On a brighter note, we did get a "Dance, Ginger?" scene with Cal and Gillian, but it was never enough for me. We deserved something more, don't you think?

Gillian was walking through The Lightman Group corridors, heading towards Cal's office with two cups of coffee in her hands. They had a difficult case that day and decided to take a small break to defuse the tension and clear up their minds before getting back to work. She quickly picked up their drinks from a local café across the corner while he went to look for something in his cabinet. As she entered the room, Gillian was greeted by the noises coming from Cal's study and his confused mumbling.

"Cal?" she called him, surprised to see an empty desk. "What are you doing?"

"Hey, darling," he came out of the corner and took his drink from her hand, taking a little sip. "I was cleaning up the closet. Well, I was trying to find one thing, actually."

"What?" Gillian smiled, and Cal grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her in.

"It's so dusty here, when was the last time you tied it up?"

"I used to make Emily do it as part of her little punishments reserved for special occasions," he chuckled.

"Her departure to college is definitely taking its toll on you," she smirked and gently patted him on the shoulder. "Is this an old turntable?"

"Aye, had that for ages. Wonder if it still works."

Cal moved a box and put it on a table near the couch, slowly starting to sort through the records collection, until he found the perfect one (in his opinion).

"Aite, let's try this. You like jazz, don't you, love?"

"It's one of my go-to methods for relaxing and unwinding."

"Fair enough," he said, tuning in the player.

The soft sounds started to fill the air.

Hmmmmm I've got a crush on someone. Guess who

I've got a crush on you, sweetie pie

"May I have this dance, Gillian?"

She hesitated for a moment, but then took his hand and allowed him to pull her close. They swayed to the music, lost in the moment.

"Is this Ella Fitzegerald?" she asked.

"I think so"

How glad the million ralish from millionairs to carish

Would be to capture me

But you had such persistence, you wore down my resistance

I fell and it was swell

Cal spun her around, causing her to giggle, and then pulled her back in, wrapping his arms around her waist. They moved together in perfect harmony, lost in the music.

"You're too romantic for someone claiming to hate it all, you know."

"I'd be anyone for you, what can I say?"

I've got a crush on you, sweetie pie

All the day and night-time give me sigh

I never had the least notion that

I could fall with so much emotion

As the song came to an end, Cal dipped Gillian low and held her there for a moment before bringing her back up. They looked into each other's eyes, both feeling the electricity between them.

"You make me a better person, Gillian. I mean it. I love you."

"I love you too, Cal," she replied. "We should do it more often".

"Anything for you, love, anything."

They stood there for a moment longer before finally returning to their work.
