Pendragon - 2009
Arias Villa
Nunnally held Lelouch's hand as they made their way to their Aunt Rebecca. She now had a fair idea that she was passing away, Lelouch told her she was going to a place called Heaven, that it was a place good people go when their bodies can no longer handle being on Earth.
Joseph was currently with Cornelia and Euphemia and they were both on a quest to find a mean doctor with a cane, Cornelia tried to explain he was just a tv character but Joseph argued he was based off a real person.
"Are you sure you're okay to do this, Nunnally?" Marianne asked her in a concerned tone.
"Yes, Mommy. I wanna make sure I wish Aunt Becky a fun time in Heaven!" Nunnally said in childlike happiness.
Lelouch smiled at his sister's innocence. Marianne knocked on the door.
"Yes?" Rebecca asked through the door.
"Becky, dear. It's us, Lelouch and Nunnally just wanted to talk to you." Marianne said softly.
"Of course, come in." Rebecca said with quiet happiness.
As soon as Marianne opened the door, Nunnally rushed in, hoping to give her aunt a hug.
But stopped short. For her, Aunt Rebecca wasn't in the room.
Instead, it was this...person. This pale, super skinny, bald person sitting on the bed with a small smile on their face, looking at her.
"Hey, Nunne." The person quietly said, revealing to be female.
Honestly, it was frightening for Nunnally. Her mom told her she was seeing Aunt Becky, this wasn't Aunt Becky, who was this woman?!
"Mommy...I want to see Auntie Becky..." Nunnally said in small, scared tone as she slowly backed away from the woman.
Marianne looked at her sadly and Lelouch looked at her with confusion.
"Nunnally, that is Aunt Becky." Lelouch told her quietly.
"No, no it's not. Why are you saying that, Lelouch?" Nunnally asked scared and confused, tears gathering in her eyes. "I want to see Auntie Becky, mommy! Please take me to Auntie Becky, please!" Nunnally said in sobs as she clutched her mother, scared tears running down her eyes.
"Shhhh...it's okay, it's alright." Marianne soothed her daughter as she picked her up and held her in her arms. Lelouch looked on sadly. "I'm sorry, Becky..." Marianne said to Rebecca apologetically.
"It's okay, Mary. It's hard for anyone her age." Rebecca said with a sad smile.
Marianne nodded as she left the room with a crying Nunnally. Lelouch stayed behind, not sure if he should stay with Rebecca or or make sure his crying sister was okay.
"It's okay, Lelouch. Nunne needs you right now." Rebecca said with understanding in her voice and a small smile. Lelouch nodded.
"Thank you Aunt Rebecca. I'm sure it'll be better next time." Lelouch said with reassurance.
"Absolutely..." Rebecca said with sad eyes.
They never got another chance after that.

Viceroy Palace
Today, Joseph woke up early.
Why? Because today was a special day.
A day that Joseph always made sure to keep track of. And considering he didn't keep track of too many things, this was important.
Today was his mother's birthday!
And he always made sure to get up bright and early for this day. Even better that he now had his family and new friends to celebrate it with!
So the first thing he did was go into Euphemia room to wake her up. He quietly opened the door and tiptoed to her bed.
"Hey, Eup, wake up. Wake up, Eup." Joseph said in quiet excitement as he gently shook her awake.
"Mmmmm...Joe? What time is it?" Euphemia said groggily as she slowly woke up.
"5am. Come on, celebrate time." Joseph said excitedly.
"Celebrate? Celebrate what?" Euphemia asked with quiet confusion as she rubbed her eyes.
"Mom's birthday. Duh." Joseph said as if it was obvious.
That seemed to perk Euphemia up.
"Aunt Rebecca's birthday is today?" Euphemia asked in surprise.
"Yep-yep. March 18th, clockwork. Now come on! Gotta get Corn!" Joseph said with enthusiasm as he pulled her out of bed and raced out of the room.
"J-Joe, don't you think it's a bit early to do this?" Euphemia asked, exasperated.
"Nope!" Joseph said happily.
...
