-Imperious' Throne Room, The next Day-
"I presume your student preformed well?" Imperious quizzed his apprentice as soon as he had entered into the throne room and bowed before his emperor.
'He gets better and better with every training session. It's entirely possible that in time he will rival even I in combat." Stalker said in an approving, yet unsure tone, and Imperious already knew what that meant.
"Do you doubt your place by my side as my apprentice?" Imperious asked in a rare gentle tone.
"Forgive me, master. It's just that Wraith was... cast aside for a better general–"
"I see." Imperious began smoothly as he paused to take a breath. "You are my first, and only apprentice Stalker. Wraith might have been a lead general with bold ambitions. But that's all he ever was going to be. Wraith had the potential to be my greatest warrior, and for a while he was third in command, under you of course." Imperious assured the alien samurai. "But Wraith possessed to many flaws to be anything but a general. Yes he was cunning, and yes he was a fierce warrior to boot. But, he lacked focus, and his tendency to slaughter at mass proportions cost my empire to many crucial battles. Wraith had to be cast aside for a better general, but I give you my word Stalker, you will never be cast aside." Imperious reaffirmed his apprentice.
"I am honored." Stalker said as he bowed his head in respect for his master.
-Meanwhile, Secret Warriors HQ-
"I appreciate the help D, since this could take days or even a week or two on my own" Riri thanked Doreen as the two could be found trying to literally put the pieces back together for Riri's armor.
"Would it really take that long?" Doreen asked in a slightly surprised tone.
"It took me awhile to build both the original armor, and the model were trying to repair right now. Doesn't help that Zayla shattered and destroyed a lot of key components." Riri muttered angrily as she put down the wrench she had been holding, and instead picked up a small welding tool. "Might want to step aside for a few minutes, don't want to set your tail on fire." Riri joked with the squirrel tailed heroine.
"Believe me, I really don't want that to happen again." Doreen joked right back, as she couldn't help but remember how Dante had burned part of her tail the first time she and Kamala had met him. After stepping aside, Riri pulled down her welding mask, lit the welder and began trying to weld parts of the armor back together. This went on for a few minutes until Doreen raised her hand in the air to get Riri's attention. "I'm going to go to the rec room and get a soda, you want one?" Doreen asked politely.
"I'll take two." Riri answered just as politely. "It might serve me better to wait until America returns in the next few days. Being a mechanic and all she knows her way around a set of tools. Put simply, two mechanics might be able to repair the armor faster." Riri said in a tone that indicated she was not happy at how damaged her suit was.
"You might not be able to fight for a little bit, but think of it as a mini-vacation. Plus you can help as the guy... I mean girl in the chair." Doreen joked, which earned a sly smile from Riri. "I'll take three sodas now." Riri said with that still sly smile.
"Coming right up." Doreen said in her best waitress impersonation as she quickly made her way out of the room they had been working in, and headed down towards the rec room.
Upon walking down the hall, she decided to stop and ask Vixen if she as well wanted a drink, since she was passing the guest room on the way to the rec room. "Hey Vixen you want a soda or lemonade?" Doreen asked through the shut guest room door. After a few seconds of silence, she thought that Vixen might have not heard her through the shut door. So without even thinking she opened the door and poked her head in. "Vixen you want a... oh..." Doreen's face immediately went to a state of blush as she quickly removed her head from the open doorway and proceeded to quickly begin walking away, trying to mentally bleach her mind and eyeballs from what she had just inadvertently witnessed.
"Wait up Doreen!" Vixens voice called out to her as Doreen started to walk away, which made Doreen freeze in her tracks. Upon turning around she saw Vixen and Vulpine both exit out of Vixen's room, both having really embarrassed looks on their faces. "Vulpine would you mind giving us a moment?" Vixen asked Vulpine, who proceeded to nod silently and make his way towards his own room. Once Vulpine was out of earshot, Vixen turned all of her attention towards Doreen. "Please don't tell Daisy." Vixen asked in an almost pleading tone.
"Um..." Doreen said in a dumb tone as she wasn't sure how to respond.
"Please?!" Vixen asked again in pleading tone, with her yellow eyes looking like a sad puppy dog.
"I'll only tell if Daisy asks me directly. I just hope you know what your doing." Doreen answered in a serious tone as she turned back towards the rec room. Vixen gave a satisfied grin and sigh and started to follow after Doreen. "I wouldn't follow me out to the rec room." Doreen said upon hearing Vixen's footsteps behind her. Vixen stopped walking as a sly smile formed on Doreen's face that Vixen couldn't see. "Since your shirt is on inside out, and it really doesn't leave much to the imagination in that state." Doreen joked, which caused Vixen to scamper back to her room to fix her shirt, leaving Doreen to ponder what she had just accidentally witnessed.
