Magical Resolves in Two Heroic Hearts Grow

"I'm sorry, but my name is Adora." Adora corrected the old woman.

"Yes, yes, Mara is such a pretty name." Razz patted Adora on the shoulder.

"Did she not hear what I just said?" Adora asked Deku.

"Just go along with it, you being the new She-Ra must have remind her the last She-Ra that was a thousand years ago." Deku said.

"But not to worry, grandma Razz knows you're not the same Mara she knew." Deku assured.

"Of course, I do. My eyes are blind, and these glasses are the extra help." Razz tapped onto her glasses.

"Okay, if you two say so." Adora decided to go along with this even though this is weird and showed the sword to her.

"My word, such a fine sword just like Mara had." Razz complimented.

"Grandma, Mara here is having trouble with what's been going on around her recently and can't seem to transform on command unable to fully decide on what to do with her life." Deku explained to his adopted grandmother.

"Hmm, is that right?" Razz walked up to Adora and pulled her face down for a closer look for a few seconds.

"Oh yes, deary, this girl is troubling in the soul and Madam Razz knows just how to cheer that up." Razz smiled pushing Adora away and grabbing her basket, then handed the other two to Deku and Adora.

"Oh, then I guess we'll be going there now." Deku realized with a smile.

"Wait, where are we going?" Adora asked.

"To go berry picking." Deku answered with a calm smile, confusing Adora even more now.

(Ancient Ruin)

Razz and Deku lead Adora to what appears to be a structure of an ancient ruin that looks all shiny like crystals underneath some vines and berries growing onto them, Adora looks around seeing the place as it gives her a strange feeling.

"You and grandma come here for berry, in this place?" Adora asked.

"That's right, when she feels like going out for berry picking, we would always come here and I'm sure you can already tell this is another of the First One's ruin." Deku explained.

"The First One's, the more you mention it the more I feel like I know them, and this place feels very familiar somehow, but I don't know what." Adora placed a hand on where the heart is.

"Well, my grandmother discovered this place a long time ago." Deku mentioned.

"Oh yeah, you once said that your grandmother didn't like the First Ones." Adora recalled.

"That's right, but she wouldn't tell me why and every time I try, she would get angry swinging her friend, Broom around." Deku said.

"Wait, wait, wait, did you just say your grandmother's friend is a broom?" Adora asked surprise.

"Yeah, she has been able to make other friends than her broom which she believed she brought it to life centuries ago." Deku embarrassed a little.

"Bet having you around changed all that." Adora teased with a smirk.

"A little, but I still love her all the same and surprise of the things she can do like that." Deku pointed at Razz who is currently climbing the larger structure.

"This is the best place to pick fresh berries!" Razz shouted exciting.

"Hey, be careful up there! That thing's not safe." Adora worried.

"Not to worry, she does this all the time despite her old age." Deku assured.

Razz keeps on climbing onto the structure hoping to get to the top and jumps higher to get there, though along the way lights started to appear from the structure almost like the old witch was pressing some buttons on the building. And when she reaches the top, then suddenly the whole structure started lighting up and the sudden lights causes Razz to fall, but Deku was able to save her with his power and slides back down.

"You okay, grandma?" Deku asked.

"Oh, dearie me! That was quite a tumble, eh?" Razz chuckled.

Adora came over giving him the look on her face with her arms crossed under her breasts.

"Okay, so sometimes grandma Razz get into accidents like this, but wherever I go with her things always happened like this." Deku gestured to the sky as the structure creates a hologram illusion of itself being like new and sky being filled with lights.

"Stars?" Adora surprised as she somehow knew.

"Oh, we used to come here to look at the stars. Do you remember, Mara? They're all gone now. What happened to the stars?" Razz wondered with a sad expression.

"You also told me that stars can also form into a shape like a symbol or something." Deku said.

"Yes, there was this one stary form I wanted to show you so much." Razz nodded.

"I've… Seen this before." Adora said.

"You have? How and when?" Deku asked shock.

"I don't know, but deep down I know I've seen them before. I know all of this somehow." Adora confused a little about this herself.

Suddenly her mind started showing imagines, things that felt very familiar as if they are memories from the past with the last part being the giggling and crying of a baby along with the background seeing two moons and stars.

Adora felt like she is about to have a headache as she grabs onto her head and Deku place a hand on her shoulder and the other taking her hand for comfort.

"You feeling better now?" Deku asked.

"Maybe, but there is still so much that is going on that I'm not even sure what's happening with me." Adora exclaimed, then got a pat on the head by Razz's broom.

"Young lady, we came out here to for berry picking and your basket is empty unlike Deku." Razz pointed at Deku's basket having berries inside.

"When did you…?" Adora confused surprise.

"Superspeed and while you were looking worried at my grandma." Deku shrugged.

"Come now, there's another part where we can get some fresh berries." Razz said as they started walking again.

