Izuku was still wondering if he was dreaming. After all, he'd never heard of a power that could be passed from one person to another. But it was clear that whatever the energy in Toshinori's hand was, it had nothing to do with increasing muscle mass.
"A Quirk that can be passed down...I've never seen anything like it!" Twilight said in awe.
"Don't worry Young Midoriya, I won't force this on you. It's your choice to do it or not. But if you accept, both a great honor and a heavy burden will be passed on to you." Toshinori clarified.
"And are you saying not even the government knows about this?" Izuku asked.
"Well, not entirely. There are doctors, some of the workers at my agency, and some very trusted friends. In total, I'd say at least 1% of the population of Japan knows about [One For All]."
"Whoa, nelly..." Applejack said.
"And Izuku managed to impress you because he was really super cool back there, right?" Pinkie smiled.
Toshinori nodded. "Yes. He jumped into action while the rest of us stood idly by. While one of the world's best heroes was helpless to do anything but hold the enemy off. He acted like a true hero out there, a rare attribute in our current society."
Izuku felt really flattered and more than a bit embarrassed as he hung his head down. Twilight put a hand on her friend's shoulder to support him.
"Izuku, he's right. Ever since we were kids, you always had the heart of someone who wanted to help others simply because it's the right thing to do. If All-Might himself thinks you're worthy, then I think you should trust that judgment."
"You're right...If this power can take me further... If it can help me save more people... Then I'll accept it!" Izuku said, now looking more determined.
Toshinori chuckled. "No reluctance... Heh, you remind me of myself when I was your age. Before we begin, you should know that [One For All] could tear apart whoever inherits it."
Izuku and the Mane 6 blanched at what they were just told. Fluttershy almost looked ready to faint dead away while Applejack pulled her father's Stetson hat down over her eyes and shook her head.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure you should've told us that beforehand." Rainbow Dash said dryly.
"Well darling, I believe a serious workout regime is required." Rarity said.
"And I think we can help with that." Applejack smiled with a wink.
With training in mind, Toshinori brought Izuku and the Mane 6 to Dagobah Municipal Beach Park, which was completely filthy and covered in trash.
"Good heavens, why can't anybody pick up after themselves?" Rarity gagged, wrinkling her nose in disgust.
"It's one of the reasons I chose this place specifically," Toshinori explained. "We're about to get into some serious training so you can all be ready for the UA High entrance exams."
"Well, looks like we better get started!" Twilight said. "I think all of us can use this to our advantage."
"Yeah! This is the perfect place to train our Quirks!" Rainbow Dash grinned, her pegasus wings spreading out from her back.
First off Izuku was jogging alongside Rainbow and Applejack who were enjoying it, while Izuku himself was panting. Riding behind them were Toshinori, Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie on bicycles.
"Come on, Izuku, pick up the pace!" Rainbow ordered.
"We know ya can do better!" Applejack added.
"I'm going as fast as I can!"
"Remember, Izu. We're pushing you this hard because we care." Pinkie smiled.
"Are you sure we should be working him this hard?" Fluttershy asked.
"It may be hard for him, but we got to get him in perfect shape as quickly as possible," Twilight answered.
"Young Yugure is correct!" Toshinori said with a nod. "At the pace that we're going, we should be able to get Young Midoriya primed and ready to inherit [One For All] in no time!"
After Izuku completed his jogging, they went to a secluded area by the park where the boy was sitting down reaching to touch his toes. Applejack was kneeling down behind him with her arms draped down his torso. She was helping him by pushing him further than he could bend on his own.
"Lucky..." Rainbow pouted, especially when she saw Applejack's modest breasts pressing against Izuku's back, making the freckled young lad blush heavily in embarrassment.
After the seated toe touches were done, Izuku was now doing push-ups with Pinkie and Rainbow sitting on his back for extra resistance.
"Come on, push 'em up!" Rainbow ordered.
