"You being a Tsundere aside-" "I'm not a Tsundere!" "- let's catch up! You haven't told me anything since that incident at USJ! How's your highschool life?"
Letting out a tired sigh, Aki sipped the cup of tea in his hand and answered. "It's been well. No detention, no expulsion warnings, no threat-"
"Aki-chan, you know I don't care about all that." Tomoe showed a soothing smile.
"I'm... having fun." After a moment of keeping quiet, Aki spoke up with a smile. "Everyone, even the sister class and the upperclassmen, is nice and kind. They actually care about my well-being, put up with my early anxiety. Our homeroom teacher, Kan-sensei, cares about us. Hell, he even trusted me enough to assign me as the class vice-president. Kendo-san, the president, she's like a big sister to all of us. Even though she said she doesn't like it, I caught her smiling when we called her that sometimes."
"I'm glad then." Tomoe nodded her head in approval, before showing a mischievous grin. "This 'Kendou-san', is she perhaps special to you~?"
"Special?" Aki's eyes rolled up in thought. "I... guess? She always motivates and cheers me up, and I can always rely on her in situ-"
"I meant, could you, maybe, pining for her?" Tomoe's question brought an eerie silence in the air, before Aki's denial flew in.
"Pinin- No!" Aki waved his hands in panic. "I- I mean, she's really pretty..."
Tomoe nodded.
"She's probably the coolest girl I've ever met..."
Tomoe nodded, with a phone in her hand.
"Even though she said she's insecure about her motorcycle hobby, that it made her seems un-girly, I think that's not true! I believe she's as girly as she is cool! The way she truly cares for others, her kindness, her-"
Aki finally noticed Tomoe kept on nodding with a proud smile on her face.
"Anyways!" He raised his voice with a red face. "I'm not pining for Itsuka!"
"Already move to first name basis now, aren't we?" Tomoe teased. "Okay then, say you aren't pining for 'Itsuka', I don't believe she is the only girl in your class, no?"
Contrary to Tomoe's expectation, which involved Aki continuous denial like just then, Aki looked away, avoiding the question this time.
"... What don't I know?" Tomoe's smile widened.
"... Nothing." Aki said, still looking away.
"Mochizuki Aki, I've been raising you since you were 6. You know you can't lie to me." Her golden eyes flared up. "What. Don't. I. Know?"
"... I'm in a relationship."
"Ho?"
"... With two of my classmates."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Oh look, it's dinner time!" Aki slowly moved towards the door. "Imma go cook somethi-"
"I'm ordering sushi for today." She pointed at the chair, which Aki sat down with a doom expression. "You work on the details. I expect you to not miss out on anything."
A few hours later, Luna was jolted awake from a woman's crying. The black cat blinked a few times before moving to a quieter spot and continued her beauty's sleep.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."
Mina let out a lengthy, relaxing sigh as she melted into the beanbag after the group shower, earning some giggles around the room. After the exam, Momo suggested the girls from both classes come to her house for a girl's night out. Needless to say, everyone immediately jumped on-board with the idea; even Tsuyu, who rarely hung out after school due to her duty as the eldest sister. They even scored 1-A's blushing mess, Midoriya Izumi. It did cause some trouble when Momo's butler saw a boy amidst a group of all girls, but the misunderstanding was quickly cleared up. Though, at this point, almost everyone already knew that Izumi was a girl.
Almost.
"So, Midori." Mina called out to her friend. "When are you telling him?"
The freckles greenette, who was re-wrapping her bandages after the shower, tilted her head at Mina's question. Everyone in the room also looked at Mina with slight curiosity. Even Yui sat up from her comfortable spot: Itsuka's abs; to listen into the conversation.
"Your 'Akkun', of course~!" Mina grinned.
Instantly, Izumi's face turned into a heavy shade of pink that even matches Mina's skin. She managed to stutter some incomprehensible words as she wrapped her arm with inhuman speed. This went on for 5 minutes before Ochako had to squeeze Izumi's cheeks for her to stop wrapping herself into a mummy.
"Mina, quit teasing the poor girl." Momo gently scolded Mina.
"Yaoyorozu-san is correct. We shouldn't pry if Midoriya-san is uncomfortable. Besides-" Ibara looked over to Yui and Setsuna. "I do not believe it is a good idea to discuss it right now."
Sensing the worry in Ibara's voice, Setsuna looked over to Yui, who only replied with a firm nod.
"We're cool with it." Setsuna shrugged. "I mean, it's not like our relationship is a secret anymore."
"How did that even happen, though!?" Mina sprang up from the beanbag, eyeing excitedly at Setsuna.
"Now that, is a trade secret, dear Mina." Setsuna smugly put her hands on her hips, jokingly flaunting her body. "But I can tell you, even Mochi-kun couldn't decline this piece of ar-"
"She confessed to Aki-kun in tears from almost being rejected, so I took pity on her." Yui casually shrugged.
