I have been meaning to publish this for a little while now. Just wanted to work on some things. Hope you enjoy.

The next morning Rose and Capella were awoken earlier than most would wake by a clean but incredibly skinny dog. For a moment Rose could not ascertain what had woken her but when she looked over and saw the dog she jumped in shock and surprise.

The jump woke Capella and upon seeing the dog she launched herself towards it throwing her arms around its neck. The dog and Capella both fell over leaving Rose completely shocked on the bed.

"Capella?" Rose speaking made the dog look up at Rose, it looked to Rose like the dog was sad. Using its nose it pushed Capella away a little so it could approach Rose.

"Rose, this is my Dad. Mom showed me pictures and told me all about his form."
Rose looked at the dog quite surprised, silently wondering just how many people around her were Animagus. She had heard it was a hard talent to learn.

"Daddy will you change? I want to see your face" Capella asked a little hesitantly.

The dog looked at Capella with a look of shock. It was clear the dog was not used to hearing anyone call it Dad. The dog took one look around the girls dorm and flicked its head toward the common room.

The two girls left the room following the dog and when they arrived in the common room a thin and broken looking man stood there looking at the girls. His hair was freshly cut and his beard freshly trimmed but It was clear to see just what kind of toll Azkaban had played on him.

Despite his thin and worrying frame Capella launched herself at the man who flinched for a moment before hugging the girl that had thrown herself at him. Rose started to turn and leave feeling like she was intruding on a scene she had no reason to be a part of.

The dog now man saw her attempting to leave and spoke for the first time.

"You don't need to leave. Come closer I want to meet James child. He was so pleased to have a little baby girl."

Rose felt a little conflicted at these words. On the one hand she was happy for Capella but she also felt a longing in her desire to see her own father. Knowing that this was a good day for Capella, Rose pushed her feelings aside and stood next to Capella who had yet to let go of her Dad.

Once Rose was by Capella, Capella stepped away and Rose could see an internal debate going on in Sirius' mind, deciding to help him out Rose hugged the man filling the space Capella had just left. It felt strange hugging a man you had never met and have it feel so right at the same time. The hug did not last as long as Capella's hug and the second Rose pulled away Capella was back in her Dad's arms.

"Capella my little girl, you got sorted into Slytherin I see" Sirius asked quietly seemingly more than happy holding his little girl.

"You're not mad are you? I know from mom you didn't want to be in Slytherin" Capella asked a little fearful that her Dad would be upset.

"Of course not your Mom raised you right I am sure. I trust you will become the best you no matter what house you are in."

Capella let out a sigh of relief, one that was mirrored by Rose though she had not realised she had the same concerns until now. This caused Capella to turn and look at Rose before starting to laugh. The light in Sirius' eyes seemed to shine upon hearing his daughter full of laughter.

Movement in the common room made the three current occupant aware of just how long they had spent and Sirius not wanting to be seen and questioned right now pulled Rose into a hug with Capella.

"I am going to change back into a dog. I have to speak to Dumbledore and you have lessons today so I am going to leave you to prepare for the day. You will see me around the place try not to be sad okay"

Capella seemingly did not wish to release her Dad and though Rose felt bad doing it she pulled her friend away from her father so he could change. Sirius gave Rose a grateful look and smiled at her.

"Look after my Baby girl for me" With that the man was gone and the shaggy dog stood in place looking up at the girls before walking away. Capella who was still feeling a whirlwind of emotions turned to hug Rose, who held her for a while before leading her to the showers.

It was a close call getting to breakfast in time to eat anything and the two girls got quite a few looks arriving into the great hall as most people were leaving. The two ignored the looks that were being thrown their way and started to eat some breakfast for the day.

The second year Slytherins had Potions first thing with the Gryffindors, Capella had charms and so the two parted way after breakfast, Rose couldn't help but worry if Capella would be focused enough for lessons but was happy to remember that Capella had been taught by her mom before coming to school and would probably be fine.

Rose had very mixed feelings about Potions, she loved the subject but disposed of the Professor that taught it. His prejudice infuriated Rose. Today seemed to be no different as soon as the lesson started Snape was antagonising the Gryfindors and taking points for superficial at best reasons.

After struggling through the potions lessons Rose was happy to leave the potions room and head upstairs for DaDa. Rose couldn't help but wonder just what the new professor would be like. The last one seemed fairly competent at the theoretical stuff but so far little had been offered in the ways of practical and Rose hoped this new professor would change that.

