They shopped the day before Christmas and bloody hell was it busy. Hermione had never once regretted going to Diagon Alley that day. Percy helped drop off their stuff and Molly was just happy to see what a gentleman he is.
She had hurried him inside to introduce him to Arthur, Mr. Weasley. "Oh Arthur! Looky here." She exclaimed. "It's Hermione's crush." She not so subtly whispered and she turned into a tomato when Percy sent her a teasing look.
"I'm actually her boyfriend, Mr. Weasley." Percy said as he softly shook the ginger man's hand. Hermione was still worried about the way he was treated at St. Mungo's. His eyes then casted down to his wounds. "Were those attempted stitches?" He said at a closer inspection.
Arthur nodded, "Quite the muggle remedy, the snake poison dissolved them." The man said, the two continued to exchange words and they eventually reached a point where they nodded.
Percy stood back up and walked over to Hermione and kissed her cheek before muttering, "Be right back."
Hermione looked at Molly with a confused look in her eyes, "The boy is trained in muggle emergency medicine! He offered to stitch it together nicely and give me a few potions for it."
Molly looked scandalous and Hermione had to hold back a sigh, of course Percy would do that for Arthur. The man was too interested in muggle techniques. "He also said that no scar would appear." He said weakly. Hermione moved to leave but rounded the corner and stopped as she listened to them talk.
Molly began tutting his lips and shaking his head. "He's just a boy!" She said, hushed.
"He's being seen as a candidate despite his age." Arthur protested. "Dumbledore knows what he's doing, and he's trusting the boy. He's a capable young man."
Molly sighed and shook her head, "I don't like it having someone that young in this."
"Haven't you seen his eyes, dear. That is no boy anymore." Arthur argued and Hermione's head snapped up as the doorbell rang again. She quickly went to open the door and found herself looking as Ginny opened the door.
"Ginny." She hissed.
"Hermione, when were you going to tell me about your boyfriend?" She asked. Hermione's eyes widened.
"W-Well, it's new!" She explained, "We just kissed a few times an-"
"Is he a good kisser?" Ginny asked, cutting her off. "He's Greek, so he must be a good kisser."
Hermione blushed and nodded, subdued. She got out of her head when Percy knocked on the door. Ginny opened the door and Percy stood there, blushing a bit. He slipped inside and pressed a kiss against Hermione's cheek. "I hope you said yes." He teased and walked into the kitchen.
Ginny giggled as she watched Hermione die of embarrassment in front of her, "You're such a traitor." Hermione huffs as she walks towards the kitchen.
Molly was about to close the door and Hermione looked confused, "Percy said that it might be too much for someone to see."
"If Hermione wants to see it, it'll be fine." Percy called out from in the kitchen, "Of course, if Mr. Weasley is fine with it."
After a hushed conversation between the two men, Hermione was allowed inside. Ginny left, wanting no part in it. She quietly watched as Percy unwrapped the gauze and held up a glass bottle with a dropper. "This is an anti-blood clotter, when I apply this to the wound and only the wound, it'll stop clotting, causing no blood to come out."
Arthur nodded, giving her boyfriend permission to put it on. Percy dripped a few on the wound and cringed a bit as he looked at it, "You've taken every required blood-replenishing potion?"
Arthur nodded once again.
Percy hummed and opened his medical box as he pulled out a thread and needle. "I'm going to add a numbing potion to it as well, so you won't feel anything." He did so and Hermione watched in fascination as she learnt about mixing muggle techniques with magic.
Wizards don't like mixing stuff with muggle things, that is why they are so out of date about everything most of the time. She and Molly took in a sharp breath when Percy pierced Arthur's skin with the needle and she looked up at the cabinets.
After a few stitches Percy finished with putting gauze over it, "I'll come back in half an hour to put some of my healing potion on them." He said, "Don't move too much or else you could pop them." He instructed, "The healing potion will leave no traces of a scar and I'll put some on it after I take the stitches out as well."
Molly and Hermione looked at Arthur again after Percy wrapped the gauze around. "You should come here for Christmas dear." Molly said softly. "I know that Hermione would love to have you around."
Hermione blushed and Percy looked back at her with a questioning look. She nodded, "It's fine." She said with a smile.
"Thank you for the invitation, Mrs. Weasley."