Ever since Joseph got out of his coma, Cornelia had actually been sleeping a lot better recent days. It felt like a load off her shoulders, and she welcomed it.
What she didn't welcome was her brother suddenly kicking her bedroom doors open and jumping onto her.
"CORN!" He yelled excitedly.
"Joseph! What the Hell are you doing?!" Cornelia asked, pissed that her sleep was ruined.
"Mom's birthday! Come on, up time!" Joseph cheered as he shook her back and forth.
"Birthday? Oh, that's right. March 18th." Cornelia said in remembrance.
"Exactly. Now up, up, up!" Joseph said in determination as he shoved Cornelia out of her bed.
"This couldn't be done at a later time?" Cornelia asked in annoyance.
"Never early for mom! Now to living room!" Joseph cheered as he ran out of the room.
"I almost wish he was in a coma again." Cornelia muttered in annoyance.
"Oh, sister." Euphemia said unamused.
"I said 'almost'." Cornelia reassured.
...
The Li sisters waited in the living room, still in their pajamas and still trying to wake themselves up.
"Ugh, and to think I actually didn't have to start my duties early today." Cornelia muttered as she sipped on some coffee.
"Come on, Cornelia. We both how much this day means to Joseph, especially now that Aunt Rebecca has passed. I say we indulge him in anyway we can." Euphemia happily offered.
"(Sighs) I suppose you're right." Cornelia said begrudgingly.
Joseph then came through the doors holding a box of some sorts.
"What's that?" Euphemia asked curiously.
"A butsudan." Joseph said happily.
"A what?" Cornelia asked.
"But-su-daaaannnnn!" Joseph enunciated. "Japanese memorial box." He explained excitedly as he put the box down on the table in front of them.
"Oh, how sweet." Euphemia said kindly.
"Why just an Eleven relic for such matters?" Cornelia asked with a bit of scrutiny in her voice.
"In Japan, use Japan traditions." Joseph explained with an obvious tone.
He opened the box, revealing a shrine made out knick knacks dedicated to his mother. One shelfs had tapes she acquired from years ago that Joseph kept on his person, another was painted green and had a stuffed turtle on it due to Rebecca's love of turtles. In the center was the photo of Rebecca holding a baby Joseph, with a burner holder and an incense stick below.
"Oh Joe, it's beautiful." Euphemia said sweetly. "Where did you get it?" She asked.
"Not get, made last night." Joseph said simply, surprising his sisters that he made this in just one night. He took out a mug from his coat and placed it next to the incense sticks. "Happy birthday, Mom. Here favorite drink." He said happily as he took the pot that Cornelia brought with her and filled up the mug. Euphemia looked on fondly while Cornelia just rolled her eyes, wondering why he indulged himself in such ridiculous ways.
He then took two rocks and rubbed them together to create a spark and light the incense.
"Why didn't you just use matches?" Cornelia asked, curious why he went through the trouble of using an older technique.
"Cause have rocks. Duuhh." Joseph said as if it was obvious, making Cornelia deadpan at him. "Now come pay respects." He practically ordered his sisters as he kneeled down in front of the butsudan and held his palms together in prayer.
"Are you kidd-" Cornelia tried to protest but Euphemia was already pulling her towards the ground and had her kneel besides Joseph in prayer. Cornelia sighed in defeat and went along with what she considered a fiasco.
After that, Joseph took his sisters to dining room and served them Rebecca's favorite breakfast, which was was foot-size omelets with three different types of cheeses on it. The chefs would later see the gigantic mess made in the kitchen.
Then they shared stories about Rebecca, Joseph had plenty so he let his sisters go first. Cornelia remembered when Carine's mother insulted her for joining the military at such a young age, that she hoped she get her "loins properly disciplined" by the men there so she learn how to be a proper lady. In return, when Carine's mother had to use the toilet, she found her bum superglued to the seat, courtesy of Rebecca. It took eight hours that day to get herself detached from the seat.
