Chapter Ten: Babysitters and Orientation

~Summary~ Izumi meets Daiki's new babysitter and U.A.'s Orientation

~A/N~ Chapter Ten is a go. I hope you enjoy it.

~U.A. Nezu's office~

Shota wasn't in a good mood. Less than a day together and his class was already divided. Bakugo seemed determined to make everyone hate his guts. And thanks to him now the majority of the class knew Midoriya was part of the Black Flight. He wasn't sure how the class would react. Most of them seemed to take it in stride. But fear was a unique beast. It remained to be seen what they truly thought of her.

"So why am I here now?" Shota asked taking the offered tea from Nezu.

"Midoriya has asked to speak to the school during the welcoming ceremony. As such your little test will have to be done after," Nezu stated.

"I see it as a waste of time. But since it's obvious what Midoriya wants to talk about I'll make an exception this once," Shota grumbled.

"Wonderful. I expect to see you there then," Nezu smiled.

"Was there anything else?" the tired hero asked.

"Oh, not much just Great Britain's number one hero is coming to Japan," Nezu said offhandedly.

"What?" Shota stopped his tea halfway to his mouth.

"Alextrasza is coming here. Specifically here. To U.A. to see our recently woken ward," Nezu said.

"Shimura-san?" Shota said. "She's the lost red," Nezu simply nodded as Shota came to the realization of who Nana was.

"I sent word to her that we've found her missing child. Her reply was that she's coming here," Nezu smiled.

"Well, this will be interesting," Shota said quietly.

~U.A. Midoriya Apartment~

Ochaco wasn't entirely sure how to feel at the moment. She was happy with where she was and what she was doing. She was not happy with how she got to where she was. Spending the night with Izumi was something she wanted to do for a while. So in that aspect, she was happy. A smile slowly came to her face as she felt Izumi curl into her. The smaller woman was still sleeping.

The fact that this happened because Bakugo was a colossal dickbag did not make her happy. She didn't like seeing Izumi cry. She hadn't been able to find the words to comfort her. So she did what she could. She hugged the sorrow-filled mother.

Ochaco hugged Izumi a little tighter. In the end, it didn't matter what happened. She would stay by Izumi's side. She would be her rock. The little time she had spent with Izumi and Daiki had been enough. She wanted to be a part of the family.

Now Ochaco wasn't stupid. She knew her mind was rushing things. Her mind did this to her a lot. Seemingly for no reason. Scenarios of dates, dinners, movie nights, sex, studying, hero work, weddings, dances, and all the like kept coming to her mind when she thought of Izumi. That said it wasn't just Izumi she wanted to be around anymore. She loved spending time with Daiki too. He was a ball of energy that made her laugh and smile so much. She loved the little guy. Ochaco wasn't sure if she could make this work. But damn it all she was going to try.

"Hmm," Izumi groaned lightly as she started to wake.

Izumi wasn't sure the last time she had felt this comfortable in her bed. It was perfect. She felt warm and snug. Like she was being held in a pair of loving arms. Then the embrace grew just a bit tighter. Oh. She was in a pair of arms. Someone was holding her while she slept. There was no way it was Daiki. So it could only be Ochaco. She was the only person she knew that had access to her apartment.

Taking a slow deep breath confirmed it for Izumi. It was Ochaco's scent. She had come to know it well. Other than Daiki it was the scent that was around the most. She curled in a bit more enjoying Ochaco's embrace greatly. Perhaps a little too much if she were honest with herself. She wasn't.

"Hmm," Izumi groaned knowing she should probably be getting up.

"Morning," Ochaco said quietly.

"Morning," Izumi replied still snuggled into Ochaco's arms. "Thanks for last night," She added.

"Anytime," Ochaco replied. Izumi smiled lightly. She couldn't help but smile. The way Ochaco looked at her just made her feel all warm inside.

"Momma!" Daiki's voice cried out as a body impacted the two.

"Well good morning to you," Izumi smiled as Daiki wormed his way in between the two adults.

"Comfy," Daiki said happily between his Momma and his Mochimon.

"We've got a while till class," Ochaco said not wanting to ruin their snuggle pile.

"I suppose we can lay together for a bit longer," Izumi said.

"Yeah," Daiki cheered happily.

~Seedy Bar~

"Sensei," Garaki's voice spoke through a monitor. All For One glanced up from his chess match against Tomura.