"Oh just call her Molly." Arthur interrupted, "You can stop with Mr and Mrs."
Percy gave them a thankful look and nodded. Hermione smiled and Sirius stepped into the kitchen, "Albus has called a meeting, regarding Mr. Grindelwald here."
Percy subtly winced and Hermione put a hand on his forearm, rubbing it softly. She gave him a reassuring look.
Molly looked up, not being able to hide her surprise as she casted a look at the new couple. "But it's too early."
Sirius shook his head, "Nothing is too early in times like these." He said and they stood up, Arthur walked over to Hermione and Percy. She looked as Arthur motioned for Percy to join them over to the room where they held their meetings.
"Can't I co-"
Molly looked a bit mournfully, "No you can't dear." She said and Percy pressed a reassuring kiss against her forehead. Hermione quickly pulled him back by the arm and pressed a light kiss against his lips before she fixed his collar.
"Quite the brave one to kiss me in front of everyone." He teased her quietly. "Such a gryffindor."
Hermione rolled her eyes, "Just go." She said as she pushed him towards the door, softly. She watched as he followed Sirius and the Weasley's into the conference room.
—
Percy was confused as to why he suddenly was in a room surrounded by wizards, and known aurors, even. He was most impressed by the appearance of Mad-Eye Moody. Albus Dumbledore sat at the head of the table.
"A prophecy was revealed to me." The old man said and Percy's heart sunk. "Sybill had yet revealed another."
Percy sat at the only empty seat, opposing Dumbledore's. The old man casted his eyes at the godling. "A wizard of Greek descent shall emerge, seasoned in strife." Percy took in a sharp breath, it revealed his experience in battles. "With hidden knowledge veiled from sight, only to be revealed to his love, a bond for life." He continued, "Destined to aid the chosen one, steadfast and true, Through wars and struggles, he'll rise anew. Though secrets untold, his role is defined, For his path is intertwined, a fate that's aligned."
Percy's heart beated in his chest as he listened to the prophecy, the only thought that came up in his head was how he was going to tell Hermione. Revealed only to love's embrace. "This showcases the power that he has, and loyalty to Harry."
Everyone listened, Dumbledore had taken the room's whole attention. Percy knew what charisma and admiration it took, he had seen it many times before he had led other demigods into battle.
"I vouch for him to join the Order of The Phoenix." Dumbledore said.
Molly and another man shot up in protest, "He's just a kid!" Percy heard and from the man he heard, "Don't put a child through that."
Percy's eyes immediately snapped towards Sirius, he had felt the eyes on his back. "I agree that we should have Percy in the Order as well." Sirius said and stood up, "He is a student at Hogwarts, yes, but he is a duelist. At the age of 16 and accomplished. He is close to Harry." The man argued, raising fair points. "A seasoned strife, he's a fighter. Look at him closely!"
Percy felt as if he was put under a microscope, "Perseus had fought for many and long times, the faded scars on his arms, hands and neck!" He unconsciously put his hands on his knees.
They argued a bunch more and it all led to Percy being sworn into the Order. Percy had to swear to not reveal it, to aid whenever possible and to protect Harry.
Percy did it with no hesitation. It was a way to complete the prophecy. He checked his watch and noticed that three hours had already passed. A few walked out and Percy noticed the trio trying to peek into the room.
Percy caught sight of Hermione's worried look before the door closed once again, leaving him alone with Dumbledore. "You've got secrets you can't tell."
Percy blinked and immediately knew of the man's intentions. "My life depends on it," He admitted, he'd be struck to death by lightning if he wasn't given any permission of sorts to reveal the world. If he wasn't dead, percussions would follow and they'd be grand.
"Except for Miss. Granger." Dumbeldore said.
Percy flushed a bit and nodded, "Could I be excused?" He asked as he looked back at the door, where he saw Hermione.
Dumbledore nodded, "I'll send you more information. You may inform them of your position, but not of the prophecy." The man said and Percy nodded swiftly and walked out of the room.
Arthur was in the kitchen once again and Percy walked over and closed the door before the three could grab a hold of him. "You shouldn't have accepted." The man said, quietly.
Percy sighed as he opened his medical kit, "I must." He sighed, and put numbing potions over his wounds before cutting the stitches, "I know that I am just a kid, but I've been through more than the average." He admitted.