Euphemia remembered how Rebecca used to babysit her whenever Cornelia was training or her mother simply didn't have time for her. While Cornelia taught her how to be a proper lady, Rebecca definitely gave her mischievous side, especially when it came to participating in pranks with Joseph, to her sister's utter dismay.
By midday, Joseph brought out a red velvet cake and gave his sisters each a slice.
"Mmmm. The cake's delicious, Joe." Euphemia complimented, also happy to give cravings to her sweet tooth. She tried to take another slice but was quickly stopped by Joseph.
"Ah, ah, ah! Just one! Rest for friends." Joseph ordered, making Euphemia pout.
"Try not to come back too late. I plan on serving fried chicken and lumpia tonight, as much as I hate how messy that food is, I know it was your mother's favorite meal." Cornelia said with a smile.
Joseph responded with a kiss on the cheek and calling her "Best Big Sis ever!" Making her chuckle.
He then grabbed the cake, the Butsudan, and jumped out the window.
"Remember how he used to just use the door all the time...I miss those days." Cornelia said tiredly, making Euphemia giggle.

"Are you sure you want me to be the messenger?" C.C. asked, currently with glasses and a dark brown wig on, as well as a business suit. They both made sure not to look at each other.
"If you look humble, they'll look down on you. That's how it works with the Chinese Federation." Lelouch advised.
"I don't know about that, but unlike you, I do have some humility." C.C. assured him.
"Good, now you can put it to use. How's your passport?" Lelouch asked, wanting to make sure everything was squared away.
"Not a bad forgery. I'm all set." C.C. told him.
"Okay then, I have to get to school now. Update me when you can." Lelouch told her as he left.
"Yes, yes." C.C. told him with a bored tone.

Ashford Academy
Lelouch was walking his way up to the school when he heard Suzaku call after him.
"Hey! Lelouch!" Suzaku said as he ran towards him.
Lelouch couldn't help but look at him sadly as he thought about a distance memory.
...
(Flashback)
Japan
A 10 year old Lelouch was carrying an eight year old Nunnally on his back while a 10 year old Suzaku walked slowly behind them.
"Where are we going? Are we getting moved to another place again?" Nunnally asked innocently.
"It's one of the Kururugi's homes. This time, it's the main house, okay?" Lelouch told her reassuringly, he noticed Suzaku looking at the multiple dead bodies around them. They ranged from men, women, children, and even babies, it was a disturbing sight to say the least. But Lelouch knew they couldn't afford to be distracted right now. "Keep on walking, Suzaku." He told him.
"But…" Suzaku tried to say.
"Keep walking." Lelouch insisted.
"Where are we? It smells really bad here…" Nunnally asked with unknowing-ness.
"We're going by a garbage dump. Right, Suzaku?" Lelouch told her to keep her calm, but then noticed Suzaku had stopped walking.
"What's wrong, Suzaku?" Nunnally asked, wondering why Suzaku was so quiet.
"I…I…" Suzaku said quietly, trying to overcome the sadness he was feeling. Only to feel a small hand caress his cheek. He looked up and saw who it belonged to. "Nunnally…"
"My mother taught me that a warm touch is good for tears. Do you think it's true?" Nunnally asked sweetly.
(Flashback End)
...
"Suzaku...I swear to you, I will help you overcome this." Lelouch thought to himself in determination. However, Suzaku couldn't help but notice he was just staring at him.
"What's up? You know, they're gonna hold you back if you don't start coming to class." Suzaku told him worriedly.
"I could say the same about you, right?" Lelouch teased.
"Hey! I have work to do. It's just that the Black Knights have really been on the move lately." Suzaku said.
"Still, how about dropping by for dinner more often? Nunnally misses you. Are you free this evening?" Lelouch offered with a smile.
"Yeah, I could come tonight. But are you sure it's okay? I don't want to cause any–" Suzaku didn't get to finish as Rivalz suddenly swerved his motorcycle in their direction.
"Hey, Lelouch!" Rivalz said frantically.
"What's wrong?" Lelouch asked casually, already knowing what Rivalz's problem was.
"I hear that the president's blind date is today!" Rivalz shrieked.
