The screen lit up once again cycling through the names. After a few seconds the names stopped displaying Haruno Sakura and Yamanaka Ino. Naruto saw this and facepalmed.

"Great, a battle of the fangirls." Naruto said under his breath to quiet for anyone to hear him.

Meanwhile while Sakura and Ino were fighting Sasuke and Kakashi were in a private room away from everyone. Sasuke was sitting on the floor with her shirt off wearing just her bra and shorts with a blush on her face she wasn't used to being exposed to anyone.

"Sasuke I'm going to put a seal on you that should keep this curse seal at bay. However the seal only works if you feed it if you use the curse seal of your own will then the failsafe won't work." Kakashi explained.

"I understand sensei." Sasuke said.

Kakashi and Sasuke returned to the viewing area just after the match ended and both Ino and Sakura were being carried off the field.

"So who won?" Kakashi asked.

"No one. Double Knockout."Kiba replied.

"No surprise there, neither of them trained properly because of a crush they have on Sasuke." Naruto said.

"Don't be too hard on them Naruto." Sasuke said with a slight smirk on her lips.

The screen lit up once again and names were cycled through at high speed.

"Come on let it be me." came Rock Lee's voice from beside Naruto.

"Why so excited Lee?" Naruto asked.

"I must be next so I can shine brightly for Gai-sensei and show that even a deadlast student can still be a true shinobi." Lee replied.

Just then the names stopped.

"Seems like you got your wish Lee. Shame it had to be against me though." Naruto said.

"On the contrary Naruto I am rather glad it is you who I am fighting. I have wanted to see your skills for myself." Lee said, smiling brightly.

As the two were about to take leave to go to the arena Naruto was stopped by Kakashi.

"Naruto be careful. Lee is skilled in Taijutsu so keep your distance." Kakashi said.

"Sensei I am also quite skilled in taijutsu but I also have Ninjutsu. My only weakness is Genjutsu." Naruto said.

With that Naruto went down into the arena.

Down in the arena Lee was waiting with the proctor.

"Are both parties ready?" asked Hayate.

"Hai." both Naruto and Lee said.

"Begin." Hayate said firmly.

Naruto and Lee each rushed each other and met in the center of the arena. Each matching the other hit for hit.

"You are pretty good Naruto, you have mastered the Juken well, you are as good as Neji." Lee said. "However, that will not save you."

Just as Lee said that Naruto went to deliver a kick at Lee's head only for Lee to duck under and sweep Naruto's legs out from under him then Kick Naruto into the air..

Kakashi saw this and recognized what was happening.

"Gai, did you teach Lee the Hachimon?" Kakashi asked.

"I did. Lee can't perform Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. To make up for his weaknesses I gave him an edge." Gai replied.

"How many gates?" asked Kakashi.

"Five." answered Gai.

Up in the air Lee had wrapped Naruto tightly in the bandages that were normally around Lee's forearms. During the descent Lee began to spin at a high speed. As the two descended, Lee knew that this attack would seriously hurt Naruto if Naruto didn't have a counter. However just before the two hit the ground it looked like Lee broke Naruto's neck however the image quickly turned into a log.

"I see you truly are a genius Naruto." Lee said.

Up in the waiting area Sasuke saw this and smirked.

"You're within range of my divination Lee." Naruto said.

Lee knew the term and gulped this was going to hurt.

"Jukenho: Lingchi." Naruto said calmly.

Up in the viewing area Neji smirked, this was the first time he was going to see Naruto's Lingchi in action.

Down in the arena Naruto began his deadly dance, his tanto making cuts in Lee's body and clothes. Once finished with all sixty four cuts Lee dropped to one knee.

"You truly are a great opponent Naruto but I think it's time I stopped playing." Lee said.

"Go on Lee take them off!" Gai shouted.

Lee Jumped up onto a stone statue and took off his leg warmers and dropped them. The orange leg warmers plummeted to the ground and made small craters in the ground.

"I am sorry Naruto but now I am serious." Lee said.

In a flash of green Lee was back in the arena kicking Naruto from what appeared to be all sides. Naruto was trying to keep up with Lee's movements but they were simply too fast for the blonde to track.

Sasuke frowned; she was using her sharingan to map Lee's movements but she knew Naruto didn't possess the sharingan and was limited in his speed.

"Don't count Naruto out yet Sasuke." came Kakashi's voice from beside the raven.

Back down in the arena it looked like Naruto was getting hit from all sides and being overwhelmed by Lee.

Deep in Naruto's subconscious lay a giant fox watching it's hosts struggles, it let out a snort.

'Foolish boy.' the fox thought.

Naruto was trying to follow Lee's movements to no avail when suddenly Naruto's vision bled red his eyes turned red with slit pupils and three tomoe surrounded his pupil. Suddenly Naruto could see Lee's movements as a sinister chakra enveloped Naruto.

Up in the viewing area Sasuke frowned; she knew about the Kyubi but she never thought Naruto would willingly use it's chakra.

Lee prepared to end the fight with a final roundhouse but his leg was caught by Naruto who looked at him with fox-like features glaring at him. Naruto grabbed Lee's collar while still holding his leg and spun the boy before throwing him into the wall with a loud sounding crack. Before Lee could recover Naruto was on him delivering a series of blows rendering Lee unconscious.

However after Lee was rendered unconscious Naruto didn't stop. The young blonde raised his clawed hand to deliver a fatal blow to Lee when suddenly Kakashi was holding Naruto's wrist and a chakra suppression seal on Naruto's forehead.

"Hayate, declare Lee the winner of this fight." Kakashi said as the Kyubi's chakra was suppressed and Naruto fell unconscious.

"Winner by default Rock Lee." Hayate said.

Kakashi took Naruto to the medical bay in the arena while Sasuke was left in the viewing area with a frown on her lips. Sasuke rushed after Kakashi to join him in the med bay and check on her best friend.

A/N: Hey all Azrael here I know I made a twist by having Naruto lose his fight but it just felt right this is the first time Naruto uses the Kyubi Cloak and it almost killed Lee had Kakashi not intervened. It also means Naruto won't get plot armor and special treatment just because he's the main character of the story. Anyway hop you all enjoyed this chapter so until next time…