"YO!" Setsuna screamed, with a bright red face, at Yui, who buried her face into the pillow she was holding. "I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!"
"Mm?"
"Why you-!"
Setsuna jumped towards Yui. The Size user used her Quirk to embiggen the pillow and threw it at Setsuna before hiding behind Itsuka. Their antics made everyone chuckle at the cheerful atmosphere. The chase only lasted before Itsuka got tired of being a human shield and handed Yui over to Setsuna, ignoring the blank expression that somehow looked like betrayal on her friend's face.
"In the light of changing topics, let us all come together for a game." Reiko spoke up, gaining the attention of everybody. "Would everyone be interested in playing Truth or Dare?"
"Yes! Yes!" Pony excitedly jumped up and down. "I love that game! Have play it not since I come here!"
"We mush have some punishment to come with." Kinoko suggested. "Otherwise, it would be sporing!"
Kinoko ignored Reiko's groaning.
"I'll bring us some snacks and drinks!" Momo brightened up as she whipped out her phone and texted someone. In a matter of seconds, the girls heard gentle knocks on Momo's door. The onyx hair heiress opened the door, slightly nodded her head at someone before bringing in a plate full of different variety of snacks and drinks along with condiments.
Everyone, except for Momo, blinked a few times before shrugging the bizarro of the situation off.
"Should we tell her that whatever trick she just pulled isn't normal?" Toru whispered to Kyouka, who put a finger to her lips, silently telling Toru to keep quiet.
"Allow me to commence this challenge." Reiko raised her hand, before pointing it at Yui. "Truth or Dare, Yui-san?"
Yui put her finger on her cheek, kept silent for a few seconds before deciding. "Dare."
"Made someone call you without telling them to call you."
Yui blinked a few times before she took out her phone, use her free hand to pull on her shirt. Everyone watched closely as the flash from her phone captured the inside of Yui's shirt before the quiet girl did something on her phone then set it in the middle of the room.
It only took a few seconds before Yui's phone rang off. She accepted the call and put it on speaker.
"Y- Yui! Wha- Why did you send me-?" The girls heard a familiar voice through the phone.
"Mm."
"That's not an answer- Tomoe-san, stop crying- I'll call you back later, Yui."
"Mm?"
"Yeah, that's my aunt's sobbing noises in the background. Call you back later."
They could hear Aki's tired sigh as he hung up the phone. There was an awkward silence in the room before Mina decided to break it.
"... It seems Mochizuki won't be sleeping tonight."
"Not sleeping? I don't get it." Momo tilted her head.
"Me neither." Ibara nodded after Momo.
"Well, you see, when a boy-" Just as Setsuna was about to corrupt the two purest souls of both classes, Itsuka swiftly chopped her neck off, while Mina got her cheeks pulled by Kyouka.
Nodded satisfactory at her classmate's fulfillment of the challenge, Reiko signaled Yui to continue the game. Without hesitation, she pointed her finger at Kinoko. The mushroom lover showed a happy smile before she excitedly chose. "Truth!"
"Do you have any fetishes?"
"YUI!" Itsuka raised her voice with a red face. The girl just held her hand in front of Itsuka's face, telling her to wait.
"If I have to choose..." Kinoko crossed her hands, looking over to the side and thinking. "Then I guess my biggest fetish is roleplaying."
"R- Roleplay?" Ochako gulped, not noticing many others were also having the same action as she did as they listened.
"Now, now, question time is over~." Kinoko teased, making everyone display a bright red face, albeit for different reasons. To move on, Kinoko pointed her finger at Tsuyu, who answered 'Truth' without a change in her expression.
"Who would you-" Kinoko took a quick look around. "-like to kiss in this room?"
Before anyone could show any form of reaction, Tsuyu answered. "Izumi-chan and Ochako-chan."
The two names that were called could feel their faces sizzling from the heat of embarrassment.
"Mind telling us why?" Toru smiled, watching her two shy friends flinch from the question.
"They are closest to me." Tsuyu shrugged. "Besides, they're both cute."
Mina's whistle in agreement almost made Izumi fainted, while Tsuyu had to pull Ochako down from the ceiling. Decided to continue the game before Izumi couldn't be woken up anymore, Tsuyu chose the green, blushing mess. "Izumi-chan, Truth or Dare?"
"Tr- Truth."
"Have you ever masturbated to anyone in our classes?" Tsuyu blankly stated.
"Goddamn, Tsu-chan!" Mina's eyes widened in surprise. "Are you trying to kill her?"
Even Ibara didn't have the strength nor sanity to remind Mina about her use of language.