Upon arriving in the classroom Rose took a seat in the middle of the room not wanting to stand out in any way. She was quite surprised when Harry joined her at the table she had chosen. Ron and Hermione seemed surprised but they did not say anything.

Rose could tell that Harry had sat next to her to ask her about what was going on but Rose, wanting to see what the new professor was like, shushed him and pointed to the front.

"After class okay?" She whispered hoping to appease him a little.

Harry was not particularly happy about being asked to wait but accepted it knowing Rose like Hermione liked to pay attention in class, even if she was not as intense about it.

It soon became apparent that this professor was more interested in himself rather than the lesson and this was reaffirmed when he handed out a Quiz about his personal life. Rose, who had read the school texts, could answer some of these questions but did not feel like it was worth her time or effort since it had nothing to do with the class.

When it was clear most people were attempting to read and fill in the questionnaire Rose turned to Harry.
"So brother, what do you want to know?"

"Anything would be nice at this point. All I know is what I saw in the Daily Prophet. Sirius is really free?"

Rose could see the disbelief in Harry's face and started smiling more.
"Yep he is a free man. Prison has made him look a little weedy but he seemed to be nice when he came to see Capella this morning. I happened to see him at the same time."

"You saw him? When?" Harry asked feeling a little disappointed that he had not had the opportunity to meet his godfather.

"Well he came to see Capella, not me. She just happened to be sleeping in my bed again. I was going to leave them too but he asked me to meet him. He did say we would see him around so I am sure you will meet him at some point today. You are not upset right?"

"I was until you explained it. Sorry. I do want to meet him. I bet Capella was happy."

"She didn't want to let him go, it was cute. But it made me feel jealous. I wish our Dad could return"

Harry seemed to be having similar thoughts and went quiet for a second before wrapping an arm around Rose's shoulder and hugging her loosely. Rose almost jumped at the contact, Harry was never one to initiate physical contact and often only accepted hugs from Capella and Rose without really hugging back.

It felt nice to be held by her brother and Rose leaned into it a bit making Harry feel a little uncomfortable but he did not let go.
"Think Marlene will let us visit their graves? Do they have graves?"

"I am sure they do but I wouldn't know where to look. I bet Sirius would know though"
Rose responded, removing herself from her brother's hug not wanting to push her luck.

Harry nodded his head confirming he had heard and looked off to the side. Rose gave him a moment to collect his thoughts and wrote down some of the answers she knew were right, ignoring the others just so she wouldn't get in trouble for ignoring it completely.

When Harry looked back at Rose she slid her paper across so he could copy it wanting to keep him out of any trouble that may have come from not answering to which he was thankful.

When the allocated time was up for the questionnaire, Rose started paying a little more attention again curious to see just how seriously the professor would take the test.

I turned out that the teacher did not seem to care about who had not done the Questionnaire, he only seemed to care who had known all the facts about him, Rose was quickly losing hope in him but would give him a few more chances before giving up on him.

If the short quiz had not made Rose doubt the Professors ability to teach the practical that followed had her almost laughing at how bad it was. When the professor fled the room Rose was feeling completely at a loss for what to do. Thankfully Hermione was able to stop the Pixies running rampant.

The noise of the class trying to solve the problem had attracted the attention of someone outside who had been waiting patiently for Rose and Harry to leave. He entered the room after hearing the commotion and was surprised to see the situation was already handled.

Rose, seeing the man enter looked shocked and ran up to him, she stopped just in front of him remembering that they had not long met and he may not feel comfortable receiving a hug. He seemed to realise what was about to happen and hugged her quickly before looking for Harry.

When he saw Harry he looked shocked and Rose was sure she heard him say James under his breath. She looked up at him and he shook his head and waved Harry over. Before Rose could tell Sirius that Harry wasn't a fan of hugs or physical contact Sirius had pulled Harry into a hug.

Harry's reaction was predictable and he tried to get out of the hug, thankfully Sirius realised this and released him.
"James wasn't a big hugger either" He commented seemingly not bothered about Harry's reaction.

"Is it okay for you to be walking around the school Sirius?"

Rose asked, looking back at him.

"Of course. I am a free man after all. I have Dumbledore's permission to spend the day here so I can get to know my godchildren and daughter."