"Why put your life at risk?" The man questioned as he interestingly looked at the stitches.
Percy started to pull them out with a tweezer. "I believe that you joined for the safety of others, Arthur." He mused, "I'm joining for everyone's safety. You heard Dumbledore, I'm destined. I would've helped protect Harry whether or not I had the Order on my side." He answered.
"Are you sure that you are not Gryffindor, I believe that it is very brave of you." The ginger lightened the mood with his joke. Percy dabbed the healing potion over the scar and they looked as his arm looked as good as new. "Tell me how it heals tomorrow?" He asked and Weasley nodded.
He hadn't taken a step out of the room before he was immediately grabbed by Hermione, flanked by Ron and Harry before he was forced to sit down at the couch. The three rapidly asked them questions and Percy blinked a few times. "One at a time?" He asked weakly as he looked at the three and finally focussed on Hermione.
"Are you okay?"
Percy gave her a small smile and nodded.
"What did they want?"
"To talk." Percy gave them a vague answer.
"Are you a part of the Order?" Ron asked, straight to the point.
Percy nodded, the three looked at one another and Ron started cussing, "What the bloody hell?" He spat, "We can't join because we're too young but Percy here is only a year older than us!"
The godling just sat as he listened to Ron vent, they didn't have a clue about Percy's life. He casted a look at Hermoine and found her already looking at him. He gave her a small smile and she just furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at him with her brown eyes.
"I think I should go home." He stood up and looked at Molly in the corner. He subtly looked at Hermione and she noticed, nodded. "Hermione, would you like to stay the night?" He asked.
Hermione looked surprised and turned around to cast a look at her temporary guardian for the vacation. "Can I?" She asked. Molly nodded but pointed a finger at the two, "No funny business though!" She said.
Percy crossed his heart, "I swear, Molly." He said and the woman looked a tad bit relieved but still tense from their meeting.
"Go ahead." She said and Percy slowly stood up, offering his hand to Hermione. "We'll be back tomorrow morning." Hermione said as they walked out of the door.
He felt her concerned eyes on him constantly as they walked in silence to his house, he let her in and handed her a key. "Here." He said.
"This is a bit early, isn't it?" Hermione said, looking concerned. He didn't like how the expression wasn't letting up anytime soon.
Percy shook his head, "I trust you." He said with a smile and walked into the kitchen to put the kettle on the fire. He popped his head in the living room to find her comfortably analyzing the books from his bookshelf.
"Black tea?" He asked and her head turned to him with a small tug at her lips, the small smile made tugs at his heart. She nodded and turned back to the books.
He turned back into the kitchen and leant on the counter, he must've reflected his thoughts onto his expression. He didn't notice the steps coming into the kitchen and he softly looked at the hand on his forearm.
"Talk to me, Percy." Hermione spoke and Percy felt himself fall to her grace.
He turned to her and pressed a kiss against her forehead, "I can tell you, about everything."
Hermione looked up at him, "Oh you don't have to." She assured and Percy smiled, "I want to, Hermione." He countered and the whistle of the kettle sounded. He swiftly poured in some tea for the two of them and they sat by the fire.
"I'm not entirely a human."
Hermione's interest peaked as she looked at him, putting the tea mug away from her lips, "I'm from, Greek descent, as you know." She nodded, "I'm from divine Greek descent." He admitted.
"Divine as in godly." Hermione questioned.
Percy nodded, "I am a son of Poseidon." He was completely transparent with her. "I know that it is a lot but-"
"Your father is Poseidon?" Hermione questioned, her face slightly aghast. "I thought that the gods didn't exist." He let her talk.
He took her hands in his and squeezed it softly, "They do," He said softly, "They're in America right now, they used to be in Britain for some while but-"
"They exist and I'm dating a demigod?" Hermione repeated.
"Yes." Percy said softly, "I knew it when I first went to Ilvermorny. A lot of monsters live in the mountains." He pulled his sleeve up, the one without the tattoo. "The first monster I ever fought was a Minotaur." He said, he wasn't afraid to use their names but he still winced.
"If it wasn't for emergency magical medicine, my arm would've been useless." He admitted, he then proceeded to tell him about his adventures with Annabeth and Grover, about the second titan war. At one point he had to warn her about names, and how they have power.
