Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Spark of War. Enjoy the 3000-word chapter. I don't own Avatar, Nick, Michael Dante DiMartino, and Bryan Konietzko do.

There was a crack in the air for a moment yet. He'd be a lot more to do next. This had to be done and dusted. He had a lot more on his mind when it came down to it. He had been questioned about what to do next. He had been a lot more to do next when all of this was said and done.

Hao could only question how long he and Ty Lee had been on the pillar above her. He would say the woman had a LOT of strength in her legs as she seemed to be able to keep them up there for a while at least. He felt her for only a second tighten her grip on him and her, her legs reaching across his back and onto the pillar.

She had wrapped against him a lot more tightly when it came down to it.

Still? if it wasn't for that simple fact? He'd be anywhere else. It had to end sooner or later. There was no other way that she hadn't been like this.

The shock of being locked to a pillar by a woman no older than he had long since worn off. She was odd, but he couldn't fault the woman for being so odd.

He had a lot more on his mind. It had to be done and dusted before now. He had a lot more to do next.

"So…" Hao said while he made sure his fingers hadn't lost their grip. "Why did you join the circus?" Hao questioned before he let out a small laugh.

Ty Lee didn't mind. She enjoyed making people laugh. Even SHE found the idea that both of them had been wrapped around a pillar to be silly. It wasn't like she wanted to tangle herself up with the cute boy… Not that she complained or found any real problem with it.

She hummed, her warm breath tickling his face before he laughed. She seemed to uncurl a little like a canyon crawler. He'd be a lot more interested later on.

Then again? There was so little she could say or do about this at the moment to the point where she didn't know what was going on at the moment.

There was at least some amusement in how insane this all seemed to be. A lot more to digest at the very least when it came down to it and she couldn't seem to wait for that. So much work for so little.

"Sorry. I'm not used to this." Ty Lee said before she blinked as she realized his question. "Oh, because I was a girl and young and stupid. I think it was 2 years ago, maybe 3 or more when it comes down to it. not sure, I can't tell to be honest. There's been a LOT on my mind when it comes down to it. sometimes I don't even know what to say."

Ty lee watched as Hao seemed to snort. The fact of the matter was simple. She knew a lot more on his mind that had to be said and done.

He'd be a lot more annoyed on this if he could be. There wasn't anything he could say or do about this. Not that he wanted to at the moment. She was odd, but she wasn't exactly thrown off by this.

"Are you ok?" Ty Lee asked while she sighed. "I'm sorry this is so weird when it comes down to it. I'm trying to make friends and then I air hug someone like this so weirdly." Ty Lee stated before she hummed to herself while glancing around.

She watched as he raised an eyebrow. She could only beam with delight at the idea that this had been part of her plan when it came down to it. There was a lot more to this than he seemed to want and so little of it was part of his plan.

Then again? He questioned a lot more than this at the end of the day and hadn't acted on it either damn way. Wasn't exactly the worst thing in life when it came down to it. he had to draw the line somewhere in how insane this would be at the end of the day.

He hummed, feeling her ponytail brush against his face. He laughed a hearty chuckle that almost seemed devoid of any real doubt or fear at the end of the day, it'd be a lot more interesting to him if he wasn't terrified. Wasn't as if he had much reason not to be at the end of the day.

This was after all more fun than it had been a little while ago. He saw no real problem with this… Besides how inappropriate this could be if not for the fact that the oddity of it seemed to balance it out entirely. This was something that had made him question what was coming next when it came down to it. he'd be a lot more focused on how to do this if it came down to it.

He hummed and took a deep breath before blowing the braid away from his face. It made the girl giggle as his warm breath tickled her ace. It made her question what was going on at the end of the day when it came down to it. there was so much more she wanted to say or do at the moment. She had to bite her tongue and simply hope for it to come true for the time being. Nothing else mattered to her.

"This is weird," Hao said in-between laughs as he hummed to himself. "I'm sorry, I'm not trying to insult you or anything. It's honestly cool… Did that knot thing tell you to wrap yourself along with someone like this? I'm not the most seasoned person on things like this." Hao stated before he hummed and seemed to question how they'd get down.

Ty Lee nodded and felt him almost slip, she managed to slip her slippers off before wrapping her feet back around the beam. She was glad it wasn't wooden but rather brick and mortar. She had forgotten Fire Nation buildings were created to withstand both assault and accidental use of fire bending. One wrong fire blast and the royal palace would be burned down to nothing.

It'd be a lot more interesting if not for the fact of how risky she felt this was. Hao simply stared at her, trying to shift his body, his knees pressing against hers. He locked his fingers tighter within hers as he leaned as far back as their position would allow without him falling and possibly damaging his legs at best before this came down to it. She hummed to herself before it came down to what to do next as of the second.

"Uh, yes. There is. I'm sorry if it's a lot weirder than you expected. I'm trying to keep you from falling… This was kinda stupid." Ty Lee stated to which Hao simply rolled his eyes.

She hummed and simply seemed to question what would happen when it came down to it. Hao had said nothing about how odd this would be when it came to their friendship. Why? Was he as odd as her? Did he enjoy this for some reason besides the obvious?

Another laugh told her that this had entirely when it came down to it. She could only smile as she realized her friend had indeed been by her side for now.

There was a lot more to do as of the second when it came down to it. She'd be ready as of the second when it came down to it. She hummed before she questioned what to do next.

(Current day)

Hao hummed before he brushed off his armor and looked around the room. His tent continued to seem as if it hadn't yet. He had been a lot more than yet to handle it when it came down to it. There'd be so much more interesting when this was all said and done. He had been a lot more focused on what to do. This mission was so odd as of the time being when this was said and done.

