Oh god no! Oh hell no, trouble and its huge, flies and it breaths fire and it is one pissed off and very territorial monster! You all know the game, I know some of you played it, and now the real answer is… How the hell do you kill a Rathalos?! Enjoy reading this everyone, it's about to get intense!

Chapter 776: Beast of Flames!
(Royal Fortress.)
Right now, a battle is waged and the forces on the base are trying everything they can to blast the beast in the sky and a few dozen aircraft have been knocked away and sent crashing, they have so many casualties onboard and the base is taking fire.
The Royal Defenders are all onboard and sending every last attack they can give to this unstoppable flying monster. Leon and Sergei drive around the Tiger Tank to keep it occupied, while Linka, Gwen and Carol take the shots and hope they can aim for something.
Lori is making a lava barrier and then sending one magma shot, and then Luna and Dana attempt to slow it down with ice, but they miss their shots, while the rest are trying to get the wounded out of the area, and the FutureTech base has all defenses online, but their losing the defensive guns and missiles launchers.
Neil is flying around in his dark dragon form, but not full DeathWing and he tries to lay down some pain, but only yo be knocked away. The Netherdrakes are in the air and also try to help, and even Marcy in her Light Fury, and though her dragon is fast, they haven't done any damage.
Martin has locked down all super weapons, and Victor along with Sam are taking off and trying to hit it with something shocking, but it seems smart and is evading them, almost like it doesn't wanna be shocked, and Peter Sharp is on the ground and firing his sword modified into a cannon.
Lincoln makes tactical commands onto the ground forces to slow it down, and that he needs Cry legionnaires to get into I.F.V's to slowly cool down the beast, and Jordan runs past him on her Indoraptor and she also tries to lay down some suppressive fire.
Gyro is sending wave after wave of magic, and he even tries to send a magical shackle, but he misses and Neil is hit. "What the fuck, man?!" He crashes onto the ground and almost hits the Tiger Tank trying to drive and shoot.
But what in the hell is the monster laying waste to the Royal Fortress?
Rathalos.
The Flying Wyvern Species and also known as the Fire Wyvern or the King of the Skies.
Known to use only the element of fire, these beasts have different species and this one seems to be a basic Flame Rathalos. They are the male counterparts to the female species, known as Rathians. They are born natural hunters and masters of the skies, and they can take down large prey with their talons and incinerate smaller foes with ambush tactics, making them hard to know when they strike.
They are highly aggressive and territorial to any intruders who dare to step into their territory, let it be a monster or a human, or a monster hunter. They are sighted in many kinds of environments, from the temperate forest and hills, to the extreme heat of the volcano. They are the Apex Predator of the Ancient Forest, and are known to fight the other apex predators, even an Elder Dragon.
They are large, like really large. Bipedal wyverns with a spiny armour hide covering their body. Their outer shell features a much brighter and more vibrant colors than that of their female counterparts. They are primarily bright red with black markings, throughout. They possess a flame sac which is used to produce deadly flames from their mouth.
The talons on their feet are highly poisonous and are known to inflict toxic mortal wounds on larger prey, but not for small creatures, thick tail features a heavy spiked club at the end. The wing membranes feature ornate patterns which are likely used to attract mates. In the wilds they are deadly, but taming them is not easy to maintain.
They all continue to do what they can to slow down the beast. Boomer runs as he evades the flames. "What the hell are we gonna do to take this thing down!" He then dodges another. "Shit, that was close!"
Gyro then takes cover behind of a wrecked Apocalypse Tank. "Well, from one thing I know… This is one of the toughest draconic monsters in the other world, and this thing is tough!"
The Light Fury dodges through the talons of the Rathalos and Marcy ducks and she uses a crossbow and aims for the wing and it gets stuck on the wing. "Well, I hit it. But this thing is still flying! How do we take it down! Gyro, remember how the folks from the other world fight it!"
Then a fire shot nearly hits the Tiger Tank. "Fuck! We're sitting ducks in this tank, we've turned into a Kraut cooker!" yelled Leon. He then opens the hatch and he shoots it with the MG42 LMG. Then a Banshee tries to engage, but the beast knocks it away and it crashes near Luna and she dodges it.
Gyro then recalls what the weakness is. "Alright, so we can either stun it, slow it down, put it to sleep or…. Well kill it. Who here wants to take the chance to kill the son of a bitch?!"
They all raise their hands, and then Dana and Luna make a powerful ice barrier, but the heat of the dragon is so powerful, and it's melting. "Dudes! We need to slow this bitch down, now!" said Luna. She then uses Frostmourne and she sends a hail of ice onto the dragon.
But the Rathalos rolls around in flight and knocks off all the ice shards and dive bombs in for the attack, but then Lori leaps out of nowhere and she punches it straight in the face and it lands smack onto the base, but it soon gets up and roars at her.
Lori roars as well and she charges at it and so does the Rathalos, and then Gyro sees the chance. "Now! Hit it with electricity and ice, hit it with everything we've got!" They all confirm with this and they all attack.
Luna, Dana and Lincoln hit the beast with ice, and then Sam and Victor give it a shock and the Tesla Coils send a shock attack and then Cryo Legionnaires and Cryocopters. But the Rathalos sees this and it flies off away from them, and the attacks hit Lori. "Oh shit."
