AN: Man the team and I are on a roll, we are just on fire. Thank you everyone so much for all your support. You all are the best.

"So let me make sure I'm understanding this correctly." Metatron began in a slow tone as he tried to carefully word his next few sentences. "I was trapped in that void for over 15 years?" Metatron asked Cassie and Jacob in a shocked tone.

"Sadly, yes." Jacob answered with a grim tone.

"I thought it felt like an eternity, now I know why." Metatron muttered under his breath in a hate filled hiss as the memories of what he had experienced in the void kept flashing inside his mind. "That place was a living torment, every damn day was agony. I was forced tor relive memories from over 15 years ago. Memories of the home we lost, the people who where slaughtered, even you two, Cassie, Jacob." Metatron hissed angrily as he tried to purge his mind of the memories that kept floating to the surface.

"I can't begin to imagine what you went through." Cassie said in a sympathetic one as she placed a hand on her former teaches right shoulder, which caused Metatron to raise his head and look her in the eyes.

"Hard to believe the last time I saw you where just barely 15 Cassie... both of you as a matter of a fact. Now look at you both." Metatron said with a weak laugh.

"Over 15 years will do that to you." Jacob said with a sly smile. "To be more precise, over 15 years moving from location to location will do that to you." Jacob said as the sly smile was replaced with a serious expression.

"I was afraid you both had been killed, but seeing you both again, despite the agony I went through in those 15 years, make it worth it just to be with you both again." Metatron said as he very shakily rose to his feet for the first time and embraced them both in a hug before sitting back down again.

"We almost where killed, myself in particular." Cassie said grimly, and Metatron knew what she was talking about.

"Vulpine!" Metatron howled in anger as despite his weakened state, his hands balled into fists. "I will rip out his throat with my fangs, his and Wraith's both–" Metatron was interrupted by Jacob clearing his throat.

"You're a little late to the punch with Wraith." Jacob said simply, and that earned a shocked look from their former teacher.

"Wraith is dead?" Metatron asked quickly.

"He was killed a few weeks ago." Jacob answered quickly.

"Not that I care how the son of a bitch was killed, but for my own curiosity, how was he killed?" Metatron asked with a smile upon his face as the mere thought of the death of the one who had imprisoned him for over 15 years satisfied him greatly. Normally he would have said a prayer for his soul, but not in Wraith's case.

"He was impaled, and then reduced to nothing more than a pile of purple ashes." Cassie answered in her own satisfied tone, a sentiment echoed by the smile on Jacob and Metatron's face.

"Finally got what was coming to him to say the least, but there is more to the story." Jacob began as the smile was again replaced by a serious expression. "While Wraith almost quite literally bit the dust, Vulpine still lives–"

"I had a feeling." Metatron said with a sad sigh. "The cunning fox always found a way to get out of trouble in the end–"

"Not this time though." Jacob interrupted with a fierce tone. With you rescued, we can hunt down the traitor, and kill him." Jacob said as he pounded his right hand into his left fist.

"Jacob, we must be patient about this." Cassie began in a cautious tone. "If we confront the traitor without thinking through a strategy, it could cost us our lives. I want him dead as much as you do." Cassie paused to look down for a few seconds at a golden locket that was hidden underneath her shirt collar before composing herself and continuing. "But we don't know what we're getting ourselves into. Yes we found Meta and pulled him out the void, and yes it's three of us against one of him. But at the same time, Vulpine has the backing of Imperious, and I can only dread at what that Emperor has done in the last 15 years." Cassie hissed angrily.

"But we..." Jacob began before pausing to consider Cassie's words more carefully. And after a few moments of silent contemplation he had reached a conclusion. "Your right Cassie. As much as I want revenge, I don't want to get killed doing it." Jacob admitted.

"You both have grown so wise." Metatron spoke up in an approving tone, which earned smiles from Cassie and Jacob. "We'll all have our revenge on Vulpine, it might not be today, but it will happen." Metatron said wisely.

"Precisely." Cassie affirmed her former teachers words. "I know the years have not been kind to any of us, you in particular Meta. But if we are to succeed, we cannot throw caution to the wind. Other than Vulpine, we might just be the last three of our kind. And going extinct is not high on my to do list." Cassie said firmly, which earned agreeing head nods from her former teacher and best friend.

"What do we do for now, Cassie?" Jacob asked his best friend.

"It's not up to me anymore." Cassie answered honestly, and that shocked Jacob. "We'll make decisions as a group, but if we have a tie, Metatron, you'll decide, wont you?" Cassie asked in a hopeful tone. Metatron's simple response was to nod his head silently.