He went up to his room and got a comprehensive family tree from Greek mythology, no more was Kronos called by his name but Titan Lord. Hermione's eyes watered as she got the truth and about all the things Percy had to go through.
"But how do you know Leo and Piper." Percy smiled at her and pressed a kiss against her hand. "There is more?" She deducted from Percy's mournful look on his face.
He nodded and began to explain his kidnapping, how he had saved death in Alaska not knowing what defined him as Percy Jackson. "Don't tell me you fought in two wars."
"Against Mother Earth," He nodded, "I nearly ended the world because of a nosebleed." he confessed with a slight smile and he put an arm around her shoulder, "Leo had saved us all, then."
"He washed back at that Island you lived on for a week?" Hermione asked.
Percy nodded, "No-one had done it twice." He said with a smile, "Leo." He tutted and shook his head.
Hermione traced the tattoo on Percy's forearm, "Ron thought this was a death eater's mark, when he first saw it."
Percy huffed in amusement, "Of course," He shook his head, "Now?"
"Now he has seen it and has more questions." Hermione laughed, "I told him it is some muggle hype you might've picked up from that camp of yours." She got quiet again, "You just finished a war in America, why are you in britain?" she questioned softly, a frown on her face.
"Another prophecy." She sat straight up, and looked at him incredulously, "No." She stated, "Really?"
Percy laughed and nodded, "In bloodline pure, a savior shall arise. To aid the chosen, where darkness lies. Defeat the killer, their blood demands." He said, "Love's refuge sought where gods have no hands." A smile painted his face as he looked at Hermione.
She looked up at him with a slight surprise.
"I knew that Aprhodite didn't had to do anything with you." He admitted, "She couldn't have meddled with my feelings for you." He said and leant down a bit, pulling away after kissing her cheek. "That is how I knew they were genuine."
Hermione looked up at him and pulled him into a kiss by the collar of his shirt. She pulled away and pressed her forehead against his, "I really like you, Percy."
"That's a relief because I really like you too, Hermione." Percy teased with a grin on his face. "You make the nightmares go away," He whispered seriously. "Thank you." He expressed his gratitude and pressed a light kiss against her lips.
Hermione gave him a quivering smile and Percy pulled away, holding her hand in his. "For mother's side, their valor shall ignite. As justice is deemed, for his blood and his lineage redeemed. A pureblood's journey, destiny's embrace." He finished.
Hermione frowned, "What does it all mean?"
"I don't know." Percy said quietly. He looked outside and noticed that it had turned night a long time ago. "We should sleep, do you want the same clothes as before?" He asked. Hermione stood up and stretched a bit before nodding, leaning over to him and pressed a kiss against his lips.
Percy sighed softly into the kiss and chased the kiss after Hermione pulled away. With a wave of the wand, everything shut down and cleaned up. He followed the witch upstairs to his room.
Out of his wardrobe he pulled his clothes out and handed it to her, he loved the way she looked in his clothes. "I'll just step out for a second." He said and Hermione went on the ball of her feet to press an appreciative kiss against his cheek.
"Thank you, Percy."
Percy stood in the hallway as an Iris Message appeared of a grinning Piper. "I felt the earth shift and had to guess it was you." She teased.
Percy rolled his eyes, "There was no earthquake."
"I wanted to ask how it is going with Hermione." She said and Percy squinted, looking at the background.
"You just had dinner with Annabeth and you think of me?" He said and grinned, "Should I be flattered or?"
Piper rolled her eyes, "Such a tease." She joked and shook her head, "We were talking about, eh, mother."
Percy cringed, "About that curse or promise she made when you two were still kids." Piper said and her eyes widened as she noticed the door open.
She reached over to wave her hand through the message, but Percy held his hands up, stopping her from doing so. "She knows?"
Piper's eyes widened, "Are you out of your goddamn mind?" She questioned.
"Another prophecy." He stated as Hermione looked up at the Iris Message from beside him. "With hidden knowledge veiled from sight, only to be revealed to his love, a bond for life." He said in Greek. Piper's eyes widened as the conversation continued in their natural language.
"You do know what this means right, a bond for life?" Piper said, her face just slacked in surprise.
Percy nodded, "Soulmates." He said, "I don't want to scare her off, we've talked about destiny, she believes in it. But I want her to know on her own terms." He felt an arm around him.