After three more hours of exercise, which also involved moving large pieces of garbage to clean up the beach, Izuku was sitting down on a bench looking drenched in sweat as Fluttershy offered him a bottle of water.
"That was some good progress you made, Young Midoriya," Toshinori said proudly. "Keep this up, and you'll be more than ready!"
"I hope so..." Izuku gasped as he chugged the water bottle Fluttershy gave him as if his life depended on it.
After four more months of training and cleaning up the beach, Toshinori believed that Izuku was now more than ready to inherit [One For All], especially after seeing the swimmer's build the young lad had developed.
"Young Midoriya, I dare say that it's time to take the next step of your training; mastering [One For All]!"
"I'm ready, All-Might!" Izuku said with determination.
"Aw yeah! This is where things get serious!" Rainbow Dash said excitedly.
Toshinori then buffed up into his All-Might Form and yanked a single strand of hair from his head before holding it out to Izuku.
"NOW EAT THIS!"
The entire world went silent. Izuku and the Mane 6 all stared at the single golden strand of hair as no noises were made other than the cawing of nearby seagulls.
"...Wut?"
Toshinori deflated and rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Sorry, in order for the inheritor to accept the Quirk, they need to ingest the predecessor's DNA. I just figured a piece of hair was the least gross way to do it."
"Couldn't you have just spit in his drink?" Pinkie Pie asked. "I mean, that's a little gross, but it would be easier to swallow."
Izuku sighed, but took the hair and swallowed it, shivering as he felt it go down.
"So glad I don't have to do this more than once..."
However, he soon felt the effect, energy flowing through his body. He could feel his muscles hardening as steam started to come off him.
"Darling, are you alright?" Rarity asked.
"Yeah, I think I am..." Izuku said as his body calmed down.
"From the looks of things, I dare say the Quirk is agreeing with you," Toshinori noted.
"Alright, now we need to figure out how to make the Quirk work," Twilight said as Izuku clenched and unclenched his fist.
"Yeah, I have a feeling that even with my body trained for it, I'm not fully prepared to handle the energy."
"I'll say! It's a good thing you didn't throw a punch or your arm would've exploded!" Pinkie said.
"How did you figure that?" Rainbow asked.
"Just a hunch!"
"You'll need to learn how to control [One For All] throughout your whole body, but I'm not the right person to be teaching you that. After all, I was something of a prodigy when using it for the first time." Toshinori noted. "Fortunately, I have a friend who knows the secret and can help you understand how to use it best. And thankfully I won't have to contact Gran Torino for this..."
"Who is it, All-Might?" Twilight asked.
"Why don't you ask her and find out?" Came a soothing motherly voice that Twilight recognized all too well as she spun around.
Standing there was a tall, beautiful woman with hair in colors of morning pink, green, and blue that flowed like a river. She was currently wearing a lovely white sundress that showed off her motherly figure quite well. This was Taiyo Amaterasu, also known as the Sun Goddess Hero: Celestia.
"Celestia-Sensei!" Twilight cried as she hugged the woman as if she were her mother, Celestia smiling and hugging her back.
"It's nice to see you again, my faithful pupil. I believe Toshinori has finally found someone to inherit his power?"
Toshinori smiled and patted Izuku on the back. "I take it you can sense the young man beside me?"
Celestia smiled as she approached Izuku, who was staring at her radiant beauty with red washing over his soft freckled cheeks, his heartbeat picking up its pace as he struggled to find the right words to say.
"Twilight has told me many great things about you, Izuku. How your heart is open and kind to those who need help, how you put your smarts to use in helping others, how despite not being born with a Quirk, you strived to be a hero who looks after others. All truly admirable traits of a person worthy of [One For All]."
"T-Thank you, Ms. Celestia..." Izuku stuttered.
"It's now time to get into the real training," Toshinori said. "You kids have been doing a good job of cleaning up the beach but now it's time to kick things into overdrive! There's still six months until the UA Entrance Exam, which should give us plenty of time to train you for what's to come."
