The aftermath of what happened, time to mourn and rebuild some damages, and say farewell to a good dragon who got caught into the crossfire and sent to death, but at least a new life came to make things a little bit more brighter, and the guardian needs to sort out how to maintain and track any portals from the Infinite Corridor and ensure that this doesn't happen ever again. Chapter 829: The loss of a Dragon.
(November 12. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
Right now, the town is repaired and a lot of folks are still saddened by the loss of some good folks the other day, though this is not as worse as the whole ordeal when they faced Chandler doing damage with the soul of Sargeras, and they're glad those five wretched monsters known as Wendigo are gone.
Mayor Davis and Sienna Khan will both make the grand announcement about the whole outcome and also mourn for those who have been lost, and the Guardian's explanation on how they got here, and what may have caused these monsters to become different.
FutureTech had explained the weaknesses of these savage beasts, and they don't know why they managed to change and adapt to staying around when the day come, and this is a total cluster until the Guardian has an explanation, and right now everyone is trying to regroup and gather their lives back.
Right now, at Ketcham Park, the troops are on patrol in the skies and on armoured personnel carriers to ensure that the town doesn't have any of those monsters left, and they'll be happy to know that there are none around anymore, it was just ten.
The Royal Defenders and some troops killed 5, and one small Rathalos killed the other five. Neil is there, along with Gwen, Leni, Lori and Carol. Then Leni looks to Carol. "So, anything from the FutureTech guys?"
Carol sighs. "Not yet, the real report is from the Guardian and as of now he is still outside of Royal Woods trying to figure out why these monsters weren't even afraid of the daytime, and everything else is still a total cluster. Next to the troops and Pokémon lost, are also the few innocent souls in the mix."
Lori sighs and she looks to her siblings playing amongst themselves in the playground. "Didn't think we would be fighting some big bad and savage freaks and hear that some good folks have been killed, this whole thing... But mostly, Marcy."
They all recall that, the Light Fury that was with Marcy, named Moonlight was torn apart and left as a bloody and unforgettable massacre, and it still haunts them to see a large and noble flying, fire breathing beast slaughtered in the hands of those unholy freaks from another world.
Gwen then looks to the sky. 'At least this chaos is over, and I hope Marcy is doing fine. Now we all need to try and get over whatever hell nightmare we had to fight. That fight was kinda tough, and even though we won... Still lost.'
Neil on the other hand, he can feel the rage of Deathwing within. The beast of destruction is furious at knowing a dragon was slain by such atrocities and this makes Neil try to calm down and control Deathwing. 'When the time comes, then when the guardian found the world from where they come from... We go there and we get rid of those wretched monsters, revenge for what they did to the Light Fury!'
(Somewhere far from Royal Woods.)
As of now, we see the Guardian and Pyrrha walking around the site where the Wendigo's first appeared and they scan the area for any signs of anything, and even some protoss Sentry and Probes are with them and checking everything.
They wander around and check for any signs of magical residue or any hints of how the heck these mothers may have gotten through and into their world, though Gyro seems to have a clear idea on what may have brought them there, and this is something he needs to handle alongside FutureTech.
Pyrrha then uses her magic and she closes her eyes. "Guardian, an energy flux was once here, but it came from beneath the ground, and that would mean they burrowed out when they came through." She then looks to Gyro who is looking at some holes. "Huh, well here they were..."
Gyro sighs. "Aye lass, they were here and gone dead to the ground." Gyro kneels down and looks to the holes. "We should've been here, but we didn't know because we were too preoccupied by something else. This... God damn it, some folks got killed, and we lost a mighty creature."
"This is insane and just wild. How the hell did the monsters come here and managed to bypass getting detected by everything else? It's almost as if a powerful source of energy managed to... To adapt onto them and make them impossible to find, and that explains why they were immune to being out in god damn broad daylight!"
Pyrrha is surprised and then she realizes what he is talking about and now she knows too on what caused this. "The Infinite Corridor, but I thought you had the whole thin under control to prevent other worldly mishaps?"
Gyro sighs. "I thought so too, but something else is controlling it and I think I know what and who... The Calamity Music Box in Amphibia that damned thing... I may have done some damage but apparently... I think some giant bastard Salamander managed to repair it and is tampering with the instrument."
Pyrrha didn't like this and she looks around and sees this small energy, she uses her magic to gather it and then she contains it within a jar and hands it to Gyro. "Something from the world of Amphibia I do believe, and it's green energy."
