Boomer away.
"No don't touch me you're evil you're doing this you're making me sick." Bubbles announced.
Boomer took a step back, "Bubbles I swear I am not doing anything I just want to make sure you're okay."
Bubbles opened her dorm door and stumbled in her room waking Robin. She looked and saw Bubbles passed out on the ground and Boomer hovering over her. Robin screamed and ran to check on Bubbles.
"What did you do to her, you monster!"
Boomer looked around frantically as he tried to check on Bubbles but Robin wasn't having it. Boomer had no choice but to leave while Robin tried to see if Bubbles was okay. She grabbed her phone and called Blossom and Buttercup. They got there in three asked Robin what happened but Bubbles who was finally stirring started talking.
"I…hit m-y-my head." Bubbles explained.
Blossom quickly called the professor while Buttercup carried Bubbles to her bed and laid her down. It was going to be a long morning.