Four months later and Dagobah Municipal Beach was looking resort-worthy once more. Izuku and the Mane 6 all put their physical skills as well as their Quirks to use in getting things cleaned up.
Twilight learned to more properly harness her Quirk's magical capabilities and also took to flying with Rainbow Dash since her Quirk gave her wings just like her. Applejack's natural physical prowess combined with her Quirk, [Core], was a big help in cleaning up large pieces of trash.
However, one fateful day, Pinkie Pie came across something strange while picking up some trash with Rarity...or rather, someONE.
"Hey guys, check this out!"
Everyone stopped what they were doing to see Pinkie and Rarity carrying a humanoid figure over. His primary colors were bright blue and yellow and his body seemed to look like a beetle carapace.
"What a strange creature..." Celestia noted.
"Could he be an alien?" Pinkie asked curiously.
Suddenly, the humanoid's eyes shot open, revealing them to be light blue with white pupils as he stood up straight, looking around frantically and trying to regain his bearings.
"Easy there, lad. We aren't going to hurt you." Toshinori said as the humanoid calmed down, looking at Izuku.
"It's you...I finally found you!"
"Me?"
The humanoid stood up and smiled, a small black beetle-like creature popping up on his shoulder.
"I'm Marco Nui! And you're the son of my master!"
"Son...you know my dad?" Izuku asked.
"Yes! Hisashi Midoriya! I come from the land of Mata Nui and your father once came there. He helped train me and told me that if anything were to happen to him, I'd come here to help you!"
"Simmer down there. Are you some kind of alien or something?" Applejack questioned.
"Well, Mata Nui is in another dimension..." Marco awkwardly admitted. "But I managed to find a way here! Our technology allowed me to easily pinpoint the dimension you live in."
"That's oddly convenient..." Rainbow said.
"Oh my, who's this cute little guy?" Fluttershy said, affectionately petting Marco's beetle.
"Oh, that's Click. He's my buddy. I never go anywhere without him."
Click chirped, appreciating the affection Fluttershy was giving him. Twilight hummed as she inspected Marco, clearly intrigued and wanting to learn more about him and the dimension he came from.
"I have a lot to explain to Mom when I get home tonight..." Izuku awkwardly said.
Thankfully, Izuku's mother, Inko, was aware of who Marco was and welcomed him into their household with open arms. Izuku didn't know much about his father since he died when he was still a little kid so Marco was more than happy to tell him tales of the man's exploits in the world of Mata Nui.
Marco soon joined Izuku and the Mane 6 in their training, Dagobah becoming cleaner by the minute. At one point Izuku had brought up the possibility of hidden bodies, prompting Toshinori to contact his friend on the force, Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi. But it seemed corpses were one thing no one was desperate enough to dump on the beach, so the training passed without incident.
The training also helped Izuku get more used to [One For All]. At first, he started using just 2% when moving the junk. Now he could consistently hit 10% without his body getting overtaxed.
Soon, the training was done and everyone proudly looked at their labors bear fruit.
"I gotta say, I'm amazed. I only set aside a small area to clean, but you both cleaned up the entire beach." Toshinori said.
"You children did splendidly. You are more than ready to face the challenges ahead." Celestia smiled.
"We've still got a month until the UA Entrance Exam. What say we unwind with some games at the arcade to celebrate?" Rainbow suggested.
"We've already sent your applications to UA ahead of time," Toshinori said. "And don't worry Young Marco, we've also managed to get you proper citizenship as well as your own application."
"Thanks for that, Mr. Yagi." Marco smiled, Click chirping in agreement.
"Enjoy yourselves. You've more than earned a reprieve from all your hard work." Celestia smiled as the eight teens headed off.
"Those kids are gonna be amazing heroes," Toshinori said as Celestia nodded.
"Yes, I dare say they will."
Marco Nui belongs to a friend of mine, Ezio1-3, all credit goes to him.
Next time, Izuku and his friends partake in the UA Entrance Exam and show off just what they can do while coming across some new and familiar faces.
