Chapter II
Three hours three fucking hours that's how long Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura have been waiting for their wayward squad leader. Even Iruka had left to go to a meeting, leaving the trio alone in the classroom. Sasuke was annoyed at both their squad leader and the pinkette holding her arm begging her for a date. Naruto was trying no to laugh at his best friend. He really did feel for Sasuke but the scene was just priceless.
"Naruto shut up or I will kill you." Sasuke demanded.
"Sorry Sasuke but I can't help it." Naruto said with a laugh.
"Naruto, leave Sasuke-kun alone. He shouldn't have to put up with your low status. You're not even from a clan." Sasuke said.
"Actually Sakura, I am from a clan. Or did you forget that the Uzumaki clan existed." Naruto rebutled.
"The Uzumaki are extinct and they have nothing special about them." Sakura said.
"And I suppose Sasuke's Uchiha clan being down to just him and his brother make him oh so much better?" Naruto asked.
"Everyone knows the Uchiha were one of the founding clans of Konoha and they have the Sharingan." Sakura said as if her word was law.
"Sakura, did you forget that our first Hokage married an Uzumaki by the name of Uzumaki Mito. Besides, the Uzumaki were famed for their sealing prowess." Naruto said giving Sakura a makeshift history lesson.
"Whatever Naruto just because you have the clan name doesn't make you better than Sasuke no one even knows if you're actually part of the clan or not. Maybe the Hokage felt sorry for you and gave you the name." Sakura said in annoyance.
"Sakura shut up." Sasuke said, defending her friend.
"What it's true. Naruto doesn't have any family and no one knows who his parents are. Hokage-sama could have given Naruto the clan name to make him feel like he had a family." Sakura said.
"Whether that's the case or not, what you just said was low. You have no right to say such things about Naruto. He may not be from a noble clan of Konoha but he is still my friend and whether he is blood tied to the Uzumaki clan or not just him having their name makes him better than a common villager or non-clan member." Sasuke explained.
Sakura sulked and clung to Sasuke.
"How about we ditch Naruto and go on a date Sasuke-kun?" Sakura asked.
"No." was all Sasuke said.
Naruto sighed and looked out the class window at the Hokage Monument looking at the Yondaime's head.
"Why me Minato-sama?" Naruto asked under his breath.
Sasuke saw the look on Naruto's face and frowned. She knew the look, it was a look of longing Naruto had shown that look many times.
As if on cue the door opened and in walked a tall man with white gravity defying hair walked in while reading a book with an orange cover.
"You're late!" Sakura yelled.
"Hm? Oh a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long way around." the man said.
Naruto knew the voice from when they had met in the forest where Naruto fought Mizuki.
"Kakashi?" Naruto asked.
"Oh Naruto, you're on my team, how interesting." Kakashi spoke as if he was surprised.
Naruto's eye began to twitch in annoyance. "You planned this, didn't you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." Kakashi said in mock innocence. "Let's move to the roof shall we?"
Five minutes later Kakashi and Team Seven were on the roof with Kakashi leaning on a rail with the three genin of Team Seven sitting on a bench on the roof.
"Now then let's get to it shall we. How bout you three introduce yourselves. Tell me your likes, dislikes, dreams for the future, and Hobbies." Kakashi spoke to his new charges.
"Why don't you go first to show us how it's done?" Sakura asked.
Naruto facepalmed at Sakura's stupidity. She was the smartest girl in their class and she had to be shown how to introduce herself?
"Me? Okay my name is Hatake Kakashi. As for my likes and dislikes, I don't feel like telling you. Dreams for the future? Never really thought about it. And hobbies, I have lots of hobbies." Kkashi said giving them just his name really.
Naruto's eye began to twitch again.
"Pinkie you first." Kakashi said.
"My name is Haruno Sakura. I what I like is well actually its more of a who I like…" Sakura said as she looked at Sasuke. "My hobbies are…" Another look at Sasuke. "And my dream for the future… another look at Sasuke this time with a squeal.
"Anything you dislike?" Kakashi asked.
"Naruto." was all Sakura said.
"Naruto, how about you next?" Kakashi asked.
"My name is Uzumaki Naruto. Like Iruka-sensei, ramen especially from Ichiraku, my friends, and my plants." Naruto said. "My dream for the future is to earn the respect of the villagers and become Hokage. As far as my hobbies go, I like doing my garden and working on seals."
"Broody you're last."
"My name is Uchiha Sasuke. I don't like anything in particular…" Sasuke started.
"Tomatoes." Naruto coughed.
"...I dislike a great many things. I don't have a dream for the future because I will make what I desire a reality. I will kill a certain man and revive my clan." Sasuke finished.
Sakura instantly thought that Sasuke was seeking true love and instantly thought she would be the one to win Sasuke's cold heart.
"Oh and one more thing I'm a girl." Sasuke added. "While it was useful in the academy to keep this a secret I think I can finally stop pretending and be my real self."
"Sasuke is a girl?" Sakura asked herself. "But she looks so much like a boy. She has even smaller breasts than me. She can't be a girl can she?"
Naruto saw the look on Sakura's face and smirked; he knew Sakura's world was crashing down around her.
Sasuke made a single hand sign. "Kai."
Instantly Sasuke's lithe form was replaced by a slightly shorter for with moderately sized breasts and slightly longer hair.
"Much better." Sasuke said with a softer higher pitched voice.
"Bout time Sasuke-chan." Naruto said. "I always hated your male form."
"The ruse was useful to me but now it has lost its usefulness." Sasuke said.
Sakura was staring at Sasuke with tears in her eyes unshed but Sakura couldn't believe her childhood crush had been a lie.
"But how? Why?" Sakura asked herself.
"So the medical files weren't a lie, you really are a girl." Kakashi said seemingly not surprised.
"The only lie was my male form. The Hokage and Academy staff knew the truth and the medical staff in the hospital also knew. I only pretended to be a boy in the academy so I wouldn't have to deal with boys asking me out trying to get into my pants." Sasuke explained. "Oh and Naruto knew the truth he had known from the beginning."
"Shikamaru probably knows as well he's too smart to not know. I mean come on you had no interest in girls, never went to the bathroom during the academy, nor did you use the public bath house. So he probably either figured out you were either a girl or you were gay. But if you were gay then you would be hitting on boys but since you never hit on other boys that meant you were a girl." Naruto explained.
"True. And Shikamaru knew not to say anything because he wasn't the gossip type." Sasuke said.
"Alright you three I think we can move on from Sasuke's gender and move on to the next topic. You see you aren't genin yet. You see, out of the twenty-seven graduates not all of you will pass the real genin test." Kakashi explained.
"Real test, what real test?" Sakura asked.
"You see each Jonin Squad Leader will assign their squad a test if the squad passes the test then they remain genin if they fail then that squad either gets sent back to the academy or they wash out of the program completely." Kakashi explained. "Tomorrow I want you all to meet me at Training Ground Three. I advise you to skip breakfast otherwise you will just puke."
With that kakashi vanished in a swirl of leaves disappearing completely.
Naruto stood up and stretched. "Puke or not I would still eat breakfast, it's fuel for your body. Not to mention if he is as late tomorrow as he was today then our bodies will have had time to process the food and begin converting it into fuel. Ja ne"
