Chapter 4

The Queen's Consort

As Monday quickly rolled in, to Kyoko's surprise; Kuon is already standing and waiting by her gate, "Good morning." He greeted which made the girl blush. Their walk to school was supposed to be quiet, however it ended up both talking to each other with all sorts of things, "Say, you'll be in the council room later?" Kuon asked and Kyoko nodded.

"I will have to review the club proposals for the upcoming festival." Kyoko informed and Kuon nodded.

"Mind if I stay with you?" Kuon made a sly lean on her side which made her blush the second time, "I mean, you're still going to tutor me right?" He cheekily added creating more reason to stick with her.

With a sigh, "Of course, you suck at Algebra, though you need to behave while you're in my office." Kyoko quipped and Kuon cringed at his previous quiz scores. Their walk was short and Kuon felt sad that they reached their school already.

Kuon still kept following her, "Where are you going?" Kyoko confused.

Kuon with his adorable one-sided-smile, "A gentleman always drops off his lady to where she is going." With a wink. It made Kyoko pout and flush red, yet she allowed him to accompany her. All eyes were on them as usual and the students are aware that instead the queen owning the said foreign prince, it is the opposite as Kuon showed his fangs early after his protective gesture to the school's council President.

Stopping in front of a fancy white double-door, "Here's my stop." She stood facing him, "You better go to your wing before the professor calls you late." Kyoko said in concern.

Kuon with his gentle and assuring smile, "Have a good class." Kyoko's two classmates from 'Class-S' snorted, while the sitting-in seniors that saw and heard them shrieked.

"And don't sleep in class." Kyoko scolded and Kuon laughed.

"Yes ma'am." He made a mock salute, and pairing it with a wink, Kyoko however rolled her eyes to mask her embarrassment. After Kuon left, poor Kyoko was mobbed by her lady classmates and seniors for a quick and juicy interrogation.

Meanwhile, "Whoa! There mister prince charming." Yashiro teased, "What's with the big smile?" Yashiro intrigued with his friends blooming mood and silly smile.

Taking his seat with a sigh, "Nothing much…" Kuon looked away.

"I bet something great happened to your love life?" Yashiro pressed as he was really interested but Kuon ignored him.

"Sensei's here." He stated avoiding his friend's interrogations and Yashiro pouted. During their break, Yashiro reviewed him with their lesson and surprisingly Kuon was quick to learn which made life for him easier. When lunch came, "Where are you going?" Yashiro asked.

"To Mogami-san." Kuon flatly said and Yashiro with playful grin followed him. Entering the council room, Kyoko was only one there, "Hi." He greeted.

"Did you eat your lunch?" Kyoko sternly asked and Kuon showed his fancy clear containers and Kyoko internally commented of how American he is. The three were eating until Kuon noticed Kyoko is still working while taking a bite of her lunch.

Kuon kept glancing at Kyoko like a hurt and impatient puppy, "Mogami-san?" Yashiro could not take it watching his good friend all worried and decided to help out, "Mind if I check on it?" He asked and Kyoko handed the paper to him, shortly he started suggesting and Kyoko's impressed with his skill.

"I know you already divided tasks to your officers but it would be nice if you have commissioned students to help them as secretaries for better management. You don't have to juggle everything." Kuon suggested in concern and pulled Kyoko to him, Yashiro who is busy dealing with the said schedules still squealed fanboying at the sight.

Kyoko already thought of those, but she doesn't know anyone who can be trusted to deal with other details. Giving up and accepting Kuon's proposal, "Yashiro-san, you don't mind working with Kotonami-san?" Yashiro's eyes lit up and gave her a smile nodding, "That's great, I'll let her know that you'll be with her on this. Again thank you."

"You're welcome and besides this is a great way to at least to pass some time." He chuckled and Kuon thanked him too.

Walking back to their class, Kuon dropped her off as usual, however this time the students that had been gossiping were holding some papers and giggling. "So it's true?" one squealed lowly, the girls giggled at the sight of their queen being escorted. Kuon and Kyoko ignored them and continued on with their day.

With classes over, Kuon excitedly went straight to Kyoko's office to see her and let her know he did his assignments already, and all she needs to do is use their study and review time for rest. Kuon really wanted her to relax.

However it didn't please Kuon that Kyoko had other commitments that afternoon, "I'm sorry, but something came-up, I'll be heading to the junior-high department since Maria-chan needs help." She sighed and Kuon understood that the council president's work is never ending.