He sighed before he looked at the notes and plans, he and the others had been making. There was something horrid in the fact there had been little in the way of supplies and reinforcements. He had to use captured Earth Kingdom supplies to stabilize his foothold, a move that had disgusted him to no end.

This was going to be fun; it'd always be fun to her and she was a lot happier at the end. There was a lot more to this than he had expected, a whole lot more to do next.

"General? The next attack wave is ready. We need to move now or else they're ready for the attack." Hao heard as he hummed to himself.

"Then send it in, Major. We need to hit them harder or faster… I'll be heading to the southern position. They have a naval base there…. If we can seize it? their position will be weakened… And I heard we finally get the supplies and soldiers we need to keep pushing up. There's not going to be anything left otherwise." Hao said while he questioned what in the world their plan would be at the end of the day.

They had to break the stalemate. It'd be a lot worse if they didn't. anything less than a victory here would end badly for his men and his forces. He didn't much care if something bad happened to him so much as she worried for his men. He could handle getting a demotion or even some small manner of the problem from the upper echelons of this.

But his men were different. Many of them could end up being thrown on the chopping block for not getting the results expected of them.

He sighed and questioned what to do next. It'd be a lot worse if not for the fact that this was going to be a lot worse than it had been before now. This was going to be one for the history books if not for the fact that he was planning to win this campaign.

He would win this blasted campaign. He knew that and so did many of his men. This would end exactly the way he expected it to… Even if he had to cut the entire place to pieces slowly and painfully. This campaign would hurt them as much as it would the Earth Kingdom. Sadly? That was the price of war.

"And what about the rest of the men? We still have reserve units and armor that nobody had deployed yet." Hao heard as he waved his hands off before he hummed to himself.

"To the positions, we agreed on. We head from there onto the other places and then get work done. Anything else we can do is a miracle and you and I don't do anything." Hao stated before he sighed with annoyance.

There had been more problems in his life. More than he couldn't just ignore. If even a single flower was out of place in this garden? Everyone would suffer. The rest of his men, the soldiers they'd be fighting. The only benefit from this was simple. He had to keep fighting even if he had to rip all of this apart. He couldn't stop here… Nor did he wish to. The plan was too simple to fail now and he knew that even one little mistake would destroy everything.

Still? if he was to beat this and bring all of them home? He had to be willing everything besides people to win.

He placed his hands on the table and rolled his eyes had a lot more to question before this was done and dusted. The plan was a lot more work. They had to question when it came down to the plans. He was a lot more interested in what was to be said and done. Anything besides the plan was insanity as of the time being. he questioned what to do next. There was far too much on the line either way when all was said and done. The plan couldn't be any far off if he blasted tried… And try he did, to the end of time and back when all was said and done.

This was going to be a lot more insane of a plan when all was said and done. There was so much riding on the plan as of the time being. the plans could be ripped apart for the time being…And failing that? Well, he'd need a plan that didn't almost destroy the entire area.

That was a lot harder said than done before it came down to it.

He had been a lot or as of the questions was to be done. There was a lot more to handle before today was said and done anyway. Wasn't as if his plans were the best when it came down to dealing with the flaws.

He brushed off his armor. This had been so blasted easier when he could deal with things without worrying about getting so many soldiers killed before now. Anything that had been curious. It had been so easy years ago… Now he almost questioned.

There were more plans to be done and more battles to be fought before then. He had a lot more riding on this than he expected and it seemed as if everyone was conspiring to see him fail before he could go anywhere with the operation.

He glanced around and seemed to almost sigh annoyance as he turned and looked around the room. This was going to be something terrible before long. There was no blasted way it could be seen otherwise by anyone else.

If he was honest? He'd question what it was to be. He needed to interest himself in the plans.

This had been something new that they hadn't yet considered. Something new that bothered them for the time being. it had to be said that he wasn't yet a fan of these tactics. Yet here he was using them anyway. It had made him far more disgusted to know what had been happening before now when there was too damn much for him to back down now. he had to be willing to do what he needed to do or else nothing would change. He knew they probably would be and what it would do to him and the others.

It'd be something terrible if they found out. He couldn't tell them or else it'd fall apart worse than anything he could throw together. He had to be better than this before now, better than what he was currently.

Still? if that was the worst of his troubles? That would be almost child play for him at the time being. Anything else would be easy to counter if that was the sheerest easiest of problems when all was said and done before more time was focused on easier problems.

He placed his hands on the table while he questioned before he hummed as of the time being. He had a lot more to do next.

What would Ty Lee do if she was able to see him in this manner? It certainly wasn't something that had been when all of this was done before he knows. The problems at bay were far worse than he had questioned. This had been something that needed to be addressed either way.

The more problems that had been probing his mind. He had to be willing to handle whatever was thrown at him. Otherwise? What was the blasted point…? There had to be some point to this or else he'd scream.

Still? if that was what had been on his mind? It made him laugh. Things were simpler back then. He didn't need to worry about things like battle tactics. About whom would be leading assaults he knew almost nothing about. No. This was far beyond what he wished to be in charge of. Far beyond what he had to be ready for when the time was said and done. Anything else would be a problem. This was going to be a lot more of an interesting plan before all was said and done. Whatever had to be done would be done and blast anyone else. This couldn't be said and done easily.

"When there weren't any plans? It had been easy before now. now? I'm wondering about battleplans that decided the fate of entire battlefields and such… Oh, am I starting to hate this entire thing over and over and over again?" Hao muttered to himself with a sigh of annoyance before he fell all to pieces.

He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He had been brewing in his mind. This had been something horrible. He questioned what to happen for the time being.

Still? She had been a lot more focused on what was to be done next. This couldn't be done easily. There were very few if at all plans to end this before all was said and done. There was more to question before this had been a lot harder before there was more to say and do before it had been all said and done.
