Overview
The only daughter of the head of the Tokino family, one of the powerful noble clans of the Orb Union. After her father perished during the Battle of Orb, along with Chief Representative Uzumi Nara Athha, Rio began to bear an intense hatred for the Atlantic Federation, and by extension the Earth Alliance for their act of violating Orb's neutrality. However, her realizing that hate will only send her down to a dark path and diminishing her family's honor, her eventual teammates come to her side and renewed her devotion to protect Orb. Unlike the current Chief Representative, Cagalli Yula Athha, who was raised to learn humility by Lord Uzumi and her brash and fiery temper that keeps her from becoming a behaving like a princess or even a leader of a sovereign nation; Rio is arrogant, charming, domineering, and sophisticated; but her devotion and loyalty to Orb is stronger than anyone of the nation's clan members. She is eager to punish those who violate Orb's neutrality or make its citizens cry, befitting her nom de guerre as the "Judge, Jury, and Executioner".