"What language was that?" Hermione asked as she looked up at him.
"Ancient greek." He answered and pulled her closer to him. Looking back up at the message, Hermione smiled, "Hey Piper." She said cheerfully and waved.
"Hey Hermione. Don't mind me borrowing Percy." She teased. "Congrats on making it official." The two blushed and Percy shot Piper a glare. He didn't remember telling her about it.
Piper cringed a bit, "Never change, Percy." She said as she slightly sweated at the glare. "Pipes?" Annabeth called out from some other room. Piper looked at something behind the Iris Message and blushed profusely. "Gotta go bye." She said hastily and swiped through the IM.
Percy frowned in confusion and Hermione was equally confused. He sighed and pressed a kiss against her temple and pulled away, "I'll just get some clothes and I'll be in the room next-"
"No." Hermione blurted out, and Percy looked at her confused as he already had one hand in his wardrobe. "Stay, for tonight." She stated, "I want to be with you tonight."
Percy frowned as he put his pajama aside and leaned back on the closet. "I don't know if I'm ready for that." He said, he truly was not. He felt as if it was too early for it either way.
Hermione blushed as she took her hands in his, "I meant as in, just sleeping. You mentioned your nightmares."
He felt his heart clench at her soft explanation and he smiled as he pulled her hands up to his lips, "Yes, I'd love to." He said and let go of her hands before he grabbed his pajamas. "Be right back."
He said and walked into his attached bathroom, he took his time changing clothes and walked out to find Hermione half-asleep in the bed. He smiled in amusement as he just turned the lights off and unnoticed got into the bed as well.
Hermione turned to look at him and smiled softly. He couldn't help but smile back at her, 'Goodnight, milady." He whispered.
"Goodnight." She barely got out before yawning.
—
Breakfast was a fun moment, he loved having breakfast with Hermione. The tea, the hidden glances, the slightly bossy corrections from her, he wanted it all. With a snort he pressed a kiss against her temple as he returned back to the stove.
He walked over to refill her tea but Hermione had a different idea as she hooked a finger under his collar and slowly pulled him closer, he followed her with no question. He raised his eyebrows at her, "Oh?" He grinned.
Hermione rolled her eyes and gave him a good kiss. The kind that if Percy even tries to deepen it, he'd probably drop the kettle and accidentally burn her. He hummed as he pulled away, "What was that for?" He asked.
"Before my breath smells like eggs."
Percy laughed, "I should make eggs more often."
The girl rolled her eyes fondly and started to eat. Percy just puts his cold plate down in front of her and starts to eat as well. When they were done, they cleaned and put away the dishes by the wave of his wand.
He changed while Hermione stayed in his oversized clothes. The usual clothes that he wore, "You really need to put your collar properly." She said as she pulled her closer in the same fashion as before and smoothed it out and into the sweater. Her eyes casted down at the small family crest on his jumper.
He felt his heart ache a bit as he remembers that all of his family must've been asleep in the wizarding village where his mom lives. They always rather up around Christmas to spend some time together.
Hermione stood up and cocked her head at him, "Are you ready to go?"
Percy shook his head and quickly walked over to his wine cellar, taking out two bottles and putting it in his moleskin pouch, the extension charm truly is a blessing. "Ready." He said and walked out after Hermione to lock his door.
Percy and Hermione hummed a tune as they walked to Grimmauld Place 12, hand in hand. Hermione knocked on the door and Ginny opened. The girl grinned, "Had a good night?" She teased.
Percy and Hermione blushed, "Lovely, actually." Hermione said and squeezed his hand, "We talked a lot."
Percy nodded, "A lot." He sighed and they were let in by the Weasley. The girl was satisfied with their answer. Hermione let go of Percy's hand when she saw Harry walking down the hall, "Happy Christmas, Harry." She said.
Percy noticed Arthur in the next room and walked over, "How did it heal?" He asked quietly and the man looked far better. He showed his arm, "No scars or nothing, Percy. Have you ever considered being a mediwizard?"
The boy chuckled and shook his head, "I don't think it's a nice fit for me, Arthur." He saw Hermione keep sending looks at him, he shook Arthur's hand and nodded, "I've got to go before milady gets mad at me." Percy joked, Arthur shot a look over his shoulder and nodded, "Me too, she needs my assistance in the kitchen."