"M- M- M- M- M- M- M- M- M- M- M- M- M-" Was the only thing that came out of Izumi's mouth.
"Wow, she really does sound like a broken record." Itsuka whispered to no one.
"Midoriya-san, you don't have to answer if you don't feel... comfortable enough to." Momo assured her, although her face was almost matching the color of Izumi's.
To everyone's surprise, Izumi covered her face with a pillow, before slowly nodding her head, making everyone gasp. Even Shoko's eyes widened at the revelation.
"Who dares!" Toru dramatically said. "Who dares corrupt our cinnamon roll's pure thought in such scandalous way!?"
"Even a cinnamon roll like you still enjoys youth to the fullest, huh~?" Setsuna grinned, making Izumi buried her face deeper into pillow. Trying to shift the attention away from her, Izumi aimlessly pointed at someone; and her finger landed on a set of floating pajamas, who wiggled in excitement and chose 'Dare!'.
Izumi pondered for a moment before slightly removing the pillow away from her face. "Cou- Could you show us a picture you love? I- It could be anything. As long as you love it."
"Aw, you cute little thing." Toru laughed before pulling out her phone. "Gimme a minute... Here! This is the picture I love most!"
Everyone inched closer to Toru showing a picture on her phone proudly. It was an old picture, judging on its quality, of a young Toru (it was a set of floating children's clothes with a pair of gloves) posing a peace sign next to another person. The other person in the picture was wearing a dark-blue hoodie covering most of his face, but it was still visible enough to see him smiling. Same as Toru, he was showing a peace sign with his right hands, kneeling to match young Toru's height. If they had to take a guess, the man in the picture was roughly around their ages currently.
The whole group was cooing at the sight of young Toru and the wholesome atmosphere they felt in the picture.
"Toru! You never mention having a brother! Or being this cute!" Mina exclaimed.
"I'm always cute!" Toru playfully pouted. "But I'm an only child."
"Is he a relative? Your cousin, perhaps?"
"I... actually don't know who he is..." Toru scratched her head, earning the curious look of her friends. "This was the first and last time I met him; I was 6 years old at the time. This picture and his last name are the only thing I knew about him."
Seeing everyone's quietness as a request, Toru continued. "Back then, due to my... invisibility, I got teased a lot by the kids at my kindergarten; it made my parents become very over-protective of me. They didn't let me go to the park because they were afraid of me getting bullied, or worse. But you know me, I was a hyper ball of energy! I snuck out of the house one afternoon and played by myself at a nearby park. But I didn't know there was a Villain's attack nearby."
Toru could feel everyone getting tensed up, but she continued anyway. "The Villain was running from someone and when he crossed the park, he saw me. I remembered the Villain was screaming something before rushing towards me, but Sumi-nii- oh right, his name was Tsutsumi- and another girl tackled and knocked him out."
"I'm sorry you had to go through such a fearful experience, Hagakure-san."
"Nuh-uh! That was the coolest thing ever!" Toru waved her hand. "Anyway, the lady who was there took the Villain away, and that's when Sumi-nii approached me. He made sure I was okay and offered to walk with me home, but young me wouldn't let him."
.
.
.
'What's your name, hero-nii-chan?' Toru jumped up and down in excitement.
'... Tsutsumi.' ? scratched his head before mysteriously answering.
'Tsu- Tsu- Sumi-nii!'
'... Sumi-nii works.' ? smiled fondly
.
.
.
"I made him stay and play together with me until I got tired, then I let him walk me home." Toru chuckled at the memory. "Well, more like I fell asleep from the tiredness and got piggy-backed by him around the area until he found my house. When we reach my house, I begged my mom to take a picture of us before he left."
.
.
.
'Promise you're going to play with me again?' Even though they couldn't see it, Toru's shaking voice made them feel their hearts break a little.
'... Maybe not soon.' ? mumbled, making Toru choked up. Before the little girl broke down crying, ? kneeled, patted her on the head and promised. 'But I promise we'll see each other again. Maybe at the park?'
'... Promise?'
'Pinky promise.' He smiled, before nodding goodbye to Toru's mom. Just as he was about to leave, he could feel Toru tugging on his sleeve.
'Mom, can I get a picture with Sumi-nii, please? Please?' She looked over to ? 'Please?'
'My daughter seems to really like you, Tsutsumi-san.' Toru's mom patted her daughter's head, looking at ? with a camera in her hand. 'If it's not too much, can you?'
'... Of course.'
.
.
.
"That is... the single cutest thing I've ever heard!" Kinoko squealed.
"Right!?" Toru nodded(?) "Now that you mention it, I think Sumi-nii was my first crush."
"Oh?"
.
.
.
'You're going to be a great hero, Toru-chan.' ? smiled.
'You really think so?' Toru looked up(?) "Everyone said my Quirk is so lame, though. A- And creepy, too!'