"What has you flustered now?" All For One asked.

"Alextrazsa is on the move," Garaki stated.

"Of course, she is," All For One replied his attention back on the chess match. "After all Shimura would be awake by now," he added.

"About that," Tomura asked. "Why didn't you do something to her?"

"Do something to her?" All For One asked. "You'll have to be more specific,"

"You didn't put a self-destructive quirk inside of her or a mind-control quirk?" Tomura asked.

"I've yet to find a mind-control quirk that can work without breaking the person's will. Shimura has a dragon's will. It would never have held without me constantly having to renew it," All For One explained. "And as for a self-destructive quirk. I don't carry them very often. And the ones I do I wouldn't waste on her," Tomura nodded understanding his sensei's reasons now.

"You are not worried?" Garaki asked.

"My dear doctor. You do not make it to my age by letting little things worry you," All For One replied with a chuckle. "Everything will go to plan,"

~U.A. Nezu's Office~

It had taken a lot of effort for Izumi to pull herself from her bed. And that was without Ochaco and Daiki trying to get her to stay. 'I'll have to be careful around Ochaco. Her puppy dog eyes are dangerous,' Izumi thought as Nezu and her waited for the person Nezu hired to watch Daiki while she was in class.

"And you won't just tell me who it is why?" Izumi asked.

"This is more entertaining," Nezu chuckled.

"Of course, it is," Izumi grumbled. She was getting a bad feeling now. Nezu picking on her filled her with fright.

"Sorry I'm late," A feminine voice spoke. The world seemed to freeze and Izumi and the woman made eye contact. Izumi could feel her heart pounding in her chest as the scent of another dragon filled her nose. Whoever this was she was a dragon and a strong one to boot. Izumi couldn't hold back a tremble as the woman stared at her.

"Oh. My. God," Nana said as her eyes went wide. "YOU'RE SO ADORABLE!" She screamed as she shot at Izumi and pulled her into a huge hug.

"Can't... Breath," Izumi gasped out.

"Well then," Nezu chuckled. This wasn't quite the reaction he thought Nana would give seeing Izumi. But it was hilarious all the same.

"Oh... Oh sorry," Nana said putting Izumi down. "I just never thought I'd see the day where a black dragon would have such a cute presence,"

"Cute presence?" Izumi asked.

"To why I called you here," Nezu cut in.

"Right. I'm guessing you want me to train her?" Nana asked. "I'll do it," she added.

"Eh?" Izumi blanched.

"A happy addition but no. What I was hoping you'd do is babysit her son while she's in class," Nezu stated.

"Babysit," Nana said before her eyes widened happily. "How old is he? Does he look like you? Is he a black dragon too? When can I start? Can I spoil him? What's his favorite food? Is he cute?" Nana rambled off quickly.

"One at a time please," Izumi said getting Nana to stop. "But uh. He's almost six, Yes quite a bit like me, Yes he's a red dragon like his father, You could start today, Yes to a certain degree, He likes American food and Mochi snacks, He's adorable," Izumi listed off.

"Red?" Nana asked suddenly. "Who?" she added quickly.

"Calen," Izumi replied.

"Lenny's a dad?" Nana asked.

"He was but... He was killed," Izumi replied sadly.

"Lenny," Nana's joy fell. "My baby brother,"

"I'm sorry," Izumi said tears forming in her eyes. The two hesitated for only a moment then embraced both crying lightly.

"Where is your boy?" Nana asked.

"My friend is watching him in my apartment," Izumi answered.

"Friend you say but you're willing to leave your child with them," Nana said giving Izumi a knowing look. A look that made Izumi flush red and look away.

"She's just a friend," Izumi said again.

"Sure," Nana laughed. "Now can I meet him?" She asked.

"Yeah," Izumi replied then turned to Nezu.

"By all means," Nezu smiled.

"Ok follow me," Izumi said leading Nana out.

~U.A. Track Field~

Katsuki grumbled as he ran laps. He'd been in a sour mood all night. That damned round cheeks dared to call him villainous. He'd done nothing but state a fact. Black Dragons were evil. Fact. It didn't matter who it was. She may be good at hiding it but she was hiding it. Katsuki knew it would only be a matter of time before her real colors were shown.