Lori makes a lava barrier to defend herself, but it's too late. A massive explosion it made. "Lori!"
Lori is knocked off from the blast and she slams onto the Tiger Tank and the vehicle goes out of control. "Hold on!" It then hits the side of the War Factory. Becky goes to Lori and checks on her unconscious form.
"Lori is fine! She's just badly hurt." She then carries Lori out of the fight and tends to some of her bruises and injuries from the ice and electric attacks.
They all continue the attacks, because it's back in the air. "Well, we're gonna need a new plan" said Luna. "Gyro, how do you keep that thing pinned to be dealt with?!"
Gyro then looks to the Rathalos. "Alright, so that thing is male and is one angry mother fucker. We need to corner it, slow it down with everything we got. The weakness is ice, electricity and poison, and they can be put to sleep. Now, the weak spot is at the tail or the head, mostly the throat where the fire burns the hottest!"
"You strike the tail with something sharp and deadly, and to aim for the head is with something small and explosive enough to do some damage, but even with both hits we'd have to keep it from flying, and that means we have to clip those wings!" Gyro then sends some glowing magic flies and the Rathalos follows them. "There, mesmerized! Everyone hit it!"
Gyro tosses two large daggers into the air and they spark with electricity and Marcy flies by and grabs it. They fly close and Marcy jumps off of the Light Fury and then she goes to the left wing and she stabs it and then she slices through the skin and this makes the beast roar.
She uses her arm-mounted crossbow and she fires her grappling hook and she swings past the legs and she stabs the other wing and slices through, she then runs onto the back and runs across the tail and she jumps and lands onto the Light fury and they fly off.
Luna and Dana see the beast losing flight and so they aim at the wings and send a barrage of icicle rounds and an ice shot, and then Lincoln sends one epic frost blast and it hits the dragon on the face and it slams onto the base and they all dodge the incoming beast.
Then Neil is in his large black dragon mode and he tackles the beast and makes sure it stays down, and this causes the Rathalos to get angry and try to fight him, and now they have two dragons on the base fighting each other.
The Rathalos sends a fire blast onto Neil, but he absorbs it and he sends his own blast, and the Rathalos absorbs it and they both end up trying to burn each other at point blank range. Gyro sees the chance. "Take down the tail! Slice it off, and watch for those poisonous talons!"
Luna nods and she gets a ride from Sam as she flies by, and Sam tosses Luna into the air behind the Rathalos, and so she pulls out Frostmourne and the sword becomes enchanted with demonic power, and she slams it hard and the tail is cut clean off.
The Rathalos roars and tries to strike Luna, but she ducks as she misses the talons and she uses her sword to slice off one of the claws. Luna then climbs onto the back and she slams her sword to the back.
Then Neil grabs the face of the Rathalos and he uses his two dragon claws to hold the mouth open. "Now!"
Linka arms an explosive charge. "You gals ready?"
Carol, Gwen and Jordan are armed with explosive rounds onto their weapons. "Locked and loaded!"
They all look to the mouth of the dragon and it's ready to breath out fire, and they take a deep breath, they slow down their breathing and they let their rounds go, and at the same time the Netherdrakes and Light Fury send their attacks and into the mouth of the Rathalos.
This makes an intense explosion of fire inside of the beast's throat and it panics. Luna is knocked off and she crashes onto the platform and is knocked out. "Mom!" Lincoln races to her and so does Sam.
The dragon panics and knocks away Neil and he falls into the water, but he accidently grabs the Tiger Tank and drags them down, which means Leon and Sergei are in there. "Oh hell no!"
The Rathalos looks around, roars and panics as its insides are blowing up from the attack, and then the Light fury and Netherdrakes lay down more attacks onto the exposed veins on the neck of the Rathalos. This makes it take so much damage, and soon the rest of the defenses aim for the exposed muscle, veins and other parts.
Sam and Victor send a single lightning shot and the beast is stunned, and this gives them all the chance to send one more hit, and they all strike at each of the exposed veins and insides and this makes the Rathalos blows up and the beast goes down to its knees and then it lands smack dab onto the ground, dead!
They all take a moment to calm down, and then the rest of their forces go onto the area and check for wounded, Lincoln and Sam are tending to Luna and some of her small burns and bruises. Everyone else is badly wounded, or on fire, and most are possibly dead from the attack.
Gyro looks around and is shocked by how this went down. "Fucking shit. I knew I should've closed the portal…. Wait, how the hell did that Rathalos get here? I did close the portal behind me, it wouldn't be possible for it to… Wait, the Sky Tower in the Ancient Forest!"
Marcy lands down with her Light Fury. "What the heck are you talking about? Guardian, you have a lot to explain and one of them is the world you came from and how the heck did that thing get here." They all want answers from what has gone down.

A/N: That was intense and almost too dangerous, at least they dealt with it, but now they wanna know about this world that Gyro went to, and what of the other monsters he has met, and they are a lot, but I won't go into details of the other monsters known, but the whole thing about the sky tower might seem like something from the film about the whole thing.