'I know someone who would come up with a thousand ways on how your Quirk works.' He patted her head. 'Believe me, Toru-chan. You, are going to be a great Hero.'
.
.
.
"He's why I wanted to become a Hero; why I'm not conscious of my Quirk anymore. And it didn't matter how hard I tried to hide, he always found me." Although they couldn't see, the girls could feel Toru longing smile.
.
.
.
'Young lady, I don't know who taught you this, but a girl should not strip down in front of anyone unless it's a life and death situation!' ? reprimanded her while covering his eyes from the sight even though there wasn't anything to look at.
'But you always found me! No one was able to before!' Toru pouted.
'That's not the point- Toru, climb down!' ? called out to her, hand still covering his eyes.
.
.
.
"You said he was fighting a Villain, right?" Izumi pointed out. "Have you ever tried looking him up? He could be a small-time Hero, a Sidekick or even a Vigilante! Maybe you could investigate the woman he was with. Maybe she would know his whereabouts. It might be a little difficult if they were Vigilantes, but if we have a clue of who they possibly might be, we could work from there and connect the clues. We could even look into the Villain they arrested-"
"Midori." Toru snapped her fingers, waking Izumi from her mumble storm. "I promise you, anything you could think of, I've already tried."
Just as the girls thought Toru would need some hugs, the invisible girl spoke up. "But no point dwelling on that! We promised each other! I'm sure I'm going to see him soon. Maybe he'll take his kids to the park, and I can become aunt Toru!"
"I'm hugging you anyway, so get ready for that." Mina declared. "But now, let's get this show moving!"
Toru nodded, used one hand to close her eyes and the other to point randomly.
"It seems my time has come." Reiko accepted her fate. "I shall take the challenge of committing what it is that you see fit, Hagakure-san."
"I dare you to say something that would make everyone here went crazy!"
"Hmmm..." Reiko pondered on the dare for a moment before brightening up with an unusually eerie smirk on her lips that no one has ever seen.
"I slept with Aki-kun once."
There was a silence, before they heard Izumi fainted and fell face-planted onto the floor. But before anything happened, Reiko confirmed. "We were just sleeping. Nothing happened. This was before he went out with Setsuna-san. I am only interested in girls, anyway."
But then, she directed a smug grin towards Yui and Setsuna. "He didn't tell you because I asked him not to, but I suppose I am advancing ahead of you two."
This made Setsuna return with a challenging smile, while Yui looked scarily determined.
"Let us move on." Reiko covered her eyes and pointed at Kyouka. "Jirou-san, do you wish for Truth or Dare?"
"... What the hell, it's not like this day could get any crazier." Kyouka shrugged. "Dare."
"I wonder." Reiko smiled. "Serenade us a song, if you do not mind."
"... Is it too late to change back to Truth?"
Kyouka's question went unanswered as everyone cheered for her to sing. Seeing there was no choice, Kyouka gulped the whole cup of soda, trying to slap the embarrassment out of her face before closing her eyes and letting her musical talent be free.
Opening her eyes after she had finished, Kyouka got a little anxious as no one said anything; but before she could speak up, all the girls clapped and cheered loudly.
"Kyouka-san! You never mentioned you could sing so beautifully!" Momo applauded with clear amazement.
"S- Stop it, Yaomomo! It's not that good…." Kyouka turned away, hiding her burning red face.
"It was the best singing I've ever heard!" Momo disagreed. "I've been to many concerts before, Kyouka-san. This, is the best singing I've ever witnessed!"
Shoko had to reel Momo in before she murdered Kyouka with compliments. Trying to regain her cool, Kyouka pointed her finger at Itsuka. "Truth or Dare?"
Contemplating for a quick second, Itsuka decided to avoid any yabai things that might happen. "Truth."
She flicked Yui's cheek after she heard the quiet girl mumble 'Coward'.
"Among the boys in our classes, who do you think would make a great boyfriend?"
"Hmm." Itsuka cupped her chins in her hand. "I haven't interacted with the boys in your class much, so I can't comment on any of them... but the grape guy is a definite 'out'."
"Urghh." Mina groaned. "Fuck Mineta! Why haven't Aizawa-sensei expelled him yet!?"
"Probably because he's got some 'potential'." Ochako mocked with an air quote.
"Potential to get shot at by my cannon, more like." Momo grumbled with clear disgust in her eyes, an action which all the girls agreed with.
"All of the guys in my class are respectful. Worst thing ever happened was Tsuburaba made some dirty jokes." Setsuna chimed in. "But it was just stupid boys' jokes anyway, so we didn't pay much attention to it."
"Anyway, if I have to pick from my class... I guess Mochizuki-kun would be the best choice." Kendou nodded her head, satisfied with her own answer.
