AN: Story's Shadow and I present another chapter for Foxes Of War. Hope ya'll enjoy.

Vixen, Vulpine, and the warriors continued their search. Vulpine led the way, his nose followed SG's scent. Vixen had been studying with him on tracking as her father hadn't trained her, at least not like this. She was picking up the lessons, it was just for SG's sake the more experienced Vulpine was the head of the search.

The others literally followed Vulpine's nose, surprised at using such a tactic. SG was working on her own tracking skills, they however used more 'practical' methods as they liked to call it. Though Daisy noticed Vulpine was a bit...well, she wasn't sure what it was. Normally she could read people well, given her training. The issue was Vulpine not being human. As a fox, she realized he was more cunning than your average human.

But she could feel something was more than it appeared, for now though, she remained quiet. Squirrel Girl was their top priority.

After a couple of hours, Vulpine's nose leads them to an abandoned building. The street had a couple of closed down buildings. Though people still walked down the street and there was a community center close by.

Dante's eyes narrowed.

"She's in there?"

Vulpine nodded.

"Then let's go in there and-"

"Cool it, hot shot."

Daisy put a hand on his shoulder.

"You can't seriously suggest we-?!"

"Shhh!"

Daisy put a finger to her lips. Dante grumbled, crossing his arms.

"Whoever has her, may have her in an abandoned building but look around. There are civilians here. We can't risk a fight with them involved. You know SG wouldn't want that. Besides, it's better we get her out without them knowing."

Iron Heart's face plate retracted.

"What are you suggesting?"

"We go back to base and plan a raid or rather rescue. We can take her kidnappers out after she's safe."

Ms Marvel sighed.

"We don't know what they're capable of either. Squirrel Girl's tough...not to mention kinda an unpredictable fighter. If they took her down, they shouldn't be underestimated."

Quake nodded.

"Exactly. So better we get her back, ask her about what they can do, and then bring them in."

Dante sighed.

"Right, right...sorry."

Quake put a hand on his shoulder.

"Tensions are running high. Our friend's been kidnaped, we're all angry. We just need to stay focused."

Inferno nodded.

Quake turned to the group.

"Ok, back to base. We can plan there."

The others nodded. While most of the group started to walk off, Vulpine remained where he was. His eyes narrowed on the building and was there a few moments before following the group.

-Secret Warriors' Base, Several Minutes Later-

The group walked in. To their surprise, America Chavez welcomed them.

"Hey gang."

A few of the group rushed over and hugged her. They exchanged greetings before America's eyes fell on Vulpine.

"Who's the new guy?"

The group sighed and filled them in on everything that had happened since she left on the mission with Captain Marvel. After this they all stood or sat around the base's computer. Quake pulled up the schematics to the neighborhood and specifically the building where their friend was being held.

Ms. Marvel looked over the area, rubbing her chin.

"The community center is close by, we may have to send them an anonymous message to keep the street clear."

Quake sighed.

"A good idea, though it may tip off the kidnappers."

Inferno grumbled under his breath, fingers tapping against his face. America looked over the area and her gaze turned to the building next to the one Doreen was in.

"That building, the garage next to where she's at...looks like there's a sewer grate close by. We could sneak in through there and sneak her out. The sewers are accessible and maybe if a few of our group acted as a distraction we could get her out through there."

Quake nodded at this.

"We'll need to set up a convincing act. Maybe this should be in civilian clothes, as to not draw too big of a crowd."

Vulpine rubbed his chin.

"If the sewers here really smell as bad as they do, you may want to find a way to mask the smell. Sneaking through a sewer will give off a strong smell."

America Chavez chuckled.

"Clever boy."

Quake rubbed her chin.

"It would cover a base that may possibly expose us."

Iron Heart chuckled.

"My armor can help with that. It's got a few new modifications, after some our fights keeping he clean and fresh is always good. I can fix up something to help with everyone else."

Inferno chuckled.

"It's making me consider a suit of armor."

Vixen turned to Quake.

"I think we have the basics for a plan. We should strategize now."

Quake nodded.

"Here's what we do."

To Be Continued...