"Uh, yeah, today." Lelouch said casually.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ABOUT IT!" Rivalz asked in frantic furiousness.
"Because it'd make you cry." Lelouch said simply.
"Boys don't cry!" Rivalz complained.
"It's okay. I didn't know about it either." Suzaku offered sympathetically
"Don't give me your emo routine!" Rivalz said angrily.
"Emo?" Suzaku asked with surprised confusion.
"I guess compassion is not in fashion these days." Lelouch said with a chuckle. "So anyways, are we on for..." Lelouch didn't finish his question as he soon heard the sound of a guitar riff.
"Hey, it's Prince Joseph!" A student yelled.
And indeed it was, he walking towards his Lelouch, Suzaku, and Rivalz as he had his walkman playing in loud volume.
You gotta get up in the morning take your heavy load
And you gotta keep goin' down the long black road
He also appeared to be holding a large black case in his hand with a cake in his other. Students started to gather around him excitedly.
"Your highness, it's great to see you!" A female said as she waved at him.
"Hey, 'Eat That Horse!'" A male student cheered. Lelouch rolled his eyes at that.
"You think they actually like him, or are they just being nice?" Rivalz whispered to Lelouch in curiosity.
"Both." Lelouch said simply, while most the students here were probably being welcoming on the fact that he was prince, there probably were a few that genuinely loved the type of personality he had.
Moat likely the ones who always brought up "Eat that Horse!"
Joseph greeted back the students with a smile and laugh, but they weren't his priority, celebration time was. He walked up to his brother and friends.
"Hey! There my boy toys!" Joseph cheered with a southern accent.
"Ugh. That's not how that expression is supposed to be used..." Lelouch said weakly.
"Hey, Joe. Is that a butsudan?" Suzaku asked curiously.
"A what-su-dan?" Rivalz asked, forgetting about his own problems momentarily.
"It's a box made for Japanese rituals when you want to memorialize your loved ones." Suzaku explained.
"Yep! Mom's birthday today! In Japan, Japan traditions!" Joseph cheered.
"Birthday?" Lelouch asked in surprise. "That's right, she would have been 45 years old this year." He said in realization.
"Damn straight. Come on, all friends celebrate together!" Joseph encouraged as he gestured towards the student council building.
"But we have school." Suzaku said, surprised by the sudden declaration.
"And Milly is on a date with a suitor." Lelouch told him.
"Ah! Don't remind me!" Rivalz shrieked as he put his hands over his ears.
"Pffft! School, schmule! Educate anytime, birthday once in lifetime!" Joseph declared.
"...It's once every year." Lelouch said after a moment.
"Exactly! And Milly celebrate later! Now come on! Rivalz, get others! Us to Nunnally!" Joseph ordered as he marched towards the building.
"Um, okay?" Rivalz said, not expecting his day to go in this direction.
"I guess we don't have a choice, do we?" Suzaku asked with a knowing smile.
"Nope, out of all days, this is definitely the most important for Joseph." Lelouch said with genuine happiness as they followed Joseph.

ASEEC
"Are you surprised?" Lloyd asked, not even paying attention to Milly as he was typing away at his computer
"Uh…" Was all Milly could think of saying, as she wasn't expecting her date to be in a knightmare hangar. She was starting to wonder if she should have even dressed up for the occasion.
"Matchmaking dates are usually in hotels or restaurants." Lloyd pointed out, still looking at his computer.
"I–I suppose that's true, but I'd heard you were very unique person, Lord Asplund." Milly said nervously.
"Unique! What a delightfully artful way to put it!" Lloyd said with a chuckle, finally turning to look at Milly.
"And Joseph had plenty of nice things to say about you as well." Milly added.
"Oh yes, that's right. You're one of the friends his highness visits at that school you attend. You told him about our little get-together?" Lloyd asked curiously
"No, he just talks sometimes about coming here and how you build 'cool, giant robots.'" Milly said with a chuckle.
"Well it is a gift." Lloyd said proudly as he went back to typing, not caring that the information was technically suppose to be confidential.
