-Imperious's Fortress, about an hour later-

Imperious, Stalker, and the mystery man discussed the recent past and their analysis on it. The mystery man proved to have a careful and observant perspective of what he'd learned. Stalker sensed an ambitious intelligence to the man, he could see why his master had taken him as an acolyte. But Stalker was still taken aback by what his past. But Imperious had taken him into his army and the samurai didn't dare doubt his master's plans.

"Another world to take into your empire master...and I know you sense what I'm thinking," the mystery man finally stated.

"Indeed," Imperious simply said.

Stalker looked between the two, unsure of what they meant. Imperious saw this.

"The young lady whom my old enemy has taken in could be swayed to our side," Imperious revealed.

Stalker looked between the two men. He contemplated on this before he finally voiced his opinion.

"Master, I don't doubt your wisdom...or who you've chosen to fight for you...I just believe that this plan may not work out," Stalker stated.

"I see why you say that. If the girl were to learn what happened...it wouldn't be very much possible for her to join us," Imperious reasoned.

"Who says she would have to know?" The mystery man suggested.

"We know this...but one shouldn't underestimate one is capable of learning...or that the truth wouldn't be revealed," Imperious replied.

"I'm not underestimating anything anymore. I did that with Wraith and it cost me my freedom and future...for a time," the man said.

"Perhaps so, but the young girl was raised by my enemy...she isn't likely to join us even if she didn't learn the truth," Imperious replied.

"What if we use truths to tell a lie?" The man suggested.

"Interesting," Imperious mused.

"Perhaps twist how the destruction of our home was not what she had been told and there was another survivor. She believes she's the last of her people, but to meet another would cause changes to her perspective and beliefs," the man elaborated.

"And if that were the case, seeing survivors of a near extinct race fighting for his majesty more peoples and worlds would willingly join in the empire," Stalker added.

"Precisely," the man said, a satisfied grin on his face.

"And if guiding her to a new perspective works, she could aid in our enemy's defeat. She knows their home, that knowledge would be invaluable," Imperious added.

"She would be the lynch pin," the man chuckled.

Imperious smiled.

"I missed that mind of yours, Vulpine," Imperious said.

"Thank you, my lord," Vulpine replied, bowing.

He then stood up.

"If you'll allow me, my lord, I would like to get some rest...being trapped...I never rested...it was agony all the time," Vulpine stated.

"Of course," Imperious replied.

Vulpine bowed to his master one more time then left, shooting Stalker a confident grin. A few minutes after he'd left, Stalker was still silent.

"What is it, Stalker?" Imperious asked, sensing the samurai was lost in thought.

Stalker turned to his lord.

"I see why you chose him as a follower, master...but...I feel something dangerous about him," Stalker answered.

"He's a brilliant strategist, he's very dangerous," Imperious replied.

"I know...I mean...what he's done...from how you've described it and myself observing him...he seems to have his own agenda with what he's doing...not just serving you and your vision, my lord," Stalker elaborated.

Imperious didn't reply, he just rubbed his chin...contemplating.

"And schemers sometimes have their plans fall apart, including for those they serve or work with...I feel it may cause a considerable blow to us should his plans fail," Stalker concluded.

Imperious remained silent. He listened to every word and went over his warrior's perspective. He didn't say anything, but this was something he would keep in mind.

AN: I'm sorry for the short chapter length, but the first two chapters of this reboot are the only chapters of the reboot that untouched. Next chapter is where the reboot fully starts to take effect.