"Hear, hear!" Setsuna raised her drink up while Yui flashed Itsuka a thumbs up. None of them noticed Ibara, Izumi and Ochako nodded proudly at one corner.
"We are barely in our first year and you guys are already in a relationship!" Toru giggled. "Mochizuki-kun must have some games!"
"Honey, believe me when I said his only 'games' was simply being the goofball he is." Setsuna waved her off. "Yui here was the one who confessed to him. Otherwise, it would still be the 'hopelessly pining' period for me."
"Honestly, that was a genuine surprise." Itsuka looked over to Yui. "This one had a whole fan club back in middle school, and now she confessed to a guy she knew for barely over 2 months."
"Mm?"
"Sounds like you're just jealous that you weren't the one confessing first!" Mina grinned.
"N- No!" Itsuka panicked and pointed her finger at Mina. "Truth or Dare?"
"Unlike you scaredy cats, I have no fear!" Mina challenged. "Dare!"
"Kiss someone in this room, then!" Itsuka confidently announced, believing that even 1-A most energetic gremlin wouldn't dare to kiss someone in front of so many people.
Contrary to her confidence, Mina looked around. "Anyone here comfortable with kissing me?"
A show of hands consisted of Shoko, Kyouka, Yui, Setsuna, Itsuka, Reiko, Kinoko and Setsuna was seen.
"I'm not against the idea of kissing a girl." Momo spoke up, making Kyouka show a bright expression. "But I want my first kiss to be special."
A chorus of agreement was heard among those who didn't raise their hands.
"No shame here, besties!" Mina waved their concerns off before walking over to Reiko, planted a quick kiss on her lips before looking back to Itsuka.
"Told you I ain't afraid." She showed a victorious smile at which Itsuka raised her hands up, admitting defeat. Satisfied with her victory, Mina turned to Reiko. "How's that for ya?"
"Quite decent." Reiko commented.
"'Quite decent'!?" Mina pretended to look offense. "Guess I'll have to up my games before to show you what's up, Ghosty!"
Reiko only shrugged, which in turn only made Mina look more determined before she pointed at Momo. "Truth or Dare!?"
"Truth."
"Tell us what's your ideal date, Yaomomo! What is considered a 'perfect date' to the heiress of the Yaoyorozu?"
Momo went deep in thought for a moment before speaking up. "I suppose a 'perfect date' for me would be us reading together. Just the idea of sitting comfortably with each other in silence, enjoying our books and the other's presence..."
"... I don't know whether to decide if that's too cute or too scary..." Mina deadpanned. "But I love you, Yaomomo! Nerdy or not!"
Momo only returned Mina with an 'I love you, too', not noticing Kyouka swiftly scribbled down the information. Momo looked around the circle before pointing her finger at the heterochromia girl. "Todoroki-san, Truth or Dare?"
"Dare."
"Could you show us your best 'Ikemen' impression?" A request at which Mina and Setsuna cheered loudly.
"'Ikemen impression'? I don't understand." Shoko tilted her head. Momo had trouble coming up with an explanation for a moment before Mina gave Shoko her phone, showing an example video. Shoko viewed and studied the phone for a while before giving it back to Mina.
She then walked over to Izumi, kneeling down on one knee and lifting Izumi's chin up with her hand. Her expression turned serious, yet she showed a seductive smile.
"Would you do me the honor of making Soba for me for the rest of my life, beautiful?"
Watching Izumi immediately fainted after 'beautiful', Kinoko excited raised her hand, screaming 'Me next, me next!'. The lady killer heterochromia only ended her murder streak after she had finished seducing all interested parties with pickup lines she picked up from the internet. She then pointed at Pony. "Truth or Dare?"
"Truth!"
"Have you ever put someone in the hospital with your horns?"
"I have..." Pony embarrassingly scratched her head. "Was when I first got me Quirk. I accident launched these horns straight at father. He was admitted with two cracked ribs! Mama was laughing her ass off."
"F- Forgive me if it offends you, Tsunotori-san." Izumi whipped her notebook and pen out of nowhere. "But isn't your Quirk mutation? How are they launching? You mentioned 'these horns', does that mean you can launch both at the same time? Can you launch them one at a time? Can you control where they went after launching them? Can they grow back? Can you launch multiples? Can you-"
"YOU CAN SPEAK ENGLISH!? FLUENTLY!?" Pony interrupted the greenette in the middle of her mutter storm.
"N- Not fluently." Izumi stuttered. "I only learned it to watch All MIght's overseas interviews that weren't translated. I wouldn't say I'm at y- yours or Mic-sensei's level..."
"Girl, stop humbling yourself! You are good!" Pony slapped her on the back. "Anyone who says otherwise is going to meet these horns!"