"I'm surprised you're interested in a girl from the downgraded Ashford family after it lost its rank." Milly said curiously.
"Normally I would be surprised your parents wouldn't just try to use Prince Joseph to gain back their rank, but they probably don't want to be known for associating with someone of his mental status." Lloyd said politely, as he went back typing. Milly narrowed her eyes at that. "Not trying to insult the man, just making an observation. I myself couldn't care less about a loss of rank." He explained, surprising Milly.
"Excuse me." Cecile said politely as she came by with some tea.
"I'm sorry to trouble you." Milly said in equal politeness.
"Not at all. Take your time." Cecile said in understanding.
"No need for that. Why draw it out? Let's get married." Lloyd said casually.
"Huh?! That's it?!" Milly said in shock, not expecting the conversation to go like this at all!
"Getting cold feet? Lloyd asked with a smirk.

Student Council Building
Nunnally was in the meeting room, playing with her origami birds, when she heard familiar footsteps approach.
"Lelouch, you know you shouldn't keep skipping class." Nunnally lectured with a pout.
"Not my choice this time, Nunnally." Lelouch said with a chuckle.
"Hey, Nunne!" Joseph said happily as he went over and kissed Nunnally on the cheek.
"Joe? What brings you here?" Nunnally said surprised but happy that her brother was here.
"Mom's birthday! Duh!" Joseph exclaimed as he put down the cake and butsudan. "Only one keeping track?" Joseph asked, a bit annoyed that he had to remind his siblings what day it was.
Nunnally gasped in surprise.
"...I didn't realize it was today..." Nunnally said after a moment. Joseph saw this and regretted being annoyed.
"Hey, no prob! Know now!" Joseph reassured with excitement.
It was then the rest of the student council(minus Milly) came in.
"A butsudan?" Kallen asked.
"Yep! Celebration done right." Joseph told her happily.
"Did you make it?" Nunnally asked as she felt the box with her hands.
"Yep-per-rooni. Good ole' hands." Joseph said cheerfully as he showed off the splinter scars he got while making the butsudan last night.
Nina approached Joseph nervously with a homemade card in her hands.
"Um Joseph...I made this card for your mother. I hope it's okay." Nina said shyly.
"Awww. Love it!" Joseph said excitedly as he pulled Nina into a tight hug, making her face go mad with redness. Thankfully she was able to keep her lower region dry this time.
He took the card and put it on the top shelf, next to the photo of Rebecca.
"Mom, meet friends!" Joseph said excitedly as he gestured to the student council, he tugged Suzaku over and wrapped his arm around his shoulder. "Remember Suzaku? Training buddy!" He said happily as he gestured to Suzaku.
"Um, hello Lady Rebecca, it's been awhile." Suzaku said with a small smile.
And before he could say anymore, Joseph quickly pushed him away and grabbed Shirley next.
"Shirley. New sis!" Joseph introduced. "Lelouch's girlfriend." He whispered to the photo. Making the others laugh and Shirley and Lelouch blush.
"We're not there yet! It's just been one date, Ms. Rebecca." Shirley said awkwardly.
"Ri-valz!" Joseph exclaimed as he pulled Rivalz in and scurried Shirley along.
"It's pronounce 'Rivalz' actually, your highness. But I let him call me Ri-valz." Rivalz said cheerfully
"They know they're talking to a photo right?" Kallen whispered to Lelouch while Joseph introduced Nina to his mother and she starts complimenting her hair and dress in the photo.
"Better than talking to nothing at all." Lelouch argued.
Before she could reply, Joseph quickly pulls her over.
"Kallen! Best bud!" He exclaimed as he pulled her into a tight hug.
"J-Joe!" Kallen said awkwardly, already blushing, causing Nina to glare at her. "Happy Birthday, Lady Rebecca." She said politely, giving a formal Japanese bow.
"Alright! Time for cake!" Joseph declared as he went to find something sharp to cut his cake.

Ohgi's Apartment
Chigusa heard the door open and saw it was Ohgi.
