Not far from the Jupiter station, on planet Mars two mothers were also worried for their daughters. Admiral Kathryn Janeway, and B'Elanna Torres. They were sitting under the safe roof of a huge auditorium.

"I always scared to death, when Miral enters this contest" B'Elanna sighed.

"Me too" the admiral sighed too. "But what can we do? Our daughters chose such a risky sport."

"There weren't any death in the last decade" stepped Tom Paris to the women, and gave them drinks.

"But it is always a risky thing riding the Hurricane" protested the old woman, and sip from her drink.

"If it is not risky, not exciting either" laughed Tom. "Moreover, I have a feeling, that our daughters will be the winners this time!"

"There are strong opponents this time! So they will have hard time."

Four man arrived with popcorns, and more drinks. Well, two of them were man, but two of them were only boys.

"Who allowed you to buy popcorn?" Kathryn asked strictly from her sons.

"It was my present to them" smiled the younger man to the angry mother.

"Peter, don't pamper them!" she asked, but nodded to the boys. She wouldn't confiscate the popcorns.

"We will travel after the contest, so let's pamper them a bit!" Chakotay smiled to his wife.

"Yes, you are right" she sighed. "It won't be an easy ride at all! Back to the Delta quadrant..."

"And we could commemorate Amelia's winning!" said one of the boys with full mouth.

Kathryn opened her mouth, to educate her son, not speak with full mouth, but at that very moment the race started. It was interesting, as the hurricane formed, and the riders jumped into the wind on their surfboards. There was a certain squeeze around her hearth, as she was watching her daughter's performance.

The contestants were sailing on the outer surface of the hurricane, to climb upward. A few of them switched to the inner surface, where only the cameras followed them. The announcer constantly told them the state of the competitors. The sequence was changing constantly. A few of the competitors fell out, which was followed by great mourning, and crying among the audience. But Amelia Janeway, and Miral Paris were running head to head, and climbed upwards. The two girls were working together to deceive their opponents, but they couldn't reach the top yet. The boys were crying their names, as they could hear their encouragement. They could feel something from the excitement of their families, because the two girls swapped to the inner side, which was a faster way, but the more dangerous.

As they were climbing upwards most of the opponents lagged behind them. Only the few of them stayed, and they fought to keep their place. But the two girls were childhood friends, so they could work together to eliminate them. After falling out of the third opponent, suddenly a lone contestant flew over their heads, and she was able to stabilize her place. The two girls couldn't reach her. She tricked them, and avoided their every trap. She bravely swapped sides, when needed, the flow in her movements was not beatable. The three of them became the fastest, but basically Miral and Amelia were chasing the unknown opponent angrily. That anger caused their losing.

The unknown third one won the race.

"Zimt?" The adults red the winner's name in surprise.

"Do you know her?" Peter asked in surprise.

"It was in the old times" Tom Paris smiled.

"We were made an excursion with the girls, when they were little. Around two years old" Chakotay started.

"But somebody had no luck, and a shuttle exploded above us."

"A shuttle? Where there any survivor?" Peter asked, but he had already knew the story. It wasn't a secret how their classmate was found.

"None. Only the little girl in a rescue cabin."

"She was so little, that she couldn't even speak properly" B'Elanna smiled. "When we asked her, she could only say Zimt."

"We couldn't even find any trace of the shuttle, it was totally burned in the atmosphere."

"A spaceship nearby examined her, and found her relatives" Admiral Janeway added. "I still remember, when we delivered her to the Jupiter station!"

"Dr. Zimmerman was quite irritated, when we gave her to his arms!" All the adults were laughing.

"Lieutenant Barclay was also not in the best mood, as Zimt were running around in their lab!" B'Elanna joined to the laughter.

"Fortunately, our Doctor was also there, and he accepted the little girl" Chakotay explained to Peter.

"I am amazed, that they didn't give her a normal name" Kathryn shook her head in disbelief.

"What do you expect from three guys?" B'Elanna asked. "It's a miracle that she didn't starve to death in such a long time!"

"That Doctor has already raised a child" Chakotay added. "Although Seven was not a real child..."

Silence fell to the little companion. They all remembered Seven of Nine, and all knew how they lost her. Her memory was strongly carved into their hearts.

"Let's congratulate for the winner!" Peter offered them, although he didn't understand their sadness. Borgs were forbidden to be close to Earth, and he find it reasonable. Not just he, all of the young generation agreed with this decision. Being Borg was disgusting to them. Not just their violent assimilation technique, but their influence of the development of the humanity.

Borgs were assimilating information faster, than the human researchers, and made the researches faster, than the Starfleet could examined their results. And those results were often dangerous ethically. And the Borgs didn't counted ethical reasons in their work. So they were rejected after a few fiasco, and they were expelled to the borders of the human space.

All of them were under strong observation, and when one of them tried to having a family, he or she was executed. The Starfleet couldn't allow them to take over anywhere. They could live their life, but it was the only thing, they were allowed.