Gyro sees it and he is angered. "God damn it. King Andreas is tampering with the music box and trying something... I need to return to the Infinite Corridor and ensure that there is no sources of magic leaking from that world, and also lock down the world where those wretched Wendigo came from."
Gyro and Pyrrha both turn to their avian forms and they fly off, and then they open a portal and head for the Great Gate, located on the Royal Fortress, they have a mission to handle and the crossover with another world might just have to wait.
The Sentry's and Probes sees this and they head back to the Allied Outpost, and far from where they are is Leon and Sergei and they're using a Sherman and Churchill Crocodile and setting fire to the corpses of those wretched monsters and are having fun doing so.
(Royal Dawn. Lewis-Spellman Mansion.)
We go to the backyard and this is where Michelle Lewis is, she then goes to the main gate that leads out of the backyard and she heads to the open field and she sees someone there, well some folks. Lincoln, Luna, Sam, Jordan, Linka, the Netherdrakes, they're Pokémon and Marcy Wu Lewis, and with her is the new member of the family, the juvenile Rathalos.
All of them look upon the grave that has been marked there, the tombstone of the former friend and family member, who showed up many months ago through the Infinite Corridor and into they're world, this is the grave of the Light Fury known as Moonlight.
Michelle stands with them and all of them look to Marcy and see her with tears rolling down her cheeks and she sniffs and then she wipes them away. She sighs and then the Rathalos juvenile goes near her and then to the grave and the little beast whimpers, and recalls something about the Light Fury.
The Light Fury seems to recall the creature that was always watching over it back when it was an egg, and that creature was the Light Fury and how it cared for the egg of the Rathalos and wanted to watch it hatch and then grow up into something that isn't going to be too dangerous to the greater good.
Lincoln then speaks. "Marcy, we get the feeling too. Just like the day we lost, Penny. It was a horrible time for us to experience, and yo just lose Moonlight... This is something else and... We're sorry."
Luna is next to speak. "The big guy meant a lot to ya, you understood its fear of being here and gave the big guy a home and didn't want him to be left alone and be scared... That was something that was a true act of kindness."
Sam also speaks. "You were always being around the Light Fury, enjoyed to be the company he needed, and treated him almost like a mom would do for her child, and we have all understanding about that, because Luna and I would do what we can to be there for Lincoln here, as you with Moonlight."
Then comes Linka. "Just like how Linc and I with the Netherdrakes, we treat them as family and would fight with them to the end, I guess he wanted to make sure that the girl who helped him in this world was safe, along with the egg who is his little brother."
Next is Jordan. "We just wish there is a way to have Moonlight here, but it wouldn't work and would be wrong... But, I don't think we would ever forget the Light Fury Marcy, he'll always be within you. In your heart, and mind."
Michelle kneels down to Marcy's level. "Marcy, it is all gonna alright, sweetie. We're all here for you, and so is someone else to be in your life."
Marcy looks down and she sees the young Rathalos is now on her lap and smiling and this makes her smile too. The others then head back to the mansion, and then Lincoln looks back. "You coming Marcy."
Marcy waves back. "I'll be there soon, I wanna be out here for a whole first." Lincoln nods, and he heads back to the mansion with the others, and try to cope with what went down in the loss of a good family member.
Michelle on the other hand thinks about some ways to help Marcy get over what she had witnessed, because she did saw her friend get torn apart and that is a scarring moment.
Marcy continues to watch over to the grave of her once proud and noble flying friend, The Light Fury named Moonlight, and she wipes away her tears and she sighs. 'Feels just like the time I lost my friends after what I have done... But, this one is different and painful.'
Marcy then looks to the Rathalos on her lap and she pets his head, she then places a kiss on the juvenile beast and it giggle and smiles. Marcy smiles back and she picks up the little Rathalos and she soon gets up and looks to the grave of her former companion and friend.
"Farwell, Moonlight..." She then looks to the sky. "I hope you're with those you lost from your world, good bye my dearest friend." Marcy along with her Rathalos companion, both walk away and head back to the mansion.
Even though they lost the Light fury, at least his sacrifice was not in vain and a new life sparked from that sacrifice and one day... One day...
Marcy. 'When the Guardian finds the world of those things... Then I wanna be a part of destroying every single god damn last, Wendigo living there! Free the people from that terror and end those monsters, for good!'
To be continued in the next chapter.
A/N: They have a lot to handle, from mourning all the way to repairing, and soon they'll need to try and counter whatever is gonna come next to their world from the dimension of where Amphibia is. The Light Fury may be gone, but Marcy has someone else to keep company. Leave a review and tell me what you guys think of this new chapter.
The next chapter will be posted on November 14.