"Welcome back." Chigusa said happily.
"Oh, uh, h-hi." Ohgi said in surprise.
"Good timing. The meal's almost ready." Chigusa told him as she gestured to the food she was preparing.
"Meal? You mean…did you go out shopping somewhere?" Ohgi asked, afraid someone saw her.
"No, I just used what you had around. Some people here are afraid of Britannians, so…" Chigusa trailed off, Ohgi knowing what she implied.
Ohgi went into the other room and opened up his laptop to look at the security cameras he set up in his house. Going over the footage to see if anything interesting popped up.
"Have you been able to remember anything yet?" Ohgi asked.
"Sorry, nothing at all yet…" Chigusa said sadly.
"That's okay. Don't push it. You're still healing. It's all right if it takes time to remember." Ohgi reassured as he went back into the room.
"Okay, it's ready. I sure hope you like it!" Chigusa said happily as she put the meal on the table.
"S-Sure." Ohgi said, couldn't help but smile.

Garden
Cornelia and Euphemia are relaxing in Clovis' garden, with Cornelia's head in Euphemia's lap.
"It's been a while since we could spend alone time like this. There've been so many unexpected events since we came here, our brother being one of them." Cornelia said in a relaxed tone, she then stuck her arms and tickled Euphemia in the gut, making her laugh. "All of that desk work…it's making you fat." She joked.
"Hey, cut it out! That's not funny!" Euphemia said while laughing, which made Cornelia laugh too. "Cornelia, don't you think this garden looks familiar? It's like Lady Marianne's." She commented.
"Now that you mention it." Cornelia said in realization.
"I heard Clovis ordered them to build it like this." Euphemia said quietly.
"I'm surprised he liked her villa that much since he was always fighting with her son, Lelouch, there." Cornelia said nostalgically.
"He must have thought of Lelouch as his rival." Euphemia mentioned.
"Even though Lelouch was younger?" Cornelia asked quizzically
"Well, he kept paintings of Lelouch and the others. We've found them after he was killed." Euphemia said.
"I see…" Cornelia said quietly, thinking about her younger siblings from the villa "We need to stabilize this area and capture Zero fast…to avenge Clovis, as well as Lelouch and Nunnally. This land has taken the lives of three of our siblings. It's soaked in our family's blood." She said in a sullen voice, Euphemia looked at her sadly.
"It gave us back Joseph, at least." Euphemia argued
"After the world chewed him up. Area 11 just happen to spit him out." Cornelia said bitterly. Euphemia could only sigh.

Student Council Building
After a couple hours of eating cake and dancing to Rebecca's favorite tunes, Milly came back from her date. Rivalz tried to get details out of her but she remained tight lipped, thankfully for her, Joseph stirred the subject away and kept it focused on Rebecca's birthday. They shared stories about encounters with her until Suzaku had to leave for military duties.
However, Lelouch couldn't help but notice that Nunnally stayed rather quiet the whole time during the party. He was about to see what was up until Joseph gathered everyone's attention.
"And now, speech!" Joseph declared as he took out a piece of paper for a speech he wrote. "Happy Birthday mom! 45 today! Halfway to 90! Your day, great day, special day! Wonderful mom and person! Loved movies, music, turtles and cartoons! Loved especially me, Lelouch, Nunne, Eup, Corn! Took no shit, treated..." He stopped his speech when he started to hear the sound of crying coming from Nunnally.
"Nunnally? What's wrong?" Lelouch asked worriedly immediately came by her side, as did Joseph.
"I was horrible to her..." Nunnally said through her tears.
"Who? Aunt Rebecca? No! You loved her tremendously." Lelouch tried to reason with her, hating his sister upset.
"Then why couldn't I see her when she was dying?!" She asked frantically. "Why couldn't I just put up the courage to tell her goodbye instead of convincing myself that the woman laying in that bed was a monster pretending to be her?" She asked sadly.