(With Catra)

Catra just enter the cadet room and laying down on her bonk bed wanting to get her mind out of the talk she had with the other cadets, then mostly about the last encounter with Adora at that village when the Horde troops she was leading were attacking. She felt betrayed when the best friend and girl she knew would walk out on everything they've been through, but then she started to remember the words Adora said back there too.

"We can run away together and start a new life together where we can fully be free and help take out the Horde."

"Fuck, Adora, since when did you sound so crazy?" Catra asked.

"Sure, maybe it does sound crazy, but I know now that the Horde isn't what I should be fighting for and deep down you know that you want to be free from that place too." Remembering that Adora extended her hand to Catra.

"Freedom from the Horde, that actually does sound better." Catra whispered to herself.

Then her thoughts went to thinking about Deku, the way he fought off and defeated Katsuki and battle and how he looked at her with those strong and gentle handsome eyes.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, handsome? Since when did I start liking boys?" Catra surprised at herself.

"It would seem you had other thoughts." A dark woman entered the scene.

"What do you want, Shadow Waver?" Catra asked angry.

"Impertinent as always, I see. With such a grand failure under your belt, it would benefit you to show more respect, cadet." Shadow Waver glared.

"Look, me and Katsuki went to find Adora just where you told us she would be, we didn't expect to be ambush by a new princess and that green guy." Catra mentioned.

"The Emerald Warrior of Dryl, Deku. Yes, your temper companion told me very much." Shadow Waver revealed Katsuki wrapped in her dark magical tentacles and unwrapped one from his mouth.

"Put me down you magic hag! I'm going back out there and kill that Deku bastard, I refuse to believe he got the better of me!" Katsuku shouted in rage.

"Wow, going back to get your ass kicked again, I would so love to see that." Catra laughed.

"Shut it, weird-eyes furball! I'm better than anyone here, especially that traitor blondie-red because know I'm calling the shots!" Katsuki shouted again and Shadow Waver covered his mouth again.

"You know, maybe Adora had the right idea of leaving. This feels more like a prison than being soldiers." Catra stated clutching her fists.

"Whether you like it or not, Adora is gone, defected. Although it's not like a bitch like you would understand what she is really going through." Catra glared.

"ENOUGH!" Shadow Waver shouted in rage and all the lights are shattered.

"I am out of patience to address your incompetence and your insubordination, cadet. You will answer to a higher power, Lord Hordak himself." Shadow Waver angered as Catra becomes a little afraid.

(Whispering Woods)

The two young ones are following Razz through the woods while Adora is looking down of not finding the answers she has been looking for like where did she really come from and wonder if she even knows what the right thing to do is.

"Adora, I know it's hard trying to find the purpose of your life." Deku said.

"You do?" Adora asked.

"Yeah, I used to think too much on what my life purpose would be like if I wanted to be something like than a hero and I get scared of maybe I'm not doing what I wanted." Deku looked at his hand.

"How did you get over that?" Adora asked.

"Well, I've always been the kind of guy who thinks too much like how I like things and all, but calmed myself down when I had help from those around me such as my grandma and friends in Dryl, they helped me see that there is more to me than what I realize as I've always looked to heroes like the legend of She-Ra." Deku explained as he jumps onto a log and help Adora up.

"And it was also seeing all the bad things the Horde have done like what happened here." Deku gestured to a wasteland field with several abandoned Horde tanks.

Adora's eyes widen of shock seeing this as she can tell there must have been battle here and the Horde has caused so much damage to a place that was one filled with life, looking around and closer at the tanks.

"Never knew the Horde would do this much harm outside the Fright Zone, did you?" Deku asked.

"I never been outside of the Fright Zone until last night." Adora answered.

"Ah, it's the same old story, dearie. Wicked people destroy what they cannot control." Razz sighed.

"They can't just do this!" Adora said.

"And yet they keep on harming life just to take control to get what they want and be the ones in power, something I never forgive them for." Deku glared at the tanks.

"The current princesses are ignoring the destruction and crying for help all because of one incident, I became a warrior in hopes of becoming a hero who can inspire others to fight as well and hope the princesses can come too." Deku believed.

"That sounds brave and ambitious." Adora commented.

"You're very like my Mara, you know? Brave, loyal, but afraid." Razz said to Adora.

"What? I'm not afraid." Adora denied.

"Adora, you've been having trouble ever since you found the sword and battling your former troops, it's time you start listening to your heart." Deku placed a hand on Adora's chest where the heart is.

This causes Adora to blush in shock and Deku too when he realizes what he is doing right now and pulled his hand away.

"S-S-Sorry about that." Deku apologized.

"Don't worry, you were just trying to prove a point." Adora said.

"Dearie, my little Deku speaks the truth. Stop waiting for someone to tell you what the right thing to do is. What do you think?" Razz asked.

"I think… This is wrong." Adora said feeling stronger in her heart.

Then they heard neighing from a horse crying for help, Deku and Adora quickly follow where the sound is coming from and see the transformed horse being force down by some Horde soldiers.

"That horse needs our help, you ready?" Deku asked.