"Yeah, I've seen Pony in action before." Setsuna pointed out. "She can kill a hoe."
"I can."
While Momo was translating the conversation to a struggling Mina and Ochako, Pony did an 'eenie, minie, mo' on the remaining participants and landed her finger on Setsuna. "Truth or Dare!"
"I'll make this interesting. Dare!"
"Do something to make Prez chops your head."
Setsuna thought over it for a moment before crawling over and whispering something to the redhead. Everyone there witnessed Itsuka's calm stoic face turned slightly pale before going redder and redder until it reached the point where Momo had half a mind to create a cooling patch. After Setsuna busted out laughing, she quickly floated her head away to avoid the demonic rage of Kendou Itsuka but was caught anyway, earning herself a chop on her floated neck.
"Aw, c'mon, Prez!" Setsuna groaned in pain, rubbing her neck. "You didn't have to go that hard!"
"I should have gone harder!" Itsuka glared at her friend.
"Listen if you still want that pic- You know what, I'm going to send it to you anyway." Setsuna quickly pulled out her phone and did something with it while still glanced warily at Itsuka's raised hand. Only until a 'Ping!' was heard on her phone did Itsuka put her hand away.
"Mm?" Yui looked at Setsuna.
"Yeah, that pic. Girl, that was the goooood stuff~!" Setsuna nodded her head, before looking over at Ochako and Ibara. "Miss Gravity! Truth, or Dare?"
"Truth. Y'all requests are too crazy for me." Ochako sweatdropped, letting her accent out.
"I heard you're Mochi-kun's neighbor." Setsuna pointed out.
"How did you-"
"Girl, please. The boy is too honest for his own good." Setsuna interrupted her, to which Yui nodded in agreement. "We're cool, just letting you know that we are. What I want to ask, is, are you and greenie there in a relationship?" Setsuna pointed at Izumi.
This made the two turn redder than a Christmas Light but made the rest lean towards them with interest.
"N- NO! WE AREN'T" Ochako denied the claim while Izumi nodded so much that Itsuka was afraid her head was going to fall off, like Setsuna. "WHY- WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT WE ARE!?"
"Chako, you've been sticking to Midori since we started school." Mina explained. "I mean, we got a little suspicious back then 'cause we thought Midori was a boy but ever since she told us the truth, you've been sticking to her like, WAY closer! Like, too close! You were like a maiden in love!"
"W- Well, Deku-chan is my best friend!" Ochako crossed her arms, declared proudly.
"Coulda sworn there were something going on between you two." Setsuna clicked her tongue. "Guess Mochi-kun and us are the only ones who are in a relationship."
"Yeah, yeah. Stop bragging already." Itsuka rolled her eyes. "I'm more curious about how you call her 'Deku-chan'. Why the nickname?"
"Oh, that? I heard Bakugou called her 'Deku' during our Quirk assessment, so I thought it was her name.". Ochako explained. "I thought it sounded cool, like 'Dekiru'! So, I kept calling her Deku-chan."
"Umm!" Izumi nodded with the brightest smile anyone has ever seen. "It is my Hero's name, too. The Izumi who could do it!"
"Bakugou called you 'Deku' too, right? I don't wanna be rude but considering who we're talking about, I doubt that he means it as anything nice..."
"R- Right, Kacchan..." Izumi looked down. "You know, because at first, he knew me as Izuku, so Kacchan named me based on that when we were young... he means it as 'Dekinaii Izuku'... Useless Izuku..."
There was an uncomfortable silence in the room before Mina broke it with one stern declaration.
"I'm going to kill him, next time we meet. Yaomomo?"
"I don't condone murder. But if you need somewhere to hide the body-"
"G- Guys!" Izumi called out.
"I shoulda gone rougher on that mothafucker during the Sport Festival!" Ochako cracked her knuckles.
"Uraraka-chan!"
"Yep! If that boom-boom bitch sees me, he is dead!" Pony announced.
"Tsunotori-san, please!"
"... So that's why Mochizuki-kun looked so satisfied after that match. He knows, doesn't he?" Itsuka mindless mumble gained everyone's attention.
Izumi quietly nodded. "When I told him, he reacted... worse than you. A- Almost went and kicked down Kacchan's door. I practically had to beg him not to."
"Well, whatever happened, Midoriya-chan, you have us now." Itsuka went over and pulled Izumi into a hug. "Whoever does anything to you ever again will have to go through my dead body."
"Ours." Ochako went in too, before the rest of them jumped into the huge hugging pile.
They stayed inside the pile for a few minutes, before letting go, giving Izumi's space to wipe her own tears before Ochako turned towards Ibara to lighten up the mood. "Shiozaki! Truth or Dare?"
"Oh my, after that... emotional moment, I don't believe I am up for any challenge right now." Ibara smiled softly at Izumi. "I shall have to go with Truth."