"It was because of me that you missed your chance to say goodbye to her Lelouch...and I ended our relationship on a horrible note because how much I hurt her feelings that day...she was so kind and gentle with us, and I returned it with fear..." Nunnally said in anguish as she finally broke down in a sob.
"Oh Nunnally..." Lelouch said sympathetically as he brought his sister into an embrace. The rest of the council looked on sympathetically as well, wishing they knew what to say to cheer her up.
"Hey, hey...none of that." Joseph said softly as he came over and ruffled her hair. "Mom loved with all heart. Both of you. Knew she scary looking. Said like Gollum himself!" He said reassuringly in strive to both his siblings, making them laugh.
"That would be something she would say." Lelouch said in agreement.
"Just little kid, Nunne. She knew that, no hurt heart." Joseph said positively, Nunnally thought about this.
"I just wish I could have properly told her goodbye." Nunnally said quietly.
"So do so." Joseph said simply as he brought over the photo of Rebecca and put it in Nunnally's hands.
Though Nunnally couldn't see it, she could feel from the texture from how old it was that it was the same photo Joseph kept of Rebecca over the years.
"Goodbye Aunt Becky. You were one of the nicest people I had ever known, you always took good care of us when mom wasn't around and you always made me laugh. I'm sorry that I didn't say any of this when you were still alive, but I hope you can still hear it." Nunnally said quietly, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Joseph has been a great big brother too. Making sure we remember your birthday and everything, you would be very proud of him. Anyway, Happy Birthday!" Nunnally finished happily as she kissed the picture.
"And we hope where ever you are, you're with our mother. We love you Aunt Rebecca, Happy Birthday." Lelouch added with a smile.
"There we go. Now no moping, only roaring." Joseph said as he put his forehead against Nunnally's. "Okay?" He asked.
"Okay." Nunnally said with a giggle.
"Raaah!" Joseph roared.
"Raaah!" Nunnally roared back.
This made the council laugh, and yet, Kallen couldn't help but look at the three in wonder.
"Toast to both mothers! Rest in Peace!" Joseph cheered as he raised his walkman in the air.
"Rest in Peace!" The council cheered.
"Alright! More tunes!" Joseph cheered as he push play on his walkman.

Hospital
"The test results came out fine, though you seem to pay extreme attention to discipline and to weighing the value of human life." The doctor concluded as she looked at the results of Suzaku's medical checkup.
"Is that going to cause problems?" Suzaku asked, a bit worried he wasn't going to be able to serve.
"These are the positive traits for a soldier. Do you think subconsciously you are comparing yourself to your father?" The doctor asked Suzaku, surprising him. "That may be the underlying cause of your insecurity. It's quite common in the children of famous people. Your father Genbu Kururugi, the former prime minister of Japan. He was a great man."
...
Gravesite
Tohdoh, Chiba, and Asahina stood before the memorial of Genbu Kururugi.
"Urabe and others are late." Chiba commented.
"Well this sure is an ironic meeting place, isn't it? The grave of Prime Minister Kururugi?" Asahina said in a mood.
"The traitor who told us to fight to the end, then commit suicide himself." Chiba said with a sneer. This brought Suzaku to Tohdoh's mind.
"Enough! General Katase also committed suicide and he was a true patriot." Tohdoh commanded.
What none of them realized was the group of Britannian soldiers watching from a distance.
"Fugitive Tohdoh, identified. All unit, prepared to move in." The commander of the soldiers said.
"Yes, my Lord." A soldier said.
To Be Continued.
...
So pretty short chapter there again, wanted to flex the relationship between Joseph and Nunnally some more, also to hint at the fact that Kallen is starting to put two and two together about some things. Next time, we'll be getting back into full on canon with the rescue of Joseph's sensei: Tohdoh, and oh man do I have a doozy in mind for that! Anyway, I also made a thumbnail of an amateur drawing of what Joseph looks like, not professional I know, but at least it gives you an idea, the photo suppose to be black white with just his pants and eyes being in color. Anyway, hope you liked this chapter, tell me what you think.
BTW, sorry if got the traditions of the butsudans wrong, I'm not too familiar with it.