"It's fine, mind if I come though?" He asked and Kyoko gave a chuckle knowing that if she refused he'll still follow her. With her permission, Kuon followed Kyoko to the all-girls-department. Having get used to the daily squeals he receive from their department, he turned deaf from the squeals the junior girls gave him.

"Onee-sama!" Maria went to tightly hug Kyoko, the older young lady returned the embrace, "I need help on the security." She pouted.

"Don't worry, I'll have Otto-kun to assist you." Hearing the name, the girls turned excited and the squeals turned louder shrieks, "Let me call him up right now, I bet he's with Rimuru-sensei." Kyoko assured Maria.

Kyoko and Kuon were invited to the junior-high's conference hall and shortly Kyoko's younger sibling came. "Nee-sama?" Otsukinoji's greetings to his sister.

"Thank you Otto-kun. You see Maria-chan badly needs the assistance for her department's security detail. Can you lend her a hand?" Her brother gave a nod.

"Certainly, however since my schedule is full tomorrow may I ask a bit of her time today instead, I promise to drop her home before seven, and rest assured that I will be informing Takarada-sama." Despite his cold tone Kyoko knew he means well and even with too much work on his plate he is still willing to help Maria since they are childhood friends.

Maria sighed and gave him a tight hug, "Thank you, Otto." It was adorable that Maria could only hug his middle part. "It's a bit hard since we only have girls in our department." She pouted, "And did you bulk up again?" palming and feeling his abdomen, slipping her hand under his waistcoat.

Kyoko and Kuon mused at the younger boy letting Maria feel him up, "It is fine, beside this is a good opportunity to get away from sensei." He sighed and continued with the meeting.

"Was that Takarada Lory's granddaughter?" Kuon finally noticed and Kyoko nodded, "Now that I remember you're into modeling right?"

Kyoko blushed at his question and nodded again, their walk home was slower than usual since Kuon doesn't want to part ways with her yet, however as much as they make their walk slow it was Kyoko's house already and Kuon being cheeky as usual, "I'll chat you later." He gave a wink and Kyoko pouted.

The next day, Kyoko is showing a picture to Kuon which made the young man amused, "He looked like Yojan Spencer." Kuon replied on a comment, mentioning one of his drama series characters after seeing the young Mogami in his waist coat with his tie undone, his legs crossed and reading some papers leaning on the arm chair. He looked like some guy straight out from a business like movie as what Kyoko pointed.

Now that Kyoko noticed it, she looked at Kuon and blushed. With a smirk Kuon thought of something to do later for Kyoko. "Mogami-sama, everyone is at the conference already." Kyoko's secretary informed and Kuon pouted that he wont get to drop her off.

"Head to your class, we'll see each other later." To compensate she pinched his nose which the secretary did her best not to shriek at the cute gesture of the two.

"Okay…" he cutely pouted and marched to his own wing of the building to attend his first subject.

During the meeting, one of Kyoko's officer pointed out security issues, "Rest assure that I have already got everything covered." Kyoko assured.

Everyone in the room eyed her in concern. "But what about you? We are aware that plenty of male students from other schools plus Fuwa from Akatoki will come and continue to ruin your job and pester you!" Maria from the Junior-high department worriedly stated, "Otto-kun promised he'll watch my back, but who's going to watch yours?"

"We should ask Hizuri-san then?" This time it was Chiori who suggested with a grin, Maria giggled at the blushing state of the queen, for the past year they never seen her in such look but now they felt that she became human after meeting Kuon.

Otsukinoji spoke, "I agree, Hizuri-san seemed to be sincere with Onee-sama, he'll make a good dog." To everyone's shock, the Duke himself had given his approval.

"Let us call for a five minute break." Kyoko tried to excuse them and hide her embarrassment. While everyone was out Kyoko almost yelped after Kuon sent her a picture similar to her brother's she had to breathe deeply after such emotional attack, though she's keeping it.

With the suggestion and majority demand, including the notorious Duke's approval, Kuon was shortly dressed to a new-temporary-uniform and to his delight, he now glued to his potential girlfriend's side as her personal guard.

The school's journalism club which had plenty of branches including their own paparazzi students quickly published a legitimate information about Kuon as their Council President's personal watch dog. And with the news coming out, Kuon was immediately given his own moniker.

Kyoko reading the articles from the school's news paper and Kuon reading the magazine, "The Queen's Consort, I like that." He looked up and gave a smug yet handsome smile to Kyoko who pouted and blushed redder than the rose planted by her window.