"Your Vines can be cut off, correct?" Ochako asked and Ibara nodded. "I know the regrow but how's the process?"
"My Vines are practically plants that grow as my hair." She showed her hair to Ochako and Izumi, letting them touch it. "If a vine is cut off, I will have to trim off the root and let it grow back. It is a fairly easy process. I just have to keep my head in water overnight."
"That's so convenient! Have you tried-!"
Before Izumi went into her mumble storm again, Momo cut in.
"Leave the question for the morning, Mido- Izumi-chan." Hearing the use of her first name, Izumi smiled brightly. "I believe all of us have had a tiring day and frankly, it has already passed my usual bedtime. How about we set up the futons and rest for the night?"
Everyone looked at each other before nodding in agreement with Momo.
"What's this?" Aki studied the flyer that was thrown at his face.
"That, is where you're taking your girlfriends before leaving for I-Island." Tomoe commanded. "Just remember to drop by here. I wanna meet the girls who stole my nephew's heart!"
"... We'll see about that." Aki rolled his eyes.
"Can't sleep too, huh, Midori?"
Izumi turned his head towards the voice and found Toru laying opposite from her head. They were close enough to hear each other whisper to keep the others from waking up. Even Reiko, the one who usually stays awake, was fast asleep thanks to the tiring day she had. Next to Izumi was a snoring Ochako hugging her arm like a pillow, while Toru was in the same situation, thanks to Mina.
"Y- Yeah... I've been thinking."
"About what?"
"T- To get surrounded by so many good people, like you guys! I just... I haven't been this happy before- I- I am really blessed...!"
"... I would hug you right now, but I can't tear Mina off, so you better be preparing for next morning, you wholesome, sunshine cinnamon roll!"
Izumi only replied with a small giggle, before asking. "Why are you still up then. Hagakure-san?"
"The Truth or Dare game got me thinking about the whole... you know, Sumi-nii situation." Toru hummed. "I just can't help but wonder how is he after all this time. Is he happy? Why didn't he come? Or say goodbye, at the very least..."
"... I meant what I said earlier this evening, Hagakure-san. I- We can help look into it."
"And I appreciate it, Izumi-chan. I really do." Toru smiled(?). "But no news means good news, right? I'm sure one day, I'll finally be able to get an upgrade from piggy-back to princess carry."
A/N: What is this!? Is it a slice of life chapter? Is it a plot chapter? What is going on?
Truthfully, I haven't a goddamn clue!
I thought I would get straight away into the I-Island Arc, but like I want to squeeze the Toru's arc before the Summer Camp so...
Also, relationship thing at next chapter. You know, Setsuna x Yui x Aki thing.
I'm also doing intermission chapters. You know, to clarify on something I don't think I can put into the story, like the whole sleeping situation Reiko and Aki had.
No spoiler (because there's literally nothing to spoil), but there's a fun relationship update kind of thing.
+1 Also, Tsutsumi is Lady Nagant's last name. Tsutsumi Kaina. Ponder on that shit.
Relationship Status, a.k.a what the casts think of Mochizuki Aki (there's plot here, yes):
Class 1-A: 1-B's Vice Rep. Strong but a little shy when approached for the first few times. Has a unique Quirk that they still think is bullshit.
Class 1-B: A reliable friend. Shy at first but has already comfortable enough around them. There's a small bet going on for how long until he's successfully trapped their Big Sis with his rizz.
UA's staff: Smart, serious students. Respectful towards the elderly and his senpai; kind towards the people of his age.
Aizawa – Eraserhead: Intern, student. Competent, smart, brave. Can be reckless. Tolerable. Won't adopt despite his husband telling him to.
Hizashi – Present Mic: Husband's intern, student. Respectful, funny, might adopt soon with his guardian's permission.
Kan – Vlad King: Homeroom's student, part of his 20 children of 1-B. Reliable, a little (suicidal) reckless. He's been considering schedule a session with Hound Dog. Appears happy and relaxed most of the time but he caught him with this... solemn look on his face sometimes.
Nezu – Principal: Mysteriously favors him. Treats him like an old friend despite them only recently met when Aki started UA (to Aki's knowledge).
Yagi – All Might: Student. He has a soft spot for the boy after he read his file. Also (secretly) supports his successor pining for the boy.
Neito – Phantom Thief: Best friend. Has a good impression on Aki after their encounter at the Entrance Exam. Neito was surprised that Aki didn't think his Quirk was weird. Wants to try out Resurrection, but both of them agreed that the risk is too high since almost nothing is known about the Quirk. Neito doesn't know this, but Pony always goes to Aki for advice regarding Neito
Reiko – Emily: Best friend (better than the one above, she claims). Shares her hobby. Didn't think her preferred method of speaking was strange, nor creepy. Treats her with respect and kindness, but still closely enough so she doesn't feel uncomfortable. Would have fallen head over heels for him in another timeline. Slept together once. Like, actually sleeping. As in eyes closed, hands held, dreamt about weird shit. Purely platonic.
