-Unknown Location, The Next Day-

"I can definitely tell me strength is returning. Slowly, but it is returning." Metatron said as he finished a set of 20 pushups before sitting on the floor in a meditative position in order to catch his breath and rest for a few minutes before doing another set of 20.

"We told you it would take a week or so judging from our past experiences." Jacob said as he and Cassie had just finished supervising their former teachers workout.

"I must admit Jacob, he's recovering a lot quicker than we did, and we spent a long time in the void. Traversing worlds and entire dimensions and such." Cassie said in a tone that indicated she was very impressed with how quickly Metatron was recovering.

"I'll let you both in on a secret." Metatron said as he sat in his resting position. "My hatred for Vulpine, and lust for revenge is powering me forward. The 15 years the bastard stole from me is nothing... nothing compared to the slaughter he induced upon our people, our home, family and world." Metatron said angrily as he continued to sit there and reminisce about the past. "I wish I still had my battle sword. I would use it to carve out his tiny cold blooded heart." Metatron said as he couldn't help but get overjoyed at the thought of killing the butcher of his world, be it just for a few seconds before he composed himself.

"Get in line Meta." Cassie said firmly. "I'll burn the flesh off his bones with my flames, then use my claws to rip out his heart, one cut at a time." Cassie said as he looked at her claws and couldn't help but feel the same rage that her mentor was feeling.

"Leave some for me, both of you." Jacob said as he clinched a fist. "Actually, I'll compromise with you both. Meta you can rip out his throat with your teeth while Cassie claws out his beating heart–"

"And what does that leave for you?" Cassie asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"I'll crush his bones to power with my telekinesis." Jacob said as a silver aura formed around him and he levitated himself a few inches off the ground.

"Wait a second. Last time I saw you, you could barely move objects a few feet away from you without it exhausting you, or losing focus. So how do you plan to crush Vulpine' bones with your telekinesis?" Meta asked as he as well raised an eyebrow. Jacob let out a soft laugh before answering.

"In the over 15 years we've been on the run, I've had to use my powers plenty of times. The amount of times I've used them has given me ample practice time. Cassie as well has gotten stronger and more control over her powers in those years." Jacob informed his mentor with a proud smile, a sentiment echoed by Cassie, and one that earned a head nod from Meta.

"We all know what we have to do, but my question is: how do we find Vulpine? He could be in any world or dimension, and it would take months if not years of hopping between them to find the correct one." Meta said in a tone that he didn't know how they could accomplish their goal. But to his surprise, Cassie's face lit up at that question.

"Had a feeling you'd ask that question." Cassie said as she left the room and a minute or so later she returned with a small sack that appeared to be busting to the brim with contents. "But luckily, I have the answer to your question." Cassie said with a smile as she reached her hand into the sack, and a few seconds later pulled out a small scroll, and it was one that Meta didn't recognize.

"What am I looking at?" Meta asked as he eyed the scroll in Cassie's right hand.

"Very long story short, this is the answer to your question. And it's our way to find out what world Vulpine is currently on." Cassie answered as she placed the scroll on the ground and opened it up, and after muttering a few words under her breath, the name 'Vulpine' appeared in red text, and a blue and green planet formed around the name.

"What artifact is this?" Meta asked in a slightly amazed tone.

"For lack of a better word, it's a map. A map that will lead us to Vulpine, and to our revenge, or as I call it... justice." Cassie answered again as a small smile formed on her face. "With this map, Jacob and I will access the void, go to this planet, and bring Vulpine to you–"

"No." Meta said firmly. "I'm going with you both. There is no chance I'm letting you both confront him alone, we don't know how much stronger he's gotten in those years I was trapped. We'll take him down, all three of us together." Meta said firmly.

"Meta, I've never questioned you before, but are you sure you want to go back to the void to find Vulpine? You where trapped in that realm, and going back might induce–"

"I know Jacob.' Meta quickly interrupted his former student. "I am nervous about going back through that void, but I as well must confront Vulpine. And I wouldn't be able to rest not knowing if you two where safe. Like Cassie said, we act as a group, and that's what we'll do here. For our people." Meta said firmly.

"For our home." Jacob said firmly.

"For our family." Cassie said in a convicted tone.

"For our world." all three of them said as the same time.
