AN: I'm sorry in advance for the short chapter length, but I wanted this chapter to be short sweet and to the point. But there is a big reveal in this chapter that I hope makes up for the short chapter length. Unto the show.
-Unknown Location: A Few Hours Later-
"Now that we pulled him from the void, we should go after him." a male voice could be heard as soon as the wolfs hearing returned to him upon regaining consciousness.
"We will go after him. But not yet, it's to soon–" a female voice was interrupted by the first voice scoffing.
"'To soon,' it's been over 15 damn years, fifteen long years. How much longer do you expect us to wait? If we wait any longer we might miss our opportunity to strike." the first voice said in a firm and convicted tone.
"We've waited this long, we can wait a little longer, for time is truly on our side." the female voice reassured the male voice. Her response was once again a scoff.
"I truly want to believe that, but my patience is starting to run thin. Every day we wait, is also a day we give the enemy time to plan, and to possibly counter attack–" this time he was interrupted by a hiss.
"You think I'm not aware of that?!" the female voice asked in a rare insulted tone. "I as well want revenge, but we must be patient, otherwise we will fail, and then we will truly be extinct..." the female voice let that hang in the air, and the seemed to silence the male voice, for he didn't seem to have a counter argument. Seconds seemed to pass like hours before she decided to clear the tension. "I'll check his vitals while he's still unconscious." she informed the first voice as the wolf now felt soft hands now checking his pulse.
"Who are you?" the wolf asked weakly, which earned a surprised gasp from both who where in attendance. "I'll ask again, who are you?" the wolf asked weakly as he tried to sit up from his reclined position, only to find his core muscles weak beyond his comprehension.
"Easy Metatron, your strength hasn't fully returned yet from your imprisonment, it'll take a few days to a week before your feeling 100 percent." the female voice reassured the wolf in a calm tone.
"You still haven't answered my question, and how do you know my name?" the wolf asked in the same weak tone.
"Does he have amnesia?" the male voice asked the aloud?
"Doubtful, most who have amnesia don't even remember their names, at least as far as I know... could be wrong admittedly." the female voice said in an embarrassed tone before speaking again. "We could never forget your name Meta, for you saved our lives, mine in particular." the female voice said in a grateful tone.
"Not just yours, but mine as well." the male voice said in his own grateful tone. In response the wolf snapped his eyes open and saw two faces looking down at him. The man on the left had silverfish quills for hair with yellow eyes. The woman on the right had lilac hair and golden eyes. Both looked down at him, and despite looking older than the last time he had seen them, he still recognized his former students, and that made the wolf smile weakly.
"Cassandra, Jacob." the wolf said in a happy tone, and that made his former students smile.
"Hey Meta. It's been a long time." Jacob said softly as he helped Metatron into an upright position.
"How long was I in that void?" Metatron asked weakly.
"Over 15 years." Cassie answered, which earned a shocked look from her former teacher. "Rest for now Meta. After you've rested for a awhile, we've got a lot to discuss, and to catch you up on..." Cassie said grimly...