Adora took a little moment looking at herself in the reflecting of her sword and her eyes narrow of determination.

"I am." Adora nodded and raised the sword high.

"For the Honor of Grayskull!" Adora transformed into She-Ra.

Deku smiles seeing Adora has made her decision on what she fully wants to do with her life to save Etheria, he puts on his mask, and they jump right into the fray as the landing causes a little shockwave pushing the soldiers back and freeing the horse.

"Turn off your machines and leave this place now!" Adora demanded.

"Trust me, you don't want this fight." Deku added.

"It's the princess and Deku, get them!" A Horde commander said.

She-Ra started taking out soldiers each with one hit from her sword and fist while attacks some more soldiers with some blitzing strikes sending them flying, he went up hill to axe-kick a claw from one tank and does a double palm strike pushing it off the cliff of the hill.

Three Horde tanks aimed the cannons at She-Ra blasting away, but she waited patiently and dodged each large laser blasts and ran towards one slicing the cannon off and perform a strong high kick sending it flying to crash onto the side of the cliff. She turns to the other two tanks as she pierces her sword into one and push it against the other squeezing them a bit, then she sliced the two cannons as well.

"Oh wow, I'm super strong!" Adora amazed at herself.

"And you're super dead!" The Horde commander aimed one cannon at her.

"Thunder Dryl Smash!" Deku punched right onto the commander's head sending himself crashing into a metal cabin and unconscious.

Seeing their commander is now, the Horde solider called in a retreat and ran for their lives while a few were screaming like little girls.

"Feels good doing the right thing, huh?" Deku asked.

"Yeah, you're right. It did feel good, and now I am ready to join the Rebellion to fight for the people." Adora smiled proudly.

"So happy to hear, and that means you can join too, Deku." Razz said.

"Thank you, grandma and I promise to be careful." Deku said hugging Razz.

"I know you will." Razz smiled as the flying horse came to them.

"Now, let's head to Bright Moon. Don't suppose you could give us a lift, Swift Wind?" Deku asked the horse.

"Swift Wind?" Adora puzzled.

"A name I just thought of for the horse." Deku answered.

"How nice, the horse picked wanted to name himself that." Razz mentioned.

"Well, guess we have a lot in common." Deku chuckled.

"Okay, Swift Wind, about that ride?" Adora asked.

Several seconds later, Adora and Deku are now flying onto Swift Wind's back together heading for Bright Moon.

(Bright Moon)

"How could you possibly think this was acceptable?!" Angella yelled at her daughter.

"Mom, you don't understand! You're not listening!" Glimmer argued as Ochaco and Bow are with her for support.

"You've shown remarkably poor judgment! Allowing two possibly Horde soldiers into Bright Moon without telling me?" Angella said.

"But your Majesty, they're not Horde Soldiers. Well, one of them is, but she left them willingly and the other one is Emerald Warrior of Dryl." Ochaco stated.

"And how do you even that they are spies pretending to say who they are. Did you ever think of that?" Momo asked angry.

"Why don't you ask us." Deku said as he and Adora in her She-Ra form and glowing in golden light, enter the throne room surprising everyone.

"It can't be…" Angella shocked.

"I was trying to tell you. Mom, meet—"

"She-Ra." Angella said.

"So, that means the other one is really Deku." Momo said, also surprise.

"Your majesty, me and She-Ra have come to pledge ourselves in the cause of the Rebellion." Deku stated.

"But first, there's something you should know." Adora transformed back shocking everyone.

"Mom, this Adora and Deku can promise you, she's, our friend." Glimmer said, Adora smiles at her and kneels to the queen.

"I know you have no reason to trust me, Your Majesty. But I've seen for myself the atrocities the Horde has committed against the people of Etheria, and I'm ready to fight to stop them. If you give me the chance, I know I can help the Rebellion turn the tide of the war." Adora offered her sword to the queen.

Angella is shocked to be hearing this from one with the Horde symbol, she looks to Glimmer who nods at her and takes the sword.

"I know the legend of the warrior the First Ones called She-Ra. They said she would return to us in the hour of our greatest need to bring balance to Etheria. I never thought she was anything more than a myth. And yet you're here now. And in the uniform of a Horde soldier, no less." Angella surprised.

"You would pledge to stand with us against those you once served?" Angella asked.

"Yes." Adora answered without hesitation.

"And you, the Emerald Warrior of Dryl. You wish to join us now of all times, do you vouch for her and take responsibility for her as well?" Angella asked.

"Of course, I can see great potential in her of being a hero to save Etheria and I'll be right beside her every step of the way." Deku declared.

"Then there isn't much to say except, The Rebellion accepts your allegiance, Deku and She-Ra, Princess of Power." Angella welcomed them as everyone cheers.

"It looks like I owe you an apology, princess and Ochaco." Momo said.

"No worries, it's all good!" Ochaco smiled.

"And thus, a new chapter starts in our life." Deku smiled.

"Yeah, it sure does." Adora nodded.