Yui - Rule: Boyfriend. Paid more attention to Aki after the USJ, fell in love after the Sport Festival, and tried to bed him for a while. Haven't worked. Yet. Still waiting for Itsuka to join. She won't admit it, but she has used words when she is with him more than she had her whole life.
Setsuna – Lizardy: Boyfriend. His shy behavior at first made her want to tease him, but the Indoor Battle made her pay attention to him. Watching his head crushed at the USJ traumatized her enough to never want to let him go. Him slowly (unknowingly) flirting back made her fall for him before the Sport Festival settled the deal.
Ibara – Vine: Someone she bears feelings for. Met Aki during the Entrance Exam. He was her first friend in UA. Her self-confidence decimated after Aki got killed saving her at the USJ, but it was also him that brought it back up. She acknowledges her feelings quite recently. But the idea of the one she loves having other partners is still a concept she isn't comfortable with. Yet. Thus, she still buries her feelings aside until the day she is finally ready.
Itsuka – Battle Fist: Confidant. She met him on their first day at UA. His shyness made her feel like she needed to be there for him, but through time, Aki becomes the one she looks to whenever she needs help. He handles paperwork for her while she covers most of the face-to-face meetings. In fight, although the man himself doesn't realize it, Itsuka and class 1-B always look to him as a support pillar. Most importantly, while everyone else looked to Itsuka as the manly Big Sis, she once heard Aki admit that Itsuka was pretty, cool and feminine, something Itsuka never heard before.
Kinoko – Shemage: A trusted friend. When she first entered UA, Kinoko was conscious of her Quirk since everyone she knew always referred to it as 'scary', so she didn't use it much. Even after a month in, she knew that 1-B would probably be cool with her Quirk, but something deep inside still yells at her that she should keep her usage to the minimum or only to herself. But one day, her Quirk went out of control while Aki and Reiko were around. She almost went into a panic attack, fearing their reactions but the two of them only laughed. Genuine, happy laugh. They even used their mushroom-covered appearances to scare anyone they found. After that, Kinoko became more confident and outgoing, and she always floated to Aki and Reiko.
Izumi – Deku: Old friend/ Crush. They met during middle school, in a... not so idea circumstance. But after that, they became friends. But Aki always thought that he made a male friend, and Izumi was too scared to reveal the truth despite Inko's assurance. When Aki found out about Bakugou, Izumi had to physically hold Aki back from tearing her childhood friend's head off. She avoided Aki after her encounter with All Might, afraid of him thinking her a liar. Izumi was touched when Aki didn't think of her differently for her Quirkless status, her notebook and her muttering. She slowly looked at him more, in a way even she couldn't understand. The feelings only became clear to her thanks to her mother's mischievous grin.
Ochako – Uravity: Neighbour. Aki picked her up when she fainted at their apartment's staircase. After settling on a deal, they have an absolutely-not-husband-wife relationship. They trained and studied with each other every night; Aki taught her maneuver abilities while she taught him Gunhead's Martial Art. Aki helped her with homework anytime she needed help.
Hatsume Mei: Childhood Friend/ Private Support. First met in kindergarten. They became closer to each other while everyone else avoided them. They promised each other to become the Hero-Supporter duo when they grew up, a promise that both still strive to make a reality. Mei's physical contact is the only one Aki isn't shy away or afraid of. Mei never let anyone touch her hair except for Aki.
Mochizuki Tomoe: Aunt. She adopted Aki after the boy became an orphan at 6. Aki always lies that he doesn't remember his parents, but Tomoe knows he missed them every day. She tried to be there for him, but the nature of her... job doesn't allow her to be home much. That's why she really appreciated the Hatsume and Sekiro for taking care of her nephew. She still tells the story of that one-time Aki called her mom.
Rumi – Miruko: Unknown. Like Nezu, she looked at Aki like an old friend she hadn't seen in a long time. Her first year at UA was the best but also the worst year of her life. Both she and Ryuko met and lost a friend that year.
Ryuko – Ryukyu: Unknown. Like Nezu, she looked at Aki like an old friend she hadn't seen in a long time. She became friends with Rumi and another person during her first year at UA. The death of said friend affected her and Rumi greatly. Rumi managed to put up a strong front, but Ryuko couldn't. This year's Sport Festival marked the first time she came to her friend's grave after 9 years. She and Rumi agreed that they wouldn't tell any of their friends, especially Kaina, about Aki until they became clear of the current situation. Nezu refused to share what he knew with them.