"We should go find Capella then she won't be happy if she knows you are still here and have not collected her" Rose commented laughing to herself, completely missing Harry's silent agreement.

The rest of the students in the room were completely stunned by the appearance of the newly freed criminal in the classroom and even more surprised with how easily Rose was talking to the man.

Harry, Rose and Sirius without thinking about anything else left the room once more leaving the room shocked. Ron and Hermione were looking at each other shocked at being left alone.

By the time the trio arrived at transfiguration Capella had already left so the trio made their way down to the great hall. Deciding it would not be good for Sirius to enter the great hall Rose went in and took Capella out.

Capella upon hearing her Dad wanted to see her she ran out and into his arms. With one arm around Capella Sirius led the three students down towards the Kitchens where they would be able to eat in peace and Sirius would get a chance to get to know the children.

Once in the kitchens the house elves seemed ecstatic at seeing Sirius again. It was clear that they remembered him and wanted to talk and serve him. They started bringing out some of his favourite snacks and drinks.

The reaction of the students showed just how amused they were by the situation and by the time they had managed to calm the house elves half the lunch hour had passed and Capella was trying to persuade her Dad to let her skip classes to spend time with him.

Sirius seemed to be a good speaker; he managed to speak to all three of the students without making any of them feel left out of the conversation. This resulted in Sirius learning much about the three students before him.

Somewhere above in the school a bell tolled signalling lessons were to start soon. Capella once more tried to get out of lessons but it seemed that as much of a mischief maker Sirius had been he was now being responsible and sent the three students to their lessons.

Despite wanting to stay Sirius had to leave that afternoon, he had appointments at St Mungos to discuss his recovery. He didn't come back into the school deciding that his presence would be a distraction, however he left the three students magical mirrors so they could reach him whenever they wanted.

Lessons progressed normally for the rest of the week. Rose's opinion of Professor Lockhart did not improve and nor did his teaching standards. The incident with the pixies seemed to shake his confidence more and most of the time was spent listening to him read extracts from his books. If you asked Rose all the tales seemed a little far fetched for one person to have accomplished.

Thankfully Rose had something to take her mind off the situation. Quidditch trials where to start that weekend. Rose, despite Malfoys multiple complaints that she should not be allowed on the team, was invited to the trials as long as she was not lying about having a Nimbus 2001.

Malfoys comment about his father buying new brooms for the team proved to be in fact true and as a result Captain Flint had given Malfoy the open Seeker position. This did not really bother Rose since she preferred to be a chaser but she knew that they were not really looking for a new chaser if she wanted a spot she would have to prove herself.

The trials went really well for Rose and despite Malfoy demanding Flint not give her a spot on the team the reserve Chaser was given to her. Malfoy made a comment about leaving the team if Flint went through with this but Flint didn't really care too much. He could see well enough Malfoy had less than half the house following his Blood mania.

The decision to add Rose to the team was met with mixed responses. Malfoy and his followers clearly did not believe Rose should have gained a spot and some of the people that followed Rose, even if she did not want them too, worried she was too young. Capella in particular supported Rose and was ecstatic to hear the news that Rose could potentially play in games.

Now that people knew Harry and Rose were related, meeting up with each other was much easier and people seemed less interested in unpicking their friendship. One thing that the teachers had noticed was that other students were following the lead of the Potters and starting to talk to students in other houses.

It was early in the morning the week later and Slytherin were heading down to the quidditch pitch as the Slytherin team got closer to pitch. Rose could clearly make out another team using the pitch and It didn't take a genius to know which team it was.

Oliver Wood, the Gryffindor captain, was not impressed in the slightest that Slytherin were trying to get on the pitch. Rose, not really wanting to get involved stood off to the side, Harry had followed her over wanting to talk to her.

Being wrapped up in conversation, Rose and Harry didn't see until it was too late Ron attacked Malfoy. Rose had not seen the spell that was used before but its effects were very clear and Rose knew Ron would be in trouble for this.

"Well without a seeker I suppose we are not using the pitch. Have a good training session Harry. Know if we meet on the Pitch I won't go easy on you."

After Rose and Harry said goodbye and Harry had taken off again Rose attempted to catch up with her team. Malfoy who was still throwing up slugs seemed to think that because rose had not been there too back up her team she was just as guilty of what happened to him was now ravenous mad.