"On your left," Katsuki was snapped out of his thoughts as Eyebags passed him on the track. That was the third time he'd done that. It was starting to piss him off even more. Was this prick trying to show him up? It took all of Katsuki's self-control to not pick up his pace. He wasn't about to waste energy on an extra. With a huff, Katsuki left the track. He was done with his morning routine anyways.

Hitoshi came to a stop and checked his watch. He smiled seeing he'd beat his best time. He really did owe Denki so much. He hadn't trained a day in his life before high school. Then he met Denki and the blonde and decided that they were destined to be best friends. But thanks to that Hitoshi's eyes were opened to how foolish he was being about becoming a hero. He bitched at people with better quirks than him but did nothing to improve himself. Something Denki had seen and quickly crushed.

"You killed it, man," Denki called out from his spot in the grass. The blonde had finished his laps a bit before Hitoshi. The blonde had always been weirdly fast. Hitoshi dropped down beside Denki and laid back. Intending to enjoy the wonderful day for what it was.

"How many laps did you do?" Hitoshi asked after a few minutes of silence. Denki didn't reply. "Denks?" Hitoshi sat up to see Denki was watching someone else. A smirk came to Hitoshi's face.

"Earth to Denki," He said poking Denki's cheek.

"Ah what?" Denki said snapping back to reality.

"Why don't you go talk to her?" Hitoshi asked.

"Talk to who?" Denki said innocently.

"Yaoyorozu-san," Hitoshi said looking at the woman who was currently doing tai-chi on the otherside of the field.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Denki said looking away.

"You can lie to me but don't lie to yourself," Hitoshi said sternly.

"I'm not her type," Denki said.

"Oh, you know her type?" Hitoshi quickly shot back.

"She's a Yaoyorozu. She wouldn't like an idiot like me," Denki said. "Ow," he whined at Hitoshi. Who had slapped the back of his head.

"You made it into U.A. you're not an idiot. Call yourself that again and I hit harder," Hitoshi stated. "Now go talk to her," he added.

"Fine," Denki snapped and got up and started walking towards the girl.

"Good," Hitoshi smiled and laid back again.

~Orientation~

The freshmen class of U.A. sat quietly as Nezu finished his speech. He had gone over the basic rules of U.A. Most of the students didn't understand why Nezu seemed to stress anti-bullying. Class 1-A knew what Nezu was getting at and more than one of them glanced at the class's resident dragon.

"With all that said. We can move on to our special announcements," Nezu smiled. "Firstly one of your classmates wishes to speak. Normally this wouldn't be done, but this is a special case," Nezu smiled as Izumi stood and walked up on the stage.

"I'll try not to take too much time," Izumi said smiling at Nezu. "Some of you already know what I'm about to say now thanks to someone," Izumi started. "So before the grapevine can start I'll just say it. Yes. I am a black dragon," the bomb was dropped. "And I am the daughter of Deathwing and Sinestra," She added.

Izumi didn't know what to expect. Dead silence was not it. With a sigh, she continued. "I'm not going ask anything beyond this. Give me a chance before you write me off," Izumi gave one more look over the crowd then moved back to her seat.

"Thank you Midoriya-san," Nezu said. "Now onto the second special announcement. With the retiring of our Heroics Course teacher last year. We've hired a new Heroic Teacher," Nezu just smiled as a boisterous laugh echoed out.

"I AM HERE!" All Might slid onto the stage his trademarked smile on full display. "TO TEACH!" Needless to say, the room exploded into cheers.

"Calm down everyone," Nezu's voice called out bringing the cheering down. "All Might is our newest faculty member. So feel free to ask him for help in Quirk training or any physical conditioning you may need. But please don't crowd him for autographs or pictures. While he is here to help he's still a busy man," Nezu explained. "Now just a few more things to cover,"

~Practice Grounds: After Orientation~

Class 1-A found themselves outside not even fifteen minutes after orientation was finished. Aizawa had told them to change into gym clothes and be at the practice grounds asap.

"I'm not one to stand on ceremony," Aizawa started. "I don't like wasting time. So we are going to be performing a Quirk Apprehension Test. I need to know where you stand with your quirks and whether or not you're worth my time. If I judge you unworthy you will be expelled," The class didn't respond. Aizawa's words slowly sank in. U.A. wasn't going to be a normal school.

~End Notes~ I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Sorry, it took so long. I kept getting side-tracked. I'm hoping to get chapters for my other fics out soonish.
